Diminution of birdge vibration for high-speed trains (고속철도 교량의 진동저감)

  • 고속철도 교량구간에 차량(KTS)이 주행할 경우 교량 바닥판에서는 큰 가속도 응답이 계측된다. 이러한 가속도의 원인으로는 큰 단면의 국부 진동, 일정한 간격의 침목의 충격 그리고 차량 자체의 진동 등 여러 가지 원인이 있다. BRDM(Bridge Design manual)에서는 이러한 동적 특성치들에 대한 제한치를 규정하고 있는데, 가속도인 경우는 0.35G이하고 규정하고 있다. 실교량 실험에 의해 계측된 가속도 응답은 규정한 제한치인 0.35G 보다는 작지만, 이러한 가속도 응답치들은 차량이 고속으로 주행할 경우 안전성에 문제를 일으킬 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 큰 단면에서 과도한 국부 진동을 지배하는 가속도 응답을 줄이기 위해서 진동저감 방법을 연구하였다. 비록 휨이나 비틀림 같은 전체 진동모드에는 효과가 작지만 일반적으로 매우 큰 단면을 가진 고속철도 프리스트레스트 상자형 교량의 국부진동인 날개짓 모드를 감소시키는데 진동저감 장치는 효과적이라고 판단된다. 실교량에서 진동저감장치의 실험은 추후 연구를 수행할 예정이다.

A Study on the Vibration of 2-Stage Gear System Considering the Change of Gear Meshing Stiffness and Imbalance of Motor (기어 물림부의 스프링강성 변화와 구동기의 불균형을 고려한 2단 기어장치의 진동에 관한 연구)

  • We develop a method to analyze dynamic behavior off multi-stage gear train system. The example system consists of three shafts supported by ball bearings at the ends of them and two pairs of spur gear set. For exact analysis, the meshing tooth pair of gear set is modeled as spring and damper having time-dependent meshing stiffness and damping. The bearing is modeled as spring. The result of this analysis is compared to that of other model having mean mesh stiffness. The effect of the excitation force by the unbalance off rotor off motor is also analyzed. Finally, the change ova natural frequency of the whole system due to the change of an angle between three shafts is compared in each case, and from this analysis, the avoiding angle for design is advised.

  • Among welded structure bogies in use for high speed freight car, a part of bogies manufactured in 1999 and 2000 have found problems that failure occurs in its end beam. In case of a freight car a difference of weight between empty and loading conditions are worse than in case of a passenger car. Moreover its brake system is tread brake without second suspension system. A failure of end beam is supposed to be due to loading by brake rather than vertical loading by freight. This failure can make brake system useless and may be a cause of derailment in the worst case. In this study, we have proposed a simple torsion-free brake shoe holder hanger to remove torsion of hanger bracket which is supposed to be one of causes of failure and performed finite element analyses for making trial manufactures and its application.

Light-weight Design of a Korean Light Tactical Vehicle Using Optimization Technique (최적화 기법을 이용한 한국형 소형전술차량의 경량설계)

  • One of various main jobs in the design of a new tactical vehicle is to develop the lightest chassis parts satisfying the required durability target. In this study, the analytic methods to reduce the size and weight of a lower control arm and chassis frame of a Korean light tactical vehicle are presented. Topology optimization by ATOM (Abaqus Topology Optimization Module) is applied to find the optimal design of the suspension arm with volume and displacement constraints satisfied. In case of chassis frame, the light-weight optimization process associated with design sensitivity method is developed using Isight and ABAQUS. By these analytic methods we can provide design engineers with guides to where and how much the design changes should be made.

  • 한 대의 자동차가 완성되기 위해서는 약 2~3만 개에 가까운 부품이 들어간다. 자동차의 심장인 엔진부분은 물론 자동차의 외형을 이루는 몸체, 각종 전기장치 등을 만들기 위해서 갖가지 부속품이 필요한 것이다. 이들 부품 가운데 특히 많이 쓰이는 것이 압축코일, 비틀림코일, 태엽 등의 각종 스프링이다. 이와 같은 스프링을 제작하는 기업은 많지만 그중에서도 (주)디지에쓰는 업계에서 명성이 자자하다. 지난 1974년 설립돼 현재 40여 명이 근무하고 있는 작은 회사이지만 기술연구소를 설치 운영하고 있을 정도로 연구개발에 힘써 온 결과 남부럽지 않은 기술력을 갖게 됐기 때문이다. 2010년에 중소기업청으로부터 기술혁신형 중소기업으로 선정된 것이 이를 입증하고 있다. 작지만 강한 기업이라는 수식어가 전혀 어색하지 않은 것이다. (주)디지에쓰가 명성을 얻고 있는 데에는 또 다른 이유가 있다. 바로 철저한 안전관리를 바탕으로 5년 연속 무재해를 이어가고 있기 때문이다. 우리나라의 산업재해 가운데 80% 이상이 50인 미만 소규모 사업장에서 발생하고 있다는 점에 비춰보면 이곳의 무재해 기록이 갖는 의미는 남다르다고 할 수 있다. 철저한 안전관리를 바탕으로 성장을 거듭하고 있는 (주)디지에쓰를 찾아가 봤다.

  • 광섬유 내에 첨가되어 있는 $GeO_2$ 등의 물질을 얼 확산시켜서 만드는 열확산 코어 광섬유는 열확산 기술에 따른 광섬유의 MFD(Mode Field Diameter)를 국소적으로 확대하여 굴절률 분포를 변화시킨 광섬유로 혹의 비틀림 및 간격에 대한 허용범위가 넓어지게 하여 접속 손실을 감소시킬 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 열확산 코어 광섬유를 제조할 때 안정된 얼확산 문제를 해결하기 위한 방법으로 트윈 토치를 이용한 프레임 브러싱 기법의 안정화된 코어 확장형 광섬유 제조시스템을 제작하였다. 또한 제작된 열확산 코어 광섬유 제조시스템을 이용하여 단일모드 조건을 만족하는 다양한 종류의 열확산 코어 광섬유가 제작됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Conditions of stiffness for a steel spring torsional vibration damper are difficult and ambiguous. Nevertheless correct estimation of stiffness is essential and important in the damper design for the damper to activate properly in the field. In this paper, to build up the estimation method of steel spring torsional vibration damper a miniaturized model was developed for modelling between a spring and inner star of the damper. The method obtained from the results through the experiment and analysis of it was applied to the prototype torsional damper.

  • An investigation was made for the added mass moment of inertia induced by the rotational motion of the cylinder with hull section on water in order to obtain the information to estimate the natural frequency of the torsional vibration of ships. The special consideration to the effect of the draught upon the added mass moment of inertia is taken into account in the study. In this paper, the general expression for the added mass coefficients of moment of inertia of arbitary two dimensional forms induced by the torsional vibration, was derived by the author. Hence, the coefficients for these forms are represented as functions of parameters, the section area coefficient and draft beam ratio, from which the added mass coefficients for arbitrary forms can be obtained. The result was shown in a chart for estimation of the added mass moment of inertia induced by the torsional vibration, as first trial, for the convenience of practical use.

  • The notion of leisure has changed with industrial development and improvement in life quality. Bicycling is a healthy sport; it is an exercise performed while enjoying nature. There have been many changes in the materials that are used to manufacture the bicycle frame. Iron and aluminum have been mainly used in bicycle frames. However, carbon-based materials are lighter and stronger than metal frames. The bicycles made of carbon composite changes frame rigidity depending on the direction of the carbon sheet sacking angle. We study the direction of composite material and how they affect the stiffness of frames based on the stacking angle.
