In 2017, there was an accident in which a cadet onboard training was killed. This cadet worked 12 hours a day. No regulation has yet been laid down to define hours and breaks for interns. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the working status of commissioned training, the satisfaction survey of commissioned training, and to improve the treatment of commissioned trainees. The survey was conducted on students commissioned from merchant vessels, and 461 respondents answered the questionnaire. The results of the survey are as follows. First, 43.0 % of cadets said that they worked 10 hours a day on average, regardless of the vessel type, and 35.2 % said that the average rest time was 8 hours. 15.6 % of respondents said they had worked more than 12 hours. Unreasonable order cases deviating from the purpose of education were "making ramen, working at rest time, instruction of dangerous work, making night snack and private errands." Second, the satisfaction level of cadets who practiced on LNG carriers was high, while the satisfaction level of cadets on bulk carriers and container carriers was low. It was confirmed that the ship's size, ship's age, working hours, rest time and training support costs had little minor effect on educational satisfaction. Lastly, 56.8 % of the cadets answered 'commissioned training is like work.' Based on the results of the questionnaires, we proposed the following improvement methods; providing legislation for working hours and rest time for commissioned training cadets, protection system against violence and sexual harassment and victim protection. This study focuses on the working and rest time of merchant ship's cadet and it is meaningful to investigated the onboard training satisfaction by ship's type, size and age.

Marine accidents caused by dragging anchors occur constantly due to enlargement of ships' size and unusual weather conditions. Nevertheless, vessel operators rely on their experience because the calculations of actual holding power and external forces are complex and inconvenient. The purpose of this study was to propose a program for the anchor dragging risk assessment in order to provide crew and VTSO with the information to determine easily the danger of dragging and take appropriate action. The input data in this program were composed of the ship's basic particulars, anchoring condition, and external environment etc. on calculating for the wind pressure, frictional force, drift force, and holding power. Three dragging anchor accidents were applied to the program's data input at the time of the day, then the result was assessed by 'warning', which was verified with a high confidence. As a result, the risk of dragging anchors can be predicted in advance through this program. In further studies, it is necessary to simplify the input data and improve user convenience through automatic input from various equipment.
Hoarseness is the change of voice quality which represents the abnormal function of phonation and is the main symtom of the laryngeal diseases. The etiology of hoarseness are known more than 50 causes, among them, viral upper respiratory infection is the main cause of hoarseness and the laryngeal nodule and polyp, laryngeal paralysis, laryngeal cancer, laryngeal papilloma and the laryngeal tuberculosis are the other causes of hoarseness in that order. Recently, the authors experienced 4 cases of uncommon etiology of hoarseness, so we present the cases with the brief review of literatures. Case 1. 29 years old male Admitted in Dept. of neurosurgery due to Traffic Accident. He had a trauma on the anterior neck. Hoarseness was developed on 1 month after the accident. Laryngoscopic finding; Paramedian paralysis of left vocal cord. Displacement of left arytenoid cartilage. Case 2. 53 years old male Admitted in Dept. of General Surgery due to Clonorchis Sinensis, under the general endotracheal anesthesia, Choledochostomy was performed. Laryngoscopic finding; Median paralysis of left vocal cord. Case 3. 56 years old male Admitted in Dept. of Internal Medicine due to Aortic Aneurysm. Hoarseness was developed on 3 months prior to admission. Laryngoscopic finding; Intermediated position paralysis of left vocal cord. Displacement of left arytenoid cartilage. Case 4. 74 years old male Admitted in Dept. of Internal Medicine due to Bronchogenic carcinoma. Hoarseness was developed on 3 years prior to admission. Laryngoscopic finding; Paramedian paralysis of right vocal cord.
TPR(Total Physical Response) is a new representative learning method for children's education. Today's approach to TPR has focused on signals from a user which becomes input data in a human-computer interaction, but the accuracy of sensing from body signals(e. g. motion and voice) isn't so perfect that it seems difficult to apply on an education system. To overcome these limits, we suggest a mediating interface device which can detect the user's motion using correct numerical values such as acceleration and angular speed. In addition, we suggest new design requirements for the mediating device through analyzing children's behavior as human factors by ethnography research and protocol analysis. As a result, we found that; children are unskilled in physical control when they use objects; tend to lean on an object unconsciously with touch. Also their behaviors are restricted, when they use objects. Therefore a mediating device should satisfy new design requirements which are make up for unskilled handling, support familiar and natural physical activity.

The frequency and abundance of jellyfish, presumably related with climate change, fisheries overexploitation, marine pollution including land reclamation and dyke construction, are increasing worldwide. This feature has attracted interest and concerns from general public and public officials, and government is seeking how the damages could be prevented or reduced down. Korean government, having recent huge blooms of jellyfish, engaged in reducing and/or countermeasuring jellyfish damages. Korean research themes include ecology and physiology of blooming jellyfish species, understanding of the blooming mechanism, and focus on the eradication of blooming jellyfish, without governmental integrative management plan. EU is undertaking scientific projects focused on understanding of the mechanism and control of jellyfish blooms, and establishment of an integrative management. In USA, government has established the code on jellyfish management for conserving and protecting the fish and shellfish resources and one of its department is specially assigned to monitor jellyfish appearance, undertake research, and prepare management plan. Japan also assigned a department and research institute for jellyfish research. Their main interest is to predict jellyfish drifting and mass bloom. Compared to Korea, USA, EU and Japan emphasize integrative management that includes ecological understanding, public education and outreaches, communication and control, if possible, of jellyfish blooms, based on scientific data. We suggest then, 1) establishment of an integrative scientific system consisting of policy and scientific experts to prepare inter-ministrial integrative management plan to effectively combat jellyfish blooms and to maximize the scientific result; 2) concept change from harmful to exploitable marine animal in policy making and research; and 3) active education and information service for people. We expect that these suggestions can be useful for jellyfish management and policy making on another harmful marine organisms.
Inquiry has been emphasized in science classrooms, but the problems shown in the inquiry are somewhat different with ones that students usually meet and experience in everyday life. The purpose of this study is to investigate how attitudes toward the task and thinking skills affect students' problem solving process, especially, the way of creating a problem space and elaborating problem solving strategies when they have little schema. The difference in students' problem solving strategies of Lego Robotics class, one of the summer programs for $4^{th}-6^{th}$ grade gifted students, which is new to them, was investigated. The results are as follows: (1) The difference in attitudes toward the task, or selection and identification of the missions, and the perception of operators, affected creating a different problem space. (2) Different level of thinking skills, or analytical and flexible thinking, efficient elaborative skill, and application of schema affected a different level of elaboration of the problem space and resulted in asuccess rate of problem solving. (3) Different initial problem space resulted in different problem solving strategies. But without thinking skills, students could not elaborate problem solving strategies efficiently. Several instructional recommendations to promote scientific inquiry were suggested based on the results.

The objectives of this study are to introduce a critical perspective of the multicultural education in home economics education, to develop teaching-learning materials and to apply them in classes for the purpose of enhancing students' multicultural competence for a validity test. For these purposes, family life culture sections from six high school technology and home economics textbooks were analyzed based on the contents and elements of multicultural competence. After recomposing the family life culture sections, this study developed 12-session teaching-learning materials with an emphasis on media literacy. Among them, 4-session plans were taught in classrooms for 247 students in the 10th grades. To test the validity of the plans, a questionnaires was given to the students as a pre- and post-test. The data were analyzed with paired t-tests. The results showed significant pre and post differences in all sections of multicultural competence except the section of 'general cultural understanding'. This implied that the developed teaching-learning materials were effective in helping students overcome ethnocentrism and enhance the understanding of cultural differences.
The purpose of this study is to investigate what influence the external variables of the RFID system for eco-friendly agricultural products such as reliability, safety, effectiveness and innovation have on ease and usefulness, perceived value and behavioral intention. An empirical analysis were conducted to the general consumers over the age of 20 years who live in Seoul and Gyeonggi areas having experience of buying eco-friendly agricultural products in department stores, supermarkets and eco-friendly agricultural product specialty stores from November 10 to November 23, 2012, A total of 350 copies of questionnaire were distributed for this research and, excluding partial ones that were too concentrated on one side or found missing values, a total of 305 copies(87.1%) were used as the final statistical analysis data. The result shows that such external variables of the RFID system for eco-friendly agricultural products as liability, safety, effectiveness and innovation are useful enough as a theoretical basis for later study on RFID systems for eco-friendly agricultural products. Also, it reveals that, since all the process from production to sale of agricultural products can be seen, the products are provided safely for consumers, are objectively and rapidly investigated when problems occur, induce a positive attitude with their historical information, and are supplied through systematic management such as consumers' rights to know and choose and recall of unfit products.

Objective: This study examines the effects of children's art activities through forest experience in relation with Nuri curriculum on environmental sensitivity. Method: A survey was administered to an experimental group of 20 children as well as a control group of 20 children for statistical analysis. after 16-class art activities through forest experience were performed to children aged 4 at a daycare center for 50 days. Result: Children's art activities through forest experience in relation with Nuri curriculum had a positive effect on their environmental sensitivity. In particular, their art activities had a positive effect on their self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy and motivation in the experimental group, supporting the educational effects and benefits of developmental children's art activities through forest experience in relation with Nuri curriculum. In other words, art activities through forest experience are useful in terms of providing children with creative expression activities in art by leading to observation and exploration, as well as educational experiences that have positive attitudes toward the environment. Conclusion: As children's art activities through forest experience have a positive effect on their environmental sensitivity, more useful information on teaching-learning methods will be able to be provided to early childhood teachers in the field. Consequently, children's art activities through forest experience need to be actively introduced in the field of early childhood education as an alternative for learning nature and improving environment-friendly emotional intelligence.
Recently, through the services that use drones at fire sites to deliver on-site and road conditions into the situation room and life-saving activities or the deliveries of first aid outfits at the accident scenes that are inaccessible to humans, there are more and more cases of dealing with emergency situations. Therefore, by studying the service design using drones in the initial stage of response to fires in dense residential areas, this study was intended to reify the service design area of the response stage, including the dispatch of fire sites and the fire suppression. To do this, through literature researches, research directions were explored by examining the concept and process review of service design, and by analyzing the application cases using service design. In order examine the validity of this study, a one-on-one interview was conducted to identify the use and problems of drones among incumbent firefighters, and identified the applicability of drones to fire sites by targeting drone experts. Field research was conducted to identify the location and distance of road conditions, site conditions, and 119 safety centers, by making Yongsan-gu, the most vulnerable area to fire in Seoul, as a research sample. And, among the methodologies of service design, Persona and Customer Journey Map were prepared and Insight was derived, by using virtual scenarios for the experience values and behavior analyses of the interested parties. Through these processes, this researcher intended to present the fire-response service design and help establish the direction of service design in the initial stages of fire in Korea.
