Cloud Platform for Smartfarm (스마트팜을 위한 클라우드 플랫폼)

  • The smartfarm is a leader in the Field of environmental monitoring in agriculture. By the use of wireless remote systems, monitoring applications of the smartfarm are able to provide vital information to the farmer wherever he may be. Absentee farmers are finding the ease of viewing the application graphs on their mobile phone is providing them with peace of mind. We design system and technical requirements of service for managing and operating smart-farm based on cloud technology. It describes requirements of cloud technology for monitoring, controlling, managing, and operating cloud-based smart farm. Smart farm system and service with cloud platform contains 3 interfaces and 3 services. In addition, smart-farm using cloud platform could have several cases so it should be established and managed in varying way depending on cultivars, its size and type. This paper will focus the industry's attention on the importance of Open/Standard Cloud platform thereby stimulating the smartfarm in agriculture.

  • The use of regenerative energy in AC drive systems has been an issue since the system became an industry standard in the 1990s. According to the quantity of the regenerative energy, the braking resistor in the case of low capacity was common. However the use of such low amount of energy is actively discussed, and the method of mounting the regenerative converter is becoming popular. In this paper, an isolated regenerative converter for reducing the circulating current which is mentioned as the biggest disadvantage of the conventional power regenerative converter system is proposed. In order to save energy, employing a power regenerative converter system for utilizing regenerative energy in an AC drive system is common. However due to the structure of the system, a circulating current is generated, which inevitably causes a decrease in efficiency. In this paper, an isolated regenerative power converter system is proposed to solve the circulating current and computer simulation to verify the possibility. The simulation results show that 20% of the circulating current of the conventional system does not appear in the proposed system, and the validity of the proposed system is confirmed.

  • Big data analysis is the ability to collect, store, manage and analyze data from existing database management tools. Big data refers to large scale data that is generated in a digital environment, is large in size, has a short generation cycle, and includes not only numeric data but also text and image data. Big data is data that is difficult to manage and analyze in the conventional way. It has huge size, various types, fast generation and velocity. Therefore, companies in most industries are making efforts to create value through the application of Big data. In this study, we analyzed the meaning of keyword using Social Matrix, a big data analysis tool of Daum communications. Also, the theoretical implications are presented based on the analysis results.

  • Lately, as artificial intelligence becomes a source of global competitiveness, the government is strategically fostering artificial intelligence that is the base technology of future new industries such as autonomous vehicles, drones, and robots. Domestic artificial intelligence research and services have been launched mainly in Naver and Kakao, but their size and level are weak compared to overseas. Recently, deep learning has been conducted in recent years while recording innovative performance in various pattern recognition fields including speech recognition and image recognition. In addition, deep running has attracted great interest from industry since its inception, and global information technology companies such as Google, Microsoft, and Samsung have successfully applied deep learning technology to commercial products and are continuing research and development. Therefore, we will look at artificial intelligence which is attracting attention based on previous research.

  • This paper is a study on integrated air-conditioning system for 1-ton class commercial vehicle based on electric vehicle. In the case of an electric commercial vehicle, since the opening and closing of the door is frequently performed in order to get in and out of the cargo, the heat loss largely occurs. Therefore, the heating and cooling load is required to be larger than the electric vehicle. As a result, the energy consumed by the heating and cooling system is larger than the passenger electric car in order to satisfy the heat comfort required by passengers. In order to overcome these disadvantages, we performed research using an efficient integrated air conditioning system. Finally, the design and analysis of a heat pump system for heating and a electrical compressor for cooling need to be proceed to develop a high-efficiency air conditioning system for improving the commerciality of 1 ton-class electric trucks and expanding the industrial ecosystem in the electric truck sector.

  • A DC motor is an important driving source used in a wide range along with an induction motor. Although the structure is complex and has disadvantages in terms of maintenance, most of the demands are given to induction motors as a power source in the industry today, but due to its excellent control performance, DC motors are constantly being used as small-sized control motors. In addition, DC motors with a structure capable of high-power and high-efficiency operation are being developed with the development of magnetic materials as a structure capable of using a permanent magnet in a armature. In addition, the configuration of the controller is simpler than that of an induction motor using an inverter, and the demand for a DC motor is still not negligible, so it is still occupied as an important power source. Considering these trends, this paper attempts to investigate the control performance of DC motors through hardware implementation such as modeling through simulation, PWM generation circuit and electric motor circuit using EPLD, and PI control using processor.

  • With the development of online education due to COVID-19, the EduTech market, which combines new technologies such as AI and AR/VR in education is rapidly growing. In addition, the children's industry is steadily growing despite the decreasing birth rate every year as more and more families with one child per household are investing in their children. However, supply of contents to EduTech market is slow compared to demands that are increasing. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to help solve these problems by developing and supporting AR kids contents with convenience, practicality, and efficiency using AR technology. AR content for supporting vocabulary learning for infants is not just an end to watching and listening, but an observation-driven model that can manipulate content directly, which attracts children's interest and helps children learn words. This paper is intended for infants from 15 months to 36 months old when full-fledged language development occurs.

  • The industrial 4.0 era has been opened with the development of artificial intelligence technology, and the realization of smart farms incorporating ICT technology is receiving great attention in the livestock industry. Among them, the quality management technology of livestock products and livestock operations incorporating computer vision-based artificial intelligence technology represent key technologies. However, the insufficient number of livestock image data for artificial intelligence model training and the severely unbalanced ratio of labels for recognizing a specific defective state are major obstacles to the related research and technology development. To overcome these problems, in this study, combining oversampling and adversarial case generation techniques is proposed as a method necessary to effectively utilizing small data labels for successful defect detection. In addition, experiments comparing performance and time cost of the applicable techniques were conducted. Through experiments, we confirm the validity of the proposed methods and draw utilization strategies from the study results.

  • Newly, big data utilization has been widely interested in a wide variety of industrial fields. Big data analysis is the process of discovering meaningful new correlations, patterns, and trends in large volumes of data stored in data stores and creating new value. Thus, most big data analysis technology methods include data mining, machine learning, natural language processing, and pattern recognition used in existing statistical computer science. Also, using the R language, a big data tool, we can express analysis results through various visualization functions using pre-processing text data. The data used in this study were analyzed for 29 papers in a specific journal. In the final analysis results, the most frequently mentioned keyword was "Research", which ranked first 743 times. Therefore, based on the results of the analysis, the limitations of the study and theoretical implications are suggested.

  • Recently, with the advent of the 4th industrial revolution, the role of robots is increasing, and the use of robots is also increasing in the service field. The most popular model for nonlinear research related to robots is the inverted pendulum system. A balancing robot using an inverted pendulum system is a representative nonlinear system and is mainly used to study control theory and other kinematic structures. In this paper, the state of the robot is measured using the 3-axis acceleration sensor (ADXL345) and 3-axis digital output gyro sensor (ITG-3200) or HMC5883L required for balancing robot control, and using the ESP32-WROOM-32 module. I want to design an MCU module that can control a balancing robot. In addition, by using the ESP32-WROOM-32 MCU module, we intend to design an MCU module that can monitor the state of the balancing robot based on WiFi or Bluetooth.
