An Efficient Vehicle Parking Detection Method Using Gray Scale Images (그레이 스케일 이미지를 이용한 효율적인 주차검출 방법)

  • Empty space in the parking lot of the parking space to analyze the effective use of technology and transportation may be useful in the jungle, However, conventional analytical methods impractical parking space or need a fast processing speed. In this paper, real-time parking, so parking monitoring methods for detection is proposed. Gray-level images using the proposed method to determine whether the parking and the parking space was used to analyze. To verify the performance of the proposed method in an outdoor parking lot 129 video capture and analysis of experimental results in 98.5% of the parking space, parking space, the success of the proposed method was proved to be effective in the analysis.

Saptio-temporal Deinterlacing Based on Edge Direction and Spatio-temporal Brightness Variations (에지 방향성과 시공간 밝기 변화율을 고려한 시공간 De-Interlacing)

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient deinterlacing algorithm which interpolates the missing scan lines by weighted summing of the intra and the inter interpolation pixels according to the spatio-temporal variation. In the spatial interpolation, we adopt a new edge based spatial interpolation method which includes edge directional refinement. The conventional edge dependent interpolation algorithms are very sensitive to noise due to the failure of estimating edge direction. In order to exactly detect edge direction, our method first finds the edge directions around the pixel to be interpolated and then refines edge direction of the pixel using weighted maximun frequent filter. Futhermore, we improve the accuracy of motion detection by reducing the possibility of motion detection error using 3 tab median filter. In the final interpolation step, we adopt weighted sum of intra and inter interpolation pixels according to spatio-temporal variation ratio, thereby improving the quality in slow moving area. Simulation results show the efficacy of the proposed method with significant improvement over the previous methods in terms of the objective PSNR quality as well as the subjective image quality.

Design and Implementation of Parking Information Support System for Inner Parking Lot Based on Microprocessor (마이크로프로세서 기반의 실내 주차정보 제공 시스템 설계 및 구현)

  • Apartment complex, buildings, markets and department stores have inner parking lots which can accept many cars but drivers waste lots of times to find the empty parking spaces in crowding parking lots. In this paper, we proposed the inner parking information support system based on microprocessor which can decrease roaming times to find vacant parking spot in confusing parking lots through notice monitor and provide SMS to make it easy to find parked place. Proposed system consist with RFID system for detecting access of cars, microprocessor system for processing data of checking existence of cars on parking spots and communicating with server, and server system which processes information of cars' in and out, guides empty parking spots and parked location to drivers. Suggested system is realized by handmade model parking lot size of 8 cars, and we confirmed practicality by providing information using parking notice monitor and single message service.

Lattice-Reduction-Aided Detection based Extended Noise Variance Matrix using Semidefinite Relaxation in MIMO Systems (MIMO시스템에서 Semidefinite Relaxation을 이용한 잡음 분산 행렬 기반의 Lattice-Reduction-Aided 검출기)

  • Recently lattice-reduction (LR) has been used in signal detection for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems. The conventional LR aided detection schemes are combinations of LR and signal detection methods such as zero-forcing (ZF) and minimum mean square error (MMSE) detection. In this paper, we propose the Lattice-Reduction-aided scheme based on extended noise variance matrix to search good candidate symbol set in quantization step. Then this scheme estimates transmitted symbol with Semidefinite Relaxation by candidate symbol set. Simulation results in a random MIMO system show that the proposed scheme exhibits improved performance and a slight increase in complexity.

  • A method of individual vehicle detection using gray scale image acquired from a high position is proposed for guidance of incoming vehicles to vacant cells in a parking lot and other similar purposes. With the proposed method, each image region corresponding to a cell is fragmented according to density(gray level), and the distribution of segment area is analyzed to decide if a vehicle is present. The proposed method was tested on an actual outdoor parking lot during 2 days with different weather conditions from sunrise through sunset.

  • Cognitive radio (CR), which is proposed as a technology that utilizes the frequency resources effectively, has studied to relive scarcity of the frequency resources. CR provides opportunistically unused frequency to the secondary user when the primary user is not detected. Spectrum sensing is the most important technology to detect primary user. However, in the wireless channels, according to the effect of multipath fading channel, spectrum sensing performance is compromised. Therefore, in this paper, we apply diversity scheme that is a useful technique for combating multiple fading in wireless communications. There are several classes of diversity scheme, which are time diversity, antenna diversity, muitipath diversity, frequency diversity, and so on. In this paper, we adopt antenna diversity that is a kind of space diversity. By using the proposed method, we can overcome fading effect and improve spectrum sensing performance.

  • 본 논문에서는 충치 환자의 진단을 위해 구강 영상에서 충치를 추출하는 방법을 제안한다. 먼저 구강은 붉은색을 띄고 치아는 흰색을 띈다는 특징이 있기 때문에, 구강 영상을 YCbCr 컬러모델로 변환한다. YCbCr 컬러모델에 임계치를 설정하여 붉은 영역을 검출해내고, 검출된 붉은 영역에 대해 이진화하여 치아 영역을 추출한다. 그 후, 모폴로지 기법을 이용하여 잡음 제거 및 치아의 빈 공간을 채운다. 치아 영역 추출 시 영상에 따라 치아 사이를 잇는 모서리 부분이 손실된 경우가 발생할 수 있기 때문에 치아 사이의 손실된 부분을 연결 한다. 치아 영역에 ART2 알고리즘을 적용하여 클러스터링하고 충치 후보 영역을 추출한다. 충치 후보 영역에 8방향 윤곽선 추적 기법을 적용하여 충치를 분석 및 추출한다. 실험 결과 81%의 추출 성공률을 보였고 다양한 형태의 충치를 효과적으로 추출할 수 있는 것을 확인하였다.

Detection of periodontal disease related bacteria from the implant-abutment interface in oral cavity (구강내 임플랜트-지대주 연결부에서 치주질환관련 세균의 검출)

  • Statement of the problem: Implant systems result in gaps and cavities between implant and abutment that can act as a trap for bacteria and thus possibly cause inflammatory reactions in the peri-implant soft tissues. Purpose: Porphyromonas gingivalis, Prevotella intermedia, Tannerella forsythia, Treponema denticola, and Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans, related to implant-abutment interface microleakage. Material and methods: Samples were taken from 27 subjects with sterilized paper points and were transported in $1{\times}PBS$. The detection of periodontopathogens were performed by polymerase chain reaction with species-specific primers based on 16S rDNA. Results: Our data showed that the detection rate of P. gingivalis and P. intermedia in implant fixture was 59% and 82% in patients respectively. Detection rate of P. gingivalis and P. intermedia in implant crevice was 44% and 82% in patients. Detection rate of P. gingivalis and P. intermedias in tongue was 82% and 82% in patients. Conclusion: Current implant systems cannot safely prevent microbial leakage and bacterial colonization of the inner part of the implant.

An Energy-Efficient Operating Scheme of Surveillance System by Predicting the Location of Targets (감시 대상의 위치 추정을 통한 감시 시스템의 에너지 효율적 운영 방법)

  • In this paper, we propose an energy-efficient camera operating scheme to save energy which can be used for mass surveillance cameras. This technique determines how many cameras should be turned on in the consideration of the velocity vector of monitoring targets, which is acquired by DSRC object tracking, the model of the specification of installed cameras, and the road model of installed sites. Also, we address other techniques used to save energy for the surveillance system as well. Throughout performance evaluation, we demonstrate the excellence of our proposed scheme compared with previous approaches.

Chemical Properties of Slow-Released Nitrogen Fertilizer Using Waste Paper Slurry (폐지섬유를 이용한 완효성 요소비료의 특성)

  • The purpose of this study was conducted to develop the slow-released N fertilizer(SRNF) using of waste paper cellulose. Properties of trial product was investigated. Contents of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium in trial product were showed 26%, 0.04 and 0.01%, respectively. The contents of Cr, Cu, Pb and Zn were showed 17.4ppm. 259ppm, 12.2ppm and 60.0ppm in the trial product, respectively. However, As and Cd was not detected. Nitrogen of SRNF could be released 60.4% within 12hr after dissolution in water. However, the releasing velocity was thereafter remarkably delayed, showing 75% after dissolution for 72hr.
