The purpose of this study was to analysis of PBL for Korean Apprenticeship Program in Mechanical Engineering. The details of the study were as follows: First, the perception related to the PBL of Korean apprenticeship program was investigated. Second, the utilization and the operational difficulties of PBL for Korean Apprenticeship Program were investigated. Third, the supporting system for PBL was suggested. Research methods were literature research, questionnaire survey and FGI. The survey was conducted online from July 15 to August 14, 2021. A total of 515 respondents responded. A total of 108 in 515 respondents were in Mechanical Engineering. FGI conducted a total of 25 people who actual use PBL in the field of Korean Apprenticeship Program. Conclusions and suggestions based upon the result of this study are as follows. First, It is necessary to improve the utilization of PBL for Korean Apprenticeship Program in Industry. Second, PBL is necessary to apply optionally according to the job and field situation. Third, it is necessary to support system of evaluation for PBL in Korean Apprenticeship Program. Finally, related operation model and guideline need to be prepared for best practice.

This study analyzed the effect of participation in work and learning ducal system of small businesses on employees' job competency enhancement. The study results showed that performance assessment significantly affected job competency enhancement(p<.001, ${\beta}=.514$). In conclusion, it is suggested that small businesses should consider performance assessment more important and actively include it in training program as generally utilizing off-the-job or on-the-job training method. This study provided implications for analyzing the effect of participation in work and learning ducal system of small businesses on employees' job competency enhancement, so it broadened the scope of the study about performance of work and learning ducal system and verified the effectiveness depend on the type of training.

The recent advances of the information technology have motivated lots of research efforts to develop new computer-aided teaching and learning methodologies on various computer science topics, such as data structures, operating system, computer networks, and computer architecture. However, there have been only few studies to educate the database subject although it is one of the most important topics in the computer science. Specifically, among the various issues in the database subject, a learner often suffers to understand the mechanism of the concurrency control and recovery of database transaction in the database because it highly interacts with other functions in the database. Obviously, an intelligent visualization tool can help a learner to understand the process of the concurrency control and the recovery of database transaction. The purpose of this study is to develop an efficient visualization tool which can help users understand the two phase locking protocol (2PLP)-based concurrency control. Specifically, this visualization tool is designed to encourage a users' participation and raise their interest by visualizing the process of transactions and allowing users to specify and manipulate their own transactions.

We propose a method that combines learning in a virtual environment and a real environment for indoor autonomous driving through reinforcement learning. In case of learning only in the real environment, it takes about 80 hours, but in case of learning in both the real and virtual environments, it takes 40 hours. There is an advantage in that it is possible to obtain optimized parameters through various experiments through fast learning while learning in a virtual environment and a real environment in parallel. After configuring a virtual environment using indoor hallway images, prior learning was carried out on the desktop, and learning in the real environment was conducted by connecting various sensors based on Jetson Xavier. In addition, in order to solve the accuracy problem according to the repeated texture of the indoor corridor environment, it was possible to determine the corridor wall object and increase the accuracy by learning the feature point detection that emphasizes the lower line of the corridor wall. As the learning progresses, the experimental vehicle drives based on the center of the corridor in an indoor corridor environment and moves through an average of 70 steering commands.

Recently the Korean life-long occupational skill development system is undergoing rapid change and innovation on the basis of NCS (National Competency Standards). In order for the NCS-based occupational training system to be successfully established, it is required to be accepted and applied in the higher education. Universities, however, hesitate to adopt NCS-based contracted education programs of the work-and-study cooperative system due to low relevance of university education to industrial needs and absence of the reference operation model for the NCS-based contracted education programs considering Korean small companies' particular needs. This study aims to develop and apply a reference operation model for NCS-based contracted education programs of the university-linked work-and-study parallel system, focusing on the Department of Mechanical Design Engineering of College of Work and Study in Parallel, Koreatech. In addition, several operational guidelines are suggested within the framework of current law and regulations for successful diffusion of the NCS-based reference operation model. The results of this study are expected to contribute to nation-wide proliferation of NCS-based contracted education programs in the higher education and motivating companies and universities to participate in the work-and-study parallel initiatives.

Most of the curricula of higher educational institutions, including universities, have been operated on a theoretical basis, and as a result, the academic talents have been mismatched with the competencies of industrial demand. Since 2015, the government project called "IPP-type Work and Learning Dual Program(WLDP)" is supporting four-year universities to minimize the academic talents mismatch. The purpose of the project is to improve the working ability of students by linking IPP with WLDP. However, the outcome of linking IPP to WLDP has been frustrating so far. In this study, "WLDP coupled with IPP" is proposed to reduce the perception gap between students and companies. In the suggested progress, student performs IPP first and WLDP second. Two examples have shown that the suggestion can be a quite effective process in matching student with the company.

In this study, parallel work-learning training, which was started in 2013 as a pre-employment promotion policy, is an important factor that determines the success or failure of training. As a time when various institutional supplementation is needed to encourage company participation, this study is to identify the factors of participation of companies participating in work-learning parallel. To this end, a questionnaire survey was conducted of companies participating in parallel work-learning in Chungnam, and the results were analyzed using the structural equation model. As a result of the study, the reason for the company's participation in parallel work-learning was firstly, 84% of government subsidy received education and training expenses. Second, 66% of workers were able to pay less than regular workers, and thirdly, it was easy to hire new employees in the field. 26%, 17% of them were invited by acquaintances for no particular reason. Therefore, the study suggests that participation in the work-learning parallel training contributes to the management costs, management of employee turnover, and human resource development. In future research, it is necessary to subdivide tests and estimates by conducting studies on regions, occupations, gender, wages, and years of service in Korea.

The dual system in Korea already plays an important role in quantitative terms in the Korean lifelong vocational competency development system. However, since most of the existing dual system performance management plans in Korea focus on qualification-linked dual system, research on the effective performance management of the four-year university-driven dual system is very insufficient. This paper presents multiple measures for developing a performance management system suitable for the university-driven dual system to achieve qualitative improvement of the contract departments of the dual colleges or universities. As an approach to the end, a performance evaluation system is established by developing the evaluation items and indicators for the dual colloeges' contract departments. Next, it analyzes the needs of various stakeholder groups such as field teachers of the involved companies, students in apprenticeship and OJT professors of KOREATECH through FGI's and polls to diagnose the current operational performance, especially the causes of high drpout rates of the contract departments. From these results, the paper presents firstly the development of measuring methods for the developed performance indicators of the evaluation system and then a systemic performance management system which is based on 'input-transformation-outcome-feedback' structure. In addition, some measures for improving the high dropout rate and performance are presented from the viewpoints of each stakeholder.

The Work-Study parallel program has been promoted as a key policy to resolve the mismatch between industrial sites and school education and realize a competency-centered society, and as of December 2022, 16,664 companies participated in the training. Learning companies play a very important role as education and training supply organizations that conduct field training. In this study, for the evaluation of learning companies participating in work-study program, the authors derive important factors that determine the quality of on-site education and training by analyzing the cognitive structure of experts in charge of the company and present evaluation indicators for learning enterprises. Therefore, it is intended to lay the foundation for promoting the quality of work-study parallel program.

This research was conducted in order to know how influential the acknowledgment of factors such as the quality of educational contents and the conducting of off-line lectures is in terms of effective learning for leaners. Based on the satisfaction-importance model of the multi-attribute attitude model, this study would like to clarify the degree to which the quality of on-line contents of on-line education and the simultaneous conducting of off-line lectures influences one's learning attitude. On-line contents satisfaction will evaluated through the three categories: audio lectures, video lecture and WEI lectures, which make up the quality of on-line contents. We would also like to do a survey on the transformation of learning attitudes when on-line and off-line lectures were conducted simultaneously.
