This study aims to examine online students' informal information seeking behavior during their loaming process and online loaming environments to support their informal information needs. The participants of the study were 29 online students in the Professional Development Studies of Rutgers University. Data was collected by the questionnaire and was analyzed with content analysis and descriptive statistics. This study focuses on when and why online students need human interaction to solve their learning problems and how they communicate with others to meet their informal information needs. Moreover, how online students think about their personal communication opportunities and the functions of their online learning system to support their loaming problems is also examined. Finally, online students suggest the ways to effectively support personal communication needed during learning process in online teaming systems. Based on the findings of this study, a few considerations are suggested in conclusions.

본 연구에서는 질문지법을 이용하여 과학기술분야 연구자들의 정보요구를 파악하고 이를 바탕으로 정보요구별 탐색행태를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 특정 정보요구에 대해 비공식 커뮤니케이션 채널이 정보탐색에 중요한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 탐색과정에서 이용자가 느끼는 정보부족의 원인에 대해서는 정보요구별로 어느 정도 차이가 있는 것이 확인되었다. 반면, 정보탐색환경에서 연구자들이 중요하게 생각하는 요소는 정보요구별로 큰 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 정보요구를 바탕으로 과학기술분야 연구자의 탐색행태 분석결과를 적용함으로써 이용자 특성에 따라 개별화된 과학기술 정보 서비스를 기대할 수 있다.

Information service for the aged is a new challenge for public libraries in Korea. To develop an internet-based information service at public library perspectives, information sources, information need, and information seeking and using behavior are investigated. Interview survey is performed to 1060 adults aged 60 and over. Finding revealed that the respondents led to few channels to information except for mass media and informal oral communication. It ascertain ways in which 23% of the respondents currently use internet, and identify barriers of nonusers. The information need of the elderly are diverse, but health/medicine, news, hobbies, religion, leisure/travel are most identified need in descending order. Based on data analysis and previous research results, a cooperative service model consisting of information contents, online reference, interface design, and education is developed. Finally problems and suggestions for future improvement are discussed.

The prior studies on the practical lawyer's information seeking behaviors, including Leckie et al. (1996) model showed that role of the work and nature of the work in attorney's practices had an significant influence on the attorney's information seeking behaviors. This study now asks if these prior analyses can be applicable to attorneys' practices nowadays. This study performed surveys and interviews with 21 practical attorneys in korea who were grouped by their experience period and the size of law firms. This study concludes that role of the work in Leckie et al. model still affects the attorneys' information seeking behaviors today and moreover, the attorney's experience and the size of law firms as variables also have made an impact on attorney's behaviors so far. By the way, this study further finds that the attorneys prefer the digital information in online database and formal information like statutes or case laws. These results are definitely different from them of the prior studies. In addition, this study suggests that the behavior such as meaningful using of the informal information in difficulties with improper information can be kinds of the attorney's information seeking behaviors.

Today, the importance of library services for children is well acknowledged by many. The children's rooms of the public library in addition to the children's library must be the place where the community's young ones grow up and learn to give back to their society. Also, the libraries are a life-long source of education. However, not all of the public libraries in our country have librarians specialized in children and young adults. The lack of specialized librarians prevents the public libraries from keeping up with the rapid change of society, which in turn prevents the libraries from meeting children's needs for information, culture, and recreation. The purpose of this research has two goals in mind. The first objective is to find out how to effectively build cooperative networks that will help the children's librarians of both public and children's libraries to better serve the children. The second objective is to solve any problems the librarians may encounter while serving the children by studying the formal and informal contents of the cooperative networks, and identifying which areas are in need of these cooperative networks.

The purpose of this study is to review the relationship between managerial system(CEO support, pay system, education & training) and knowledge management, and the moderating effect of decentralization and formalization in small business. In order to verify and achieve the purposes mentioned above, questionnaire data are gathered and analysed from 227 subjects in Kangwon-do province. Multiple regression and multiple hierarchical regression analysis were applied to test the proposed hypotheses: 1) the relationship between managerial system and knowledge acquisition, 2) the relationship between managerial system and knowledge transfer, 3) the moderating effects of decentralization on the relationship between managerial system and knowledge management, 4) the moderating effects of formalization on the relationship between managerial system and knowledge management. Empirical survey's findings are as follows; First, knowledge acquisition and transfer appeared to be positively related with CEO support and education & training. Second, education & training was verified to be more positively related with knowledge transfer in higher decentralization group than in lower group. Third, CEO support and education & training were more positively with knowledge acquisition in lower formalization group than in higher group. Fourth, pay system were more positively with knowledge transfer in lower formalization group than in higher group.

졸음운전으로 인한 교통사고는 매년 꾸준하게 일어나 이에 대한 다방면의 해결책이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 위 문제를 개선하고자 ChatGPT와 영상처리를 이용한 졸음 감지 시스템을 구현하였다. 이 시스템은 운전자의 얼굴 부분을 영상처리로 인식하여 눈동자의 종횡비를 구해 PERCLOS 공식에 따른 운전자의 졸음을 판별시키고, 경고와 동시에 ChatGPT가 운전자에게 특정 주제를 키워드로 TTS와 STT를 통해 대화한다. 운전자의 졸음을 판별하기 위해 임베디드 보드에서 연결된 캠을 통해 졸음 판별을 하고, ChatGPT도 마찬가지로 보드에서 연결한 스피커, 마이크를 통해 운전자와 대화한다. 이를 활용하여 운전자의 졸음 자각을 통한 안전운전 및 사고 발생률의 감소를 기대할 수 있다.

In the third comprehensive library development plan, the formal and informal social safety space function of the library is used as a project. Therefore, this study investigated whether libraries were designated as evacuation facilities and related service status, and librarians' awareness, perception and attitude toward disaster and disaster response services. Based on this, it was intended to propose a direction to activate disaster and disaster response services. The research results are as follows. First, it is necessary to improve the perception of librarians who are the service providers. Second, discussions on spatial aspects, such as temporary or permanent, are needed. Third, development of disaster and disaster-related service models is required. Fourth, the administration's support and management are essential for the effectiveness of the library's function as a social safety space. Fifth, when developing guidelines for the role of libraries as social shelters and related services, specific details to address the concerns of individual libraries and librarians need to be specified.

Current methods of measuring the sediment concentration of natural streams can be affected by weather conditions and have lower reliability in bed-load sections due to mechanical limits. Theoretical methods have to be used to solve this problem, but they have low reliability compared to the measured values and diverse results for the bed-load sediment concentration. This study proposes a new way to reliably determine the bed-load sediment concentration from the relation with theoretical depth-integrated concentration based on the informational entropy concept. Sediment distribution shows a uniform probability distribution under maximized entropy conditions under some constraints, so a function can be calculated for the sediment distribution and depth-integrated concentration. The parameters of a stream were estimated by a nonlinear regression method using the concentration data from a past experiment. Equilibrium N (EN) was estimated using the relation between two different formulas proposed in this study, which can ease the estimation of both the total sediment distribution and depth-integrated sediment concentration with high reliable results with an average R2 of 0.924.
