Transcoding Path Creation Model for the UTR under Considering of Source QoS and Destination QoS (소스 QoS와 목적 QoS를 고려한 단위 변환기의 변환 경로 생성 모델)

  • Even though a variety of types of multimedia data are being used on the basis of user characteristics and demands, all devices do not always support playing all multimedia data. Accordingly, a multimedia transcoder is used to create media suitable for each environments. This is due to the dissimilarity between the source QoS and the target QoS. Therefore, we need to consider adapting the two dissimilar QoS. Therefore in this paper, we create a suitable application-specific transcoding path with unit transcoders before performing the media transcoding in consideration of source QoS and target QoS. and the created transcoding path performs the transcoding. Here, creating a UTR(Unit Transcoder) conversion path that considers the transcoding possibility and the minimum of the UTR will allow the playback of various multimedia data with convenience. and The consideration of QoS allows users to use the multimedia easily.

  • Recent commencement of digital broadcasting has enabled various TV programs through hundreds of channels. As a result, it becomes a time-consuming job for the TV audience to look up newspaper or TV magazines for the schedule of a specific TV program. To relieve this problem, digital broadcasting usually provides an EPG(Electronic Program Guide) for the audience. Currently. most EPG services are focusing on the visual delivery of information through a web site, digital TV or mobile devices. However, this approach could cause a serious restriction to some users including drivers or visually handicapped persons, who can't input keywords for the search. In order to solve this problem, in this paper, we propose a VoiceXML-based EPG retrieval system that enables even such special users to browse EPG. conveniently using a mobile phone. We implemented a prototype system and proved its effectiveness through experiments.

  • If existing system need to expand security part, the security was established after paying much cost, processing of complicated installation and being patient with inconvenience at user's view because of closed structure. In this thesis, those defects could be overcome by using open security tools and constructing security server, which is firewall of 'bastion' form including proxy server, certification server and so on. Also each security object host comes to decide acceptance or denial where each packet comes from, then determines security level each hosts. Precisely it is possible choosing the packets from bastion host or following at the other policies. Although an intruder enter into inside directly, it is constructed safely because encryption algorithm is applied at communication with security object host. This thesis suggests more flexible, independent and open security system, which improves existing security through systematic linkage between system security and network security.

  • s programming education becomes more important in recent years, it is necessary to learn how the source code written by students reflects Object-Oriented(OO) concepts. We present a tool called the Round-Trip Translator(RTT) that transforms the Unified Modeling Language(UML) class diagram and Java source code to provide a web-based environment that provides real-time synchronization of UML and source code. RTT was created by improving existing RTE and is a tool for students who are learning OO concepts to understand how their UML or source code reflects the concepts that user intended. This study compares the efficiency and user- friendliness of RTT with the existing Round-Trip Engineering-based tools. The results show that students have improved understanding of OO concepts through UML and source code translation by using the RTT. We also found out that students were satisfied with the use of the RTT, which provides more efficient and convenient user interface than the existing tools.

  • Smartphone have become commonplace because they have the advantage of facilitating communication with others and making life easier. The smartphone's system log stores various data related to the user actions. Since 2015, Huawei has been growing rapidly, with its sales volume increasing and it was ranked second in the world in three years. The use of Huawei smartphones by many users means that Huawei smartphones are likely to be used to detect traces of criminal investigations, so we need to study system logs of Huawei smartphones. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze system log which is forensically meaningful for Huawei smartphone. We also propose how to use logs in forensic investigation.

  • With the recent increase in the proportion of single-person households, starting in 2016, the domestic shared personnel mobility market such as electric kickboards and electric wheels has grown rapidly. Personal transportation means such as electric kickboards are power devices using electricity and are eco-friendly, lightweight, and do not occupy a separate parking space. Above all, it has the advantage of being convenient to travel short and medium distances, so it has been able to obtain a lot of demand from younger users who pursue reasonable consumption, and accordingly, the related market has grown rapidly. However, as absence of the charging station for electric kickboards, electric kickboards are left everywhere on the road, and are emerging as a threat to safety as well as aesthetics. Therefore, this paper aims to research and propose a new IoT management system for efficient recovery of shared electric kickboards. Through this system, it is expected that the high recovery rate of the electric kickboard can be maintained, and in conclusion, the safety of the user and the surrounding environment can be improved.

A Study on the User Analysis and Design Improvement Direction of Kiosks (국내 키오스크의 사용자 분석과 디자인 개선 방향에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to study the direction of improving kiosk design for convenient use by all users by increasing the usability of kiosks based on universal design principles. The direction of design improvement was studied by deriving essential improvements through additional surveys verifying the results of age-specific surveys and analysis related to the use of kiosks. The results of the study are as follows. High contrast between kiosk screen background and design elements, yellow color, and outline design elements increase readability. Then, reduce and enlarge the font based on 10pt. In addition, in consideration of wheelchair passengers, the area where the lower part cannot be designed and the minimum height of adjusting the height of the kiosk were derived. In the future, kiosk design requires a design and system that can diversify the functions of kiosks according to individual characteristics, and design should be focused on the application of universal design. Since this study has limited research subjects, further studies on various samples are required, and verification studies related to color and readability will also be conducted.

  • In December 2014, Livestock and Livestock Products Traceability Act was established, allowing consumers to receive livestock traceability information. While the Livestock Traceability System provides consumers with transparent and fair information about their food, it has brought increased workload and penalty burdens to stakeholders in the livestock industry. In this paper, we propose an IoT system for inventory management based on traceability numbers to enable sellers to conveniently provide livestock traceability information to consumers. We analyzed the protocol for managing data from electronic scales and conducted functional testing and verification on mobile devices. Furthermore, we implemented the design and system functionality, taking into account UI/UX on Android OS-based devices to synchronize and interconnect traceability and product information with electronic scales. We anticipate that the proposed approach will minimize user inconvenience and raise production efficiency in the existing market.

  • This paper suggests one model, which can be monitor and control target system at anytime and anywhere by a WAP and ME based personal cellular phone(Feature phone) and internet connection. The suggesting model tried to overcome constraints of distance and mobility of conventional methods, TCP/IP based remote data monitoring system, which combine PDA and WLAN technologies. For the experiments of suggesting model, the target systems are constructed with individual modules, which need AC or DC power control. The development software for the control and monitor of local system use NI Labview for the easy-programming and confidence. Also, web server use APM setup for the general user. The mobile connection environments of personal cellular phone are programmed by use WML and mHTML language for the general access. Through the experiments, we have showed that suggesting model can overcome constraints of distance and mobility of conventional system.

  • In a web 2.0 environment, as a wide range of web services are being utilized, it requires quick and convenient way to develop web applications. For this purpose, the framework has been recently introduced and has been applied to web applications. However, software quality application model has not been presented for the web application using framework. In this paper, we develop web application, online library system using a number of frameworks. The system allows users to freely share book information. In order to evaluate the system, we present new software quality evaluation model for web applications using framework. The five quality attributes, functionality, usability, efficiency, maintainability, stability are defined based on the international standard for software quality evaluation, ISO/IEC 9126-2. We also propose the evaluation metrics for the web application using framework and perform quantitative evalzuation for the online library system.
