  • In Korea, the cities continue to deteriorate, while the vacant houses in the small local towns emerge as a serious social problem. Despite the vacant houses emerge as a serious social problem in the small local towns as well as in the large cities, the basic researches into them are yet to be conducted on a full scale. Thus, in order to know about the spatial distribution of the vacant houses, this study conducted the square analysis and the kernel density analysis. As a result, it was confirmed that the vacant houses in Okcheon-gun had certain crowding forms and characteristics at the level of statistical significance. Next, in order to examine the distribution of the vacant houses in terms of the accessibility to the living SOC facilities, the GIS network analysis was performed, focusing on the major facilities and road networks. As a result, it was found that the better the accessibility to the living SOC facilities such as medical and well-being was, the ratio of the vacant houses was lower. In contrast, it was found that the accessibility to the obligatory facilities such as public administration and educational facilities did not have any important effects on the distribution of the vacant houses. All in all, through this study, the spatial distribution of the vacant houses in the small local town and their accessibility to the major SOC facilities could be analyzed.

  • Eunsa Memorial Science Museum is a political space to justify ruling colony. Japanese imperialism made use of science museum in ruling colony under the cloak of propagating science thoughts. The science museums made it natural to rule the inferior Joseon(Korea) by bring the concept of 'Great Science Empire' into relief. The exhibition, lecture, experiment and science movies propagated those colonial ruling ideology. This transplantation of the colonial science museumraised the following problems. First, the science museum was used as means for the propagation of political power. All the aspects of the architecture, exhibition, and operation of the colonial science museum propagated and supported the direction of political authority, and furthermore planted a rosy phantasm of 'Development' and 'Progression' into the colony. Second, The science technology of science museum was treated as 'Result' and 'Instrument'. Japanese imperialism denied that the science is a historical and cultural staple product; it instilled only the 'Instrumental Rationality' in the colony. Third, the science technology dealt in the colonial science museum was below the level. What they educated and set forth as domestic science was to cultivate the laborers people for the political power by internalizing modernistic discipline.

  • The emergence of a hyper-connected-super-intelligence society, called the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, brought about a new change in the security environment. With ICT (Information Communication Technology) convergence and high-tech technologies introduced across the board, the person-centered driving force that moved the real space is replaced by the code-oriented cyberspace, and its dependency is constantly increasing. Paradoxically, however, these technological changes serve as another security vulnerability that threatens our society, and have brought about the justification for building a cyber defense system while simultaneously facing the opportunities and challenges brought by technology. In this study, the theory of self-defense was put forward on the basis of the theoretical basis for actively responding to the increasingly intelligent and mass-evolving cyberattacks, and firstly, the need to enact a cybersecurity law, secondly, and thirdly, the need to develop a response cooperation system with the U.S. and other cyber powers.

  • Due to the recent increase in the disabled population and welfare paradigm, the government is focusing on green welfare and environmental welfare to improve the living environment of the disabled, including the enactment of basic laws and convenience promotion laws. Accordingly, green environmental welfare for the disabled is supported in policy, but there are no evaluation indicators for the green welfare space and healing environment created. Therefore, this study divided the healing environment into physical, psychological, and social aspects, and conducted research using expert FGI to present evaluation indicators that can determine whether spatial roles and functions are appropriate. As a result of the study, the final 51 healing environment evaluation items were derived from 26 physical aspects evaluation items, 14 psychological aspects evaluation items, and 11 social aspects evaluation items. Evaluation indicators derived from this study can be used to evaluate the healing environment created in disabled residential facilities, and can be used as basic data in the planning stage of the healing environment to be created in the future.
