Effective Dynamic Models for the Development of Control Algorithms of a Condensing Gas Boiler System (콘덴싱 가스보일러시스템의 제어 알고리즘 개발을 위한 효과적인 동적모델)

  • Condensing gas boiler units may make a big role for the reduction of energy consumption in heating industries. In order to decrease the energy consumption of a condensing gas boiler unit, the effective operations and controls of the system are necessary. In this study, mathematical models of a condensing gas boiler system were developed and programmed in order to predict dynamic behaviors of the system. These include dynamic models for a blower, a gas valve, a pump, a burner, a boiler heat exchanger, and a hot water heat exchanger. Control algorithms for the control of a gas valve, a blower, and a pump were also assumed. Simulation results showed good predictions of the dynamic phenomena of a boiler system. Therefore, the simulation program developed for this study may be effectively used for the development of control algorithms of the boiler system.

  • 본 논문에서는 태양광전원용 3상 인버터의 배전계통 연계시의 동특성을 이해하고 해석하기 위하여, dq좌표변환과 원하는 전압의 크기와 위상을 만들어 내기 위해 사용한 비례적분 제어기(Proportinal Controller : PI), 출력전류 제어를 위한 전류제어 알고리즘, 2상/3상 변환 및 인버터의 Sinusoidal PWM방식의 인버터 설계에 대한 이론적인 알고리즘을 제시하였다. 이를 바탕으로 PSCAD/EMTDC를 이용한 태양광발전의 모델링을 수행하여, Simulation 결과와 산술적 해석의 비교, 분석을 통하여 모델링의 유효성을 확인하였다.

A Study on Speed Control by means of voltage·current model complex flux estimator (유도전동기의 전압·전류 모델 합성 자속 추정기에 의한 속도제어에 관한 연구)

  • This study uses the algorithm which estimates the magnetic flux using different models in the low speed driving area and the high speed driving area by the voltage-current model synthesis magnetic flux Estimator and, from this result, estimates the magnetic flux angle to achieve the stable speed control through all the areas from the low speed to the high speed drive. In particular, the current change and the magnetic flux change under variable load were estimated in real time in the low speed area and this made the control characteristic improved in the low speed area. According to this, even under variable load, the more stable simulation and experiment could have been completed using PI current controller and PI flux controller in all the areas. As a result, the outstanding speed control characteristic has been achieved.

  • This paper presents a vector control implementation for SPMSM(Surface-mounted Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) using dSPACE 1104 system and MATLAB/SIMULINK. SPMSM can be treated as a DC motor provided that currents of flux and torque component are controlled independently using vector control. Therefore various control algorithms for conventional DC motor control can be adopted to SPMSM. The system is designed to improve set-point tracking capability, fast response, and accuracy In This paper, d-q equivalent modeling of PMSM is derived based on vector control theory. PI controller is used for speed control and decoupling PI controller is used for current control. For the implementation of high performance vector control system, dSPACE 1104 system is used. Experiments were carried out to examine validity of the proposed vector control implementation.

Control of Pressure and Thrust for a Variable Thrust Solid Propulsion System Using Linearization (선형화 기법을 이용한 가변추력 고체추진 기관의 압력 및 추력 제어)

  • Solid propulsion systems have simple structures compared to other propulsion systems and are suitable for long-term storage. However the systems generally have limits on control of thrust levels. In this paper we suggest control algorithms for combustion chamber pressure of variable thrust solid propulsion systems using special nozzles such as pintle valve. For the pressure control within the chamber, we use a simple pressure change model by considering only mass conservation within the combustion chamber, design a classical algorithm and also a nonlinear controller using the feedback linearization technique. Also we derive the equation of the thrust for an under-expanded one-dimensional nozzle and then design a proportional-intergral controller after linearizing the thrust model for an operating point. Finally, we demonstrate the performance of the controller through a numerical simulation.

Containment Control for Second-order Multi-agent Systems with Input Saturations (입력 포화를 고려한 2차 다중 에이전트 시스템을 위한 봉쇄제어)

  • In this paper, we study the containment control problem for second-order multi-agent systems, which consists of multiple leaders and followers. The goal is to drive the followers toward the convex hull spanned by the leaders. Thus, the swarm behavior can be obtained by controlling the entire group by the leaders. This paper considers the leaders move at a constant speed and the followers have input saturations. Moreover, we assume that the followers can exchange information with neighbors, and only relative state information is available. Under these assumptions, we propose the Proportional-Integral based distributed control algorithm to solve the containment control problem with moving leaders. Moreover, based on Lasalle's invariance principle, the conditions for the control gains that guarantee the convergence of the followers to the convex hull spanned by the leaders are investigated, and it was shown that it can be designed only using the system parameter. Finally, the simulations are conducted to validate the theoretical result.

Adaptive Enhancement of Low-light Video Images Algorithm Based on Visual Perception (시각 감지 기반의 저조도 영상 이미지 적응 보상 증진 알고리즘)

  • Aiming at the problem of low contrast and difficult to recognize video images in low-light environment, we propose an adaptive contrast compensation enhancement algorithm based on human visual perception. First of all, the video image characteristic factors in low-light environment are extracted: AL (average luminance), ABWF (average bandwidth factor), and the mathematical model of human visual CRC(contrast resolution compensation) is established according to the difference of the original image's grayscale/chromaticity level, and the proportion of the three primary colors of the true color is compensated by the integral, respectively. Then, when the degree of compensation is lower than the bright vision precisely distinguishable difference, the compensation threshold is set to linearly compensate the bright vision to the full bandwidth. Finally, the automatic optimization model of the compensation ratio coefficient is established by combining the subjective image quality evaluation and the image characteristic factor. The experimental test results show that the video image adaptive enhancement algorithm has good enhancement effect, good real-time performance, can effectively mine the dark vision information, and can be widely used in different scenes.

  • This paper proposes an estimation algorithm to find the moment of inertia, which is essential to design high performance controller for motor drive system. The algorithm finds the moment of inertia observing the position error signal, which contains an error information of moment of inertia, generated by speed observer. Moreover, the proposed algorithm is easily realized in the observer-based speed detection method. The simulation and experimental results are also presented to confirm the performance of moment of inertia estimation method, which shows that the moment of inertia converges to the actual value within several seconds. The speed control responses and the designed speed controller performance match well.

  • 본 논문은 계통연계형 태양광 발전 시스템에서 유효, 무효전력 주입 시 성능개선을 위한 슬라이딩 모드가 적용된 직접전력제어 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 제어 기법은 공간벡터변조 방식이 적용된 직접전력제어에서 적합한 비례-적분제어기의 모델링을 함으로 적절한 제어기의 이득을 설정한다. 직접전력 제어의 우수한 응답특성을 유지하기 위하여 가변구조제어의 한종류인 슬라이딩 모드제어를 적용한다. 제안하는 알고리즘의 검증을 위하여 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 제안하는 제어기법의 타당성을 확인 한다.

A Study on Improvement of PWR Steam Generator Water Level Control at Low Power Operation (저출력시 원전 증기발생기 수위제어 개선 연구)

  • This paper presents an improved water level control scheme for Pressurized Water Reactor(PWR) Steam Generator(S/G) at the low power operation and transient states. To reduce fluctuations of the water level by the swell and shrink phenomena, the scheme adds feedforward terms considering S/G pressure and the feedwater temperature into the conventional proportional-integral feedback controller. The simulation results using the Compact Nuclear Simulator show that smaller level errors and much faster settling time than those of the conventional scheme can be obtained. The proposed algorithm is easily implementable and has a potential for the real applications.
