  • Changed TV, that has multi-channel and interactive attribute, requires viewer's activity. Also, broadcasting environment and TV user interface require same things equally. But, the viewer feels uncomfortable in current situation because they recognize the TV as passive media. especially, TV interface can't overcome limitation of TV media. And such interface is provided as it is. This problem brings viewer's confusion and dissatisfaction more and more. This study raises a question about viewer's activity and satisfaction, analyzes the relation and effect between activity and satisfaction.

  • This study looks at the recently increasing metaverse platform from the perspective of users. Therefore, to understand the metaverse concept as an extended space, we looked at the spatial theory and looked at the paradigm from the perspective of lifestyle and technological change. The case was viewed as 'big tech', and it was shown to be developing in various forms. simulation, Immersense, It is reclassified into Tranconnect and Explorience interfaces to suggest directions for use in various fields.

  • The revolution of smart media such as smart phone, smart TV and tablets has brought easiness for people to get contents and related information anywhere and anytime. The characteristics of the smart media have changed user behavior for watching the contents from passive attitude into active one. Video is a kind of multimedia resources and widely used to provide information effectively. People not only watch video contents, but also search for related information to specific objects appeared in the contents. However, people have to use extra views or devices to find the information because the existing video contents provide no information through the contents. Therefore, the interaction between user and media is becoming a major concern. The demand for direct interaction and instant information is much increasing. Digital media environment is no longer expected to serve as a one-way information service, which requires user to search manually on the internet finding information they need. To solve the current inconvenience, an interactive service is needed to provide the information exchange function between people and video contents, or between people themselves. Recently, many researchers have recognized the importance of the requirements for interactive services, but only few services provide interactive video within restricted functionality. Only cooking domain is chosen for an interactive cooking video query service in this research. Cooking is receiving lots of people attention continuously. By using smart media devices, user can easily watch a cooking video. One-way information nature of cooking video does not allow to interactively getting more information about the certain contents, although due to the characteristics of videos, cooking videos provide various information such as cooking scenes and explanation for each recipe step. Cooking video indeed attracts academic researches to study and solve several problems related to cooking. However, just few studies focused on interactive services in cooking video and they still not sufficient to provide the interaction with users. In this paper, an interactive cooking video query service system with linked data to provide the interaction functionalities to users. A linked recipe schema is used to handle the linked data. The linked data approach is applied to construct queries in systematic manner when user interacts with cooking videos. We add some classes, data properties, and relations to the linked recipe schema because the current version of the schema is not enough to serve user interaction. A web crawler extracts recipe information from allrecipes.com. All extracted recipe information is transformed into ontology instances by using developed instance generator. To provide a query function, hundreds of questions in cooking video web sites such as BBC food, Foodista, Fine cooking are investigated and analyzed. After the analysis of the investigated questions, we summary the questions into four categories by question generalization. For the question generalization, the questions are clustered in eleven questions. The proposed system provides an environment associating UI (User Interface) and UX (User Experience) that allow user to watch cooking videos while obtaining the necessary additional information using extra information layer. User can use the proposed interactive cooking video system at both PC and mobile environments because responsive web design is applied for the proposed system. In addition, the proposed system enables the interaction between user and video in various smart media devices by employing linked data to provide information matching with the current context. Two methods are used to evaluate the proposed system. First, through a questionnaire-based method, computer system usability is measured by comparing the proposed system with the existing web site. Second, the answer accuracy for user interaction is measured to inspect to-be-offered information. The experimental results show that the proposed system receives a favorable evaluation and provides accurate answers for user interaction.

Effects on the continuous use intention of AI-based voice assistant services: Focusing on the interaction between trust in AI and privacy concerns (인공지능 기반 음성비서 서비스의 지속이용 의도에 미치는 영향: 인공지능에 대한 신뢰와 프라이버시 염려의 상호작용을 중심으로)

  • In research on the use of AI-based voice assistant services, problems related to the user's trust and privacy protection arising from the experience of service use are constantly being raised. The purpose of this study was to investigate empirically the effects of individual trust in AI and online privacy concerns on the continued use of AI-based voice assistants, specifically the impact of their interaction. In this study, question items were constructed based on previous studies, with an online survey conducted among 405 respondents. The effect of the user's trust in AI and privacy concerns on the adoption and continuous use intention of AI-based voice assistant services was analyzed using the Heckman selection model. As the main findings of the study, first, AI-based voice assistant service usage behavior was positively influenced by factors that promote technology acceptance, such as perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and social influence. Second, trust in AI had no statistically significant effect on AI-based voice assistant service usage behavior but had a positive effect on continuous use intention. Third, the privacy concern level was confirmed to have the effect of suppressing continuous use intention through interaction with trust in AI. These research results suggest the need to strengthen user experience through user opinion collection and action to improve trust in technology and alleviate users' concerns about privacy as governance for realizing digital government. When introducing artificial intelligence-based policy services, it is necessary to disclose transparently the scope of application of artificial intelligence technology through a public deliberation process, and the development of a system that can track and evaluate privacy issues ex-post and an algorithm that considers privacy protection is required.

  • The competition to capture a larger slice of the market in Mobile Communication business is increasing among companies. In order to achieve and maintain a competitive advantage in the Asian market, it is critical to continue to develop new technology. Understanding the underlying distinctive characteristics and needs of each market and the cultural backgrounds that drive those needs is a necessary focus. Companies with marketing strategies based on a correct understanding of market needs will capture dominant positions in the market. The purpose of this study is to identify those differences in user behavior and cultural tendencies among different people in different countries in the mobile telecommunication market. This research is based on an on-line survey in three countries (Korea, China, and Japan). Below are the contents of the survey on the mobile phone based on: 1) User behavior 2) Design preference 3) Purchasing behavior 4) User awareness on manufacturer brand. Through the analysis of this questionnaire it is possible to identify the differences and similarities among countries dearly. 1) Cultural trends and perceptions related to mobile phone usage were largely caused by differences in the state of technology, policies and business strategies of mobile sonics carriers and manufacturers, and national tendencies, of each country. 2) Korean and Japanese users produced similar responses to the questions related to advanced technology, whereas Korean and Chinese users responded similarly to national tendency-related questions. 3) To the questions related to business strategies of mobile service carriers and manufacturers, users in all three countries displayed markedly different responses. Once again, accurate analysis of the differences and similarities related to mobile phone usage in each country will help the companies in this industry to gain a competitive edge in the market. This study should not stop at simple comparison but be a framework for giving companies a dear future direction for technological development.

  • 디지털 컨버전스와 유비쿼터스 시대의 시작은 디지털 미디어 기술의 발전과 방송 통신 사업의 컨버전스를 가속화 시켰으며, 그 결과로DMB, WCDHA, Wibro, IP-TV, HSDPA 등의 새로운 형태의 차세대 제품과 서비스들이 뉴미디어 매체의 핵심으로 등장하고 있다. 국내에서 방송 통신의 컨버전스의 빠른 진행은 세계 최초로 디지털 멀티미디어 방송(DMB) 서비스 시작을 가능하게 하였다. DMB 서비스는 멀티미디어 서비스가 핵심이다. DMB 데이터 서비스인 Broadcasting Website Service(BWS)는 현재 지상파 DMB방송 사업자인 KBS, MBC, SBS, YTNDMB가 본방송 준비 막바지 단계이며, 삼성 전자와 LG전자를 비롯한 단말기 개발사들도 데이터 서비스를 위한 제품 출시에 서두르고 있는 등 DMB 산업의 활성화의 주역이 될 것으로 예상된다. DMB의 데이터 서비스는 뉴스, 날씨, 프로그램 정보 등의 단순 정보보기 수준에 그치지 않고, 리턴 채널을 이용한 양방향 서비스와, SMS, 전화걸기 등 휴대전화 단말의 고유기능과의 연계를 통한 다양한 서비스도 선보일 것이다. 더 나아가 향후 T-Commerce와 개인 광고 등 새로운 비즈니스 모델과 사업영역으로 확산시켜 나갈 수 있을 것이다. 그러나, 아직까지 DMB와 데이터 서비스는 초기단계로서, 표준 기술의 규격 작업, 이론적 논의들, 관련 사업자들의 비즈니스 준비 등에서 검토되어, 실제 사용자들을 대상으로한 연구 분석이 이루어 지지 않았다는 연구의 한계를 가지고 있다. 본격적으로 방송, 통신 컨버전스 데이터 서비스가 시작되면서, 사용자들에 초점을 맞춘 많은 연구가 이루어지길 바라며, 이러한 연구의 분석를 통해 또 다른 새로운 서비스와 비즈니스 기회의 창출을 기대해 본다.여 RD(Rate Distortion) 최적화 기반 모드 결정을 빨리 완료함으로써 고속 프레임간 모드 결정을 가능하게 한다. 제안된 방법은 프레임 간 모드 결정을 고속화함으로써 스케일러블 비디오 부호화기의 연산량과 복잡도를 최대 57%감소시킨다. 그러나 연산량 감소에 따른 비트율의 증가나 화질의 열화는 최대 1.74% 비트율 증가 및 0.08dB PSNR 감소로 무시할 정도로 작다., 반드시 이에 대한 검증이 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 현지관측에 비해 막대한 비용과 시간을 절약할 수 있는 위성영상해석방법을 이용한 방법은 해양수질파악이 가능할 것으로 판단되며, GIS를 이용하여 다양하고 복잡한 자료를 데이터베이스화함으로써 가시화하고, 이를 기초로 공간분석을 실시함으로써 환경요소별 공간분포에 대한 파악을 통해 수치모형실험을 이용한 각종 환경영향의 평가 및 예측을 위한 기초자료로 이용이 가능할 것으로 사료된다.염총량관리 기본계획 시 구축된 모형 매개변수를 바탕으로 분석을 수행하였다. 일차오차분석을 이용하여 수리매개변수와 수질매개변수의 수질항목별 상대적 기여도를 파악해 본 결과, 수리매개변수는 DO, BOD, 유기질소, 유기인 모든 항목에 일정 정도의 상대적 기여도를 가지고 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이로부터 수질 모형의 적용 시 수리 매개변수 또한 수질 매개변수의 추정 시와 같이 보다 세심한 주의를 기울여 추정할 필요가 있을 것으로 판단된다.변화와 기흉 발생과의 인과관계를 확인하고 좀 더 구체화하기 위한 연구가 필요할 것이다.게 이루어질 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.는 초과수익률이 상승하지만, 이후로는 감소하므로, 반전거래전략을 활용하는 경우 주식투자기간은 24개월이하의 중단기가 적합함을 발견하였다. 이상의 행태적 측면과 투자성과측면의 실증결과를 통하여 한국주식시장에

  • One type of innovative multimedia platform environments is mobile data services (MDS), exemplified by Nate, Show, and OZ. In the context of MDS, enhancing user's continuance intention is a significant challenge to the continuing growth and long-term viability of MDS. Because the cost of using MDS is borne mainly by users, they are likely to evaluate it based on perceptions of what is received and what is given. This study identifies perceived usefulness and perceived enjoyment as the 'get'components, and perceived fee and perceived anxiety as the 'give' components. To understand the role of get and give components in the MDS post-adoption environment, this study incorporates these components into expectation confirmation model. We collected data from 204 users who had direct experiences with MDS within recent 3 months. The data was analyzed by employing PLS (partial least squares). Theoretical and practical implications of our findings are discussed.

  • The objective of this research is to identify the factors which influence users' intention to use mobile Internet. There are lots of researches based on Technology Acceptance Model trying to identify the factors which have influence on accepting mobile Internet and its related services. These researches, however, have some limitation in the sense that they focus only on the features of mobile Internet itself while users make overall decision after the comparison of a new service channel with existing service channels in many directions. Therefore, we are going to analyze the impact of users' perception on the difference between mobile and stationary Internet toward their intention to use mobile Internet. We identified the features like ubiquitous availability, context awareness, compatibility, friendliness, and economic value from literature review and developed a structural model about the impact of users' perception on the differences of these features between mobile and stationary Internet toward their intention to use mobile Internet through mediate variables such as perceived ease of use, perceived playfulness, and perceived usefulness. After that, we conducted an experimental analysis for the model, and addressed a solution to rev up the usage of mobile Internet based on the results of the analysis.

  • Computer-based on-line communications help to exchange easily information for us. For this reason, on-line communication expands personal computer users'information availability and furnishes users with interactive communication capability. This research focused on the pattern the use of on-line communication and such individual-level factors that are believed to affect on the use of this technology as personal psychological traits and perceived usefulness of the technology. Data were collected from randomly selected samples out of registered college or office worker members of Korean on-line communication services such HiTel, Chollian, Nownuri, and Unitel. The result of the study showed that perceived usefulness of the on-line services affects the level of use most strongly. Individual psychological style was also related to some aspects of the use of on-line communication. Specifically, the more introvert the users, the higher was the level of use of on-line communication.

  • The ATVM(Automatic Ticket Vending Machine) of Seoul Metropolitan is a Kiosk which is called Ticket Vending and Reload Device at the subway station. It is implemented for integrating transportation card system which is separated from a paper subway ticket and replacing ticket selling employees. However, since the automatic ticket vending machine was accepted in 2009, there has been confusion of purchasing a ticket. Therefore, it requires improvement of usability. This study, conducts a literature search. Also, the interface of ATVM is analyzed. Finally user observation proceeded at Sinnonhyeon Station of Seoul Metro line 9. The results show that selecting a destination and section fares is confusing process for user. Based on this survey the improvements of UI are proposed to expect advanced directions of the ATVM.
