A Study Shrinkage Analysis of Injection mold using Regression Analysis (회귀분석법을 이용한 사출금형의 수축률 분석에 관한 연구)

  • It is not easy to predict the shrinkage rate of a plastic injection mold in its design process. The shrinkage rate should be considered as one of the important performances to produce the reliable products. The shrinkage rate can be determined by using the CAE tools in the design produces. However, since the analysis can take minutes to hours, the high computational costs of performing the analysis limit their use in design optimization. Therefore this study was carried out to presume for mutual relation of analysis condition to get the optimum average shrinkage by regression analysis. The results shown that coefficient of determination of regression equation has a fine reliability over 87% and regression equation of average shrinkage is made by regression analysis.

Study on the Design Optimization to Improve Injection Molding Performance of Plastic Regulator Rail (플라스틱 레귤레이터 레일 성형 최적화연구)

  • Injection molding product is commonly used for reducing the weight of automotive vehicle, and door regulator guide rail with plastic material is also made by injection molding process. In order to improve the injection molding performance of plastic regulator guide rail, optimal molding condition is suggested by numerical simulation and DOE after obtaining the sensitivity of parameters for regulator rail manufacturing on warpage and fill time. Furthermore, multi direct gate method and optimal cooling circuit are introduced to get the uniform temperature distribution and better cooling efficiency in molding product. The effect of the proposed design on the injection molding performance is verified by the test of prototype of plastic regulator guide rail.

  • 본 논문에서는 다수 캐비티 금형의 러너 내 불균일한 전단분포로 인해 발생되는 충전불균형에 따른 치수정밀도, 기계적 강도 등 물성의 차이가 발생되는 문제점을 해소하기 위해서 수지가 처음 분기되는 2차 러너의 구조에 변화를 주어 다수 캐비티 사출성형에서 충전균형을 위한 러너시스템을 제시하였다. 이 러너시스템은 전단률차이에 의한 즉, 온도가 불균일한 수지의 흐름을 혼합함으로써 수지의 흐름을 균일하게 하여 충전균형을 이루도록 하였다. PP수지를 대상으로 각 캐비티 간 균형충전에 대해 이 러너시스템이 효과가 있는지 검증하기 위해 CAE프로그램(Moldflow)을 이용한 유동해석을 통해 그 효과를 나타내 보았다.

Effects of Mold Temperature on the Weldline and Dimensional Stability of Injection-molded Parts (금형온도가 사출성형품의 웰드라인과 치수안정성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we studied the effects of mold temperature on the microstructure of injection molded parts. The weld line decreases in length and width as mold temperature increases. We investigated the dimensional stability of the parts made of two kinds of resin(polypropylene and polystyrene) by varying the mold temperature. As the mold temperature is high, both the shrinkage ratio and the thickness difference for the PS parts decreases. But the observation of PP parts shows a tendency to increase. The easiness of cavity filling and transcription of the mold texture is improved as the mold temperature is high.

  • 자동차 승객 안전에 대한 요구가 점차 확대 되어감에 따라 전방 충격으로부터 승객의 상해를 감소시키기 위한 각종 승객 안전장치 중 하나로, 에어백 시스템은 정면충돌 시 승객 사망률을 약 30%정도 저감시킬수 있다. 에어백은 충돌 시 일정한 힘 이상을 받게 되면 작동하도록 설계하여야 한다. 본 논문은 CATIA를 이용하여 3차원 설계를 하였으며, 해석 프로그램을 이용하여 사출성형품의 구조해석 및 사출 해석을 하여 최적화 하였다.

  • 우리나라는 신발 생산 특히 부품소재 부분에서 세계적인 경쟁력을 갖추고 있는 것으로 평가되고 있으며, 이 중 E.V.A midsole은 가볍고 충격흡수성 등과 같은 특성이 매우 우수하여 샌달의 midsole 부품으로 널리 사용되고 있지만 현재의 midsole 제조방식은 생산성의 한계에 직면하고 있다. 즉, 패턴 갑피(upper)와 Phylon mold를 각각 생산한 후 별도의 공정에서 두 제품을 접착하여 샌달을 만들기 때문에 두 제품을 따로 생산하므로 현재와 같은 방식의 제조에 의한 기존 방식의 샌달은 제작비용의 증가 및 생산성 저하 등의 여러 가지 문제점을 가지고 있어 보다 새로운 일체형 자동화 사출 mold에 의한 샌달 제조방식의 필요성이 절실한 실정에 있다.(중략)

  • The fabrication of ceramic machine components by injection molding(CIM : Ceramic Injection Molding) is critically dependent on the shaping and binder extraction techniques. Injection molding is of keen interest to ceramic industries because CIM is suitable for making an intricate shape and manufacturing cost is lower than other process when production scale is large. The success of the molding process is dependent on the correct formulation of the organic vehicle and the achievement of optimum filler loading. Fine alumina powders and polyethylene binder systems were employed to prepare moldable blend then produce a simple specimen by compression molding. Flow characteristics of the mixture was evaluated by viscosity measurement. Optimum binder system and ceramic volume loading for injection molding were determind. A good debinding technique was utilized to improve the quality of debinded parts and save the debinding time. The simple ceramic part was successfully sintered after debinding and its microstructure examined with SEM revealed good consolidation.

  • Three-dimensional (3D) numerical simulations have been carried out to study how coolant injection conditions influence the cooling efficiency and projectile ejection performance in a mixture-gas ejection system (or gas-steam launch system). The 3D single-phase computational model was verified using a 1D model constructed with reference to the previous research and then a two-phase flow computation simulating coolant injection on to hot gas was performed using a DPM (Discrete Phase Model). As a result of varying the coolant flow rate and number of injection holes, cooling efficiency was improved when the number of injection holes were increased. In addition, the change of the coalescence frequency and spatial distribution of coolant droplets caused by the injection condition variation resulted in a change of the droplet diameter, affecting the evaporation rate of coolant. The evaporation was found to be a critical factor in the design optimization of the ejection system by suppressing the pressure drop while the temperature decreases inside the breech.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effects of medium and cumulus cell on in vitro fertilization of porcine follicular oocytes. The results obtained are as follows ; 1. The normal fertilization rates of in vitro matured follicular oocytes cultured in 00, mT ALP and TCM-HEPES medium were 14.0~24.3%, 30.8~32.7% and 21.4~23.9%, respectively. These data indicated that the optimal medium for fertilization of porcine oocytes in vitro was the mTALP medium 2. The normal fertilization rates of epididymal sperm were 24.3%(80), 30.8%(mTALP) and 23.9%(TCM-HEPES), and those of ejaculated sperm were 14.0%(B0), 32.7%(mTALP) and 21.4%(TCM-HEPES). 3. The sperm penetration rates of cumulus-enclosed and cumulus-free oocytes on in vitro fertilization were 54.0% and 72.0%. The normal fertilization rates of cumulus-enclosed and cumulus-free oocytes were 11.9% and 21.5%. The normal fertilization rate of cumulus-enclosed oocytes was significantly(P<0.05) higher than that of cumulus-free oocytes.
