An Implementation of Smart Laundry Management System Using Wrieless RFID Reader (무선 RFID 리더기를 이용한 스마트 세탁물 관리 시스템 개발)

  • This paper presents smart laundry management system using wireless Radio Frequnecy Identification (RFID) reader for efficient managing a large amount of laundry and clothing. The proposed system is comprised of wireless RFID hanger, base module connected on PC, and server system. The wireless RFID hanger with RFID reader read RFID tag attached on clothes and transmit tag information using wireless communication. The server system manage customers and his clothing using Database (DB) and display the information on the web page and smart phone devices. Since the proposed system operates with battery, we can evaluate its lifetime to measure current consumption. The designed system can be utilized to manage quantities of clothes and also it will be a good service to improve efficiency of laundry process.

  • Nowadays, Mobile devices are now capable of supporting a wide range of applications. Unfortunately, some of applications demand an ever increasing computational power and mobile devices have limited resources due to their constraints, such as low processing power, limited memory, unpredictable connectivity, and limited battery life. To deal with mobile devices' constraints, researchers envision extending cloud computing services to mobile devices using virtualization techniques to shift the workload from mobile devices to a powerful computational infrastructure. Those techniques consist of migrating resource-intensive computations from a mobile device to the resource-rich cloud, or server (called nearby infrastructure). In this paper, we want to highlight on cloudlet architecture (nearby infrastructure with mobile devices), its functioning and in our future work, analyze effects of distance between cloudlet and mobile devices.

  • The change of material J-R (J-T) curve with crack extension and J-calculation method was investigated to give experimental and analytical method for reliable J-R (J-T) curve, which was adapted recently as a tool for instability analysis of Nuclear Pressure Vessel. Experiments were carried out by Single Specimen Unloading Compliance Method using 1/2"T, Compact-Tension Type fracture mechanic specimens which were the same size and material as domestic nuclear pressure vessel material surveillance specimens. The results revealed that crack extension up to 25~30% of initial uncracked ligament and JD (Deformation theory J) calculation method, currently being used in NUREG-0744, could give rather reliable material J-R (J-T) curve than the small crack extension and JM (Modified J) calculation method. But as JM results more or less higher J at instability, the application of JM should be considered regarding to the problem of power plant availability.lity.

  • 기후변화 위기는 유사 이래 인류가 직면한 가장 큰 도전으로 범정부적 글로벌 문제로서 이를 해결하기 위한 다양한 정책들이 범국가 차원 혹은 세계적 기업들에 의해 발표 혹은 시행되고 있다. 이러한 기후변화위기와 탄소배출 저감을 위한 대표적인 대응 방안 중 하나가 바로 재생에너지의 확대·보급 노력이다. 그러나 재생에너지는 날씨와 계절 등 자연환경의 영향을 받는 에너지원으로써 간헐성, 변동성을 가지므로, 시간대별 발전량 예측과 전력공급 안정성에 어려움이 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 재생에너지 발전은 석탄화력 발전과 달리 전력의 수요와 공급의 균형을 위한 에너지저장장치(Energy Storage System, 이하 ESS)가 있어야 한다. ESS는 전력공급 안정성 향상과 전력 수급의 유연성을 제공하는 장점이 있지만, 초기 설치비용이 높은 단점이 있다. 특히, 배터리 기반 ESS의 경우 높은 구축 비용과 한정적인 충. 방전수명으로 인하여 대용량 ESS로써의 역할 수행에는 분명한 한계가 있다. 하지만 재생에너지와 연계한 ESS로 양수발전댐을 활용할 경우 장주기, 장수명, 대용량 에너지 저장에 매우 합리적인 수단으로 판단되었다. 다만, 양수발전 댐 구축에는 토목공사로 인한 환경 훼손이라는 문제점도 존재한다. 본 고에서는 지역 분산형 소규모 양수발전(Pumped Storage Hydropower, 이하 PSH)댐 구축 및 운영기술 개발을 통해 지역 전력공급과 전력 수급을 조절하면서 변동성 재생에너지를 안정적으로 사용할 수 있는 방안을 소개하고자 한다. 특히, 해당 기술은 지역별 특성에 맞춰 유연하게 설치할 수 있으며, 대규모 토목공사로 의한 환경적 부작용을 최소화할 수 있다. 또한 소규모 PSH는 지역의 저수지 및 수자원을 이용하여 에너지를 저장함으로써 변동성 큰 재생에너지의 유연화 대응과 동시에 안정적인 에너지 공급이 가능하다. 본 고에서는 재생에너지의 확대·보급에 따른 문제점과 대표적 ESS 기술들을 분석·소개한다. 지역분산형 소규모 PSH 기술개발 연구기획 내용 소개를 통하여 전력 생산 및 공급의 탈중앙화를 달성하고, 지역별 변동성 재생에너지의 안정적 활용과 지역 전력공급 특성 및 전력 수급에 대응할 수 있는 방안을 제안하고자 한다.

Development of Fatigue Model of Concrete Pavement Considering Environmental Loading (환경하중을 고려한 콘크리트 포장 피로모형의 개발)

  • Fatigue cracking occurs over long time period because dynamic strength of slab continuously decreases by vehicle loading repetitively applied to the concrete pavement. To more accurately predict the fatigue life of the concrete pavement, the stress due to environmental loading should be considered prior to calculating the stress due to the vehicle loading because the stress due to temperature and moisture distribution always exists within the slab. Accordingly, a new fatigue model considering the environmental loading was developed in this research by evaluating factors of existing fatigue models most widely used and by making data points from the models. The applicability of the new model was evaluated by performing a fatigue analysis on the general concrete pavement structure using local climatic and traffic conditions in Korea. It was concluded that the top-down cracking due to the tensile stress at top of the slab is dominant cause of the fatigue failure than the bottom-up cracking occurred at bottom of the slab. More advanced fatigue analysis considering vehicle speed is expected by developing this study.

  • As the number of hydrogen filling stations for hydrogen supply increases with the progress of low-carbon eco-friendly energy policies, the risk of accidents is also increasing. Actual pressure vessels may have defects such as notches, pores, and inclusions that may occur during the manufacturing process. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the integrity of pressure vessels in the case where cracks exist in pressure vessels under internal pressure. In this paper, 3D finite element analysis was used to evaluate the structural safety of hydrogen-filled pressure vessels with surface cracks, and the shape of surface cracks was compared with the commonly used semi-elliptical shape. In the future, these results will be used to predict the remaining life of the pressure vessel in consideration of fracture mechanics.

  • 무동력 복합작업기는 치즐쟁기와 디스크의 배열에 따라 작업성능이 좌우된다. 프레임과 디스크, 치즐쟁기에 가해지는 기본적인 힘의 상태를 확인하기 위한 정적 구조해석을 수행하였다. 복합작업기는 디스크는 $18^{\circ}$가 경사진 형태로 전면9개 후면9로 총 18개, 치즐쟁기(Chiselplow)는 4개로, 디스크는 모두 18개이다. 정적인 상태에서 끄는 견인력은 100마력, 150마력, 200마력으로 하였으며 Inventor의 해석 시스템은 힘을 N으로 사용하기 때문에 각 마력에 부가되는 하중을 N으로 치환하여 사용하였다. 구속조건은 frame과, disc, chisel plow에 맞닿는 면을 구속하고, 힘의 방향은 프레임과 트랙터의 연결면, 디스크 날과 땅의 접촉면에 적용했다. front /rear 디스크는 이론상으로는 양 디스크가 쌍으로 마주하고 있어서 스캔데이타를 중심으로 모델링한 결과를 바탕으로, 전후면 디스크해로우의 해석을 수행하였다. 조립 또는 사용상의 문제점이나 자연적인 유격에 의해 어느 정도 대칭이 되지 않을수 있으나 그 정도에 따라 진동과 내구성에 문제가 될 수도 있기에 한쌍에 대해 모델링을 통한 해석을 수행하였다. 해석결과에 따르면 디스크에 작용하는 폰미세스 응력은 극한강도에 미치지 않은 것으로 나타났으며 Frame의 최대 폰 미세스 응력을 제외하면, 대부분의 응력은 항복강도에 현저히 미치지 못하는 수치이고, 프레임의 경우는 150마력, 200마력으로 힘을 가할 때 항복강도는 넘는 수치이지만 극한인장강도에는 미치지 못하는 수치인 것을 알 수 있었다. 100마력에 폰 미세스 응력의 최대값은 0.161918 MPa이고 프레임 강의 항복강도인 207MPa와 디스크의 항복강도인 250MPa에 못 미치는 수치이다. 150마력과 200마력의 힘으로 회전할 때의 폰 미세스 응력의 최대값은 0.286425MPa과 0.381921 MPa로 항복강도인 250MPa에 크게 못 미치는 수치이다. 그 이유는 디스크해로우 방식의 복합작업기는 견인저항력이 작게 설계되고 작업속도를 개선하기 위한 목적으로 사용되기 때문으로 사료된다. 벤치마킹 기대의 Rear 디스크도 마찬가지로 각도는 $18^{\circ}$이며, 동일한 구속조건을 적용하여 시뮬레이션을 수행하였으며 해석결과는 모두 항복강도 이내로 예측 되었다. 디스크에 최대로 응력이 미치는 부분은 디스크와 프레임이 연결되는 허브 부분이다. 각도가 커짐에 따라 응력이 증가하므로 이를 감안한 설계인자 도출이 가능하다. 마력과 각도가 증가함에 따라 디스크 해로우에 작용하는 폰미세스 응력과, 접촉압력이 증가하므로 이에 대한 검토와 동적하중인 로드프로파일을 적용한 해석을 수행하여 내구수명 특성에 대한 연구를 수행할 계획이다.

Study on Fatigue Characteristics of High-Strength Steel Welds (고장력강 용접부에 대한 내구수명 예측 방법 연구)

  • High-strength steel has replaced mild steel as the material of choice for truck decks or frames, owing to the growing demand for lightweight vehicles. Although studies on the weld fatigue characteristics of mild steel are available, studies on high-strength steels have been seldom conducted. In this study, firstly, we surveyed a chosen number of approaches and selected the Radaj method, which uses the notch factor approach, as the one suitable for evaluating the fatigue life of commercial vehicles. Secondly, we obtained the S-N curves of HARDOX and ATOS60 steel welds, and the F-N curves of the T-weld and overlapped-weld structures. Thirdly, we acquired a general S-N curve of welded structures made of high-strength steel from the F-N curve, using the notch factor approach. Fourthly, we extracted the weld fatigue characteristics of high-strength steel and incorporated the results in the database of a commercial fatigue program. Finally, we compared the results of the fatigue test and the CAE prediction of the example case, which demonstrated sufficiently good agreement.

Exhaust Plume Behavior Study of MMH-NTO Bipropellant Thruster (MMH-NTO 이원추진제 추력기의 배기가스 거동 해석 연구)

  • A spacecraft obtains a reaction momentum required for an orbit correction and an attitude control by exhausting a combustion gas through a small thruster in space. If the exhaust plume collides with spacecraft surfaces, it is very important to predict the exhaust plume behavior of the thruster when designing a satellite, because a generated disturbance force/torque, a heat load and a surface contamination can yield a life shortening and a reduction of the spacecraft function. The purpose of the present study is to ensure the core technology required for the spacecraft design by analyzing numerically the exhaust gas behavior of the 10 N class bipropellant thruster for an attitude control of the spacecraft. To do this, calculation results of chemical equilibrium reaction between a MMH for fuel and a NTO for oxidizer, and continuum region of the nozzle inside are implemented as inlet conditions of the DSMC method for the exhaust plume analysis. From these results, it is possible to predict a nonequilibrium expansion such as a species separation and a backflow in the vicinity of the bipropellant thruster nozzle.

  • In the nuclear industry, wall thinning defect of straight pipe occur the enormous loss in life evaluation and safety evaluation. To use non-destructive technique, we measure deformation, vibration, defect evaluation. But, this techniques are a weak that is the measurement of the wide area is difficult and the time is caught long. In the secondary side of nuclear power plants mostly used steel pipe, artificiality wall thinning defect make in the side and different thickness make to the each other, wall thinning defect part of deformation measure by using shearography. In addition, optical measurement through deformation, vibration, defect evaluation evaluate pipe and thickness defects of pressure vessel is to evaluate quantitatively. By shearography interferometry to measure the pipe's internal wall thinning defect and the variation of pressure use the proposed technique, the quantitative defect is to evaluate the thickness of the surplus. The amount of deformation use thickness of surplus prediction of the actual thickness defect and approximately 7 percent error by ensure reliability. According to pressure the amount of deformation and the thickness of the surplus through DB construction, nuclear power plant pipe use wall thinning part soundness evaluation. In this study, pressure vessel of thickness defect measure proposed nuclear pipe of wall thinning defect prediction and integrity assessment technology development. As a basic research defected theory and experiment, pressure vessel of advanced stability and soundness and maintainability is expected to contribute foundation establishment.
