소프트웨어 개발과정에서 사용자 요구사항을 만족하기 위한 유용한 소프트웨어 개발도구를 사용하면 매우 효과적이지만 사용자 관점에서 요구사항 검증을 위한 방법이 부족한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 시스템 구현 전 단계에서 사용자 요구사항을 효율적으로 검증할 수 있는 프로토타입 RV-UI 모델을 제안하여 개발자와 사용자간 요구사항이 적절히 반영되어 개발 시스템이 효과적으로 설계되고 구현됨을 나타낸다. 본 논문에서 제안한 RV-Ul 모델은 기존의 상용화된 시스템 인터페이스를 기능별 모델로 분류하였으며, 이원적 품질이론을 적용한 인터페이스를 통해 사용자가 요구하는 명확한 요구사항과 요구사항에 따른 형상관리 효과를 극대화할 수 있게 설계하였다.

본 논문은 KCC 정보통신(주) e-RoadMap 웹 방법론에 적용한 컨텐츠, 데이터, 사용자인터페이스 모델이다. 이는 널리 알려진 구조적기법에 웹 어플리케이션을 개발하는 절차를 반영한 모델이다. 그러므로 기존의 방법론 사용자들에게 이해가 용이하다. 이벤트리스트와 웹 시나리오요구서를 통하여 사용자요구정의를 하고, 컨텐츠 모델은 기존의 엔터티 관계도를 이용하여 컨텐츠를 도출토록 하였으며, 프로세스 모델에서는 웹에 구현할 프로세스를 도출하였다. 사용자 인터페이스모델에서는 웹으로 구현할 항해설계 및 멀티미디어 설계를 반영하였다. 본 제안모델은 컨텐츠도출, 컨텐츠를 운용하는 프로세스도출 및 이들의 상관관계를 제시하고 있으며, 이를 통하여 사이트 구조 및 컨텐츠를 상세 정의토록 하였다.

Rapid development of electronic technology has made it possible to perform various function. But this technology made it increase it's complexity. Therefore, It was important to identify usability problem in interface design. The quality of interface to promote the efficient interaction should be evaluated with regard to users' cognitive characteristics. So, in this paper, washing machine, that is one of the most useful electronic home application was studied menu structure on interface and it's operational states transition. At first, an cognitive menu structure is identified with users' conceptual similarity of the main function of washing machine. Then three washing machines was selected to compare with the cognitive menu structure. And, we were analyzed how operational state of the washing machine was transfered. As a result, we can be revealed that menu operational method based on the cognitive structure was consistent with the user's preferred operational method during the experimental tasks and the users and designers had a different knowledge of an it's function structure. These results will be useful to design the washing machine interface.

This study aimed to demonstrate the effect of feedback type on users' subjective responses in a voice user interface. Feedback type is classified depend on information characteristic it involves; verification feedback and elaboration feedback. Error type is categorized as recognition error and performance error. Users' subjective assessment about system, feedback acceptance, and intention to use were measured as dependent variables. The results of experiment showed that feedback type has impacts on the subjective assessment(likeability, habitability, system response accuracy) of VUI, feedback acceptance, and intention to use. the results also demonstrated an interaction effect of feedback type and error type on the feedback acceptance. It leads to the conclusion that VUI should be designed with the elaboration feedback about error situation.

Recently emotional relationships between industrial products and user experience are getting more attention than ever. However, current user interface design has focused just on the mechanical and logical aspects. This research proposed a new approach to improve user's emotional experience to interface design and introduced storytelling as a new possibility. Four types of user interface - logical interface, picture added interface, storytelling-applied interface, and storytelling-applied interface with a story script - were used for this research. Eighty college students participated in this research. Each participant was randomly assigned to one of four types of user interfaces. Additionally, their individual differences in affect intensity were measured. he results show that users reported more emotional experience in the storytelling-applied interface and storytelling-applied interface with a story script than the logical interface and just picture added interface. The results also suggest that the higher satisfaction was experienced for the storytelling-applied interface. And all those results are differentiated by the users' affect intensity. The users who have higher affect intensity expressed heavier emotional experience and deeper satisfaction for the storytelling-applied interface.

본 논문에서는 실시간 성능 관리를 위해 패킷 분석 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 기존의 MIB 정보를 이용한 망 관리에서는 관리국의 주기적인 요청으로 각 에이전트의 MIB 정보를 가져와 분석하는 방식으로, 실시간 감시에는 적합하지 않은 단점이 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 실시간 트래픽 감시를 위해 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 제안된 시스템은 트래픽 상태를 감시하는 모니터링 시스템과 관측된 트래픽을 보여주는 인터페이스 부분으로 나눌 수 있다. 모니터링 시스템은 각 노드의 트래픽을 감시하여 각 패킷별로 구분하여 사용자 인터페이스에 넘겨주게 되며, 이를 사용자 인터페이스에서는 수치형 자료로 표시하거나, 범주형 자료인 그래프로 나타내게 된다. 이 시스템은 각 노드의 부하 여부를 감시하여, 비정상적인 트래픽의 폭주를 발견하게 되면 분석 모듈의 작동에 의해 해킹을 비롯한 네트워크 장애를 감지할 수 있다. 이는 실시간 망 관리의 중요한 기본 기술로 여러 분야에 활용할 수 있다.

To design a user-adaptive web surfing system, we nay take the approach to divide the whole process into three phases; collecting user data, processing the data to construct and improve the user profile, and adapting to the user by applying the user profile. We have designed three software agents. Each privately works in each phase and they collaboratively support adaptive web surfing. They are IIA(Interactive Interface Agent), UPA(User Profile Agent), and ANA(Autonomous Navigation Agent). IIA provides the user interface, which collects data and performs mechanical navigation support. UPA processes the collected user data to build and update the user profile while user is web-surfing. ANA provides an autonomous navigation mode in which it automatically recommends web pages that are selected based on the user profile. The proposed approach and design method, through extensions and refinements, may be used to build a practical adaptive web surfing system.

유비쿼터스 환경에서 사용자는 언제 어디서나 주변에 편재하는 컴퓨팅 장치나 서비스를 활용하여 자신이 필요로 하는 작업을 수행할 수 있다. 이러한 컴퓨팅 장치와 서비스를 제어하기 위한 표준으로서 UPnP(Universal Plug and Play)가 각광을 받고 있다. 하지만, 기존에 개발된 UPnP 장치의 원격 제어 프로그램은 사용자의 상황 정보, 선호도 및 접근 권한에 관계없이 동일한 사용자 인터페이스를 제공하기 때문에 사용자에게 편의를 제공하는데 있어 한계가 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점을 극복하기 위하여 개발된 개인화 및 상황 인지를 지원하는UPnP 장치 원격 제어 프로그램의 설계 및 구현에 대해 기술한다. 제안된 원격 제어 프로그램은 사용자의 상황, 선호도 및 접근 권한에 따라 사용자 인터페이스(User Interface, UI)가 동적으로 생성되고 재구성된다. 또한 이러한 UI 개발의 편의성을 위하여 UPnP 장치 기술(description)에 따라 UI를 자동으로 생성하는 방법에 대해서도 기술한다.

With the increasing number and variety of internet users as well as the development of internet technology, web contents have been taking a more comprehensive, integrated, and practical form. This change has brought to our attention the importance of the information architecture and menu design, both of which are required for the users to navigate vast amount of data promptly, correctly and easily for effective communication in the web sites. In this study, web sites were categorized by the service levels provided to the users, and sampling was performed accordingly. Then, information architecture, the layout and the presentation of the menu design were analyzed. The result of the analysis show that there are distinguishable characteristics in how the menus were expressed and designed, and that these characteristics reflect the users' characteristics in the web interface menu design. With the result of this study, we present a guideline for information architecture and web interface menu design, which reflects user characteristics thereby strengthening usability. Using this guideline, we expect the development of web interface design which should support more efficient communication on the web.
