Even though existing methods for orthophoto production in traditional photogrammetry are effective in large areas, they are inefficient when dealing with change detection of geometric features and image production for short time periods in small areas. In recent years, the UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle), equipped with various sensors, is rapidly developing and has been implemented in various ways throughout the geospatial information field. The data and imagery of specific areas can be quickly acquired by UAVs at low costs and with frequent updates. Furthermore, the redundancy of geospatial information data can be minimized in the UAV-based orthophoto generation. In this paper, the orthophoto and DEM (Digital Elevation Model) are generated using a standard low-end UAV in small sloped areas which have a rather low accuracy compared to flat areas. The RMSE of the check points is σH = ±0.12 m on a horizontal plane and σV = ±0.09 m on a vertical plane. As a result, the maximum and mean RMSE are in accordance with the working rule agreement for the airborne laser scanning surveying of the NGII (National Geographic Information Institute) on a 1/500 scale digital map. Through this study, we verify the possibilities of the orthophoto generation in small slope areas using general-purpose low specification UAV rather than a high cost surveying UAV.
From the two differently located orchards (even-site with adult tree and slope-site with young tree), weed emergence and the effect of various orchard herbicides on them were comparatively experimented. Weed emergence was assessed in emergence frequency, biomass, relative frequency, and herbicide responses were checked with the variarions in the above weed emergence characters and the weeding values. Herbicides applied were paraquat, glyphosate, oxyfluorfen, napropamide and ustinex using the recommended rates, respectively. Weeds emerged were 7 life-forms, 23 families and 45 species. Among other families, weeds Umbelliferae, Commelinaceae, Gramineae and Polygonaceae couldn't classified in any similarly correlated cluster. However, according to "1-Q mode cluster analysis" of each herbicide performances, "paraquat or glyphosate" with "napropamide or oxyfluorfen" were selected as the most unrelated herbicide pairs expecting the best combination value in mixture model, respectively.

The purpose of this study is to analyze how much particulate matter at the center of the urban park is reduced compared to the entrance of the park, where the particulate matter problem is serious. It also endeavored to analyze the relationship between the space closure rate and particulate matter reduction rate in the center of the park through the collection and analysis of experimental data. Seven flat land type urban neighborhood parks in Suseong-gu, Daegu were measured at the same place for three days. The research results are as follows. First, the center of the urban neighborhood park had an average temperature 1.05℃ lower than at the entrance and an average humidity of 2.57% higher. Second, the rate of fine dust reduction was PM1- 17.09%, PM2.5- 17.65%, PM10- 14.99%. As for the reduction rate of particulate matter, the smaller the size of the park, the greater the reduction rate. In addition, the reduction rate at the center of the park was lower on days when particulate matter concentration based on the weather reports was low. The higher the concentration at the park entrance, the higher the reduction rate was. Third, a higher the rate of space closures at the center of the park resulted in a higher effect of particulate matter reduction. Noting this, the relationship between particulate matter reduction and the space closure rate in urban neighborhood parks was clearly shown. We hope to be the basis for more extensive experimental data collection.
This study was carried out to investigate the effect of air humidity and water content of medium on the growth and physiological disorder of paprika in summer hydroponics. Treatments were composed of air humidity of control (over 90%) and dehumidification (low 90%) and water content of 80% and 50%. Time domain reflectometry (TDR) sensors and dehumidifier were used in a drip irrigation system and control system of air humidity, respectively. The early growth of paprika was not affected by air humidity but increased by high water content (80%) of medium. Mean fruit weight was reduced at high air humidity and low water content (50%) of medium, but the fruit number per plant and yield were increased at low air humidity. The incidence of brown fruit stem increased with increasing air humidity and water content of medium. Rate of blossom end rot increased in the low water content medium compared with the high water content medium. The nitrogen (N) was higher content in brown fruit stem than normal stem, but calcium (Ca) was lower.
The aim of this study was to investigate upper and lower limb muscle activity using EMG(electromyogram) sensors while walking and identify normal gait pattern using FSR(force sensing resistor) sensor. Fifteen college students participated in this study and their EMG and FSR signal were measured during stopping and walking trials. EMG signals from upper(pectoralis major and trapezius) and lower limbs(rectus femoris, biceps femoris, vastus medialis, vastus lateralis, semimembranosus, semitendinosus, soleus, peroneus longus, gastrocnemius medialis, and gastrocnemius lateralis) were obtained using the surface electrodes. FSR measured pressures on 8 areas of the sole of the foot during walking. EMG results showed that all muscle activities except for vastus lateralis and semimembranosus during walking had higher amplitudes than stopping. Additionally, muscle activities associated with stance and swing phase during walking were identified. Results on FSR showed that stance and swing phases were detected by FSR signals during a gait cycle. Eight gait phases-initial contact, loading response, mid stance, terminal stance, pre swing, initial swing, mid swing, and terminal swing- were classified.

Since hills are transitional area between plains and mountains, they are always under pressure to be developed. In the past, hills were recognized as areas that can be developed easily, but in the present they should be considered and preserved as forest resources. So far, little research has been done regarding cultivation status and transitional procedure. This study attempts to quantify changes in land use using time series data. To do so, this study has created a land use map for 1915, 1972, 2002 and 2006, and conducted a spatial analysis based on GIS. The research areas(the total size of the hills are 3,034 ha) are located in Chungcheongnam-do of South Korea. The size of the forest area of the hills in the research zone has decreased by 50% during the period of 1915 to 2006. The size of the reduced forest area after 2002 is similar to size of the reduced area that had taken place for the last 30 years before 2002. The reduction in forest area in the research area has led to increases in paddy field, upland field, artificial structures, and bare land. From 1915 to the late 1980s, hill development had been related to the primary industry and after the late 1980s, it has associated with the development of the secondary industry including industrial complex.

Recently demand for the 3D modeling technology to reconstruct real world is getting increasing. However, existing geospatial data are mainly based on the 2D space. In addition, most of the geospatial data provide geometric information only. In consequence, there are limits in various applications to utilize information from those data and to reconstruct the real world in 3D space. Therefore, it is required to develop efficient 3D mapping methodology and data for- mat to establish geospatial database. Especially digital elevation model(DEM) is one of the essential geospatial data, however, DEM provides only spatially distributed 3D coordinates of the natural and artificial surfaces. Moreover, most of DEMs are generated without considering terrain properties such as surface roughness, terrain type, spatial resolution, feature and so on. This paper suggests adaptive and flexible geospatial data format that has possibility to include various information such as terrain characteristics, multiple resolutions, interpolation methods, break line information, model keypoints, and other physical property. The study area was categorized into mountainous area, gently rolling area, and flat area by taking the terrain characteristics into account with respect to terrain roughness. Different resolutions and interpolation methods were applied to each area. Finally, a 3D digital map derived from aerial photographs was integrated with the geospatial data and visualized.

KOMPSAT-2 is the seventh high-resolution image satellite in the world that provides both 1m-grade panchromatic images of the GSD and 4m-grade multispectral images of the GSD. It's anticipated to be used across many different areas including mapping, territory monitoring and environmental watch. However, due to the complexity and security concern involved with the use of the MSC, the use of KOMPSAT-2 images are limited in terms of geometric images, such as satellite orbits and detailed mapping information. Therefore, this study aims to produce DEM and orthoimage by using the stereo images of KOMPSAT-2, and to explore the applicability of geo-spatial information with KOMPSAT -2. Orientation interpretations were essential for the production of DEM and orthoimage using KOMPSAT-2 images. In the study, they are performed by utilizing both RPC and GCP. In this study, the orientation interpretations are followed by the generation of DEM and orthoimage, and the analysis of their accuracy based on a 1:5,000 digital map. The accuracy analysis of DEM is performed and the results indicate that their altitudes are, in general, higher than those obtained from the digital map. The altitude discrepancies on plains, hills and mountains are calculated as 1.8m, 7.2m, and 11.9m, respectively. In this study, the mean differences between horizontal position between the orthoimage data and the digital map data are found to be ${\pm}3.081m$, which is in the range of ${\pm}3.5m$, within the permitted limit of a 1:5,000 digital map. KOMPSAT-2 images are used to produce DEM and orthoimage in this research. The results suggest that DEM can be adequately used to produce digital maps under 1:5,000 scale.
Today, various activities to save energy are being conducted around the world. Even in our country, carbon reduction policy is being conducted for low carbon green growth and with this movement, effort to replace energy sources by recognizing the problems on environment pollution and resource exhaustion due to the indiscrete usage of fossil fuel is being made. Therefore, active study on renewable energy is in progress as part of effort to replace the energy supply through fossil fuel and solar ray industry has rapidly developed receiving big strength of renewable energy policies. The conclusion of this study measuring the surface temperature change of single crystal and polycrystalline PV module in green roof system and non-green roof system aspect are as follows. There was approximately $4^{\circ}C$ difference in PV module temperature in green roof system and non-green roof system aspect and this has the characteristic to decrease 0.5% when the temperature rises by $1^{\circ}C$ when the front side of the module is $20^{\circ}C$ higher than the surrounding air temperature following the characteristic of solar cells. It can be concluded that PV efficiency will be come better when it is $4^{\circ}C$ lower. Also, in result of temperature measurement of the module back side, there was $5^{\circ}C$ difference of PV module installed on the PV module back side and green roof system side on the 5th, $3^{\circ}C$ on the 4th, $2^{\circ}C$ on the 5th to show decreasing temperature difference as the air temperature dropped, but is judged that there will be higher temperature difference due to the evapotranspiration latent heat effect of green roof system floor side as the temperature rises. Based on this data, it is intended to be used as basic reference to maximize efficiency by applying green roof system and PV system when building non-green roof system flat roof.
In South Korea, 850 standard watersheds and 7,807 KRF catchment areas have been used as basic maps for water resources policy establishment, however it becomes necessary to set up new standard maps with a more appropriate scale for the integrated managements of surface water-groundwater as well as water quantity-quality in the era of integrated water management. Since groundwater has a slow flow velocity and also has 3-D flow properties compared to surface water, the sub-catchment size is more effective than the regional watershed for the evaluation of surface water-groundwater interaction. The KRF catchment area, which has averagely a smaller area than the standard watershed, is similar to the sub-catchment area that generally includes the first-order or second-order tributaries. Some KRF catchment areas, which are based on the surface reach, are too small or large in a wide plain or high mountain area. Therefore, it is necessary to revise the existing KRF area if being used as a unit area for integrated management of surface-water and groundwater. A unit watershed with a KRF area of about 5 to 15 ㎢ can be effective as a basic unit for water management of local government considering a tributary composition and the location of groundwater wells, and as well it can be used as a basic tool for water demand-supply evaluation, hydrological observation system establishment, judgment of groundwater permission through a total quantity management system, pollution assessment, and prioritizing water policy, and etc.
