This study empirically analyzed the recognition and current status of university libraries related to the legal deposit of thesis and dissertation and investigated the ways to activate legal deposit to National Assembly Library. As a result, most universities conduct legal deposit of thesis and dissertation. However, most librarians face difficulties resulted from the duplication of deposits to many institutions. In the case that the deposits are not made, the main reasons are the university library's policies, duplication and inefficiency of the deposit procedures, and the limitation of obtaining copyright agreements. In order to address these limitations and to maximize the social and informational values of thesis and dissertation, this research proposed approaches to legal deposit of thesis and dissertation, including strengthening digital deposit system through the establishment of independent legal deposit law, preparing the effective ways of preservation. constructing an integrated deposit system, and developing professional collection of thesis and dissertation which can consolidate National Assembly Library.

This article describes cases of applying non-surgical treatment including scaling and root planing, occlusal adjustment and tooth splinting of periodontally compromised lower anterior incisors Clinical and radiographic evaluations were performed over a 1-3-year period. All clinical parameters and radiographic bone levels improved in both cases. Dramatic regeneration of alveolar bone and lamina dura were observed on radiographic images, and no specific complications occurred during the follow-up period. Within the limitations of this study, these cases demonstrated the possibility of tooth rescue through non-surgical treatment and splinting of periodontally compromised teeth typically considered for extraction.

The number of CT examinations is increasing, and radiation exposure is also increasing. repeated tests can affect the lens and thyroid. In hospitals, there is a tendency to lack interest in major long-term radiation exposure compared to the interest in increasing image information and image quality with head CT. In this study, we analyzed the improvement of image quality by proposed method to the noisy CT images. The proposed denoising method total variance optimization only for the impulsive noise candidate pixels. Experimental results show that edge information is well preserved and impulse noise can be effectively removed. and worked very well for the images according to tube voltage and rotation time. applied to the clinical setting, it can be used as the lowest exposure condition without worrying about the image quality and it will be helpful for the CT application.

Many of the historic plant specimens collected on the Korean Peninsula in the early twentieth century were lost during the Korean War, though some of them were deposited in the herbarium of Tokyo University (TI) and thus remained unharmed. Data on historic Korean plant specimens at TI are very important given the lack of current data on North Korean plants. Moreover a number of unidentified Korean historic specimens are present at TI. We carried out an identification process and created a list of plants in a newly found collection held by Dr. Ikuma Yoichiro, a Japanese entomologist. He traveled from Cheongjin to Hyesanjin via Baekdu-san (Mt.) in August of 1913 and collected 240 species. We also secured one duplicate set.

Korea became an aged society as of 2018, and will have plunged into a super-aged society by 2025. For the dental treatment of elderly patients, their general conditions are to be considered to make appropriate treatment plans and strategies, based on advanced knowledge of geriatric dentistry and clinical experience. In this study, the social demand for geriatric dental specialists for the treatment of the elderly of Korea is investigated by looking at their general health conditions, ADL (Activities of Daily Living), and IADL (Instrumental Activities of Daily Living), along with the review of the advanced training programs of geriatric dentistry in other countries.

Dendrobium candidum Wallich ex Lindley is a traditional Chinese medicine plant and has been widely used for medicinal and ornamental purposes. In this study, several different factors affecting micro propagation of protocorm-like bodies (PLBs) such as basal media, plant growth regulators, and carbon sources. The proliferation PLB derived from seeds was the best in $H_3P_4$ basal medium containing $0.1mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$ NAA and $0.1mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$ Kinetin. PLB growth was the best when $10g{\cdot}L^{-1}$ sucrose was added to the carbon atoms in the medium. The rate of shoot formation from the propagated PLB was the highest in 1/4 MS or $H_1P_2$ medium containing $10g{\cdot}L^{-1}$ sucrose, and the shoot length was longer than the others.

This study aims to propose a tool for a comparison of public electronic records management in a public institution and a private records management facility and to reveal the considerations prior to decisions on the way of management. For developing a tool, it chooses CoMMPER as a basic model and modifies it after reviewing existing cost models, because only CoMMPER can over public records management. Modified-CoMMPER is added a new cost area[Aquisition], and is modified and extended cost elements and generic cost factors for the comparison. Public institutions which consider whether commission the management of public electronic records can use Modified-CoMMPER for comparing economic impacts in terms of long-term preservation. To make a rational decision on the way of management based on the economic analysis, this study proposed 3 main task. Fist, the scope of the activities has to be defined, second, the cost-effectiveness has to be estimated base on the cost model, for example Modified-CoMMPER, third, policy-making for the management of public electronic records must be proceeded based on the various researches on the cost of records management.

A previous record of Coleosporium phellodendri on Zanthoxylum ailanthoides in Korea by Korean researchers was regarded as C. zanthoxyli by foreign scientists without further studies. To clarify the identity of a Coleosporium species occurring on Z. ailanthoides in Korea, we examined the morphological characteristics of eight materials and analyzed the internal transcribed spacer (ITS) and 28S large subunit (LSU) rDNA regions of three representative specimens which were collected in Korea and deposited in the Mycological Herbarium at Korea University (Seoul, Korea). All specimens collected in Korea were morphologically and molecularly determined to be C. zanthoxyli. Therefore, this is the first confirmed report on the presence of C. zanthoxyli on Z. ailanthoides in Korea.

After the revision of the Enforcement Decree of the Public Records Act, the archives created a management standard table for data set records management and performed management and control. Therefore, in this study, the data set record identification procedure and evaluation index were developed for systematic data set record management of archives. By applying this, a management standard table was prepared after identifying the records of 8 datasets in kr's electronic procurement system, and the evaluation was carried out according to the evaluation index, and the retention period, transfer, and collection were determined. It is hoped that this case study will be of practical use to the archives at a time when concrete examples of procedures for the management of dataset records are lacking.

한국생명공학연구원은 1985년 설립된 이후로 현재까지 국가적 연구개발 수요에 대응하여 바이오 분야의 기초 원천 연구, 인프라 구축 및 운영을 통하여 우리나라 생명과학기술 발전에 힘써왔다. 특히 2006년부터는 해외생물자원의 중요성에 주목하여 차세대 국가 핵심 전략 BT산업의 필수 원자재인 생물소재의 범지구적 확보, 보존 및 관리를 위하여 해외생물소재센터를 설치하였다. 이후 차례로 중국, 코스타리카, 인도네시아, 베트남의 4개 거점 센터를 개소 및 운영하여 권역별 해외생물소재의 공동연구 및 국제협력 네트워크를 구축하고 효과적인 소재 확보 및 관리를 도모하고 있다. 이와 같이 확보된 소재는 36개국에서 채집된 약 318과 3,406속의 36,500여점 (2019년 9월 기준)에 달하고 소재의 확증표본은 해외생물소재센터 식물표본관(KRIB)에 보관 중이다. KRIB표본관은 2000년 Index Herbariorum에 등록되었으며, 약 80,000여점의 건조표본을 소장하고 있다. 분류군수는 과별로 콩과>국화과>꼭두서니과 순으로 많았으며, 국가별로는 중국>베트남>코스타리카 순으로 조사되었다. 한국생명공학연구원 해외생물소재센터 및 식물표본관은 소재의 정확한 동정을 위한 분류학적 시설로서의 역할뿐 아니라 누구에게나 개방된 홈페이지를 통하여 해외소재의 표본정보, 표본이미지 및 민속학적 정보와 활성 등 가치 있는 정보를 제공하여 연구자들에게 다양한 활용지원 서비스를 제공하고 있다.
