  • This study explores ways in which Korean companies manage a brand to become a long-run success. In particular, this study focuses on Chamisul, analyzing its marketing strategy, examining its brand life-cycle in terms of introduction, growth, and renewal. Chamisul, first introduced in 1998, has occupied the Korean liquor market as a leading brand for almost a decade. Chamisul's long-run success, in fact, depends upon a number of reasons; first, it has consistently and continuously keeps its own core brand concept and identity. Second, it has built its brand asset by strengthening its emotional ties with customers. The emotional connection that Chamisul has built is based upon the trust between the company who produces the product and the customers who recognize the benefit of drinking Chamisul. Third, the company creates various brand differentiation programs, thereby allowing its customer to get familier with the brand. Finally, the company sets up a clear management standard in Korean liquar market in order to maintain the vitality of the brand, managing Chamisul in accordance with the standard. Seen in this light, Chamisul's success reflects the marketing activities and strategies that play a fundamental role in creating and maintaining a long-run brand. Similarly, its success can be seen to be a model for brand management, telling us how to become a market leader through an effective brand management.

  • This study focused on analyzing the effects of characteristics of marketing mix on brand image, perception, switching barrier and loyalty of authorized dealers in the Korean CCTV converging channels. This study formulated a structural equational model, in which characteristics of marketing mix was adapted as an exogenous variable and in which brand image, perception of authorized dealer, switching barrier were included as mediator variables, having influences to the endogenous variable such as loyalty of authorized dealers. In this study, 8 hypotheses were formulated, on which this research models were based, in order to test the significance of mediator effects, suggested in the previous articles, that having high significance. This study collected the effective questionnaires of 191 respondents who were the authorized dealers in nationwide and then analyzed with AMOS20 and SPSS20 to test the hypotheses. This study concluded as follows: Product and price in marketing mix had a significant effect on the brand image but only advertising had some effects on the perception of providing parties.

The Influences of SMEs' Market Orientation and Brand Orientation on Firm Capabilities and Performance in Export Markets (수출중소기업의 시장지향성과 브랜드지향성이 기업역량 및 수출성과에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined the casual relationships among SMEs' market orientation, brand orientation, firm capabilities-technology and marketing capabilities, competitive advantage and financial performance in export markets based on the resource-based view. The data were collected from 286 cases of exporting SMEs. The results of path analysis indicated that market orientation of exporting SMEs increased technology and marketing capabilities. Market orientation directly increased both competitive advantage and financial performance in export markets. Brand orientation influenced technological capability and had indirect effects on both competitive advantage and financial performance through the firm capabilities. Based on the results, managerial implications and future research directions for exporting SMEs were provided.

  • Today, consumers are interested in branded apps as new marketing channels. Consumers do not have ready access to information that will enable them to judge the quality of a particular product or service before purchase, but they will gain such information with branded apps. As they need to be actively chosen and downloaded to users' smartphone by the users themselves, branded apps have greater marketing effectiveness and influence than traditional channels. Therefore, corporations that place emphasis on interactions with customers anticipate a new marketing effect with their branded apps. With previous research on smartphone applications as a background, this research finds key factors in branded apps that influence users' satisfaction. Additionally, the study centers on the relationship in which satisfaction in the branded app significantly influences the purchase intention for the branded product/service.

  • 21세기 정보화 사회로 진입하면서 인터넷 사용이 급속히 증가함에 따라 패션 기업들도 마케팅 차원에서 브랜드 쉽 사이트를 구축하고 브랜드 이미지와 상품에 대한 정보를 제공하고 있다. 그러므로 브랜드 이미지가 중요한 패션 기업의 경우 현재 웹 사이트에 구축된 브랜드 컨셉트가 평상시의 컨셉트와 동일하게 인지되고 있는가에 대해 연구하는 것은 일관된 브랜드 이미지를 관리하는데 중요하다고 하겠다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국내외 12개 패션 브랜드를 대상으로 평상시와 웹 사이트에서의 브랜드 컨셉트에 대한 인지도를 조사하여 평상시와 웹 사이트에서 동일한 브랜드 컨셉트를 유지할 수 있는 방법을 제안하고자 하였다.

  • This study is to investigate a case study how effect of brand success upon purchase satisfaction and brand loyalty in co-brand of agriculture goods, that is GOODTRAE in korea. specifically this study conceptualizes that brand success factors affect satisfaction which try to buy a specific brand agricultural product. and that purchase satisfaction to GOODTRAE influence brand loyalty which leads to customer relationship management. In these brand success factors and brand loyalty relationship, purchase satisfaction of brand would have the mediating role. In the empirical analysis, we found that marketing, market environment, product, interorganizational cooperation, technology capability of brand success factors would affect purchase satisfaction of brand. Hypothesis what is left is not supported. I verified the assumption that brand purchase satisfaction of agriculture would affect consumer's loyalty and the result supported that assumption of it. and we found that market environment, consumer's factors, employee's & CEO's commitment, interorganizational cooperation, and technology capability of brand success factors would influence brand loyalty.

  • 본 연구는 의류점포의 고객과 숍 매니저 사이의 관계를 보다 포괄적인 관점에서 심층적으로 이해함으로써 대 고객 관계마케팅에서의 우위를 점하기 위한 전략도출에 기여하고자 하는 목적에서 이루어졌다. 이를 위해 백화점에 입점해 있는 디자이너 브랜드와 캐릭터 브랜드 의류점포 각 4곳의 고객 9명과 숍 매니저 8명에 대한 문화기술적 면접과 이들 점포에 대한 참여 관찰을 통한 질적 연구가 2000년 5월부터 8월말까지 행해졌다. 연구 결과에 대한 내용분석에 따르면 브랜드군 간에는 관련변인이나 관계 형성 과정 등 장기적 관계 형성 메커니즘에 차이가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 또 관계에 대한 관점에 따라 추구이점이 다름으로써 관계에 대한 관여 수준, 관계의 질, 관계지속기 간, 신뢰에 대한 관점에 차이가 발생하는 것으로 나타났는데 관계에의 관점과 추구이점의 차이는 가격의 차이에서 연유하는 것으로 보인다. 따라서 제품수준에 따라서 상이 한 접근방법이 요구된다. 한편 패션상품의 특성으로 하여 의류의 경우에는 고정고객 유지 뿐 아니라 신규고객 창출이 중요하기 때문에 기존의 관계 마케팅과는 다른 접근방법이 요구된다.

  • The purpose of this study was to observe brand awareness and to research brand image in on line and off line market of casual wear. This study was to observe consumer's seeking image also. The 600 reliable questionnaires were used for statistical analysis. A SAS statistical package including frequency table, Chi-square test was used. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Online research group and offline group had an association in brand awareness. 2. Consumers perceived natural, simple and comfortable image from Giodano brand. 3. The most favorite brand by online and offline group was Polo. The reason for their favorite brands were style > design > color in order. 4. Consumer sought simple, comfortable image in wearing a casual wear.

  • Brand community refers to a group of consumers who are passionate about the brand, and actively participate in enhancing the brand value. This study examines the impact of brand community experience on brand satisfaction, brand trust, and brand value co-creation, focusing on BTS's fan community, 'ARMY'. The results show that the value of aesthetic sensitivity, self-consistency, and intellectual fulfillment, obtained through brand community experiences, had a positive impact on brand satisfaction and brand trust, and brand value co-creation. The implications of this study are as follows: First, rather than company-centered traditional marketing campaign strategies, future brand marketing strategies should focus on nurturing brand communities through which encourage emotional communication and solidarity between consumers and companies. Second, in order to enhance brand community experiences, it is necessary to provide various opportunities to satisfy customers' intellectual curiosity and self-consistency as well as sensory stimuli related to the brand.

  • This thesis suggested that the 'customized' marketing would be a new strategy in terms of a marketing in the digital media age under the circumstances where a form of marketing was evolving in accordance with the convergence of digital media. Because of the media environment due to an 'individualization', the strategy would meet an individual demand of a consumer in a rapidly changing environment. The best marketing to capture a 'customer's heart' is not a brand that first entered the market, but the one that is first settled in a customer's heart. If a differentiated interactive marketing strategy is equipped, it is possible to capture a completely new market space ad create a profit over several years. In the aspect of an effect of a digital marketing, first, a concept relating to an interaction between a consumer and a producer is important. Secondly, the important one is an empathy marketing which is an emotional marketing through a brand image beyond a product. Thirdly, the author studied an orally transmitted marketing effect through digital media.
