In this paper I explore the theory of agent causation proposed by T. O'Connor. According to the theory, we can't explain an agent's control over his intention and action without appealing to 'agent causes events'(shortly, ACEs). But I argue that ACEs can't be a help to an agent's control over his intention and action. For this I show that reason-responsiveness is a necessary condition for an agent's control. In order for ACEs to help in explaining an agent's control, ACEs must be able to satisfy 'reason-responsiveness condition'. But, ACEs fail to satisfy the condition. For this reason, I conclude that ACEs can't be a help to an agent's control over his intention and action.

This study examined the differences in a searcher's mental states of a complex information search and retrieval task during information search process between the two groups: participants who were exposed to mental demand manipulation and those not exposed. Data from the experiments and questionnaires were analyzed. Based on qualitative approach and quantitative analyses, the results indicated that the participants exposed to mental demand required more thoughts; addressed negative emotions more often; reduced a searcher's efforts; and interrupted search performance than those not exposed. These results suggest that mental demand contributed to a searcher's perceived thought, emotion, effort, and performance, although these mental states differed in relative contribution of information search process. Significant differences were found between the two groups with respect to the component of mental demand, performance, and frustration of the NASA-TLX subjective cognitive load. These results have implications for search user interface design and information search systems among others.

X-선 혹은 감마선 등 종래의 방서선 치료는 양성자 혹은 이온에 의한 치료방법의 등장함에 따라 퇴조할 것으로 보인다. 그 이유는, 양성자 등 전하를 띄는 입자치료기술이 치료 후 후유증이나 암의 재발을 현저히 억제시킬 수 있기 때문이다. 전하를 띄는 입자는 암 조직 전후의 정상 조직에 최소한의 피폭을 주나, X-선이나 감마선과 같은 광자들은 암 조직 전후의 정상세포가 암세포로 변화될 수 있는 정도의 피폭량을 주는 것으로 알려져 있다. 현재 임상 중인 양성자(혹은 극히 일부의 탄소이온 치료기)치료기는 1990년 미국의 로마린다(Loma Linda) 대학에서 최초로 건립된 방식인 사이클로트론 혹은 싱클로트론 가속기와 빔라인 및 겐트리(gantry)로 구성된다. 그 장치의 거대함만큼이나 가격과 유지비 등에서 일반 소형병원에서 운영하기에는 쉽지 않아 보인다. 이에 본고에서는 소형병원에서도 운영할 수 있는 저비용의 레이저 양성자(이온) 가속방식의 등장 배경과 향후 전망을 논하고자 한다.

Electronic commerce offers the opportunity to integrate and optimize the global production and distribution supply chain. Rapid response to changes in demand and customer preference, and the ability to exploit new technologies, are becoming critical. The computer of the various corporations communicate with each other to determine the price and the availability of the components, to place and confirm orders, and to negotiate delivery time scales. In this paper, We describe a trading system that is based on mobile agent technology, called aglet. Aglets for the buyer and sellers are dispatched to the various marketplace, where they negotiate autonomously orders and deliveries, returning to the buyer and seller with their best deals for approval. We show that the electronic commerce system is feasibly built by using the Java aglet technology to demonstrate for simulating a traditional retail marketplace.

그 동안 개발된 시뮬레이터들은 주로 단안 정보에 기초한 것들이 대부분이었고, 양안 정보를 제공하더라도 사용자의 움직임을 반영하지 못하였다. 양안정보를 제공하지 못하는 시뮬레이터는 게임으로써는 재미에 한계가 있고, 훈련 도구로써 실제 수행에 도움을 주기 어렵다. 본 연구는 사용자의 움직임을 고려한 양안 정보를 제공하는 외야수 뜬 공 잡기 가상 현실 시뮬레이터를 개발하여 이러한 문제점들을 해결할 수 있는 토대를 마련하였다. 그리고 양안 정보 제공의 중요성과 개발된 시뮬레이터의 타당성 및 유용성을 검증하기 위해 본 시뮬레이터를 이용하여 공의 위치 판단 과제를 실시하였다. 양안 시차가 주어진 조건과 주어지지 않은 조건 각각에 두 집단 구성원들을 무선적으로 배치하여 정답률과 반응 시간을 측정하였다. 숙련자들은 양안시차가 주어진 조건에서 더 좋은 수행을 보인 반면, 일반인들은 양안시차가 주어지지 않은 조건에서 더 좋은 수행을 보였다. 이는 뜬 공 잡기 상황에서 양안정보가 숙련자들에게는 유용하지만 비숙련자들에게는 그렇지 않았음을 보여준다. 또한 숙련자들이 정답률과 반응 시간 모두에서 일반인들보다 더 좋은 수행을 보였고 이는 통계적으로 유의미하였다. 이와 같은 가상 현실 시뮬레이터는 양안 정보를 제공함으로써 이전의 시뮬레이터들보다 게임이나 훈련 도구로 사용함에 있어 더 효과적이다. 또한 인간의 운동 수행에 관련된 연구를 하는데 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.

Certificateless cryptography eliminates the need of certificacates in the public key crytosystems and solves the inherent key escrow problem in identity-based cryptosystems. This paper demonstrates that two certificateless signature schemes proposed by Guo et al. and Wang et al. respectively are insecure against key replacement attacks by a type I adversary. We show that the adversary who can replace a signer's public key can forge signatures under the replaced public key. We then make a suggestion to prevent the attacks.

한의학에서 신장(腎臟)은 단순히 소변을 만들어내는 곳으로 보는 것이 아니라 정력과 생식 활동을 담당하는 곳으로 표현하고 있다. 이러한 신장은 두 개의 강낭콩처럼 생긴 모양을 띄고 있으며 서로 마주 보고 있고 등에 붙어 있어 체내의 조절 기능을 수행하고 있다. 이와 같은 역할을 수행하는 신장에 이상이 발생하면 신부전, 신장염, 신우염 및 부종 등의 신장 질환을 앓게 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 신장 기능의 이상 유무를 손쉽게 판단하기 위한 방법으로 음성 분석을 통한 자가 진단법을 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위해 한의학에서 제시하고 있는 신장 질환자에 대한 목소리 패턴을 객관적 지표로 설계하기 위해 정상인과 신장 질환자를 대상으로 음성의 고저(高低)에 해당하는 분석 요소를 적용하여 피실험자 집단간의 비교, 분석을 실험으로 입증하고자 한다.

폴리비닐리덴플루오라이드 바이모프 외팔보(poly(vinylidene fluoride) bimorph cantilever beam)의 진동을 기술하는 수학적 모형을 세우고 실험으로 그모형의 타당성을 고 찰하였다. 여러 전압의 교류전류에 대해 여러 길이의 외팔보의 주파수응답을 측정하였고 여 러 전압의 직류전류에 대해 여러 길이의 외팔보의 처짐을 측정하였다. 실험으로부터 이 외 팔보의 진동은 점성감쇠보다는 구조감쇠로 기술하는 것이 더 타덩하고 외팔보가 전기장에 대해 damping factor가 일정해야 하나 각각의 normal mode에 대해 다른 damping factor로 수정하여 계산한이론치가 실험과 더 일치하였다. 공명주파수의 공명진폭을 예측할수 있고 넓은 입력주파수 영역에 대한 외팔보의 응답을 기술 할수 있으며 진동하는 외팔보는 모든위 치에서의 진폭을 기술할수 있다는 점에서 여기서의 모형은 Toda와 Smits의 모형들보다 우 수하다고 볼수 있다.

최근 위험물질에 의한 폭발 및 테러의 위험성 증가로 인하여 사회간접자본 시설물인 댐/보, 원자력 발전소, 병원 구조물과 같은 주요 시설물의 폭발 안전성 평가 연구가 이슈화 되고 있어, 본 연구에서는 가스폭발에 의한 다기능 보 구조물의 거동을 평가하고 안전성을 분석 하고 자 한다. 본 연구에서 폭발 해석에 필요한 하중 조건 산정은 PHAST 프로그램을 사용하여 주변 온도 및 공기 특성 등을 고려한 약 5톤의 가스 폭발 조건을 구축 하였다. 또한 다기능 보 구조물의 거동 분석을 위해 구조물-지반 상호 작용을 고려한 2차원 유한 요소 모델을 구축하여 폭발에 의한 구조물 거동을 평가 하였다. 다기능 보 구조물의 수치해석 결과 보 구체와 Stilling Basin구조물 사이의 연결부에 응력집중 현상이 발생하는 것으로 평가 되었다.

기존에는 기계설계 시 각종 부품에 대한 정보를 카탈로그나 인터넷의 홈페이지를 통해서 얻을 수 있었다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷을 통하여 공급자와 구매자가 필요한 형상의 부품을 상호 대화 방식으로 경매를 통하여 구매하는 시스템을 구현하였다. 제안된 시스템에서 구매자는 제품에 대한 사용방법과 여러 가지 특징을 알 수 있으며, 공급자는 자신의 회사제품의 형상을 구매자에게 보여 줄 수 있다. 또한 구매자는 다수의 공급자가 공급하는 제품의 형상과 일부분이 상이한 제품에 대하여서도 제품에 대한 가격과 납기일 등 상세한 정보를 보면서 제품을 구매 할 수 있고, 여러 제조회사와의 상담시간, 설계시간 및 원가계산 시간을 단축시킬 수 있는 온라인 시스템을 제시한다. 제시된 시스템은 Linux 6.2/윈도우 환경하에서 Java언어를 이용하여 구현하였다.
