This study conducts meta-analysis of the effect size of related factors using research papers published within the past 20 years in relation to adolescent bullying experience in Korea. The verification results are as follows. First, in inducing factors, the overall effect size, personal psychology factor, and school life factor group showed a medium effect size. In the causative factors, the aggression, anxiety, stress, depression, suicidal thoughts, and school stress of school psychological factors showed a moderate effect size. Second, in terms of deterrent, the overall effect size, family environment factor, personal psychology factor, and school life factor group showed a medium effect size. In the sub-factors of determinants, the parenting attitude, parental support, and self-esteem and self-resilience of the family environmental factor group also showed a medium effect size. In conclusion, this study is meaningful in that it tried to quantitatively integrate the previous studies to examine objective results. It is meaningful that it provided basic data in program development and policy making to prevent and reduce the bullying of youth.
This study was conducted with the purpose of helping middle-aged women who experienced insecure attachment during personal growth experience positive changes by re-illuminating their own growth process. During this study period, 14 in-depth interviews were conducted from August 2020 to September 2021, and the interview contents were based on the narrative research methodology to examine the meaning of participants' experiences regarding unstable attachment and post-traumatic growth in existential contexts. The text was described in terms of, relational context, life context, etc. As a result of the study, three participants who experienced unstable attachment and post-traumatic growth were selected and the following conclusions were drawn. First, the meaning in the existential context is the desire for recognition, perfectionism, unstable family environment, how to cope with stress, the courage to face the wounds, self-acceptance and affirmation, gratitude to the people around you, and the hope of life is the meaning in the participant experience. was interpreted as Second, the meaning in the relational context was interpreted as experiences with parents, husbands, children, interpersonal relationships, and religion. Third, the meaning in the life context is the lack of care, the reproduction of control, the responsibility as the eldest daughter, the precious family, and the meaning and value of life is the present experience in which the various experiences with the parents in the past affect the lives of the current participants. interpreted in Through the above research results, this study aims to describe the experiences of insecure attachment during childhood and the post-traumatic growth process of participants using a narrative technique, and to suggest positive alternatives to their lives.
Purpose: This study was done to compare families of boys or of girls for actor and partner effect of stress, depression and parent-adolescent communication as perceived by mother, father and adolescent on adolescents' suicidal ideation. Methods: Participants were 183 families (104 boys' families, 79 girls' families) who met eligibility criteria. All measures were self-administered. Data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 program. Results: In boys' families, boys' depression and communication with father showed actor effect on boys' suicidal ideation. Boys' stress showed indirect effect on boys' suicidal ideation through communication with father and boys' depression. Mothers' depression showed indirect partner effect on boys' suicidal ideation through boys' depression. In families of girls, girls' depression and stress showed actor effects on girls' suicidal ideation. Girls' communication with mother showed indirect effects through girls' depression. Also girls' stress showed indirect effect through girls' depression. Stress in mothers and/or fathers showed partner effect on girls' suicidal ideation. Conclusion: To intervene in adolescents' suicidal ideation and promote adolescents' mental health, programs should be developed differently according to gender and based on parent's psychological states.
It is relatively common to have various feeding problem during infancy and childhood, even for typically developing children. Treatment outcome studies for pediatric feeding disorder consistently reported that applied behavior analaysis (ABA), a type of behavior intervention, is very effective and efficacious. Interdisciplinary team approach is necessary for severe feeding problems, but similar methods could be used through parent training for moderate and mild feeding problems. This article introduced assessment procedure to identify feeding problems as well as specific methods to deal with diver feeding issues. Each strategy can be used effectively only when it is combined with several other strategies including environmental rearrangement and should be developed individually upon each child's feeding issues. In addition, systematic and continuous parent trainings are mandatory. At the end, several treatments related issues were addressed.
In designing short to medium-span bridges, continuous composite bridges are becoming popular due to their advantages. However, if the concrete slab in continuous composite bridge is not prestressed, negative moment occurs in the mid-support and creates problems such as cracks in the concrete slab. Therefore. it must be considered in design. Two methods of arrangement of shear connectors were conducted using finite element elastic plastic analysis. Partial interaction theory was introduced and an analytical solution based on this theory was derived. The differences in the degree of interaction were investigated using analytical solutions and finite element analyses of simple composite beam and continuous composite beams. The results of the analyses were used to determine the advantage and disadvantages as well as any precaution when necessary using partial composite during actual design and construction.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a child abuse prevention education program for parents. Furthermore, the aim was to investigate the impact of child abuse prevention education on parents' response to positive emotion, parenting stress, and potential for child abuse. Methods: A randomized controlled pretest posttest design was used. A total of 60 participants, who were parents with children aged 1~5 and attending 8 nurseries and kindergartens located in Daegu, were recruited. They were randomly assigned to an experimental group (n=30) and a control group (n=30). The collected data were analyzed by an independent t-test, paired t-test, and χ2-test along with descriptive statistics using IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0. Child abuse prevention education for the experimental group included four modules on child rights, understanding child abuse, proper child discipline, and positive parenting attitudes. Results: The experimental group showed a significant difference in positive rumination from the control group (t=2.15, p=.036). The experimental group reported a significant difference in dampening from the control group (t=-2.49, p=.016). Additionally, the experimental group reported a significant difference in parenting stress from the control group (t=-2.12, p=.038) and also reported significant differences in child abuse potential from the control group (t=-2.26, p=.028). Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that child abuse prevention education for parents can improve positive rumination, reduce dampening, and reduce parenting stress and child abuse potential. Therefore, this study is useful in demonstrating how parental susceptibility to child abuse can be decreased. Future studies should pursue long-term programs and counseling programs.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate factors associated with sexual debut among Korean middle school students. Methods: From the database of the Eighth Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey (KYRBS), the researchers selected 37,297 middle school students aged 12-15 years. Data were analyzed using $x^2$ test and multiple logistic regression with the SPSS WIN 18.0 program. Results: The proportion of middle school students who had a sexual debut was 2.1% of boys and 1.5% of girls. In multiple regression analysis, economic status, experience of part time work, smoking, drug use and depression were associated with an increased proportion of sexual intercourse for both boys and girls. Living with parents, drinking alcohol and suicidal ideation were associated with sexual debut for boys only. By contrast, formal sexual education was associated with a reduced risk of sexual debut. Conclusion: The results of this study show the factors associated with sexual debut among Korean middle school students. Gender-related interventions should be taken into consideration in school sexual education programmes, because of differences in related factors according to gender.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between suicidal ideation and psycho-social factors such as depression, stress, self-esteem, and support from family, friends, and teachers. Data from a sample of 224 male and female high school sophomore students. The results were analyzed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, person's correlation, and multiple regression. The findings of this research are as follows. Firstly, there was no statistically significant gender difference in suicidal ideation. However females reported greater suicidal ideation than males. Secondly, there were a statistically significant gender differences in depression. stress, self-esteem, and support from teachers. Thirdly, the variables in the cause model accounted for 42.3% for males, and 36.4% for females, of the variance in suicidal ideation. Fourthly, there were gender differences in the predictive power of variables within the cause model for suicidal ideation. Depression, self-esteem. and stress were found to be significant predictors of suicidal ideation in males. On the other hand, depression and lack of family support were shown as significant predictors of suicidal ideation in females. These findings suggest that the following approaches should be taken in order to decrease suicidal ideation among adolescents. With males self-esteem should be strengthened, depression should be reduced, and stress should be managed. With females family problems need attention, and depression need to be reduced.

The present study explored psychosocial characteristics of infants with genital anomalies (GA) and their caregivers against normal controls. Participants were female caregivers and infants between the ages of 6to38months diagnosed with hypospadias(HS;n=103) or cryptorchidism (CR;n=49). Normalcontrols(n=131) were recruited and selected via Internet. Caregivers completed measures on parenting stress, coping style, social support, and infant temperament. Within the GAgroups, HScaregivers reported their greatest parental concerns as infant urination/bodily functioning difficulties whereas CRcaregivers reported worries related to surgical anesthesia issues. Both groups reported concern about their children's potential reproductive problems. Per caregiver report, infants with GA had lower ability to self-soothe. HS infants in particular were perceived as exhibiting greater negative emotion. Compared with controls, HS and CRcaregivers overall employed coping strategies more frequently and had lower interpersonal sensitivity and parental distress. However, HScaregivers emerged as experiencing higher stress when compared to the CRgroup. There were no differences in to tal parenting stress and social support scores between groups. Further, CRcaregivers reported lower levels of family discord than controls. Despite temperament-related differences between infants with GA and normal controls, HS and CRcaregivers reported lower parental distress and greater use of coping skills as compared to controls. Clinical implications are discussed.
