  • In this study, the static and the dynamic characteristics of the load-sensitive hydraulic pump control systems of a hydraulic excavator were analyzed using the developed analysis tool. The results were compared with the experimental ones. To improve the static performance of the system, the system parameter effects on the controllable region and the pump pressure variation were studied. The parameters enhancing dynamic characteristics were also considered.

  • In this study, the characteristics of the load-sensitive hydraulic control system for closed center type of a wheel loader were analyzed using developed analysis program based on Amesim tool. From the parametric analysis, the effects of each factor were revealed. Through the simulation with varying parameters, the system parameter effects on the controllable region and the pump pressure and load pressure variations were studied. The results were compared with the experimental ones. The results and discussions of the present paper could aid in the design of a load-sensitive hydraulic control system for closed center type.

  • With the recent development of intelligence and automation technologies for construction machinery, the demand for safety and efficiency of road-cutting operations has continued to increase. In response to this, a double-blade road cutter has been developed that can automatically cut roads. However, a double-blade road cutter has a load difference between the two blades due to the ground and wear conditions of the cutting blades. The difference in load between the two blades distorts the direction of travel of the cutter. In this study, a vision sensor-based driving guide technology was developed to correct the driving path of road cutters. In addition, we developed a load-sensing technology that detects blade loads in real-time and controls driving speed in the event of overload.

A Study on Pedestrian Priority Actuated Signal Control Considering Waiting Time for Walking and Pedestrian Stress (보행대기시간과 보행자스트레스를 고려한 보행자우선 감응신호 운영방안 연구)

  • Since the operation of an reft-turn actuated signal driven mainly by vehicles may increase the waiting time for walking, this signal causes inconvenience or stress to pedestrians. Therefore, in this study, the change in waiting time for walking before and after the application of an reft-turn actuated signal and the stress on the pedestrians were investigated through a questionnaire. The investigation showed that the waiting time for walking increased by 37% during non-peak time. Also the waiting time for walking of 62.1% of pedestrians became longer and 78% of them were stressed because of it. Meanwhile, simulation(VISSIM) showed that the vehicle travel speed slightly decreased to 1.07km/h(a 2.5% decrease), and the average waiting time for walking decreased by 15.51sec(a 28% decrease) with a pedestrian priority actuated signal. Therefore, it is expected that the pedestrian priority actuated signal can reduce the waiting time for walking and relieve pedestrian stress.

Preliminary Study on Actuated Signal Control at Rural Area of Cheon-an City (천안시 외곽지역의 감응식 신호운영을 위한 기초연구)

  • Recently in Korea, in the case of metropolis, the urban signalized intersections are controlled by traffic information center or ITS center. Cheon-an City also established traffic information center through the 1st.-$\sim$3rd. ITS public construction and has managed this center that includes bus information service, traffic information collection and providing service, parking information service, and traffic responsive control system. In the Cheon-an metropolitan traffic signal operation, traffic signal controllers were grouped by the each main traffic flow axes and performed with coordinated signal timing for the signalized arterials, and also cycle and split changed by realtime traffic demands. Cheon-an urban traffic responsive control system was evaluated by intersection delay and speed, then it was verified that the delay decreased and vehicle speed improved. However, the rural signal control system to connect adjacency town was evaluated to have lower status than urban area due to the unimproved TOD (Time of day) plan. Therefore actuated signal control was examined for substitutive control system in isolated signal intersection. The aim of this article is to compare actuated signal control with TOD mode in the rural intersection of Cheon-an and to fine superiority of these two control mode, with evaluation of vehicle delay by using HCM(2000) method and by micro-simulation CORSlM. The result of field test show that actuated signal control gave better performance in delay comparison than the existing TOD signal control. And simulation outcome verified that non-optimized TOD has higher delay than optimized TOD mode, non-optimal actuated mode, and optimal actuated signal control mode. Particularly, these three modes delays had not different values according to the paired sample t-test. This is because small traffic demands were loaded in each links. This suggested actuated signal control is expected to be more effective than TOD mode in some rural isolated intersections which frequently need to survey for traffic volume.

A closed loop wireless transmission method adaptive to mobile speed and its performance analysis (이동 속도 감응형 폐순환 무선전송기법 및 성능 분석)

  • A closed loop wireless transmission method adaptive to mobile unit speed is proposed in this paper. A mobile communication node measures the mobile speed based on the transmitted pilot signals through Doppler frequency estimation, and it changes the transmission period of pilot signals as per estimated mobile speed adaptively. The pilot signals with the different transmission periods are transmitted using the different PN sequences with the previous ones without any explicit information about the new period. The corresponding receiver node can detect and extract the transmitted pilot signals through blind search of the transmitted PN sequences of the pilot signals, and it can demodulate and decode the transmitted information using the channel estimation results based on the detected pilot signals. The performance of the proposed method had been analyzed through the simulation under the fading channel environments and compared with the previous methods. The simulation results showed performance improvement of the proposed method over the existing ones.

  • 1991년 스위스연방기술원(EPFL) 화학과 교수 Michae Gratzel이 발명한 염료감응 태양전지 (DSSC)는 값싼 원료와 저가공비 면에서 가장 경쟁력 있는 기술의 하나로 큰 기대를 받고 있다. 염료감응 태양전지의 특징은 전극기판의 재료나 염료를 바꿈으로서 형상이나 색체에 다양성을 갖도록 할 수 있다. 일반적인 염료감응 태양전지의 원리는 태양광이 염료 분자에 흡수, 염료는 여기상태가 되어 전자를 n형 반도체인 $TiO_2$의 전도대로 흘리고, 전자는 TCO전극으로 이동하여 외부 부하에 전기 에너지를 전달하고 상대전극으로 이동, 염료는 $TiO_2$에 전달한 전자 수만큼 전해질로부터 전자를 공급 받아 원래의 상태로 돌아가게 되는 원리에 의하여 발전된다. 전해질로는 $I^-/I_3^-$와 같이 산화-환원 종으로 구성되어 있으며, $I^-$ 이온의 source로는 LiI, NaI,이미다졸리움 요오드 등이 사용되며, $I_3^-$는 이온은 $I_2$를 용매에 녹여 생성시킨다. 전해질 매질은 acetonitrile과 같은 액체 또는 PVdF와 같은 고분자가 사용될 수 있다. 액체형의 경우 산화-환원 이온 종이 매질 내에서 신속하게 움직여 염료의 재생을 원활하게 도와주기 때문에 높은 에너지 변환 효율이 가능하지만, 전극 간의 접합이 완벽하지 못할 경우 누액의 문제를 가지고 있다. 반면, 고분자를 매질로 채택할 경우에는 누액의 염료는 없지만 산화-환원 종의 움직임이 둔화되어 에너지 변환 효율에 나쁜 영향을 줄 수 있다. 따라서 고분자 전해질을 사용할 경우에는 산화-환원 이온 종이 매질 내에서 신속하게 전달 될 수 있도록 설계하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구는 염료감응 태양전지에서 가장 큰 문제가 되고 있는 고체 전해질의 산화-환원 이온 종이 매질 내에서 신속하게 전달 될 수 있도록 dimethylsulfoxide solvent 에 녹말 일정량을 녹여 Starch-$I_2$ complex 를 시켜주므로, 광 전압{\cdot}{\cdot}$전가 증가되었으며, 전지의 안정성이 향상되었다.

  • 전세계가 고유가 시대로 들어서면서 각국은 에너지 확보에 전력을 기울이고 있다. 이에 대체 에너지 개발이 미래의 중요한 과제로 여겨지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 결정질 실리콘 태양전지의 대안으로 주목받고 있는 염료감응형 태양전지를 다루어 보았다. 유효면적 $8cm^2$의 염료감응형 태양전지의 직병렬 조합을 이용하여 DSSC 모듈을 만들어 얻은 출력을 전력변환 시킴으로써 상용전원을 얻고자 하였다. 염료감응형 태양전지모듈을 만들기 위해 먼저 DSSC의 단위 셀을 최적화 시키고 이를 실제 광원에서 다양한 직병렬 연결 시도 끝에 모듈로부터 약 5.7V, 3A의 출력을 얻을 수 있었다. 이를 Boost converter를 이용하여 전압을 12V까지 승압하고 이 출력을 고속 스위칭 소자인 MOSFET을 이용하여 스위칭한 Push-pull converter에서 DC 310V까지 승압시켰다. 그리고 그 출력을 DSP를 이용한 20[kHz]의 PWM신호를 만들어 제어한 결과, AC 220V의 상용전원을 얻었다. 그리고 이 전원을 부하에 연결하여 그 동작 특성을 연구하였다.

  • In this study, the analysis of the static and dynamic characteristics of the load-sensitive hydraulic pump control system used in the hydraulic excavator was performed by hydraulic circuit ananlysis program. Thess results was verified by the experimental data of the hydraulic excavtor system. The responses on effective parameters of system at the controllable region and the pressure variation of the pump used in hydraulic excavator system was studied to enhance the static performace of the system. the parameter enhance dynamic sharacteristics was considerd.
