With the advance of VLSI and network technologies, it has now become a common practice to deploy a various forms of distributed computing environments. A study shows that a lot of network-aware computers are in an idle state for considerable amount of time depending on the types of users and time frames of the day. If we can take the full advantage of those idle computers, we can obtain the enormous combined processing power without further costly investment. In this paper, we present a distributed batch-processing system, called the Java Distributed Batch-processing System (JDBS), which allows us to execute CPU-intensive, independent jobs across a pool of idle workstations on top of extant distributed computing environments. Since JDBS is implemented using a Java programming language, it not only extends the scope of machine types that can be joined to the pool, but makes it a lot easier to build an entire system. Besides, JDBS is scalable and fault-tolerant due to its multi-cluster organization and intelligent strategies. A graphical user interface is also provided to facilitate the registration and unregistration, job submission, and job monitoring.

속도를 개선시켰고, 국소적인 변형이 있는 패턴과 특징의 수가 다른 패턴의 경우에도 좋은 인식률을 얻었다.r interferon alfa concentrated solution can be established according to the monograph of EP suggesting the revision of Minimum requirements for biological productss of e-procurement, e-placement, e-payment are also investigated.. monocytogenes, E. coli 및 S. enteritidis에 대한 키토산의 최소저해농도는 각각 0.1461 mg/mL, 0.2419 mg/mL, 0.0980 mg/mL 및 0.0490 mg/mL로 측정되었다.

This paper aimed at the development of a unified wireless control system in order to control various forms of vibration of bridges. This unified wireless control system unified all different systems each of which functioned for difference purpose such as measurement, analysis, judgement, and control of data acquired from the movement of structure. It was designed to control structures with feedback which was returned according to each different situation after analyzing various signals measured about the structure. In this system, every information in each step from measurement to control was wirelessly transmitted to its central system so that a manager was able to effectively monitor the whole process. Just for the case when any system control need to intervene occurred, a graph user interface was designed for better access. In order to evaluate its basic performance, an experiment was carried out to see how signal input and output were done by comparing its results with those of a wired system. On the basis of the experiment, a vibration control experiment was performed on a model of cable-stayed bridge to see if the unified wireless control system worked well in realtime. This was carried out under four conditions, and the graph and quantitative result under each condition were compared each other. All experiments proved that the unified wireless control system functioned as well as the wired one in terms of its basic performance and vibration control.

In this paper, we propose an energy-aware multi-tree video multicast scheme for wireless ad hoc networks. Some network nodes may have energy enough to receive and forward the whole video content whereas some may not. Even though the video quality may vary depending on the remaining energy, our scheme enables the low-energy nodes to join the video multicast session. The video stream is split into a set of multiple and independent descriptions by MDC (Multiple description coding) scheme. Each description corresponds to a substream and number of substreams determine the video quality. The member nodes determine how many substreams it would receive depending on the remaining energy and expected amount of packets per substream. So does the intermediate tree nodes. That builds a tree per substream and multiple trees per session. The data source disseminates each substream through corresponding tree. The video quality of the member nodes varies according to number of participating trees. We evaluate the performance of our scheme by simulation. Our scheme showed better peak signal to noise ratio and extended the lifetime of the network nodes compared with MAODV, which builds a single tree, and MT-MAODV, which builds multiple trees but does not consider the available energy.
Living Lab is being introduced and applied as an innovation model driven by social entities (residents, users, etc.) and as an innovation place based on local and field. This study analyzed three living lab cases of Bukchon IoT living lab, Seong-Daegol energy transition living lab, and Daejeon Geonneoyu project, which were designated as 'Living Lab' to solve local problems. We analyzed the local problem, the problem solving goal, the role of each participant and the subject, the living lab promotion system, the significance in each case. In addition, the types and characteristics of living labs were elucidated and future development plans were discussed. The result is as follow. First, each case has a tendency to link science technology and ICT with local problem solving though there is a difference between the technologies used. Second, local residents played a leading role in the whole living lab process from problem identification to technical experimentation, diffusion and application. Third, the role of the intermediaries commonly played an important role in the operation of the living lab. Last but not least, each case has different types of living lab. Bukchon IoT living lab being operated as a project by the government / municipality to create a living lab activity-base or to support actors' activities. On the other hand, the Seong-Daegol energy transition living lab and Daejeon Geonneoyu project were conducted by the civil society itself to define problems and explore technologies in order to solve local problems.

In the Chinese construction industry, the utilization of Building Information Modeling (BIM) aims to increase the total output of the construction industry by solving the problem of inefficient interoperability in the construction industry. In 2011, the Chinese Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development despite the technical advantages of BIM and the government policy, the BIM adoption rate in China is lower than 45%. Meanwhile, as the South Korean construction industry is a step ahead of its Chinese counterpart in introducing and utilizing BIM, it is expected that BIM is more actively utilized and accepted in South Korea than in China. According to a comparative study based on the hype-cycle theory, South Korea is at a more advanced stage of introducing BIM, than in China. This study aimed to suggest how to increase BIM utilization rates in China. To this end, this study comparatively analyzed factors affecting BIM acceptance between China and South Korea. For the comparative analysis of the BIM acceptance factors between China and South Korea, literature reviews on the technology acceptance model (TAM) and BIM acceptance model were carried out, and based on that, the BIM acceptance factors were classified. Other BIM acceptance factors were also added and considered, as they reflected Chinese national characteristics and construction industry. As for the derived BIM acceptance factors, construction project participants, especially actual BIM users in China and South Korea, were targeted for the survey. A t-test using SPSS 22.00 was carried out to identify significant differences in data. Finally, based on the t-test results, this study suggested ways of improving the BIM utilization rate in China. Based on the findings, this study is expected to contribute to activating BIM adoption in the Chinese construction industry and also to set a theoretical foundation for future studies on BIM utilization in the industry.

In a closed workplace, the management of the workplace is important because the environmental data at the workplace has a great influence on the safety of workers. Today's industrial sites are transformed into data-based factories that collect and analyze data through sensors in those sites, requiring a management system to ensure safety. In general, a safety management system stores and manages data on a central server associated with a database. Since such management system introduces high possibility of forgery and loss of data, workers often suspect the reliability of the information on the management system. In this paper, we present a worker safety management system based on the EOS blockchain which is considered as third-generation blockchain technology. The developed system consists of a set of smart contracts on the EOS blockchain and 3 decentralized applications associated with the blockchain. According to the roles of users, the worker and manager applications respectively perform the process of initiating or terminating tasks as blockchain transactions. The entire transaction history is distributed and stored in all nodes participating in the blockchain network, so forgery and loss of data is practically impossible. The system administrator application assigns the account rights of workers and managers appropriate for performing the functions, and specifies the safety standards of IoT data for ensuring workplace safety. The IoT data received from sensor platforms in workplaces and the information on initiation, termination or approval of tasks assigned to workers, are explicitly stored and managed in the EOS smart contracts.
The purpose of this study was to explore the factors predicting increased usage hours of smartphone among adolescents. Secondary data was analyzed to be collected from a nationally representative sample of 2017 Korean adolescents. This study sample included 54,601 students in middle or high schools of Korea. The collected data were analyzed SPSS version 23.0 program for frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient and binary logistic regression analysis. In the results, the mean usage hour of smartphone among the adolescents was 28.42 (SD 23.30) per week. Analyses of the differences in usage hours of smartphone according to research variables were found that the groups of lower level of study (F=1361.067, p<.001) and sociality content type (F=761.549, p<.001) spent more time, as compared to the other groups. The logistic analysis showed the predictive factors for increased hour of using smartphone were smartphone usage for sociality (OR: 2.44, 95% CI: 2.26-2.64) and peer group counselor (OR: 1.49, 95% CI: 1.49). Conclusionally, the findings of this study suggests that it needs to understand cause or purpose of smartphone using of adolescent and to cope and educate on the cause.
