This study explores the case manager's experiences in terms of how they were challenged by the difficulties of the case management process, overcame them, and obtained the positive outcomes. Qualitative methodologies were used, employing a focus group interview with 10 case managers. The findings suggest that case managers were aware of the importance of strength among clients and communities. Case managers commented that they tried to actualized the principles of Strength Case Management, thereby facing the changes and growths among clients and communities. Several suggestions were made for the effective settlement of Strength Case Management.

The main focus of the study is to find out the origin of the case management in social work and relevant background and context around it, by using the method of genealogy, an historical framework or perspective developed by Foucault, French social philosopher. The reasons of the study are two fold : First, why the case management can be established as a major strategy of social work field in such a very short time. Second, since the case management has been accepted, why it has been reported ceaselessly that a lot of case managers have experienced the severe stress and sufferings in carrying out the case management practice. The results of the study shows that the case management is partly a very social device needed in the late 20th century to manage the social work resources and manpower efficiently, which might be against the genuine social work's mission and idealism. In a conclusion, to retrieve the genuine identities of social work profession, not only the practice case management should be cautious to tendency of management and control inherited in it but also be balanced by the traditional ideals of human emancipation and liberation.

This study was carried out to analyze the job of care managers in their social welfare practicing fields about the frequency of care management duties they perform, types of duties considered to be most important and the reason, and types of jobs counted to be the most difficult and the reason by qualitative case study research methods. The job area of care management was elicited using DACUM method, and those 9 job areas derived from it were analysed according to frequency of performance, importance and difficulty. The subjects were 10 social workers serving more than 3 years with major duty of care management and chosen by reputational-case selection, and those collected data analysis was operated according to embedded analysis types. We discussed the implication of this research. : The experience of participants are the process of maintaining the tension, and search the equilibrium point between client centered service and institutional pressure. The purpose of this study is to examine the experience of case management practice for residents of low - income housing. The importance of the house for the vulnerable residents with homelessness is absolute, and case management that supports them to live as residents in the community is also very important. Nevertheless, the research so far has focused on the supply of affordable housing, the residential environment, the quality of life of the tenants, and the health, but there was a lack of interest in case management practices. In this study, we investigated the experience of case management practice by listening 10 case managers's experiences through FGI interview. As a result of the study, the case manager's experience is divided into four themes: 'Dilemma of support for the independent housing life after the facilities', 'Role competition between rent management and case management', 'Lonely practice for linkage and cooperation with the mainstream community support system', 'Double employment relationship and poor working environment' respectively. Based on their experiences, this study suggests practical and practical suggestions for case management of rental housing.

This study aims to develop the case management activities inventory relevant to community-based mental health settings. The comprehensive literature review was conducted to define the concepts and activities for the case management process. After the content analysis from the professional scholar and the mental health-related worker, 83 items were constructed. A survey was conducted to 265 case managers in community mental health centers. Through exploratory factor analysis, reliability and validity analysis, finally 8 factors and 43 items were identified.

본 연구는 고용서비스의 효과적 전달을 위한 실천방법을 제안하기 위한 것이다. 고용서비스는 고용능력 증진을 위한 것으로 고용능력 증진을 위해서는 개인요인, 개인환경요인, 외부환경요인에 대한 개입이 필요하다. 이중에서 건강, 양육 등 개인문제나 개인환경 증진을 위한 고용서비스가 강화될 필요가 있다. 또한 사례관리는 통합적고용서비스 전달을 위해 필요한 실천도구가 될 수 있고, 이를 위해서 고용지원센터는 사례관리에 대한 조직내 합의와 체계 마련이 선행되어야 할 것이다.

This article focuses on the use of case management in the Self-support program. Case management is a service modality which provides integrated services for people with multiple needs in the community. The goal to accomplish self-sufficiency of working participants in Self-Support Programs is positively affected by the efforts to reduce high social risks they are exposed. It is recommended that the agencies running Self-support programs apply case management to increase the quality of lives as well as the effectiveness of exiting statuses of conditional welfare recipients. Several service considerations of case management are recommended for the change in the structure and functioning of the Self-Support Program: Integrated view and contextualized thinking, empowerment-oriented approach, and a development of the community support system through networking. Types of case management and practice roles of the case manager applicable to the Self-Support Program are also recommended. Structural aspects of an organization, inter-organizational linkages and contextual factors need to be considered to improve problematic conditions that have not enough resources and appropriate authorities in providing case management functions.

본 연구는 대학생의 독서활성화를 위한 방안으로 독서에 대한 대학생의 자발적 참여와 흥미를 유도할 수 있는 실천공동체의 한 유형인 독서토론클럽을 제안한다. 그러기 위해서 혁신적인 실천공동체 프로그램을 운영하고 있는 네덜란드 공공도서관의 실천공동체의 성공사례를 살펴보고, 국내 대학도서관에 실천공동체 성공사례를 적용하는 방안을 살펴보았다. 그 결과 대학도서관에서 실천공동체가 성공적으로 적용되기 위해서는 연결자(connector), 가이드(guide), 선생님(teacher), 대화상대(conversation partner)로서의 사서의 역할이 필요하다는 것을 알 수 있었다.

The purpose of this study is to develop case management activities inventory and analyze the perception on case management practice using importance-performance analysis(IPA) in community welfare centers. The comprehensive literature review and the content analysis from the professional scholar and social workers produced 89 items of case management activities items. A survey was conducted to 277 case managers in community welfare centers. The exploratory factor analysis, reliability and validity analysis developed the case management activities inventory comprised of 11 factors and 61 items. Suggestions were made to improve case management practice in community welfare centers.
