The Moderating Effect of Community Cohesion on the Relationship between Neighborhood Disorder and Community Integration among Persons with Mental Illnesses (동네무질서와 정신장애인의 지역사회통합과의 관계 - 지역사회응집력의 조절효과 분석 -)

  • This study examines the extent to which community cohesion moderates the effects of neighborhood disorder on community integration among persons with mental illnesses(MI) who are living in the community. Stress process model, social disorganization theory, and neighborhood disorder model were considered with regard to the moderating effect of community cohesion. 692 persons with MI who utilized Community Mental Health Enhancement Centers were surveyed and analyzed, employing moderated regression model. Major findings showed that neighborhood disorder increased social integration. Community cohesion moderated the relationships of neighborhood disorder to three dimensions of community integration: physical, social and psychological integration. Implications for community intervention beyond the individual and service-level interventions were addressed in order to accomplish community integration for persons with MI.

  • Interpersonal trust is the mutual "faithfulness" on which all social relationship ultimately depend and applicable to the relations among people rather than to their psychological states taken individually. Recent development in the organizational sciences reflect the importance of interpersonal trust relationships for sustaining individual and organizational effectiveness, researchers have recongnized trust's influence on coordination and control at both institutional and interpersonal levels of organization. Because economic action is embeded within networks of social relationships. researchers have argued that efficiency within complex systems of coordinated action is only possible when interdependent actors work together effectively. Thus, for managers and professionals in organizations, developing and maintaining trust relationship is especially import. The purpose of the present study is to investigate the mechanism of interpersonal trust in the organization.   • Korea Youth Panel (2008) has 2 panels of the 5th year of Knowledge data to perform statistical analysis and regression analysis, the risk factors in the risk conditions of the family of functional deficits, protective factors, the relationship between the mediating effect of psychological adaptation and protective factors verification mechanisms and the psychological adaptation level it is an objective to analyze the protective factors that protect the high youth. To investigate the differences by frequency analysis and personal characteristics of the analyte's was performed t test using PASW (Predictive Analytics Software) 18.0. And to verify the effect of the parameters is performed rank regression analysis for verification of the effects of protection factors for adaptation. Rather than focusing on youth risk factors in social welfare practice field, focusing on processes and protective factors to reduce the risk factors, it is possible to convert the viewpoint overlooking the youth exposed to risk factors. Also, for young people experiencing difficulties that features loss of the family, it is determined that the prepared foundation which can be provided in the direction of social welfare practical intervention.

Perceptions of Social Changes and Subjective Well-Being: A Cross-National Analysis of the Coping Resource Effectiveness (사회변동의 지각과 주관적 안녕감: 대처자원의 효과에 대한 국가 간 차이의 분석)

  • The present study investigated the relationship between the perceptions of social change and subjective well-being, and the effectiveness of coping resources in such a relationship by comparing the structural equation models of the samples obtained in two countries (Korea and the United States). Participants in two countries reported their perceived pace of social change, evaluation of social change, subjective well-being, personal resources(self-esteem and self-efficacy), and social resources. Based on the survey data, a structural equation models was developed and compared across two samples to examine the moderation effects of coping resources by culture and nations. As a result, it was revealed that the perceived pace of social change affected subjective well-being through the mediation of the evaluations of social change and that there were differences in the effectiveness of coping resources: social resources had stronger effects for the Korean sample whereas personal resources had stronger effects for the U.S. sample. Discussions on the psychological impact of a new type of social stress, social change, is included.

  • Cyberspace is on its way to experience dynamic change, hereby encompassing technical and social diversities and multiplicities. The internet, with a history of no more than 10 years, has drastically changed the way, meaning and conduct of our lives, the structure and function of society and communication. Even in psychology, in which the purpose is to scientifically look into the human mind and explore its behavior, the in-depth inquiry into the human behavior and psychological features of the cyberspace have become an increasingly important issue. Research suggests that psychological features and concepts brought about during the process of communication in cyberspace have been influenced by the digital mode following the analogue one, and by the online mode following the off line one. It also suggests that, with new issues peculiar to information society, cultural structures should be re-conceptualized, reconstructed and reevaluated in various fields. This approach to the changing role, meaning and style within society should be rearranged and referred to as cyber psychology.

  • This paper aims to design a system for psychological diagnosis in sandbox play by applying rule based expert system. Sandbox play is one of play therapy and it is a technique that can be combined with psychological diagnosis and treatment using sand and various kinds of figures. In this technique, we focus on psychological diagnostic factors and try to implement a system that automatically diagnoses psychological types when input values are given. Therefore, six kinds of language objects are set and the rules are created according to the types of figures, arrangement of figures, and production time in the sand box used as a reference element in the diagnosis method. In this system, it is assumed that the client recognizes the finished sandbox as a sensor device. Then, when the recognized state enters the input value, the rules based on the language object are ignited in order. Through this, the client is diagnosed with one of 26 types of psychology. As a result, the diagnostic process is simplified and automated. Accordingly, a more detailed psychological diagnosis and treatments are provided.

Factors Affecting Adaptation of North Korean Refugees to South Korean Society: Character Strengths and Psychological Well-being (북한이탈주민의 남한사회적응에 미치는 영향요인 : 성격강점과 심리적 안녕감을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the adaptation factor to North Korean refugees by identifying the relationship between character strengths affecting adaptation process and psychological well-being(PWB) in South Korea. The study examined the relationship between PWB and character strength of 117 participants and identified the sub-factors of character strength that affect the settlement period in South Korea. The data were analyzed by using the Model 1 of Process Macro and SPSS 22. The results of this study showed a correlation between PWB and sub-factors of character strength such as wisdom, humanity, courage, justice, temperance, and spirituality. The main effect was to investigate the relationship between PWB and sub-factors of character strength by independent variables. The level of PWB increased with the level of sub-factors of character strength. The moderate effect was showed in the courage of the settling period in relation to PWB. Finally, Limitations and implications of this study was discussed.

  • 감정이입은 친사회적 행동의 잠재적 동기요인으로서 발달심리학자들 (e.g., Feshbach, 1978 ; Hoffman, 1975)로부터 지대한 관심을 받아왔다. 어려움에 처한 다른 사람에 대해 감정이입적으로 자극된 사람은 상호 체험하는 심적 고통(distress)으로부터 벗어난다는 기대에 의해서, 또는 지원적 행위 후에 대리체험할 수 있는 긍정적인 감정에 대한 기대에 의해서, 그 사람을 지원하도록 동기유발 되어질 수 있다(Barnett & Thompson, 1985; Hoffman, 1975). 감정이입과 친사회적 행동 사이의 긍정적 관계에 대한 충분한 이론적 근거에도 불구하고, 그 관련성을 실증하는데 실패한 많은 연구들에서 나타난 개념적, 방법론적 문제들이 본 논문에서 분석되었다. 성인의 감정이입과 친사회적 행동과의 관계에 대한 연구들은 상당히 일관된 긍정적 결과를 제시해온 반면, 아동들, 특히 어린 유아들을 대상으로 한 경우, 명백하거나 쉽게 해석할 수 있는 패턴의 관련성이 확립되지 못했다. 이러한 종전 연구에서의 문제점은 감정이입에 대한 개념적 논쟁 및 측정방법의 어려움에 기인할 수 있다. 감정이입과 친사회적 행동 사이의 실험적인 관련성의 강도는 이 변인들을 측정하기 위해 사용된 방법들의 특성과 제한성에 다분히 의존하는 것으로 보인다. 친사회적 반응에 영향을 미치는 것으로 가정되어지는 다양한 상황적, 동기적 요소들을 감안하여, 유아의 감정이입 능력이 구체적인 사회적 상황에서 작용되는 과정이 보다 면밀하게 연구되어져야 한다.

A Hermenutic Phenomenological Study of Psychological Burnout Experiences due to Emotional Contagion (정서전염으로 인한 심리적 소진 경험에 관한 해석현상학적 연구)

  • This study explored the essence of psychological burnout experiences due to emotional contagion using a hermeneutic phenomenological approach. In-depth interviews were conducted on 9 participants who work in fields that are subject to emotional contagion. Data analysis was conducted by using van Manen's methodology, insisting that the pure description of an experience can be enriched by adding interpretation. The emotional contagion experiences were identified through this process and the findings were categorized into 3 core themes, 8 essential themes, and 35 subthemes. The first core theme is "emotions in constant exchange". This theme included two essential themes: 'various channels of emotional contagion' and 'subjective states that change depending on the transmitted emotions'. The second core theme, "filtering the experience of emotional contagion" included the essential themes of 'the characteristics susceptible to the emotions of others', 'attitudes of spreading negative emotions' and 'situations that makes one feel overwhelmed by emotions'. The final core theme, "from burnout by emotional contagion to communication" was categorized into the following essential themes: 'burnout-inducing entangled interactions', 'moving toward communication and connection' and 'recovery after psychological burnout'. Finally, the implications and suggestions for future research were discussed by summarizing the core contents of each themes.

교사양성대학 수학교육과 '미분방정식' 강좌 운영 -교육과정 및 교수학습 방법개발과 관련한-

  • 물리학, 공학, 경제학, 생물학, 생태학 등의 자연현상, 사회 현상 그리고 심리상황 등과 관련된 내용들의 모델링 과정을 거쳐 나온 미분방정식의 해를 구하고 해의 의미를 파악하는 작업은 바로 우리의 생활의 진면목을 직접 확인하는 것과 같다. 모델링 과정의 효율성은 교사와 학생간의 충분한 수학적 대화속에서 더욱 의미가 커질 것이다. 아울러 학생들에게 미분방정식의 해의 실제적인 의미를 상상하게 하고 그 결과를 발표하게 하는 것과 해를 구하는 과정에 관한 이론의 이해를 돕는 것이 바람직한 학습 지도 방법이 될 것이다. 전 교육과정을 통해 미분방정식의 모델링 과정을 소개하면서 해의 존재성, 해의 유일성, 해법, 해의 의미 등의 학습 및 지도를 학습자 중심으로 운영할 필요가 있다.
