  • 짧은 기간에 비약적으로 기술이 발전하는 시대에는 사용자의 미래환경과 그에 따른 사용자의 행태를 미리 분석할 수 있는 방법이 절실히 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 블루투스 핸즈프리 헤드셋의 UI 디자인 개발을 위해 사용된 사용자의 제품 사용행태 예측 과정을 통해 그 방법론을 제시하고자 한다. 1 차로 블루투스 핸즈프리 헤드셋 사용자가 그것을 사용하는 사용행태를 조사 분석하였으며, 조사의 결과를 인터랙티브 스토리텔링의 방법으로 구성하여 아이디어개발을 위한 보조도구로 개발하였다. 조사의 대상은 블루투스 헤드셋의 주요 사용자 층인 10 대 후반에서 20 대 중반에 속하는 사용자 그룹이며 블루투스 헤드셋으로 변용 가능한 패션 액세서리를 선정하고 선정한 액세서리를 블루투스 핸즈프리 헤드셋으로 가정하여 사용시의 그들의 사용 포즈를 분석하는 방법을 통해 주사용자 층의 사용행태를 예측하고자 하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 블루투스 헤드셋 개발팀내의 기획자, 기술자, 디자이너들이 제품의 개발 방향에 대한 아이디어 공유를 위하여 Macromedia Flash 를 사용하여 인터랙티브 스토리텔링으로 제작하여 디자인을 위한 보조 툴로 제안하였다. 본 연구는 블루투스 핸즈프리 헤드셋과 같이 사용자의 새로운 요구와 사용성이 기대되는 제품 UI 디자인을 위해서는 사용자의 미래 요구사항을 예측 할 수 있는 방법이 필요하다는 배경에서 시작되었으며, 블루투스 핸즈프리 헤드셋의 사용자의 요구 파악 및 예측을 위한 방법으로 제품과 사용자의 사용 포즈를 연계하여 분석하는 방법을 제안하였다.

  • In this paper, we describe the implementation of Bluetooth headset. Bluetooth headset sets up link using ACL connection between headset and audio gateway, transfers 64kbps voice using SCO connection. Bluetooth headset implemented in this paper is designed with no HCI, so all protocol stack is implemented in Bluetooth module. We verify the upper layer protocol and application program using C-language modeling on Unix environment.

  • This paper presents the implementation of the bluetooth headset and the audio gateway connected to the mobile Phone in the embedded environment. The bluetooth module includes the BC02 processor chip, the BCSP02 firmware and the bluelab software Including bluetooth protocol stack. The above components in the bluetooth module developed at CSR company are used as the development environment. The application program using API functions supported by bluelab is coded by C language and loaded on the flash ROM of the bluetooth module. The cail processing capacity measuring the call setup time and the clearing time between the audio gateway and the headset is considered as the performance parameter of the developed systems. As a call setup and clearing time between the audio gateway and the headset is about 88.8ms, the call processing capacity is about 11 calls per second. Therefore the performance result is satisfied in the aspect of the call processing time.

  • The Bluetooth wireless technology is the new short-range RF transmission standard for low-power, low-cost, short-range radio links between mobile devices and electric product. The technology can eliminate the confusion of cables, connectors and protocols confounding communications between devices. Mobile phones, pagers, laptops, PDAs, digital cameras and more, all now have a common structure for communicating across their product platforms. In this paper, we present the Bluetooth protocol stack and headset profiles for the communication between mobile phone and headset. And then, we construct application software which is embedded in the device that operates an application over the Bluetooth protocol stack Next we implement wireless headset using MSP430, not real time operating system.

Study on Sound Quality Improvement in Bluetooth Headset (블루투스 헤드셋에서의 음질 향상에 관한 연구 - 개인 청각손실 방지측면 고려 -)

  • Todays, many young people suffer from noise-induced hearing loss by using wearable hearing devices, such as Bluetooth headset. This paper present hearing loss reduction and more natural volumn control algorithms considering individual hearing characteristics and threshold of feeling for Bluetooth headset. Experimental results using CSR Bluetooth headset example design board(DEV-PC-1645) show that individuals maybe able to perceive without the inconvenience at the less sound intensity and the more sensitive frequency bands. As a result, we may prevent hearing loss to reduce excessive sound energy in each frequency bands.

  • Bluetooth technology has been applied to mobile device, personal computers, peripherals, information and variety of consumer electronics. Not also the original Bluetooth technology must be especially focused in the application of mobile phone but applications such as wireless headsets and dial-up networking may be increased. However Bluetooth is so only focused to wireless headset application that the various software applications are presently ignored. In this paper, we propose the framework design to implement Bluetooth profile for kiosk servers, which can be used in Theater, train station, bank, government and public offices. Then mobile devices capable of processing user's input/output can be remotely accessed in these servers by using Bluetooth module and AP, although Kiosk servers are only processed user input data.

  • In addition to wired communication technology, wireless communication technology has had communication revolution nowadays. Bluethooth technology carries out data/voice communication within pico-net. Nowadays the various services are supported by access network connected to public network. This paper presents implementation of bluetooth protocol analyser which simulates bluetooth protocol. MS window98 and visual C are used for development environment and application program is operated over the firmware loaded on the bluetooth device connected to the PC through UART which of the maximum transmission rate is 115kbps because transmission rate less than 20kbps affects rarely the performance. The performance analysis on the propose system is carried out as simulating the signalling information for the voice test and the traffics between two bluetooth systems for file transfer. The throughput analysis for file transfer service and call processing capacity for voice service are considered as performance analysis parameters. File access time is very important parameter and throughput is 13 kbps in case breakpoint time to file access is 0.04sec. Also call processing time is about 16.6ms in case of communication with the headset. The performance analysis of simulation results satisfies with bluetooth device development.

  • 블루투스는 본래 이동전화 핸드셋, 헤드셋, 그리고 휴대형 컴퓨터와 같은 장치를 연결하는 케이블을 제거하기 위해 개발된 것으로 저가, 저 전력, 단거리의 무선 기술이다. 그러나 전자 제품간에 표준화된 무선 통신이 가능하게 됨으로 인하여 블루투스는 휴대전화나 PDA, 노트북 PC 와 같은 모바일 기기에 부착되어 무선 ad-hoc 네트워크를 구성할 수 있게 되었다. 블루투스는 시분할 다중화 시스템(TDM) 방식으로 최대 8 개의 블루투스 기기가 모여 하나의 채널을 공유하는 '피코넷(piconet)' 을 형성할 수 있고 여러 개의 피코넷을 연결하여 '스캐터넷(scatternet)' 이라는 더 큰 네트워크를 구성할 수 있다. 이러한 블루투스 네트워크에서 기존의 브로드캐스트 서비스는 단순한 재전송 방식으로 인해 신뢰성과 효율성에 있어서 많은 문제점을 안고 있으며 블루투스의 특징을 고려하지 못하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 블루투스 네트워크에서 브로드캐스트 패킷의 수신을 보장하면서 대역폭을 효율적으로 사용하는 브로드캐스트 패킷 전송 기법을 제시하고자 한다.

The Android-based Bluetooth Device Application Design and Implementation (안드로이드 기반의 블루투스 디바이스 응용 설계 및 구현)

  • Today, although most bluetooth hands-free devices within a vehicle provide telephone service functions such as voice communication, caller id display and SMS message display and so on, they do not provide a function that displays Internet-based text data. We need to develop a scheme that displays the internet-based text data including existing hands-free function because the request for using the Internet service is increasing within a vehicle recently. The proposed bluetooth device application includes advanced function such as SNS message arrival notification, the message display function and we chose Android as the implementation mobile platform giving consideration to the fact that most SNS applications operate on Android and the platform is easily embedded into small embedded device. Smartphone or tablet PC connected with the proposed bluetooth device is an Android-based device and we designed a form of Android app for the function implementation of the devices. When the audio-text gateway app receives SNS text data, it extracts title and sender information from the message header information in a form of text data and sends them via ACL (Asynchronous Connection-Oriented) link to the bluetooth device showing the data on the screen. Android-based bluetooth devices are not possible to play voice through speaker because the bluetooth hands-free or headset profile ported within Android platform normally only includes audio gateway's function. The proposed bluetooth device application, therefore, applies the streaming scheme that sends data via ACL link instead of the way that sending them via SCO (Synchronous Connection-Oriented) link.
