Gain Optimization by Using Genetic Algorithm for Magnetic Levitation Controller (유전 알고리즘을 이용한 자기부상 제어기의 게인 최적화)

  • This paper presents a gam optimization method using genetic algorithm(GA) for a magnetic levitation(Maglev) controller. GA uses the integral of square error(ISE) as performance index. The plant dynamics are described and modelled by mathematical equations. Also, the system apparatus for the Maglev system are described. Using the derived model, to optimize the feedback gains of conventional state feedback controller(SFC), GA is simulated with SIMULINK model. finally, using the optimized feedback gains, SFC is applied to the Maglev system. From the results, we can see that GA can give a solution for the better control performance for the Maglev system.

  • The controller for magnetically suspended vehicles considering the speed characteristics is presented. Generally, the attraction force of magnet is determined by input current and air gap. However, when MAGLEV runs at high speed, induced eddy currents in the rail decrease the attraction force. Thus control characteristics of MAGLEV become deteriorated. Therefore, the variation of attraction force according to speed must be considered. Thus we analyzed the speed characteristics of the magnet by FEM. Also, we study on the control characteristics according to speeds, and design the controller considering the decline of levitation force using Neural Network.

  • The magnetic levitation system is utilized in the magnetic bearing of high-speed rotor because of little friction, no lubrication, no noise and so on. The magnetic levitation system need the feedback controller for the stabilization of system, and gap sensors are usually used to measure the gap. The use of sensor is troublesome such as sensor trouble, discord between the measurement point and the control point etc. This paper presents the design of robust stabilizing controller by H$_{\infty}$ control theory using the sensorless method proposed already by authors in the magnetic levitation system. And we investigated both the validity of the designed controller and the usefulness of the sensorless method proposed by authors of magnetic levitation system through results of actual experiment..

  • 본 논문에서는 자기 베어링을 이용한 자기부상형 터보분자펌프 운용시 그 시스템에 공급되는 입력전원이 중단될 경우 모터의 발전 전압을 이용하여 일정시간동안 자기 베어링을 구동하여 분자펌프의 안정된 shut-down을 유도하도록 제어기에 전원을 공급하는 전원장치를 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 전원장치는 300W급이며 입력전압 30~400V로 출력은 48V이다.

  • In this paper we present a RAMS to be applied to the development of the Urban Maglev Train Signalling System. The RAMS that can be applied to the life cycle of a Signalling system, from the basic design to the dismantlement, shows the whole process of the paper work in detail through the establishment of a goal, analysis and assessment, the verification. In this paper we study about the making a plan, the preliminary hazard analysis, the hazard identification and analysis to guarantee the safety of the Signalling System. The process for the verification of the system safety is divided into several steps based on the target system and the approaching method. The guarantee of the system safety and the improvement of the system reliability is followed by the recommendation of the international standards.

  • 최근 무선 통신 기술의 발전으로 무선 매체를 통한 다양한 서비스가 활발해지고 있다. 그 중 블루투스를 기반으로 하는 스마트 폰 어플리케이션 시장이 증가하고 있다. 블루투스는 근거리 무선 네트워킹 기술로서 무선이라는 요소와 빠른 전송속도라는 요소를 갖추고 있다는 장점이 있는 반면, 높은 전력소모와 다채널의 갯수 제한 등과 같은 단점이 존재한다. 이러한 블루투스의 단점을 보완하여 부상되고 있는 것이 지그비(Zigbee) 무선통신기술이다. 지그비는 블루투스나 와이파이 등의 기술보다도 저전력, 저가격, 다채널, 브로드캐스팅, 사용의 용이성을 지원하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 센서와 스마트 폰 사이의 무선통신기술로서 지그비를 이용하여서 근거리 무선 네트워크 시스템을 설계하여서 블루투스에 비해 낮은 전력소모와 다채널의 지원을 이용하여 다수의 다양한 센서를 스마트 폰과 근거리에서 실시간으로 무선 네트워크를 제어할 수 있는 시스템을 설계하였다.

  • Magnetic Servo Levitation (MSL) has been proposed as a method to drive a fast-tool servo system. This paper discusses some fundamental control and modeling issues in the development of a long-range high-bandwidth fast-tool servo based on MSL. A resursive linear model is developed to describe the system's dynamics linear model is developed to describe the system's dynamics, and further used to discuss controller design. For a given controller architecture, the performance of two controllers is then compared, one based on an approximation to the inverse plant dynamics, the second based on a adaptive neural network.

  • 최근 모바일 플랫폼으로 부상하고 있는 Google사의 안드로이드는 2008년 9월에 안드로이드의 첫 번째 공식 SDK 버전 1.0을 출시하여 현재(2010년 3월) SDK 버전 2.1까지 출시하였다. 안드로이드 플랫폼에서 블루투스 디바이스를 제어하기 위해 개발자들은 Android SDK의 Bluetooth API가 필요하게 되는데 이는 1.0~1.6버전까지는 지원 되지 않고 2.0 버전부터 공개가 되었다. 하지만 문제점은 안드로이드 2.0이 발표되기 이전에 나왔던 대부분의 안드로이드 단말은 2.0 업데이트 펌웨어를 현재까지도 지원하지 않고 있다는 것에 있다. Bluetooth API는 Android SDK 2.0 버전 이상에서만 사용 가능하기 때문에 개발자들이 개발한 블루투스 어플리케이션의 최소 펌웨어 버전 요구사항이 2.0 이상 일 수밖에 없는 것이다. 이 연구에서는 안드로이드 1.x 버전에서 사용될 수 있는 블루투스 API의 개발에 대해 알아보고자 한다.

A Fine Manipulator with Compliance for Wafer Probing System (컴플라이언스를 갖는 웨이퍼 탐침 시스템용 미동 매니퓰레이터)

  • A six DOF fine manipulator based on magnetic levitation is developed. Since most of magnetic levitation system are inherently unstable, a proposed magnetically levitated fine manipulator is implemented by use of an antagonistic structure to increase stability. From mathematical modeling and experiment, the equations of motion are derived. In addition, a six DOF sensing system is implemented by use of three 2-axis PSD sensors. A model reference-$H_{\infty}$ controller is applied to the system for the position control, In application of the fine manipulator, a wafer probing system is proposed to identify nonfunctional circuts. The probing system requires compliance to avoid destruction of DUT(device under test). A feedfor- ward-PD controllers are presented by the terms of the position accuracy, the settling time and the force accuracy.y.

  • In this paper, we proposes a study on air gap control for magnetic levitation of transverse flux permanent magnet electromagnets. In general, mechanical systems have a high failure rate of bearings. Bearings in particular are problematic because they have high surface wear rate and degradations. To solve this problem, replacing the bearing with a magnetic levitation electromagnet system can provide lightweight and efficiency improvements. However, precise air gap control is essential to control the magnetic levitation electromagnet system. Therefore, in this paper, we identify the instable cause of gap control through a mathematical modeling and verify through experiment a control algorithm that can use compensation.
