The main objectives of this study are to examine the effects of self-rated health on depression and to examine the moderating effect of satisfaction with social relationship and leisure on relationship between self-rated health and depression in the elderly with chronic illness. To do this, we analyzed 4,831 elderly people with chronic illness using the 10th Korea Welfare Panel data in 2015. To investigate the moderating effects of variables, we conducted a hierarchial regression analysis and confirmed the change $R^2$. As a result of that, first, subjective health, satisfaction with social relationship and satisfaction with leisure had a direct impact on depression. The results show that the better self-rated health of the elderly is, the higher satisfaction with social relationship is and the higher satisfaction with leisure is, the lower depression is. Second, it was found that satisfaction with social relationship and leisure was moderating variables in the relationship of subjective health and depression. This shows that the approach to the subjective aspect of the parties is important rather than the quantitative approach to the social interaction or leisure life. Based on this results, this study has proposed the implications and limitations of it and suggestions for further study.

In this study, we investigated the effects of health satisfaction and family relationship satisfaction on depression among low-income middle-aged men who are expected to have great economic difficulties. The mediating effect was analyzed to see what kind of change in the depressive state according to the social acquaintance satisfaction. Frequency analysis and regression analysis were performed using SPSS statistics program using data from the 15th Korea Welfare Panel for middle-aged adults aged 50 to 64 years. As a result of analyzing the mediating effect of social acquaintance satisfaction on depression, it showed a partial mediating effect on health satisfaction and a fully mediating effect on family relationship satisfaction. The result of this study is to clearly reveal the effect of service support for improving social acquaintance satisfaction for middle-aged men on mental health such as depression, in the future effective standards can be provided for validation of the validity of social network support services for middle-aged men.

사회적 커뮤니케이션 미디어는 기업 조직의 사회적 네크워크를 활발히 사용되고 있다. 각 커뮤니케이션 정보시스템은 매우 유용하게 사용되고 있지만, 업무적 특성과 사회적 영향 요인에 대한 연구는 매우 적은 편이다. 또한 새로운 정보기술의 도입, 예를 들면, 메신저와 무선 화상통신과 같은 발전은 매체 풍부성 이론으로 아직까지 적용 검증되지 못하고 있다. 본 연구는 업무적 특성과 미디어 활용 그리고 업무성과에 대한 검증을 실시하였다. 분석방법은 서베이를 통하여 소중대기업에서 근무하고 있는 280명을 대상으로 하였고 회귀분석으로 분석결과를 도출하였다. 연구결과로는 업무 특성은 미디어 사용에 긍정적인 영향요인이며 사회적 영향과 친분관계는 두 관계를 조절하고 있음을 발견하였다. 또한 커뮤니케이션 미디어의 활용은 각 업무성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있음을 발견하였다.

This study examines the influence of smartphone use in old age on satisfaction with relationships with spouse, children and social acquaintances among Korean older adults. Data on older adults aged 60 and over, who live in Seoul, was collected through a questionnaire survey and 674 cases were analyzed. The effects of smartphone use on satisfaction with these three types of inter-personal relationships was tested using a multiple regression analysis, controlling for sex, age, marital status, education, employment status, income and health. The results showed that the smartphone use of older adults did not affect spouse relationship satisfaction, but positively affected both children relationship satisfaction and satisfaction with social acquaintance relationship in old age. This suggests that the positive effects of smartphone use on inter-personal relationships in old age work only to improve relationships with children and social acquaintances, but not to enhance the relationship with one's spouse. This study implies that practical efforts to enhance the smartphone use and the level of informatization among older adults are needed to improve the inter-personal relationships and quality of life in old age.

This study was to explore the effect of local community on participation of local festival. In order to carry out the empirical study, 320 survey questionnaires were collected in Cheonan. AMOS 4.0 and SPSS Win 12.0 statistics packages were utilized for analysis of SEM. The study results were as follows: first, analysis on the relationship between identity and participation of local festival(interest of festival participation, extent of local festival, intention of local festival) Showed that identity effected every factor of participation of local festival, second, dependence effected interest of festival participation and intention of local festival, third, social friendship can't effected every factor of participation of local festival.

동료평가제란 같은 문제를 가지고 연구하는 과학하자 동료들의 연구를 평가하는 것으로 외국에서 선진 학문을 배워온 과학자들은 동료평가를 통하여 외국의 높은 학문수준을 유지시키고 선진 과학기술제도를 한국에 정착시키는데 기여를 해왔다. 친분에 의해 좌우되는 문제점도 있기는 하지만 세계적 저명한 학술잡지일수록 엄격한 동료평가를 실시하고 있다는 사실을 알아야 하겠다.

The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between partner violence and depression in the elderly. This secondary analysis study used the data from 2015 Korean Welfare Panel Study. A total of 2,819 older adults who completed the survey about demographic characteristics, health-related characteristics, satisfaction in the relationship with children, satisfaction in social relationship, partner violence, and depression. Data were analyzed with SPSS 23.0 by using descriptive analyses, independent t-tests, $x^2$-tests, bivariate logistic regressions, and hierarchical logistic regressions. In the results of hierarchical logistic regressions, after controlled demographic and health related characteristics, satisfaction in the relationship with children, and satisfaction in social relationship, partner violence was significantly associated with depression in both male and female older people. In conclusion, it is important to make a prevention program to reduce partner violence and depression for not only female but also male older adults.

This study examined the longitudinal relationship between depressive symptoms and alcohol use based on the tension reduction hypothesis and the intoxication hypothesis considering for path of depressive symptoms on alcohol use and vice versa simultaneously. And this study examined the effect of psychosocial behavior factors (i.e. smoking level, self-esteem, satisfaction with family relationships, and satisfaction with social relationships) on depressive symptoms and alcohol use. Using the data on the Korea Welfare Panel Study for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years, this study were estimated using the Latent Growth Curve Model which is helpful for examining differences between the two. The results are as follows: the initial level of alcohol use had a positive impact on the rate of change in depressive symptoms, thereby supporting the intoxication hypothesis. Second, self-esteem and satisfaction with family relationships act as variables with the biggest effect on the initial level and the rate of change in depressive symptoms, whereas other psychosocial behavior factors such as smoking level and satisfaction with social relationship exert the largest influence over the initial level and the rate of change in alcohol use. This study has implications in that it clarified the confused relationship mechanism between alcohol use and depressive symptoms the two. Based on the finding of the study, political and practical implications were discussed.

This study examined the causal relationship of between stressors and depression using the wave 1~4 of Korean Welfare Panel Study by social stress theory. According to the result, the level of depression and depressed group was decreased in the course of time. As a panel regression analysis, Factors affecting the reduction of depression was upward of the income hierarchy, increase the satisfaction of family and social relationships, and residential satisfaction. Based on the results, the author suggested that social work policies and intervention direction should decrease social stress factors with causality to depression of the men in baby boom generation.
