  • In this work, the influence of thermal treatment on surface properties of silicas and mechanical interfacial properties of silicas/polyurethane composites was investigated. The surface properties of thermally treated silicas were studied in the context of Fourier Transform-IR (FT-IR), solid-state 29Si NMR spectroscopy, and contact angle. And the mechanical interfacial properties of the silica/polyurethane composites were evaluated by composite tearing energy (GIIIC). As a result, it was found that the thermally treated silica surfaces became hydrophobic in nature, due to the condensation of surface hydroxyls and the formation of siloxane bonds, resulting in increasing the London dispersive component of surface free energy. From which, the increase of the London dispersive component of the silicas led to an improvement of the dispersion of silicas in a polyurethane matrix, finally resulting in improving the tearing energy (GIIIC) of the silicas/polyurethane composites.

Effect of Temperature and Surfactant on Crystallization of Al-Based Metallic Glass during Pulverization (분쇄 공정의 온도와 분산제 사용이 알루미늄계 금속유리의 결정화에 미치는 영향)

  • In this study, crystallization was effectively suppressed in Al-based metallic glasses (Al-MGs) during pulverization by cryo-milling by applying an extremely low processing temperature and using a surfactant. Before Al-MGs can be used as an additive in Ag paste for solar cells, the particle sizes of the Al-MGs must be reduced by milling. However, during the ball milling process crystallization of the Al-MG is a problem. Once the Al-MG is crystallized, they no longer exhibit glass-like behavior, such as thermoplastic deformation, which is critical to decrease the electrical resistance of the Ag electrode. The main reason for crystallization during the ball milling process is the heat generated by collisions between the particles and the balls, or between the particles. Once the heat reaches the crystallization temperature of the Al-MGs, they start crystallization. Another reason for the crystallization is agglomeration of the particles. If the initially fed particles become severely agglomerated, they coalesce instead of being pulverized during the milling. The coalesced particles experience more collisions and finally crystallize. In this study, the heat generated during milling was suppressed by using cryo-milling with liquid-nitrogen, which was regularly fed into the milling jar. Also, the MG powders were dispersed using a surfactant before milling, so that the problem of agglomeration was resolved. Cryo-milling with the surfactant led to D50 = 10 um after 6 h milling, and we finally achieved a specific contact resistance of 0.22 mΩcm2 and electrical resistivity of 2.81 μΩcm using the milled MG particles.

  • The Clustering technology of Energy efficiency wireless sensor network gets the energy efficiency by reducing the number of communication between sensor nodes and sink node. In this paper, First analyzed on the clustering technique of the distributed clustering protocol routing scheme LEACH (Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy) and HEED (Hybrid, Energy-Efficient Distributed Clustering Approach), and based on this, new energy-efficient clustering technique is proposed for the cause the maximum delay of dead nodes and to increase the lifetime of the network. In the proposed method, the cluster head is elect the optimal efficiency node based on the residual energy information of each member node and located information between sink node and cluster node, and elected a node in the cluster head since the data transfer process from the data been sent to the sink node to form a network by sending the energy consumption of individual nodes evenly to increase the network's entire life is the purpose of this study. To verify the performance of the proposed method through simulation and compared with existing clustering techniques. As a result, compared to the existing method of the network life cycle is approximately 5-10% improvement could be confirmed.

On Generating Backbone Based on Energy and Connectivity for WSNs (무선 센서네트워크에서 노드의 에너지와 연결성을 고려한 클러스터 기반의 백본 생성 알고리즘)

  • Routing through a backbone, which is responsible for performing and managing multipoint communication, reduces the communication overhead and overall energy consumption in wireless sensor networks. However, the backbone nodes will need extra functionality and therefore consume more energy compared to the other nodes. The power consumption imbalance among sensor nodes may cause a network partition and failures where the transmission from some sensors to the sink node could be blocked. Hence optimal construction of the backbone is one of the pivotal problems in sensor network applications and can drastically affect the network's communication energy dissipation. In this paper a distributed algorithm is proposed to generate backbone trees through robust multi-hop clusters in wireless sensor networks. The main objective is to form a properly designed backbone through multi-hop clusters by considering energy level and degree of each node. Our improved cluster head selection method ensures that energy is consumed evenly among the nodes in the network, thereby increasing the network lifetime. Comprehensive computer simulations have indicated that the newly proposed scheme gives approximately 10.36% and 24.05% improvements in the performances related to the residual energy level and the degree of the cluster heads respectively and also prolongs the network lifetime.

FEC design with low complexity and efficient structure for DAB system (DAB 시스템에서 낮은 복잡도와 효율적인 구조를 갖는 FEC 설계)

  • 본 논문에서는 DAB 시스템에서 사용하는 FEC(Forward Error Correction) 블록을 하드웨어 크기를 고려하여 효율적인 구조를 갖도록 설계하였다. DAB 시스템의 FEC 블록은 크게 스크램블러(에너지분산), 리드-솔로몬 코더, 길쌈 인터리버로 구성된다. RS 디코더 블록 중 키 방정식을 계산해 내는 블록과 길쌈 인터리버가 차지하는 하드웨어 비중은 굉장히 크다. 본 논문에서는 스크램블러 부분에서 데이터의 시작을 알려주는 신호의 효율적인 검출기법을 제안하고, 리드-솔로몬 디코더 블록의 수정 유클리드 알고리즘을 효율적인 하드웨어로 구현하기 위한 새로운 구조와 길쌈 인터리버에서 최적의 메모리 구조를 효과적인 구조를 제안한다. 제안한 구조에서는 단지 8개의 GF 곱셈기와 4개의 덧셈기만을 가지고 RS 디코더의 수정 유클리드 알고리즘을 구현하였으며, 2 RAM(128)과 4 RAM(256)을 가지고 컨벌루셔널 인터리버를 구현하였다. 제안한 구조로 설계했을 경우 디코더 블록이 Altera-FPGA 칩(FLEX10K)에 모두 들어갈 수 있었다.

  • 분리막법이 기체 분리에 응용된후 에너지 소비의 절감, 열안정성 등과 같은 장점들로 인해 수소회수 및 $H_2/CO_2$의 비율조정, $CH_4/CO_2$ 분리, $O_2/N_2$의 분리 등에 이용되고 있다. 이러한 분리막의 특성은 투과도와 선택투과도에 의해 결정되어지는데, 이들은 서로 상반된 경향을 나타낸다. 즉 투과도가 높으면 선택투과도는 낮아지고, 선택투과도가 높으면 투과도는 감소하게 된다. 그러나 이러한 두가지 특성 모두를 높이기 위한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있는데, 그 연구방향은 새로운 고분자의 합성 및 고분자의 개질, 복합재료의 개발, 액정, 촉진수송법 등으로 나눠질 수 있다. 이중 촉진수송이란 특정한 기체와 가역적 친화력 혹은 흡착력을 갖는 운반체를 액체 혹은 고체막에 분산시켜 원하는 특정 기체만을 선택적으로 수송하는 것을 말한다.

  • At high frequencies, the statistical approach such as statistical energy analysis(SEA) and energy flow analysis(EFA) has been applied for estimation of vibroacoustic responses of various built-up structures. The energy coupling relationship between finite coupled structures is required to estimate vibrational energetics of built-up structures. Mindlin plate theory includes the rotatory inertia and shear deformation effects which are dominant as frequency increases. In this paper, the wave transmission analysis is successfully performed for EFA of co-planar coupled Mindlin plates.

  • 본고에서는 차세대 스마트 인프라 준거틀로서 '만물지능통신 기반 초연결 인프라' 개념을 제시한다. 동 개념이 대두하게 된 근거 기반으로 기술적 관점에서 스마트 기술혁신과 인프라 혁신 간의 상호관계성, 문명사적 관점에서 정보 교통 에너지 인프라 간의 공진화 과정을 거시적으로 개관한다. 그리고 초연결 클라우드 컴퓨팅, 만물지능통신망과의 선순환 관계에서 기존 인프라의 고도화와 동시에 정전교(情電交) 초연결 인프라의 탄생과 발전 방향을 모색한다. 또한 EU의 중장기 R&D 전략의 공통성과 도출을 위한 분산화된 협업시스템으로 부상하고 있는 SoS(System of Systems) 모델을 초연결 인프라의 프로토타입으로 검토한다. 이러한 작업을 기반으로 '물리적 인프라의 추상화' 그리고 '추상화한 인프라의 현실 세계로의 실체화'라는 관점에서 초연결 인프라로의 재편 메커니즘을 분석하고, 초연결 인프라를 지향한 공통 플랫폼과 그 실현을 위한 기술적 정책적 함의를 도출한다.

  • Drill ship 또는 Semi-rig와 같은 대형 선박의 주요 부하들은 Diesel generator로부터 전력을 공급받게 된다. Generator의 용량은 최대 부하 용량에 의해 설계가 되며, Thruster와 같은 모터부하에 의해 Diesel generator에서 공급해야 하는 용량이 매우 증가하게 된다. 따라서 Thruster의 전원을 적절한 분산전원으로 대체함으로써 Generator의 최대 용량을 줄일 필요성이 있다. 본 논문에서 기존 선박 전력계통에 Thruster의 전원을 공급할 수 있는 Energy storage system (ESS)를 추가하여 Diesel generator의 최대 용량 감소 및 에너지 효율 향상을 전기적 모델을 통하여 검증하고자 한다. 그리고 최종적으로 실시간 모의시험 장치를 통하여 전체적인 선박의 연료 절감 효과를 검증하고자 한다.

  • This paper proposes a stochastic/dynamic routing protocol which aims the minimization of the summation of time average expected power expenditure with buffer stability in mobile ad-hoc 60 GHz wireless networks. By using 60 GHz RF, the wireless devices can transmit/receive 1080p HD video signals without compression. In addition, our algorithm works without centralized controller, so that the distributed operation is available. The novelty of the proposed algorithm was also verified by simulations.
