  • Brick toys, once regarded as one of the most basic formative equipments, have succeeded in increasing user base and more experiments have been made to link with a variety of areas in a creative way. However, previous studies on brick were limited to its role as a tool of play and education, which resulted in relatively less number of studies on endless possibility and variability. In this regard, this study examined what made bricks evolve in the unique and advanced form and how it has developed in detail. This study presented information on the basis of theories regarding fundamental features and characteristics of brick and analyzes actual cases in a systematic way. Finally, VR design based on 3D-brick system was implemented.

  • We have investigated the effect of student-generated rubrics on learning motivation and achievement in performance evaluation of computer class. We studied the related previous researches and developed the procedure for performance evaluation using student-generated rubrics. According to thc developed procedure, the performance evaluation has been carried. Students have more clear understanding of their assignments and rubrics during the negotiation process. Student generated rubric has a positive effect on learning motivation and achievement.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a narrative analytic scoring rubric through teacher-students negotiations, as an assessment of tasks using methods of experiment and practice for home economic(HE) in the middle school. In this study. an analytic rubric had been developed in the following three stages: In the first stage, all the things for rubric development were defined and prepared, by selecting tasks used for rubric application through a questionnaire survey, providing detailed directions on methods and procedures and needed items, and selecting a class for rubric negotiation and setting the development schedule. In addition, the method suggested by Ainsworth and Christinson(1998) in Student Generated Rubrics was used. In the second stage, performance criteria for tasks in terms of knowledge, skills, and attitude were developed, setting scoring framework and scales depending on assessment areas. Referring to selected scoring framework and assessment criteria, observable and assessable behaviors were used to describe rubric based on A, B, and C scale. Then, a primary rubric was developed through teacher-students negotiations, using rubrics made by group. In the last stage, the developed primary rubric was reviewed by an expert of HE education to test the validity. Moreover, the analysis to test the suitability of the final rubric assessment tool employed 46 copies of questionnaire collected from incumbent home economics teachers selected by way of random sampling mainly focusing on those teachers who were in the Master's degree program or completed the program at one university. As a result, the average of suitability of aa the rubrics were over 4.0 in th 5-point scale.

  • In terms of the product conforming to a social value of integration of digital and design, the importance of brick toys aiming at the convergence with digital technology in various ways has increased on the strength of expanded base of users and in pursuit of design innovation. Given that previous studies on bricks centered on the role as a tool of flay and education, it is true that studies on other indefinite potentials and expandability in light of multimedia have not been conducted. This study was initiated with a question how the brick system toys, which is gradually gaining popularity, has evolved and is aimed at examining the status of evolvement through study of basic theories and analysis of examples. Based on this, it is intended to explore the possibility of the digital brick system by executing design process utilizing examples of comprehensive brick system with expanded form.

  • 디지털 테크놀로지의 비약적인 발전으로 우리는 연령과 계층을 막론하고 실생활 측면에서 사용자 환경의 변화, 디자인 시각의 변화 등 많은 변화의 사례들을 인지할 수 있다. 그 중에서도 최근 유아들의 전유물이었던 완구 시장이 학생, 성인들 대상으로 마케팅이 확장되면서 기존에 없었던 보다 지능적인 시스템과 다양한 콘텐츠를 보유하고 혁신적인 인터페이스를 갖춘 디지털 인텔리전트 브릭(Digital Intelligent Brick)완구가 시장을 빠르게 확대해 나가고 있다. 이처럼 아날로그 브릭에서 디지털 브릭으로의 새로운 변화를 주도한 대표적인 예로는 MIT와 공동연구로 개발된 로보틱스 인벤션 시스템(Robotics Invention System)인 레고(Lego)의 '마인드스톰'을 들 수 있다. 인텔리전트 브릭 시스템 완구는 Stud와 Tube의 Elements로 이루어진 기본적이고 반복적인 재료의 속성에서 시스템의 무한한 가변성과 사용자의 다양한 조건에 맞춘 인터페이스를 적용함으로써 창의적 결과물로의 확장성을 나타내고 있다. 본 연구에서는 디지털 테크놀로지를 기반으로 한 사용자중심 콘텐츠 속성을 지닌 인텔리전트 브릭 시스템에서의 시스템 구조 가변성 및 인터페이스 디자인의 확장성, 그리고 사용자 인터랙션 측면에 관하여 분석해 보고자 한다. 이를 토대로 인텔리전트 브릭 시스템이 향후 디지털 디자인 산업의 다양한 측면에서 보다 적극적으로 활용될 수 있는 기초를 제시하는 데 본 연구의 목적이 있다고 할 것이다.

Effect of Instruction for the Learner-Involved Development of Analytical Rubrics on the Learning Motivation of Middle School Students: Focusing on the unit of 'Housing' (학습자 참여 분석적 루브릭(rubric) 개발 수업이 중학생의 학습동기에 미치는 영향 - 주생활 단원을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of instruction for the development of analytical rubrics based on teacher-student compromise, which would be applied to performance assessment about the ninth-grade housing unit of the 7th national curriculum. In order to find out the influence of the rubric development instruction on learning motivation, two different third-year classes in a middle school were selected respectively as an experimental group and a control group. The way of presenting the rubrics and learning motivation were respectively selected as independent and dependent variables. Both groups took two lessons and a pretest-posttest on learning motivation. As for the analytic rubric for the individual task performance in the housing unit, three evaluation items were selected. As a result, the instruction for the learner-involved development of analytical rubrics for the housing segment had a positive effect on the confidence and satisfaction of the middle schoolers, which were two out of four sub-factors of learning motivation. Open-ended questions showed that the instruction got to build confidence in the course of being aware of the evaluation criteria and fulfilling the given tasks.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a goal-directed rubrics for a adult nursing education and to evaluate this rubric's effects on academic achievement of nursing students. A total of 154 nursing students participated in this study. The data were analyzed by t-test, $x^2$-test with SPSS win 20.0 program. Rubrics in adult nursing education was to improve the academic achievement. With this result, the rubrics development of nursing education in a variety of areas and would have to be evaluated.
