  • 이 논문에서 비선형 배열 MUSIC 빔형성 기법을 이용하여 예인형 선배열 센서 시스템의 표적 좌우 방위 분리 방법을 기술하였다. 이 기법은 배열 운동모델 Water-Pully 모델과 방향센서의 정보를 이용하는 칼만필터를 설계하여 예인함 기동에 따른 배열형상을 추정하고 표적의 좌우방위를 분리하기 위하여 추정된 배열형상에서 MUSIC 빔형성 기법으로 신호처리를 수행하였다. 또한 예인주기와 예인진폭과 같은 예인함 기동형태의 전형적인 빔형성 기법과 MUSIC 빔형성 기법으로 표적의 좌우 방위 분리 성능을 비교 분석하였다.

Reduced Rank Eigen-Space Beamforming for Adaptive Array Systems (적응형 배열 안테나를 위한 감소 차수 고유 공간 빔형성 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, beamforming algorithm is proposed which can obtain diversity gain in beamforming system that deploy antenna elements with half-wavelength. The proposed algorithm provides beam-pattern using eigen-vectors that span received signal subspace. The criterion to decide optimal rank of eigen-space used for beamforming is also proposed. A beamforming system applied the proposed algorithm shows better performance with diversity gain as getting larger angle spread. This paper provides a description of proposed algorithm with analysis of the performance using various computer simulations.

  • In this paper, we propose an adaptive beamforming algorithm of triplet arrays for active sonar systems. The proposed algorithm consists of three steps: matched filters, cardioid beamforming, and line array beamforming. First, we apply a matched filter of a transmitted pulse to received individual sensor signals and obtain filterd signals. Then, we perform the fast Fourier transform to the matched filter results, and make a cardioid beam for each triplet data, respectively. Finally, we apply an adaptive beamforming by assuming that the cardioid beams are input signals of a line array. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm provides better performances than conventional algorithms.

  • 본 논문에서는 MISO(Multiple-Input Single-Output) 시스템에서 시공간 블록 부호(Space-Time Block Code; STBC)와 전송 고유빔 형성기의 결합을 통해 전송 다이버시티 이득과 빔형성 이득을 동시에 추구하는 기법에 대해 설명하였다. 빔형성 이득을 대한 성능을 분석하기 위해 채널간 상관 정도에 따라 모의실험을 통해 성능을 분석하였다. 성능 분석 결과 일반적인 STBC 기법을 적용하는 기법보다 우수한 성능을 보임을 확인하였다

  • 본 논문에서는 원하는 방향에 대해서 선형 위상 응답 특성을 갖는 적응 빔 형성기에 대해서 설 명한다. 본 논문에서는 제안하는 빔 형성기는 원하는 신호에 대해서 선형 위상 응답 특성을 얻기 위해 전방 적응 빔 형성기와 후방 적응 빔 형성기를 이용한다. 두 빔 형성기의 각각의 출력 신호를 합하여 원하는 신호를 얻는다. TDL 필터 계수는 가상신호와 출력 신호간의 차이 값의 파워가 최소가 되도록 조정된다. 원하는 방향에 대한 빔 형성기의 임펄스 응답이 중심 샘플에 대해서 대칭이 되도록 원하는 방향에서 입사되는 신호에 대한 선형 위상 응답 특성을 얻을 수 있다. 출력 잡음 분산을 최소로 하는 반면 원하는 신호 방향에 대한 주파수 응답의 왜곡을 미리 정한 허용치보다 작게 함으로써 음성 신호 를 향상시키는 AMNOR 시스템에 본 논문에서 제안한 빔 형성기를 적용하여 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 결과 를 제시한다.

  • In this paper, the new technique combining beamforming with space-time coding is proposed for an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) system with multi-input multi-output(MIMO). When MIMO-OFDM system is employing Nt(the number of transmitterantenna) beamfomers and one S-T decoder at Nr receiver antennas, Nt signals removed CCI are outputted at the beamformer and then diversity gain can be got through space-time decoding. As the proposed technique can reduce cochannel interference and get diversity gain in the multi-user environment, the performance of MIMO-OFDM system is very improved. BER performance improvement and convergence behavior of the proposed approach are investigated through computer simulation by applying it to MIMO-OFDM system in the multi-user environment.

  • In this paper, the new multi-beamforming is proposed for Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) Multicarrier-Code division multiple access(MC-CDMA) systems to overcome the decrease of performance due to multiuser interference and multiple-antenna interference. Installing the number of multi-beamformer which is equal to the number of multi-transmitter antennas and exploiting the proposed approach at the receiver of MIMO MC-CDMA, the multi-beams are formed toward each multi-antenna of desired user and null beam are formed to other interference. Therefore, the performance of MIMO MC-CDMA system is improved as removing the interference signal. BER performance improvement is investigated through computer simulation by the proposed approach to MIMO MC-CDMA system.

  • Downlink beamforming is very important in recent mobile communications which requires wireless internet, VOD(Video-On-Demand), multimedia services. This paper addresses and analyzes the essential considerations fur downlink beamforming of smart antenna system to provide wanted characteristics. Major considerations in this paper are HPA power allocation for downlink beamforming, received power at mobile terminal, concept and performance of auxiliary pilot channel, importance and moth of array calibration, and throughput comparison of downlink and uplink. All above mentioned items are investigated in this paper.

  • This paper shows that beamfoming module deign to adapt smart antenna system in CDMA2000 environments. The designed beamfroming module has been implemented on a general-purpose DSP as a test-bed to confirm the superior performances based on real-time processing. From the various simulation result, it is confirm that beamforming module is provide a superior beampattern in smart antenna system.

  • The 5G communication system employs the millimeter wave with the extremely high frequency. Since the high frequency signal has the strong straightness, the beamforming technology based on the multiple base stations is required for services covering wide range. The beamformer needs the angle-of-arrival(AOA) information of the signal incident to the antenna, and it is generally estimated through the high resolution AOA estimation algorithm such as Multiple Signal Classification (MUSIC) or Estimation of Signal Parameters via Rotational Invariacne Technique (ESPRIT). Although various antenna array shapes can be employed for the beamformer, a single shape (square, circle, or hexagonal) is typically utilized. In this paper, we introduce a transmitting/receiving beamforming system based on the combined array antenna with square and circular shapes, which is proper to various frequency signals, and evaluate its performance. For evaluating the performance of the proposed beamforming system based on the combined array antenna, we implement the computer simulation employing various scenarios.
