Development of an Impact Speed Estimation Model using Bicycle Throw Distances (자전거 전도거리를 이용한 충돌속도 예측 모형 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The impact speed estimation practice used in the car-bicycle accident analysis practice in Korea was mainly dependent on foreign study results which were tested with limited speed ranges and vehicle types, but the characteristics of roadway, human body, and vehicle performance were quite different. This study developed an impact speed estimation model using the car-bicycle accident field data. For this, a regression analysis was performed using the impact speed and bicycle throw distance collected from 23 real accident data, and statistical test was also conducted. For the verification of the induced model, the impact speeds derived from the model were compared with the true impact speeds estimated from skid marks of two accident cases. The result showed that the two speeds were very close to each other. It is believed that the model could be included in the car-bicycle accident analysis practice.

  • The accident data attributes of the traffic accident report are used not only in traditional traffic safety-related research to identify the cause of traffic accidents, but also as basis data for the development of the automated vehicle driving performance verification scenarios. However, since the data attributes of the traffic accident report are limited for the purpose of reconstructing the traffic situation and developing scenarios, this study aims to provide the directions for improvement of traffic accident report, ultimately for its expanded usability for the automated vehicle test scenarios. The directions for improvement of the traffic accident report are provided by categorizing the traffic situation before the accident (pre-crash), the situation immediately before or during the accident (on-crash), and the situation after the accident (post-crash), respectively. Additional data items or data processing methods are presented. Furthermore, data elements that can be extracted from the traffic accident process data in the unstructured narrative form are explored and provided.

  • 사건 현장을 재현하는 것은 수사에서 매우 중요한 일이다. CCTV가 현장 파악에 유용하기는 하지만 세부적인 상황파악에는 한계가 있다. 현대는 디지털 시대인 만큼 사건 현장에서는 많은 디지털 흔적이 남게 된다. 스마트폰의 디지털 흔적도 사고경위 파악에 유용하다. 본 논문에서는 특히 안드로이드 스마트폰의 블루투스 디지털 기록을 이용하여 보다 정교하게 현장을 재현하는 방법에 대하여 연구하였다.

A Method for Pedestrian Accident Reconstruction Using Optimization (최적화방법을 이용한 보행자 충돌사고 재현기법 개발)

  • As the number of pedestrian accident increases, the reconstruction of an accident becomes important to find the source of the fault. Generally, accidents are reconstructed by the intuition of experts or primitive physics. A reconstruction method is proposed using sophisticated optimization technology. At first, a dynamic simulation model is established for the accident environment. Occupant analysis for automobile crashworthiness is employed. The situation before an accident is identified by optimization. The impact velocity and the position of the pedestrian are utilized as design variables. The design variables are found by minimizing the difference between the simulation and the real accident. The optimization process is performed by linking an occupant analysis program MADYMO to an optimization program VisualDOC. Since the involved analysis is dynamics and highly nonlinear, response surface method is selected for the optimization process. Problems are solved for various situations.

Effectiveness of Positive Guidance for Speed Reduction at Signalized Intersection by Using Driving Simulator (도로주행시뮬레이터를 활용한 신호교차로 속도저감에 대한 Positive Guidance 효과 연구)

  • It can prevent traffic accidents in a way as taking precautionary measures for road safety at signalized intersection in advance. Particularly, traffic accidents can be reduced at relatively low cost without redesigning alignments. That is 'Positive Guidance method' which can help prevent traffic accidents through improvement of road facilities at signalized intersection. In this study, potentially higher hazardous signalized intersection due to speeding was selected through site investigation. Field analysis at designated section was conducted and devised a plan for improvements of road facilities. Subjects drove in driving simulator in 3-D virtual reality of designated intersection. Based on data from simulator, statistical analysis(t-verification) was conducted for 'Before and After effectiveness' of speed reduction. As a result, it indicates that speed reduction was effective after improvements at each spot in driving simulator. In the future, hazardous signalized intersections which can be applied for PG method will be effective for road safety based on this research.

  • 환경부는 화학물질로 인한 국민건강 및 환경상의 위해(危害)를 예방하고 화학물질을 적절하게 관리하고, 화학물질로 인하여 발생하는 사고에 신속히 대응함으로써 화학물질로부터 모든 국민의 생명과 재산 및 환경을 보호하기위한 법률인 "화학물질관리법"을 2015년 1월 1일부터 시행하였다. 화학물질관리법에서는 유해화학물질의 취급기준과 유해화학물질 취급시설의 설치 및 관리 기준을 준수토록 하고 있으며, 유해화학물질 취급시설을 설치 및 운영 시에는 사전에 화학사고 발생으로 사업장 주변 지역의 사람이나 환경 등에 미치는 영향을 평가하여 유해화학물질 취급시설의 설치단계에서 안전성을 확보하기 위한 유해화학물질 화학사고 장외영향평가서를 작성 및 제출하도록 하고 있다. 또한 사고대비물질을 규정 수량이상 취급하는 경우 위해관리계획서를 작성하여 지역사회에 고지하도록 하고 있다. 법 시행 이전에 유해화학물질 취급시설을 설치한 사업장은 사업장 규모에 따라 장외영향평가서의 제출 유예기간인 2019년 12월 31일까지 제출하여야 하며, 사고 대비물질의 영업허가를 득해야하는 사업장은 2017년 내 장외영향평가서를 제출하여야 한다. 장외영향평가(off-site risk assessment(ORA)) 제도는 유해화학물질 취급시설의 기본평가정보(공정 정보), 장외평가정보(사고 시나리오 선정 및 위험도 분석), 타 법령과의 관계정보로 구성되어 있다. 장외영향평가의 효율적인 작성을 위하여 현장과 일치된 공정정보(공정개요 및 공정도면 등의 자료)의 확보가 필수적이다. 본 발표에서는 복잡한 장외영향평가 제도로부터 기업의 대응을 위한 장외영향평가 운영 절차와 장외영향평가서의 효율적인 작성을 위한 사전 준비 자료 및 작성 방안을 제시하여, 사업장에서 장외영향평가 제도를 이행하는데 도움을 주고자 한다.

Intrusion Artifact Acquisition Method based on IoT Botnet Malware (IoT 봇넷 악성코드 기반 침해사고 흔적 수집 방법)

  • With the rapid increase in the use of IoT and mobile devices, cyber criminals targeting IoT devices are also on the rise. Among IoT devices, when using a wireless access point (AP), problems such as packets being exposed to the outside due to their own security vulnerabilities or easily infected with malicious codes such as bots, causing DDoS attack traffic, are being discovered. Therefore, in this study, in order to actively respond to cyber attacks targeting IoT devices that are rapidly increasing in recent years, we proposed a method to collect traces of intrusion incidents artifacts from IoT devices, and to improve the validity of intrusion analysis data. Specifically, we presented a method to acquire and analyze digital forensics artifacts in the compromised system after identifying the causes of vulnerabilities by reproducing the behavior of the sample IoT malware. Accordingly, it is expected that it will be possible to establish a system that can efficiently detect intrusion incidents on targeting large-scale IoT devices.

  • This study deals with the development and improvement of a particle dispersion model for quick response to water pollutant accidents. The developed model is based on the shear dispersion theory where vertical mixing is done by step by step mixing by vertical and molecular diffusion algorithm. For the quick response to chemical accidents, an algorithm for multi-core modeling for the particle dispersion model is applied. After the application of multi-core operation using OpenMP directives to the model, the relation for the calculation time and particle size were determined along with the number of cores used for parallel programming to determine the model time for chemical accident responses. The results showed the adequate conditions for the modeling of chemical accidents for quick response and to increase the applicability of the model.

  • 현재 우리나라에서는 일반 자동차 부품처럼 보급되고 있는 자동차 블랙박스는 하드웨어 기반의 장비로, 추후 애로사항 수정 및 추가기능 업데이트가 불가능하다. 또한 여러 가지 물리적 문제로 인하여 많은 운전자들이 불편을 겪고 있다. 현재 출시된 블랙박스는 GPS와 영상정보만 수집하여 추후 저장된 사고기록을 바탕으로 사고원인의 규명 할 때 신뢰성이 낮은 결과가 나올 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 앞에서 서술한 기존 자동차 블랙박스의 문제점을 해결하고자 기존의 블랙박스에서 취급하는 정보 이외에 OBD프로토콜을 통해 수집되는 자동차 내부정보를 다루는 안드로이드 OS용 자동차 블랙박스 어플리케이션을 개발하고자 한다.

  • In recent years, the technology for autonomous driving has been advancing rapidly, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) functions, which improve driver convenience and safety performance, are mostly equipped in recently released vehicles and range from level 0 to level 2 in autonomous driving technology. Among the various functions of ADAS, AEBS (Autonomous Emergency Braking System), which analyzes traffic accidents, is the most closely related to the vehicle's braking. This study developed a simulation technique for reproducing accidents related to AEBS based on real vehicle experimental data, and it was applied to the analysis of actual ADAS vehicle accidents to identify the causes of accidents.
