Fracture Behavior of Dowel Joint of Concrete Slab Track (콘크리트궤도 슬래브의 다웰 연결부 파괴 거동)

  • Recently, an interest on joint behavior between adjacent concrete slab tracks has increasing due to large application of such track system. Dowel bars are widely used to improve load transfer capacity across the joints. Dowel bars reduce the deflections and stresses by transferring the load between the slabs. This study proposes the lumped shear spring model to efficiently model dowel joints of adjacent slabs. This model includes bearing stiffness between dowel bar and concrete as well as dowel gap. Strength of the proposed spring model is evaluated based on Concrete Capacity Design method under the assumption of shear failure mode in the joints. Experiments are also performed up to failure to evaluate the accuracy of the proposed model. It has been observed that the proposed model is able to predict initial nonlinearity due to dowel gap, and capture material nonlinearity of the test slabs. Thus, it is recommended that the proposed model can be effectively applied to the dowel joints of concrete slab track.

Seismic Performance of Reinforced Concrete Flat Plate Frames according to Gravity Shear Ratio (중력전단비에 따른 철근콘크리트 플랫 플레이트 골조의 내진 성능 평가)

  • This study evaluates the seismic performance of reinforced concrete (RC) flat plate structures relation to the gravity shear ratio. For this purpose, 3 and 7 story framed buildings were designed for gravity loads only. Subsequently, a nonlinear static pushover analysis and a nonlinear time history analysis for the prototype buildings were carried out. In the nonlinear analysis, newly propose analytical slab-column joint model was utilized to capture punching shear failure and fracture mechanism in the analysis. The analytical results showed that seismic performance of RC flat plate frame is strongly influenced by the gravity shear ratio. In particularly, in the RC flat plate frame with a large gravity shear ratio the lateral strength and maximum drift capacity decreased significantly.

  • A refined method of analysis which is called the Advanced Analysis has been introduced This method is to consider the intial member imperfection residual stress and second-order effects so as to estimate the overall behavior of steel frame accurately Based on the refined plastic hinge method that is more suitable and practical in design practice. the program RPH-2DF is coded using the log model which represents the moment-rotation relationship of connection. The validity of this program is examined by frame test data. Finally to investigate the difference between behaviors of rigid and semi-rigid frame. the 10-story frame analysis results designed by MIDAS-GEN v4.2.2 are compared with the results by RPH-2DF.

Flexural Behavior of Composite HSB I-Girders in Positive Moment (HSB 강합성거더 정모멘트부 휨거동)

  • The flexural behavior of composite HSB600 and HSB800 I-girders under a positive moment was investigated using the material non-linear moment-curvature analysis method. Three representative composite sections with different ductility properties were selected as the baseline sections in this study. Using these baseline sections, the moment-curvature program was verified by comparing the flexural strength and the moment-curvature curve obtained from the program with those obtained using the non-linear FE analysis of ABAQUS. In the FE analysis, the composite girders were modeled three-dimensionally with flanges, the web, and the concrete slab as thin shell elements, and initial imperfections and residual stresses were imposed on the FE model. In the moment-curvature and FE analyses, the 28-day compressive strength of the concrete slab was assumed to be 30-50 MPa, and the HSB600 and HSB800 steels were modeled as elasto-plastic strain-hardening materials, with the concrete as the CEB-FIP model. The effects of the ductility ratio of the composite girder, the type of steel, the compressive strength of the concrete deck, and the location of the plastic neutral axis on the flexural characteristics were analyzed.

Improvement of Linearity in Delay Cell Loads for Differential Ring Oscillator (지연 셀의 부하 저항 선형성을 개선한 차동 링 발진기)

  • In this paper, the issue of the differential ring oscillator in designing low phase noise is linearity improvement of delay cell's load resistor. A novel differential delay cell that improves on the Maneatis load is proposed. The linearity improvement of load resistor results in lower phase noise in ring oscillator. For comparison of the phase noise characteristics, Ali Hajimiri's phase noise model is used. In order to have a low ISF(impulse sensitivity function), it is important to have a symmetry between rise time and fall time of oscillation waveform. The ISF value of ing oscillator based on the proposed delay cell is lower than that of the existing ring oscillators. Due to this result, the phase noise is improved by 2~3dBc/Hz for the same power dissipation and oscillation frequency.

  • This paper suggest the image compression that is needed to process PACS in medical information system. The image decoding method is used Linear-predictor and Lloyd-Max quantizer(quantization) in the Wavelet transform domain. Wavelet Transform Method is processed the multi-resolution by dividing image into 10 sub-bands of 3 levels. Low frequency domain that is sensitive to human visual characteristic is encoded by DPCM which is lossless encoding methods, and Lloyed-Max quantizer, the optimal quantizer for reducing ringing and aliasing in the image of inter sub-band, is used in the remaining high frequency domain of sub-band. The examination verifies that decompressed images are superior by the result that PSNR is 28.53dB on the input image, 512$\times$152 abdominal CT image and Chest image.

  • There have been several recent studies concerning the stability of fuzzy control system and the synthesis of stabilizing fuzzy controllers. This paper reports on a related study nf the TS (Takagi-Sugeno) fuzzy systems, and it is shown that the controller synthesis problems for the nonlinear systems described by the TS fuzzy model can be reduced to convex problems involving LMIs (linear matrix ineclualities). After classifying the TS fuzzy systems into three families based on how diverse their input matrices are, different controller synthesis procedure is given for each of these families. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the synthesis procedures developed in this paper.

  • 퍼지 시스템은 비선형 시스템을 해석하고 제어기 설계 등에 많이 이용되고 있으나 대부분의 그 구현은 PC나 웍스테이션의 프로그램에 의존하고 있다. 고속의 동작을 요구하는 시스템이나 소형 시스템에는 전용 프로세서의 사용이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 여러 퍼지 시스템 중에서 적은 규칙수로도 효과적인 성능을 나타내고 결론부가 선형식으로 표현되어 ASIC을 이용한 하드웨어화가 용이한 형태를 가진 TSK퍼지 추론 프로세서를 FPGA로 구현한다. ASIC의 설계는 Top-down 방식을 이용하여 전체구성은 Schematic을 이용하고 기능블록은 VHDL로 기술한다. TSK퍼지 추론의 연산은 전제부와 결론부를 병렬연산함으로써 고속처리를 구현하고 이에 필요한 제어부를 설계하였다. 또한 하드웨어 구현을 위해 실수연산을 이산화된 연산으로 바꾸고 이에 따른 나누기 연산자를 구현하였다.

  • 전력 계통의 운용 계획을 최적화 하기 위해서 수요예측에 관한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 기존의 수요예측 기법의 최대 오차는 특수일이 토요일과 월요일인 경우와 연휴인 경우에 발생한다. 이 중 특수일이 토요일과 월요일인 경우는 퍼지 선형회귀분석법과 상대계수법을 이용하여 우수한 결과를 도출한 바 있다. 구정과 추석은 특수일 중 평일과의 부하 차이가 가장 큰 특수일이며 약 $45{\sim}50%$ 정도가 감소된다. 이러한 부하의 감소 폭은 서서히 줄어서 연휴 당일 4일 후에는 완전히 복구가 되며 연휴 전 부하가 낮아지는 시점은 연휴 당일 3일 전이다. 연휴 예측의 불확실성은 연휴 기간의 길이 변동 및 기타 다양한 변수들에 의한 유동성에 기인한다. 특히 추석의 경우 과거 데이터 이용에 더욱 신중해야 하며 타 특수일에 비해 부하 값의 예측이 힘들다. 또한 직전 평일 대비 추석 연휴의 부하는 변화가 심하게 나타나며 본 논문에서는 퍼지 선형회귀분석법을 기본으로 변형된 알고리즘으로 향상된 예측도를 제시한다.

Design Wave Period Estimation Using the Wave Height Information (파고 정보를 이용한 설계주기 추정)

  • The wave height and period regression curve is widely used to estimate the design wave period. In this study, the parameters of the curves are estimated, compared, and evaluated using the linear, robust linear, and nonlinear regression methods, respectively. The data used in the design wave height estimation are the annual maxima (AM) wave height and period data sets divided by typhoon and non-typhoon conditions, provided by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (2019). The estimation parameters show significant differences in the local coastal waters and the estimation methods. The estimation parameters based on the Suh et al. (2008, 2010) method show the apparent bias, under-estimation in the intercept (scale) parameter, and over-estimation in the slope (exponent) parameter, respectively.
