A new ternary full adder using the current controlled negative-resistance circuit is described. The full adder is constructed from the modified-half-adder which was devised by making use of a negative resistance circuit. This full adder makes the number of its gates decrease and makes its own speed increase in comparison with the full adders which had been introduced previously. It is convenient to construct to the integrated circuit because transistor, SBD(Schottky Barrier Diode) and resistors were used as the circuit elements.

Using ethnographic methods, this study identifies the meaning of paternal experiences through a series of individual one to two hour interviews with men who have grandchildren. The interviewees consisted of twelve fathers from fifty to seventy years of age and the middle SES class. The results were as follows. First, adult-children-marriage and parent transitions were found to be important changes for men on their father's perception of their role as a father. Second, fathers with grandchildren felt happiness due to their grandchildren and held grandchildren as being important. Third, protecting and supporting their families was the main focus of paternity. Forth, the period of paternal experiences with grandchildren can be called "the stage of strong grandfather identity" because men who have grandchildren put more importance in the relationship with grandchildren than do their own adult-children, and grandchildren themselves play an important role in establishing male identity.

The aim of this study is to explore fathers' own expectations and experiences of fatherhood along with their views of what it meant to be a 'good' father. Qualitative methodologies were used; semi-structured in-depth interviews with 10 dual-earner fathers with young children. Interviewees overwhelmingly welcomed the opportunities offered to them by the new fatherhood model and supported a perceived cultural shift towards men and fathers being involved in, rather than detached from, family life. However tension and difficulty in living the ideal were also reported: gaps between perceptions and behaviors; struggle for traditional breadwinning role and caring; conflicts between selflessness and career and uninvolved in family decisions. Political and practical considerations are discussed, and the implications of this study for future research are identified.

Fe V spinels were prepared by sintering the well-ground stoichiometric mixtures of Fe O and V O at 1,10$0^{\circ}C$ under H -CO atmosphere. The activation energy for electrical conduction decreases with increasing amount of iron. The tendency of activation energy depending on the amount of iron contained clarifies that the electrical condction of the spinel is mainly due to electron hopping between Fe and Fe ions at B sites. In the experiment for negative resistance characteristics, the threshold voltage (Vth) for the samples is related to ambient temperature, thickness and raising rate of applied voltage. Vth decreases as temperature increases while Vth increases linearly with thickness and Vth increases linearly with the raising rate of applied voltage in semi-logarithmic scale. These results lead to a conclusion that current paths mainly formed by thermal breakdown are ascribed to the negative resistance phenomena. Applying this property, these vanadium iron spinels may be used for switching elements.

In this paper, a coupled-defected ground structure(C-DGS) using negative inductive coupling is proposed and a bandstop filter(BSF) using C-DGS is designed and fabricated. The proposed C-DGS is the closely-located DGS cells for the negative coupling, the negative coupling of ground currents between adjacent DGS cells greatly improves the stopband characteristics. The proposed BSF utilizing the sharp cutoff response of the C-DGS has a -10 dB rejection band from 4 GHz to 11.3 GHz. A maximum attenuation rate is -64.3 dB/GHz in 3 cell structure, -108 dB/GHz in 5 cell structure. The C-DGS BSF shows the improved attenuation rate 3.8 times in 3 cell structure, 2.4 times in 5 cell structure, Also, the C-DGS BSF is reduced to 35.2 % and 40 % of the DGS BSF, respectively, due to the closely-located DGS cells. We fabricated the single gate mixer using C-DGS BSF. The single gate mixer has 6.6 dB conversion gain.

This study was conducted to find out the paternal attachment to neonate, and to identify factors affecting paternal attachment. The purpose was to make the base data for nursing intervention to improve paternal attachment. The subjects of this study were 93 fathers whose partners have delivered normal neonate in 1 hospital in Busan. Data were collected from Sep. 1th to Oct. 31th 2005 by a self-report questionnaire. The instrument for this study was based on 7 kinds of characteristics of paternal attachment by Greenberg & Morris(1974), and modified by researchers. The statistical methods for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA with SPSS program Ver 10. The conclusions are as follows. Fathers had the high degree of paternal attachment to neonate. But, there were not significant correlations between paternal attachment and the father's demographic characteristics, pregnancy plan, delivery pattern, delivery order, sex of neonate and past experience. Also there were not significant correlations between paternal attachment and early visual contact frequency of father-neonate. Further research about factors affecting paternal attachment to neonate and high risk neonate as well as low birth weight neonate is required.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of paters' doula touch during labor on paternal attachment and role confidence to neonate and couple attachment. Methods: The participants were 60 couples of laboring woman and her husband who were hospitalized from May 2010 to december 2010. Among 60 couples, 30 couples were assigned to an experimental group and the other 30 couples to a control group. All of them had any other complications of pregnancy. During one month, the paters' duola touch was applied to the experimental group of 32~42 gestation once a week and be in labor. Data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 14.0 Win program. Results: The scores for role confidence to neonate and couple attachment in the experimental group were significantly higher than those for the control group. The paternal attachment score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, but it was not significant. Conclusion: From these findings, it is concluded that paters'doula touch during pregnancy and labor can be helpful to improve attachment to the neonate and his/her spouse.

The purpose of this study is to provide basic data needed to examine the relationship between father and son by investigating correlations among male college students' perceptions of the degree of closeness to their fathers their fathers' paternal role and their own paternal role in the future. The subjects of this study were 474 male college students(sophomores juniors and seniors) from Seoul and Daegu. The questionaire the means of this research is composed of classified questions on related studies and on the researches of reference literatures, Statistical methods applied for data analysis were frequencies mean standard deviation Pearson's correlation. Major findings are as follows; 1) When a son perceives that he is on intimate terms with his father he perceives that his father performs paternal role well. Intimate relation between the father and the son can be considered essential to good performance of paternal role. 2)When a son perceives that he is on intimate terms w th his father he believes that he will perform his own paternal role will in the future. That is the son seems to accept his future paternal role positively as he feels close to his father. 3) Male college students who perceive their fathers' paternal role is properly performed tend to believe they will perform their own paternal role well in the future. Judging from the relation between fathers' performance of paternal role and sons' perception of thir future paternal role we can say good performance of paternal role is important is building up sons' affirmative perception of paternal role.
