  • Historical-cultural contents are digitized documents of records or evidences about changes of human society. The changes or evolvements are results of the interaction between society and environment. So the different feafures are appears by spatio-temporal observing locations Historical-cultural contents need to be designed so that the preservation and exchange of information, adaptation to changes of the future are easy. So historical-cultural contents have structured to support the intelligent services based on context. This study propose context-based ontology-design method based on events, and we implemented web services of Bible contents by proposed method.

Semantic Ontology Speech Recognition Performance Improvement using ERB Filter (ERB 필터를 이용한 시맨틱 온톨로지 음성 인식 성능 향상)

  • Existing speech recognition algorithm have a problem with not distinguish the order of vocabulary, and the voice detection is not the accurate of noise in accordance with recognized environmental changes, and retrieval system, mismatches to user's request are problems because of the various meanings of keywords. In this article, we proposed to event based semantic ontology inference model, and proposed system have a model to extract the speech recognition feature extract using ERB filter. The proposed model was used to evaluate the performance of the train station, train noise. Noise environment of the SNR-10dB, -5dB in the signal was performed to remove the noise. Distortion measure results confirmed the improved performance of 2.17dB, 1.31dB.

  • 동영상 콘텐츠가 폭증하고 있으나 사용자가 동영상 내 장면에 내포된 개체(인물, 사건, 사물 등)를 직관적으로 검색하는 것은 어려운 상황이다. 현재 동영상 콘텐츠는 이용자들이 수동적으로 동영상보기, 다시보기, 정지 등으로 이용되고 있다. 이용자들이 능동적으로 인터랙티브하게 활용할 수 있도록 콘텐츠와 개체의 메타체계를 분석하여 장면단위로 콘텐츠의 정보를 검색을 할 수 있는 기능이 필요하다. 개체의 메타체계를 분석하여 시맨틱 모델(sematic model) 콘텐츠(Content) 온토롤지와 오브젝트(Object) 온톨로지 설계 및 2개의 온톨로지 연결을 통해 시맨틱 모델(sematic model) 접근할 수 있는 기능을 제시한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 온톨로지 기반의 가상세계를 구현하고, 그 구현된 가상세계의 거주자가 경험하는 정보를 이미 정의된 지식구조로 저장하여, 재사용성과 다양성을 보장한다. 시간의 흐름과 공간적 위치 관계의 표현을 위한 S-T(시공간) 그래프와 일련의 정의된 사건과 이벤트가 가상세계 거주자인 에이전트의 지식구조에 맞게 변형, 축소된 후에 저장되어 최종적으로 에이전트를 둘러싼 환경변화자체가 에이전트의 의사결정을 좌우하지 않고, 에이전트의 지식을 기반으로 에이전트 자신의 의사결정 시스템에 따라 환경에 대응하는 다양한 행동을 보여준다. 이러한 에이전트의 지식구조를 구현하기 위하여 기본적으로 온톨로지라는 가상세계 자체를 아우르는 추상화 모델이 필요하며, 이 모델을 상속하여 실세계의 Object들을 정의 해 나간다. 정의된 온톨로지를 기반으로 가상세계에 Object들을 등장 시키고, 시공간적 변화에 따른 정보들이 에이전트의 지식구조로 변형되어 저장되어 진다, 이렇게 저장된 정보들이 에이전트의 의사결정 시스템에 적용되어 에이전트의 다양한 행위를 보장 할 수 있다.

  • 사물인터넷 시대에 스마트 홈들의 출현으로 엣지 지역에서의 정확한 화재 감지 및 대응 기술에 대한 필요성이 요구되고 있다. 그러나, 화재 감지 동작에서 오작동으로 인한 잘못된 정보를 제공하거나, 감지 기기로부터의 불충분한 정보 제공은 화재 감지/예방을 효과적으로 수행하기 어렵게 한다. 본 논문에서는 사물인터넷 엣지 지역에서 기존의 다양한 센서들을 통해 데이터를 수집하여 온톨로지에서 추론과정을 진행하는 엣지형 온톨로지 시스템을 구현한다. 본 논문에서는 추론된 정보를 바탕으로 사물인터넷 엣지에서 발생되는 화재 사건에 대한 정확한 판단할 수 있게 한다. 제안된 화재 추론 온톨로지를 이용해 기존의 화재감지기가 제공하는 정보 뿐 만 아니라 화재 정보에 대한 확장된 정보를 사용자에게 제공하므로 사용자 유용성을 개선될 수 있음을 보인다.

  • An ontology provides an explicit specification of concepts and relations on information extracted from database or on human knowledge. Using an ontology, The information can be reconstructed according to semantic relations. In this paper. IT-People Event Ontology is constructed using people information extracted from web portals. IT-People Event Ontology represents constant information and time-temporal information on people. A system using this ontology outputs the well-organized reconstructed information on a specific individual in interest, and then the reconstructed information is suitable for users' demand.

  • Youths express their own negative experiences and feelings come from their deeply wounded mind. They seek the root cause of these wounded hearts from other people or external environment. Youths revisited the past to heal painful memories. This study designed ontology in order to provide information about the causes and symptoms of illness of the mind for youth counseling. Application ontology enables high-volume and intricate knowledge not only to get set up systematically but also to be stored as the meaningful information. It is also very useful as an integrating tool of the existing complex counseling nomenclature. And ultimately, through revitalization of the sharing and reuse of materials, it becomes possible to provide client-centered counseling services. Therefore, this study built ontology of the mind-illness as a way to analyze the causes and symptoms of the disease in the client mind for providing personalized youth counseling services.

  • The researches on the system that automatically records and retrieves one's everyday life is relatively actively worked recently. These systems, called personal memex or life log, usually entail dedicated devices such as SenseCam in MyLifeBits project. This research paid attention to the digital devices such as mobile phones, credit cards, and digital camera that people use everyday. The system enables a person to store everyday life systematically that are saved in the devices or the deviced-related web pages (e.g., phone records in the cellular phone company) and to refer this quickly later. The data collection agent in the proposed system, called MyMemex, collects the personal life log "web data" using the web services that the web sites provide and stores the web data into the server. The "file data" stored in the off-line digital devices are also loaded into the server. Each of the file data or web data is viewed as a memex event that can be described by 4W1H form. The different types of data in different services are transformed into the memex event data in 4W1H form. The memex event ontology is used in this transform. Users can sign in to the web server of this service to view their life logs in the chronological manner. Users can also search the life logs using keywords. Moreover, the life logs can be viewed as a diary or story style by converting the memex events to sentences. The related memex events are grouped to be displayed as an "episode" by a heuristic identification method. A result with high accuracy has been obtained by the experiment for the episode identification using the real life log data of one of the authors.

An Implementation of Spatio-Temporal Graph to Represent Situations in the Virtual World (가상현실 속의 상황 표현을 위한 시공간 그래프의 구현)

  • In this paper, we develop a Spatio-Temporal graph as of a key component of our knowledge representation Scheme. We design an integrated representation scheme to depict not only present and past but future in parallel with the spaces in an effective and intuitive manner. An event in general occupies not only a space but a time. Hence a crucial premise for the simulation of virtual situations is to position events in the multi-dimensional context, that is, 3-D space extended by the temporal dimension. Furthermore an event tends to have physical, social and mental aspects intertwined. As a result we need diverse information structures and functions to model entities and relations associated with events and to describe situations in different stances or perspectives of the virtual agents. These structures and functions are implemented in terms of integrated and intuitive representation schemes at different levels such as Ontology View, Instance View, ST View, Reality View. The resulting multi-dimensional comprehensive knowledge structure accommodates multi-layered virtual world developing in the time to maximize the diversity of situations in the historical context. The viability of this knowledge representation scheme is demonstrated with a typical scenario applied to a simulator implemented based on the ST Graph. The virtual stage based on the ST graph can be used to provide natural contexts for situated learning or next-generation simulation games.

Development of Prototype and Model about the Moving Picture Searching System based on MPEG-7 and KEM (MPEG-7과 KEM 기반의 동영상 검색 시스템 모델 및 프로토타입의 개발)

  • Moving picture has become the important media in education with expanded e-learning paradigm, but Korea Educational Metadata has limitation about representing information of lots of events and objects in moving picture. Announcing the MPEG-7 specification the information of lots of events and objects in it can be presented in terms of semantic and structural description of moving pictures. In this paper moving picture searching system model that integrates two metadata specifications, such as KEM and MPEG-7, is proposed. In this model one ontology to combine two metadata specifications is designed, and the other ontology about knowledge of a subject matter is added to search efficiently in searching system. As some moving picture data from Edunet were selected and stored in our server, our prototype of searching system using MPEG-7 and KEM shows the results that we are expected.
