Purpose: We studied the relationship between subjective and objective deviating angle. Methods: Those who were diagnosed with strabismus among the patients who had no systemic diseases that fifty-one subjects (Male; 21, Female; 30) were measured between seven to sixty three years, evaluated to alternate cover test after AR/K (Canon RK-FI, Japan) and retinoscope measured refractive errors. Objective deviating angle was measured using prism bar; and subjective and objective deviating angles were measured and compared using the synoptophore. Results: For the correlation between subjective and objective deviating angles. The differences were $2.6{\pm}2.5{\Delta}$, between subjective deviating angle measured using synoptophore and objective deviating angles measured using synoptophore were $0.7{\pm}1.4{\Delta}$, the average with each other were $1.7{\pm}1.8{\Delta}$, with all the differences highly significant. Conclusions: We thought not only reduced angle of deviating errors and identified the significance in the correlation between subjective and objective deviating angles but also considered to be useful in determining deviating angle of patient with strabismus.
This paper is a study on the Jeonwonsasiga of Shin Gye Young. Jeonwonsasiga is as a out of Sasiga-Line(사시가계) Yeonsijo(연시조), the singing Spring. Summer. Autumn, Winter and Jesuk. The meanwhile, a study on the Jeonwonsasiga is in the relations with other literary works, or a history of Siga in 17th century. A out of specific character's of Jeonwonsasiga is the singing Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter and Jesuk about order. Jesuk with a New year's Eve, is the stand for a watch night.'Chun Ha Chu Dong(Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, 춘하추동)' are included in the Sasi of One Year(일년 사시), And the Jesuk is included in the Sasi of one day(하루 사시). Buy the way, Jeonwonsasiga make an equal about all of two. And then, this paper is focused on the 'Jesuk'. The role of Jesuk is coexistence together with the Sasi of One Year and the Sasi of one day. That is to say, Jeonwonsasiga's singing from the 1st works to the 8st works are the Sasi of One Year in the surface. But, singing the Sasi of One Day of 'Dan Ju Mo Ya(단주모야)' in the inside story. And Jesuk is a finished role the mean's of literary works. And this provide an opportunity which can be speaker's recognition of Jeonwon (전원). The Jeonwonsasiga of ten works are have a value of Yeonsijo in continyal structure. And so. it is to be watched sense of proportion of Yeonsijo in the 17th century.
Purpose: This was a study of the effects of the vision training on binocular function and sensory anomaly for intermittent exotropia and recurrent intermittent exotropia patients. Mehtods: The change was examined weekly at the clinic during the 8 week vision training. The sample group of 17 patients, intermittent exotropia and recurrent intermittent exotropia patients without amblyopia, were chosen from the patients with the short and the long-distance deviation angle p=0.558 and p=0.338, and also greater than 10${\Delta}$, respectively. Results: The longdistance deviation angle was reduced by 67.9(${\pm}$32.7)%, and the short-distance deviation angle by 75.4(${\pm}$32.9)% after the vision training. There is an improvement on the binocular function and sensory anomaly according to the fusion reverse and Worth 4 dot tests. Conclusions: This study shows that the vision training is effective for phoria, function and sensory anomalyon of the intermittent extropia and recurrent intermittent exotropia patients.

This study was conducted to test a hypothesis that sensitivity of trees to ozone exposure was related to their growth rates. Two cultivars of Populus alba ${\times}$ P. glandulosa with different genetic growth potential were used for the comparison. Two clones(72-30, 72-16) of cultivar No. 4 with fast growing potential and three clones(71-28, 72-27, 72-19) of cultivar No. 2 with slow growing potential were propagated in early spring by cutting in $2-{\ell}$ plastic pots. They were grown outdoor for 5 months and exposed in late August for 30 days to 70 and 130ppb ozone in a open-top chambers(2.5m in diameter and 2m in height). Ozone concentration in a control chamber was maintained below 30ppb by filtering with activated charcoal. Each treatment was replicated twenty times. In a control chamber, cultivar No. 4 grew 73%, 64%, and 38% faster than cultivar No. 2 in leaf weight, root weight, and total dry weight, respectively. Visible injury was observed only in cultivar No. 4 in 130ppb treatment. Ozone treatment at both 70 and 130ppb decreased height growth, dry weight of leaf, root, and entire plants in all five clones. Particularly root growth was reduced by 39.7% and 13.8% in cultivar No. 4 and No. 2, respectively, in 70ppb treatment. Consequently, shoot/root ratio of cultivar No.4 was increased by 63.4%, while that of cultivar No.2 was increased by 22.1%. Stomatal conductance decreased more in cultivar No.4 than in cultivar No.2. Net photosynthesis of cultivar No.4 at 130ppb ozone decreased by 69.5%, while that of cultivar No.2 decreased by 31.5%. Above mentioned physiological responses of two cultivars to ozone strongly suggested that fast growing cultivar No.4 was more sensitive to ozone than slow growing cultivar No.2. It was concluded that sensitivity of trees to ozone exposure was closely related to their growth rates.
Purpose: The purpose of this case study is to study effect of the vision therapy on a recurrent intermittent exotropia patient before and after surgical correction. Methods: The vision therapy observation included both before and after the surgical correction of intermittent exotropia patients who had binocular vision disorder without opthalmic diseases. Results: According to the results, vision therapy method showed improvement, both case before and after the surgical correction of intermittent exotropia patients. Conclusions: Therefore we suggest that vision therapy is an effective and alternative method for intermittent exotropia patients.
Genetic relationships of some poplars in the section Leuce, including 5 species and 11 clones of Populus alba${\times}$glandulosa, were investigated on the basis of RAPD marker analysis. Twenty-two of the 88 arbitrary 10-mer primers, showed reproducible amplification in the preliminary experiment with 6 samples, were used for PCR and generated a total of 181 RAPD markers. Genetic relationships among the analyzed samples were tested by two phenetic methods of the UPGMA and the neighbor-joining, which revealed the close genetic relationship between P. glandulosa and P. alba. And the close genetic relationship between P. glandulosa and P. davidiana was ascertained by the principal component analysis. Based on the observation of the close genetic relationship between them, it was deduced that P. glandulosa might be originated by the saltational speciation caused by the hybridization between P. alba and P. davidiana in nature.
This paper evaluated visual function and stereoacuity function after surgery for intermittent exotropia. Subjects of this study were 18 patients (male: n = 10, female: n = 8) mean aged 12.06±5.43 years diagnosed with intermittent exotropia who underwent strabismus surgery. Of these subjects, 72.2% of the subjects underwent strabismus surgery once and 27.8% had it twice. Visual function and stereoacuity function were tested for these subjects. For data analysis, frequency analysis, cross analysis, and correlation analysis were used, and statistical significance was set at p<.05. Regarding the deviation state after strabismus surgery, exodeviation accounted for the most(72.2%), followed by diplopia(50.0%) and suppression(33.3%) for distance sensory fusion. Regarding near sensory fusion, fusion(50.0%) accounted for the most, followed by diplopia(44.4%). After strabismus surgery, subjects with distance stereoacuity blindness were the most at 61.1% and there were no subjects with a normal range of 40-60 arcsec. Near stereoacuity blindness subjects accounted for 33.3% and subjects with 40-60 arcsec accounted for 1.1%. Even after surgery for intermittent exotropia, there were some areas that did not improve in deviation state, stereoacuity, or sensory fusion. Therefore, it is necessary to manage and control strabismus through non-surgical methods before and after surgery for intermittent exotropia.
Purpose: This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of prescription of overcorrection (-) lens, which is the one of the non-surgical treatments, on stereo-acuity and angle of deviation in intermittent exotropia. Methods: Twenty four children with intermittent exotropia were enrolled from October 2011 to December 2011. The angle of deviation(${\Delta}$), stereo-acuity (arcsec), monocular and binocular visual acuity (BVA, LogMAR), control of exodeviation and fusional ability using Worth 4 dot test were evaluated at near (33 cm) and far (6 m), under the overcorrecting (-)lens of -1.00, -.00, and -.00 D. Results: As a baseline finding, the angle of exodeviation was $20.9{\pm}9.7$ at near and $23.0{\pm}7.5$ at far. The angle of exodeviation at near decreased to $18.5{\pm}10.0$ (p<0.01), $15.8{\pm}9.0$ (p<0.01), $14.0{\pm}9.1$ (p<0.01) compared with baseline angle of exodeviation at near, as increasing diopters of (-) lens from -.00 D, -2.00 D and -.00 D, respectively. The angle of exodeviation at far also decreased to $21.4{\pm}5.2$ (p=0.01), $19.6{\pm}6.3$ (p<0.01) compared with baseline, as increasing minus lens from -2.00 D and -3.00 D, respectively. However, BVA, control of exodeviation, fusional ability and stereo-acuity showed no significant decrease despite of increasing diopters of (-)lens. Conclusions: The prescription of overcorrection (-)lens is an effective therapeutic method in intermittent exotropia which can reduce the near and far angle of exodeviation, and binocular visual acuity and stereo-acuity maintained without significant decrease despite of application of overcorrection (-)lens.

Various methods for measuring strabismus have been developed and used in clinical diagnosis. However, most of them are based on the visual inspection by clinicians. For this reason, there is a high possibility of subjective evaluation in clinical decisions and they are only useful for cooperative patients. Therefore, the development of a more objective and reproducible method for measuring strabismus is needed. In this paper, we introduce a new software to complement the limitations of previous diagnostic methods. Firstly, we simply obtained facial images of patients and performed several preprocessing steps based on the spherical RGB color model with them. Then, the measurement of strabismus was performed automatically by using our 3D eye model and mathematical algorithm. To evaluate the validity of our software, we performed statistical correlation analysis of the results of the proposed method and the Krimsky test by two clinicians for ten patients. The coefficients of correlation for two clinicians were very high, 0.955 and 0.969, respectively. The coefficient of correlation between two clinicians also showed 0.968. We found a statistically significant correlation between two methods from our results. The newly developed software showed a possibility that it can be used as an alternative or effective assistant tool of previous diagnostic methods for strabismus.
