교통사고나 안전사고로 인한 중증 피해자를 사망으로부터 지켜내기 위해서는 앰뷸런스가 병원으로까지 환자를 이송하는 "골든타임(Golden time)"이 중요하다. 본 연구는 사람들에게 미리 "라이프 라인(Life Line)"을 시각적으로 알려줌으로써, 복잡한 도로에서 응급상황이 왔을 때 자연스럽게 앰뷸런스의 길을 터 주어 빠른 시간 안에 환자를 병원까지 이송하도록 하는 응급도로 표시를 연구하였다. 현재 설치되어 있는 도로 노면표시 중 기존차량에 관한 노면표시를 살펴보고 응급차량 관련 새로운 노면표시 디자인의 가이드 라인을 제시하였다.

'Emotional Design' is appeared recently as one of the important issues in design field. Emotional Design is understanded from a interactive point of view, human and interior space. Child's formation of character grows in human, environment, space all. At all, growth process itself who develop infant's formation of character can speak that have function of emotional communication. Therefore, this study wishes to recognize how element of emotional design was reflected through analysis of children's hospital considering child's emotion reacting most sensitively about effect of surrounding environment. As result, Various sensitivity element through senses that can rouse interest in more child's emotion in children's hospital design is mayhave to reflected.

Recent hospital building design considers not only its functional space composition but also contemplates "patient focused concept" in the early design stage. It is also called "hospital unlike hospital" and, usually, architects put their effort in building's exterior design to serve the coziness for patients. Therefore, this research analyzed and evaluated the exterior design of The K University Hospital Competition, as a case study, to understand recent hospital design trend and also to suggest a vision for future hospital design.

Hand rehabilitation training tools are used in hospitals and at home for patients and users who require recovery of disabled hands and improvement in overall hand function. However, existing training tools are not organized into a progressive system, and they lead to repeatability operations over a period of time. As a result, patients feel free and cannot be motivated by rehabilitation, and continuous rehabilitation training is difficult. Based on this argument, the study combines one of the elements of the game called the "Cat's cradle" to enable the user to feel achievement through play and to achieve natural rehabilitation through unconsciousness. After examining the characteristics of the tool, the user's environment, the relevance of the Cat's cradle game to the training tool and to the patient's continued rehabilitation was established. And design elements were derived through professional interviews. Later, design guidelines and prototypes have been created to complement the problems associated with guidelines and prototypes by conducting usability testing and design element assessment.
