Shape Optimization for Reinforced Concrete Culvert (철근콘크리트 암거의 형상 최적화)

  • In this paper, the shape optimization is considered over the upper slab of reinforced concrete culvert. The sequential linear programming method (SLP) is used as a rational approach to this shape optimization. To make a comparison between the arch shaped member and the straight member for the upper slab, the culverts with 5~20m earth height were adopted. It is shown that the optimum rise/span is about 7%-13%, and the arch shaped member is more cheap (over 10%) than the straight member for the construction cost.

Development of a radiation thermometer for the adaptive steel plant (제철소 적응형 복사온도계 개발)

  • In this research, we have worked about the radiation thermometer which can be applied to the hazard circumstance such as steel plant. In the results, we have developed radiation thermometer of a measuring range $500-1500^{\circ}C$, accuracy ${\pm}0.1%$, repeatability ${\pm}0.1%$, resolution $0.2^{\circ}C$. We performed extensive field test for 6 months at the hot strip mill in steel plant. Through the test, we have confirmed the reliability of the developed pyrometer.

  • 본 논문에서는 유도가열조리기의 효과적인 설계를 위하여 입력주파수 변화에 따른 유도가열조리기의 자계와 열계 해석 방법을 제시하였다. 유도가열조리기의 내부자계는 3차원 축대칭 유한요소법을 사용하여 해석하였으며, 열원은 유도가열조리기의 내부에서 유도된 와전류에 의하여 발생되고, 열은 열원과 열방정식을 사용하여 계산되어진다. 또한, 유도가열조리기의 온도특성을 스테인레스와 알루미늄 각각에 대하여 주파수와 투자율에 따라 제시하였다.

  • 액체 분무가 벽면의 평평한 면에 충돌할 때의 거동에 대해 실험을 통하여 조사하였다. 각 분사노즐과 벽면까지의 거리 그리고 분사 속도에 있어서 충돌점에서의 액체 액막의 비산 거동과 평면에서의 액막의 흐름에 대하여 관찰하였다. 충돌점에서 비산하는 액적의 비산율을 정량적으로 측정하였다. 분사속도가 증가에 의해 충돌 거동은 5개의 영역으로 분류되며, 분사속도가 증가하면 비산율도 증가하게 된다. 또한, 충돌거리가 분무의 분열점보다 길때의 분사량의 약 반 정도가 비산하게 되는 결과가 얻어졌다.

  • In this paper, the new claw pole type linear stepping motor(CPLSM) is proposed. And the magnetic equivalent circuit of CPLSM is derived by the structure of the CPLSM. The design parameter and the magnetic flux density of CPLSM are performed with three-dimensional finite element method.

  • In this paper, the magneto-thermal analysis of an induction heating jar is presented as an efficient design. The magnetic field inside the axisymmetric shaped cooker is analyzed using an axisymmetric FEM(Finite Element Method) and the effectual heat source is obtained by calculation of the induction current in the Jar. The temperature distribution can be calculated using the heat source and heat equation.

  • This paper presents reducing method of profile error on a mechanical tuning for multi-spindle control of NC machine tools. To reduce the profile error in the feed drive system, it is useful to adopt same transfer function of multi spindle machine tools. By selecting the correction vector of servo rigidity and natural vibration on JK map, multi spindle control can be tuned by mechanical parameters with small profile error.

  • A numerical algorithm for three-dimension laminar flow in an agitated vessel was established by using the spherical coordinates. Flow pattern for the double-stage paddle impeller was not dependent upon the distance of among the impeller in the agitated vessels. The numerical simulation of the flow pattern in spherical and cylindrical agitated vessel agree well with the visualization results.

  • In this paper, we propose a intelligent controller design method for the water level control of the power plant drum in the form of nonminimum phase system. The proposed method is based on T. Takagi and M. Sugeno's fuzzy model. And we illustrate the improved characteristics as the simulation results, comparing with the conventional the PID and LQ controller design method.
