Six Sigma has been adopted for the last two decades in many industries of manufacturing and service business to implement processs improvement. The methodology has difficulties in discovering target projects in the Define step and in controlling continuous measure and control in the Control step. To address the problem, more advanced system is required to support continuous control and management, and business process management (BPM) can be an effective solution for this problem. In this research, we introduce integrated models of Six Sigma and BPM for the purpose of realizing continuous process improvement, and explain the procedure of analyzing, improving, and monitoring the processes based on the data which has been accumulated in business process execution. It is expected that this integrated approach can maximize business performance by improving and managing business continuously on the integrated platform of two business innovation strategies, Six Sigma and BPM.

비즈니스 리엔지니어링 이후, 프로세스 개선 및 다양한 정보시스템 구축 등 혁신의 결과에도 불구하고 기업들은 혁신을 체질화 하는 데는 큰 성과를 보이지 못하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 상시적인 혁신 및 혁신결과의 지식화를 달성하기 위하여 가장 효과적인 프레임워크인 PAL(Process Asset Library) 기반의 PI(Process Innovation) 방법론을 소개하고, 국내 소비재(CPG) 기업의 구축 사례를 통하여 PAL 기반의 PI가 기업 내에 체질화되는 과정을 살펴보았다.

BPM에 대한 많은 관심은 표준의 필요성을 제기함과 동시에 제정된 표준의 보급을 위한 적절한 적용방법론을 요구하고 있다. 본 연구는 프로세스 모형화 측면에서 BPMN(Business Process Modeling Notation) 표준을 자사 BPMS 솔루션 개발에 적용하고자 하는 벤더들에게 유용한 적용 방법론을 제공하는 것을 목표로 시각화, 의미론 구현, 호환성 등의 관점에서 4단계의 표준 적용 수준을 정의하고, 각 단계에서의 수행 방법론과 이슈를 기술하였다. 본 연구를 통해 솔루션 벤더들이 자사의 BPMN 표준 적용 수준과 관련된 의사결정을 하는데 있어서 유용한 참조 모델로서 기능할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

Railroad logistics transporting freight by train takes charge of 10 or 20 percent of domestic cargos. Railroad logistics users such as transport companies including shippers or Inland Container Depot(ICD) use electronic document(EDI or XML) or input data through WEB to process railroad logistics business. However, as business environments evolving into e-business, it is required to upgrade the legacy railroad logistics process. As the increase of using ebXML-based schema format, it is also needed to improve the electronic documents based on DTD format into those of XML schema format. This study deals with information standard for railroad logistics to improve the railroad logistics business. To this purpose railroad business processes were re-defined through the standard business process modeling methodology. Information model was also derived by defining railroad logistics activities from business process model. And Business Information Entities(BIEs) were defined to design new electronic documents according to the extracted information model. An improved system architecture for railroad logistics was proposed as well. The results of this study will provide an effective and flexible business flow to railroad logistics business.

This study proposed the approaches to business process redesign and business network redesign in e-business environment through the case analysis of e-Transformation performed in Kolon Gloteck, Inc. which has been managed and operated in a traditional mode. The proposed e-Transformation approaches of the traditional firm in this study were as following: 1) Network-focused business process redesign; 2) Introducing ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) as e-Business backbone; 3) Establishing transparence of business functions through using shared database; 4) Understanding customer and constructing IT(Information Technology) infrastructure for customer satisfaction; 5) Performing data and process standardization; 6) Applying the best suitable IT(Information Technology) such as JSP(Java Server Pages) and VPN(Virtual Private Network). The findings of this case study are thought to be useful as a practical guideline in carrying, out e-Transformation of the typical traditional firm and to provide significant basis for constructing the theoretical framework of e-Transformation methodology.

웹 서비스 기반의 비즈니스 프로세스 관리 시스템은 트랜잭션에 대한 신뢰도의 확보를 위하여 트랜잭션 관리가 필요하다. 트랜잭션 관리를 위한 여러 트랜잭션 프로토콜들이 제시되었지만, 다양한 프로토콜들은 서로간의 이질성으로 인해 비즈니스 프로세스 관리 시스템들 간의 상호호환을 저해한다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 시맨틱스 기반의 트랜잭션 프로토콜을 제안한다. 시맨틱스 기반의 트랜잭션 프로토콜은 상태와 메시지에 대한 정적 시맨틱스(Static Semantics)와 상태 전이에 관한 동작 시맨틱스(Operational Semantics)로 구성된다. 정적 시맨틱스는 프로토콜의 상태와 메시지를 Web Ontology Language(OWL)을 사용하여 온톨로지 기반으로 정의한 모델로서, 트랜잭션 프로토콜에 대한 상호 이해도를 높일 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 동작 시맨틱스는 비즈니스 트랜잭션의 상태전이를 Abstract State Machine(ASM)으로 정의한 모델로서, 트랜잭션 실행에 대한 자동화와 체계적인 모니터링을 지원할 것으로 기대된다. 트랜잭션 프로토콜들간의 상호호환을 위하여 이러한 정적 시맨틱스와 동작 시맨틱스를 기반으로 하여 각 트랜잭션 프로토콜 및 중립 트랜잭션 프로토콜의 시맨틱스를 정의한다. 정의된 각 트랜잭션 프로토콜의 정적 시맨틱스는 중립 트랜잭션 프로토콜의 정적 시맨틱스와 온톨로지 기반의 매핑 관계를 형성한다. 중립 트랜잭션 프로토콜의 정적 시맨틱스를 매개로 한 온톨로지 매핑은 각 트랜잭션 프로토콜들 간의 상호호환을 지원할 것으로 기대된다.

In this study, we propose a methodology of mating it easy to integrate the heterogeneous and distributed information of e-Business environments with the semantic web components , knowledge representation, ontology and agents. It is based on a collaborative interoperable environment, which should be constructed by meta-modeling and employing agents , and the syntactic/semantic integration. We adopt OWL(Web Ontology Language) to specify ontology in a layered architecture for each agent to use, which is based on the IRDS (Information Resource Dictionary Standard) framework. And we give an illustrative example using the terms from PSL(Process Specification Language)-ontology. By defining, managing and sharing resources and business-processes on the proposed framework, it could be possible to get rid of the cause of redundancy and inconsistency.

본 논문에서는 기업간의 비즈니스 프로세스의 자동화를 목적으로 하는 워크플로우 관리 시스템간의 상호 운영성을 지원하는 레지스트리 기반 기업간 워크플로우 모델링 도구를 설계하고 구현한다. 전자상거래를 대표하는 B2B (Business-to-Business) / B2E (Business-to-Enterprise) 환경에서 Interworkflow 메커니즘의 Cross Organizational 워크플로우 모델의 출현은 기업간 이질적인 환경에서의 조직과 시스템간의 상호운용성과 글로벌 워크플로우 관리를 가능하게 하였다. 이러한 메커니즘은 전자상거래의 발전에 많은 요소를 포함하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 Interworkflow 메커니즘의 Cross Organizational 워크플로우 모델의 연구를 통해 발전된 형태의 워크플로우 관리 시스템을 소개하고 또한 새로운 문제점을 제시한다. 또한 Interworkflow의 프로세스와 조직의 정의시 나타나는 문제점을 제시, 분석하고 이를 통해 발전된 형태의 레지스트리 기반 기업간 워크플로우 모델링 도구를 설계, 구현한다 이렇게 제시한 도구들을 통해 기업간 비즈니스 프로세스 자동화를 위한 전자상거래 워크플로우 관리 시스템 모델을 제시한다.

자가통제평가(CSA : Control Self Assessment)는 핵심사업 목적을 달성하는데 개입되는 위험 그리고 그러한 사업위험을 관리하기 위하여 설계된 내부통제를 공식적이고 문서화된 협력적 프로세스에 의하여 검토하기 위하여 사용되는 방법론이다. 현재 많은 기업에서 효과적인 조직통제와 비즈니스 프로세스 개선을 위하여 전문 감사인과 경영인들이 기업지배구조 조직의 강력한 위험관리 도구로서 자가통제평가의 필요성을 강조하고 있다. 자가통제평가는 해당 조직의 담당부서나 팀에서 내부통제평가를 통하여 내부통제상의 재무보고, 준법, 사업 및 운영상의 효율성 등을 확보하기 위해서 설치되며, 효과적인 모니터 장치로서 기업지배구조상의 업무 프로세스를 정비하고 업무에서 발생하는 제반 정보의 흐름을 원활하게 해서 조직에게 손해가 발생할 수 있는 여러 가지 위험으로부터 회사를 사전에 차단하는 기능을 한다. 이러한 부분에서 효과적인 자가통제평가 시스템을 구축하는 것이 중요할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 e-Business 관련 기업지배구조의 안전성을 확보하기 위한 자가통제평가 모델에 대한 개발 필요성과 관련 자가통제평가 세가지 기본 모델들을 통하여 장단점을 제시하고, 자가통제평가 모델의 필요성을 논의하였다.

컴포넌트 지향 소프트웨어 개발은 독립적이고 확장성 있는 재사용 부품을 만들어 표준화되고 신뢰성 있는 소프트웨어 모듈 조립에 의한 것이며, 개발비용과 시간을 줄이고 유지보수를 용이하게 한다. 이러한 컴포넌트는 여러 가지 도메인 상에서 제공될 수 있도록 기존의 컴포넌트 생성을 위한 방법론이 제시되어져 왔다. 본 논문에서는 비즈니스 도메인을 기반으로 요구사항에서부터 분석 및 설계, 구현, 그리고 실행에 이르는 분산형 비즈니스 컴포넌트를 생성하는 개발 프로세스를 제시하여, 확장된 형태의 4가지 비즈니스 컴포넌트(attribute, operation, facility, package)를 얻어낼 수 있도록 하며, 분산형 컴포넌트는 웹을 기반으로 세분화한 시스템 관리를 단순하게 하고, 비즈니스 컴포넌트의 재사용성을 높이고 유지보수를 줄이며, 컴포넌트간의 통합을 쉽게 한다. 또한, 사용자가 원하는 실세계의 비즈니스 개념을 올바르게 적용할 수 있으며, 단일 개념의 단순한 형태로 사용자가 원하는 내용을 쉽게 변화시킬 수 있도록 하여 미숙한 재사용자들이 빠르고 효과적으로 활용할 수 있도록 한다.
