Impact of Satisfaction about Service Quality on Store Loyalty: A Comparative Study of the International Brand and the Domestic Brand of Fast Food Franchise in Korea (서비스품질에 대한 만족이 점포충성도에 미치는 영향: 국내외 패스트푸드 브랜드간 비교연구)

  • This study was conducted to identify the differences In Customers' satisfaction about service quality between the largest Korean fast food franchise and the largest American Fast food franchise in Korea. And this study was performed to identify the critical service factors influencing the store loyalty of fast food franchise in Korea. The results of this study show that the American fast food franchise is doing better performances in service factors than the Korean fast food franchise. And the value of food and service is identified as the most critical factor for the store loyalty of the fast food franchise in Korea.

The Brand Love-Loyalty Link of Korean Cosmetics in China: The Moderated Moderation Effects of Hedonic/Utilitarian Shopping Value and Gender Difference (중국시장에서 한국화장품의 브랜드 사랑과 충성도의 관계: 쾌락적/실용적 쇼핑 가치와 성별차이의 조절적 조절효과)

  • Although brand love is a major interest in global business, very little is known about how the effects of brand love are affected by relevant constructs. This study examines how the brand love-loyalty link is moderated by shopping value (hedonic vs. utilitarian) and how the moderated moderation effect of gender difference influences the consumer-brand relationship. Based on a unique dataset of 254 Chinese consumers of Korean cosmetic brands in China, we tested our proposed hypotheses using Regression PROCESS macro (model = 3). One of our novel findings is that brand love has a positive influence on brand loyalty. However, this relationship is sensitive to moderators. Regarding the brand love-loyalty linkage, consumers who seek hedonic shopping value is higher than consumers who seek utilitarian shopping value. In particular, female consumers are more passionate and loyal than male consumers. Finally, male consumers seeking hedonic shopping value feature greater brand love-loyal linkage than other consumers; however, this effect is very limited.

  • When a customer chooses a coffee shop, different factors can influence his/her purchase. These factors can include tangible as well as intangible elements such as the coffee shop's atmosphere, layout, and interior. Thus, many coffee brands strive to serve not only a diverse menu, but also a unique quality of environment. This study aimed to investigate the influence of physical environment on customer satisfaction and loyalty in the coffee shop and evaluate the influential power of the physical environment factors using hierarchical regression analysis. Data was collected from customers of coffee shops in Texas, the U.S. The study found that the coffee shops' physical environment influenced the customer's satisfaction and loyalty. Particularly, the coffee shop's physical environment including ambient and interior design greatly influenced the customers' satisfaction. However, a broad range of physical environment factors such as temperature, aroma, lighting, color, and interior furnishings should be provided to increase the customer loyalty. The results may have a broader application to provide effective managerial and marketing information to Korean coffee entrepreneur brand in the U.S. and beyond.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the moderating effect of emotional bond in the effect of the congruence of self-image and the team's loyalty to professional baseball spectators, to enhance the effectiveness of emotional bond between the club and the spectator, and to suggest implications for establishing the club's brand marketing strategy. For this purpose, a survey was conducted on 500 professional baseball spectators, and the results of correlation analysis, stepwise regression analysis and hierarchical regression analysis using SPSS 21.0 based on 450 collected data are as follows. First, among the professional baseball spectators and the team's self-image, the realistic self-image factor had a significant effect on the club's loyalty. Second, it was confirmed that the congruence of realistic self-image moderated the effect of congruence of realistic self-image on club loyalty. This result shows that the formation of emotional bond has no influence on the congruence of ideal self-image and is related to the realistic self-image that the club is showing at present. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a marketing strategy that can highlight this effect by considering these points.

  • This study was conducted to examine differences in the relationship between experiential variables and outcome variables of experiential variables. In this regard, this research tries to construct the items based on past researches and to suggest the problems of the items of past researches. The analysis of various aspects of experiential variables and the validation tests of some models are presented to suggest what the optimal model is and the following suggestions can be made. First, respondents may not feel that the three dimensions of sensation, emotion, and cognition are significantly different. Depending on the respondents, there is a possibility that they may not be able to perceive much of the linguistic difference. The results of this study are summarized as follows. From this point of view, this study suggest that it would be suitable to proceed with the thesis with the experience of simplifying the combination of the five experiences in some combination. Second, there is a correlation between experiential variables, and the effect on outcome variables may vary from one variable to another. And, when there are two outcome variables, assuming a model that affects only the first outcome variable among the experience variables, it is the most suitable model in relation to the performance variable of experience.

Study on the Place Image Factors for Place Branding of Public Libraries (공공도서관의 장소브랜딩을 위한 장소이미지요인에 관한 연구)

  • This study generated primary data for supporting the place branding as a part of the library advertising and marketing strategies to increase public library visits. The literature review enabled the use of the place branding concepts to discover the relationships among the constituent parts, factors, expected outcomes, and loyalty, then to develop the research model and the hypothesis, which were verified using the Structural Equation Model. There were 34 research hypotheses, of which 21 were adopted. The place image factors such as library reliability, library reciprocity, and library safety were found to be significant. This study derived social contribution value as new place value and place image factors as the potential brand image of public libraries. It helped select the place image factors that best fit the local library's core values (i.e., place value). This study is meaningful because it is a fundamental study to introduce place branding in public libraries as an advertising and marketing strategy. And it is expected that public libraries will grow into high-quality brands with high awareness, loyalty, and secure leadership in the local community.

  • 정보화의 발전에 비례하여 정보보호의 중요성도 높아지고 있다. 최근까지 정보보호에 대한 관심과 주요 연구의 흐름은 기술적인 보호조치(예: 암호화, 접근제어, 방화벽 등)와 관리적 관점의 행동연구였다. 최근에 들어서야 국내외적으로 정보보호 투자효과에 대한 연구가 활성화되기 시작했다. 정보보호 투자효과에 대한 계량적 산정이 필요한 이유는 정보보호의 중요성을 정확하게 인식할 수 있어 적정규모의 예산을 책정하고 효율적으로 예산을 투입할 수 있는 기초를 마련할 수 있기 때문이다. 정보보호 투자효과를 측정하기 위한 선행연구로 보안사고의 피해규모를 산정하는 연구가 필수적이다. 보안사고의 피해규모는 가시적 손실(피해복구, 생산성 저하, 손해배상 등)과, 비가시적 손실(고객 충성도 저하, 회사의 브랜드 이미지 하락 등) 규모의 합으로 구성된다. 그 동안 가시적 손실규모 측정에 관한 연구는 상대적으로 많았으나, 비가시적 손실규모 측정에 관한 연구는 상대적으로 미흡하였던 것이 사실이다. 이는 현실적으로 비가시적 손실규모를 측정할 수 있는 접근방법을 고안해내는 것이 어려웠기 때문이다. 이로 인해 막연히 비가시적 손실규모가 가시적 손실규모에 비해 대단히 클 것이라고 짐작해 올 수 밖에 없었다. 본 논문에서는 보안사고의 비가시적 손실규모를 측정하기 위해 대규모 개인정보 보안 사고가 발생한 기업의 매출액 증가율을 경쟁기업과 분석하는 연구방법을 제안한다. 매출액은 영업이익 및 순이익과는 달리 회사 내부적인 회계방침에 의해 규모의 조절이 불가능한 재무요소이면서 회사가 고객 충성도 저하와 회사의 브랜드 이미지 하락으로 인해 받게 되는 영향을 가장 정확하게 반영하는 재무요소이기도 하다. 연구방법에 따라 2008년 대규모 개인정보 보안사고가 발생한 국내기업을 선정하고 그 경쟁사와 매출액 변화추이를 비교 분석하였다. 분석결과 보안사고가 발생한 기업의 평균 매출액 증가율이 경쟁사 평균 매출액 증가율 보다 0.0225% 높다는 사실을 발견했다. 이 결과는 국내의 보안 사고가 기업 가치에 미치는 비가시적 영향이 거의 없거나 또는 발생하더라도 그 영향력이 미미하여 가격정책 및 광고 홍보를 통해 충분히 극복할 수 있다는 점을 대변한다. 본 논문의 결과는 역설적으로 국내 보안사고의 피해규모를 측정하는데 있어 가시적 손실규모의 정확한 측정이 무엇보다 중요함을 의미한다.

Impact of customer experience characteristics on perceived value and revisit intention: Focusing on offline home appliance stores (고객체험특성이 지각된 가치와 재방문 의도에 미치는 영향: 가전 오프라인 매장을 중심으로)

  • This research studied the effect of customer experience characteristics in offline home appliance stores on perceived value and revisit intention. Among the offline distribution of home appliances with more than 100 stores nationwide, two home appliance retailers (HiMart, E-Land), three hypermarkets (E-Mart, Homeplus, Lotte Hi-Mart), and two home appliance stores (LG Best Shop, Samsung Digital Plaza) were selected, and a survey was conducted on men and women in their 20s or older in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon who had visited and purchased the home appliance store within the last 6 months. As a result of the survey, a statistical analysis was conducted on a total of 330 samples using the PLS (Partial Least Squares) structural equation model and SPSS statistical package. Through this study, the following research results can be obtained. First, educational experience, deviant experience, and aesthetic experience had a positive (+) effect on the functional value. However, entertainment experience did not affect functional value. Second, educational experience, deviant experience, and aesthetic experience all had a positive (+) effect on emotional value. Third, both functional and sensory values had a positive (+) effect on the revisit intention. Fourth, it was confirmed that brand loyalty had no moderating effect between functional value and sensory value revisit intention. The results of this study show the structural relationship between customer experience characteristics, perceived value (functional value, sensory value), and revisit intention. This result provides guidelines on what activities home appliance offline stores should do at a time when online channels threaten the survival of offline channels.

The influence of consumers' personality types on perceived risk to loyalty and purchase intentions - Focusing on the judging and perceiving types of MBTI - (소비자의 성격유형별 위험지각이 충성도 및 구매의도에 미치는 영향 - MBTI의 판단유형과 인식유형을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of the study was to compare two different MBTI personality types by evaluating the influence of perceived risk on brand and store loyalty and purchase intention. 340 questionnaires were used for the analysis. For statistical analysis, SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 20.0 were performed, and frequency tests, reliability analyses and Structural Equation Modeling were used. The results of SEM analysis, confirmed that one question of brand loyalty and one question of store loyalty were inappropriate for this study. Thus, these two questions were removed and the research model was modified. To determine the goodness of fit of the research model, convergent validity was tested. Most items fell into the goodness of fit, and the average coefficient was fulfilled. According to the results of a path coefficient analysis for the Judging type, perceived risk has a significant influence on brand loyalty and brand loyalty also affected store loyalty. Furthermore, brand loyalty and store loyalty have a significant effect on purchase intentions, but perceived risk did not affect brand loyalty for the Perceiving type. Brand loyalty influences store loyalty and purchase intentions, but store loyalty did not influence purchase intentions. As a result of this study, it is concluded that considering consumers' personality types is critical to developing strategies that enhance brand loyalty.
