  • 본 논문에서는 병렬 신경망을 기반으로 원형 게이지뿐만 아니라 다양한 종류의 아날로그 게이지 값을 인식하는 방법을 제안한다. 아날로그 게이지는 다양한 산업 현장에 쓰이고 있지만, 게이지 값을 사람이 읽는 과정에 불필요한 시간이 소모가 되고 위급 상황에 빠른 대응이 힘들다. 이러한 문제로 인해 게이지 값을 디지털화하여 컴퓨터로 전송되는 데이터만으로 자동으로 모니터링을 하기 위한 방법이 필요하다. 제안하는 방법은 두 단계로 구성된다. 우선 입력된 게이지에 대해 원근법 보정을 수행하고, 게이지의 중심 좌표와 눈금의 최소, 최대, 지침에 대한 정규 벡터를 이용해 게이지의 각도를 계산한다. 이는 학습 데이터와 추가 학습한 실험 데이터의 적은 평균 각도 오차를 통해 제안한 방법이 실제 산업 현장에 잘 적응 가능함을 확인할 수 있다.

A Hybrid UPC Algorithm Combining Leaky Bucket and EWMA Algorithms on ATM Networks (ATM 망에서 리키버켓과 EWMA 방식을 결합한 복합형 UPC 알고리즘)

  • 본 논문에서는 ATM 망에서 대표적 사용 파라미터 제어(UPC) 알고리즘인 리키버켓 알고리즘과 윈도우 알고리즘의 하나인 EWMA 알고리즘을 결합한 복합형 UPC 알고리즘을 제안하고 그 성능을 평가 분석하였다.제안된 알고리즘은 최대전송율을 제어하는 리키버켓과 평균전송율을 제어하는 EWMA를 병렬로 결합하여, 최대전송율과 평균전송율을 동시에 고려하였다. ON/OFF 트래픽 소스 모델을 적용, BONeS를 이용하여 모의실험한 결과 제안 알고리즘이 기존의 리키버켓 알고리즘에 비해 셀 손실율과 버퍼 크기면에서 우수한 성능을 나타냈다.Abstract In this paper, a hybrid UPC algorithm is proposed, which combines the representative Leaky Bucket UPC algorithm with the EWMA window algorithm in the ATM network and then its performance is evaluated. The hybrid UPC algorithm is made up of Leaky Bucket and EWMA, which control the peak bit rate and the mean bit rate, respectively. According to the result of the simulation using BONeS with the On/Off traffic source model, it is revealed that the proposed UPC algorithm has superior performance to the existing Leaky Bucket UPC algorithm with regard to both the cell loss rate and the buffer size.

CUDA based Lossless Asynchronous Compression of Ultra High Definition Game Scenes using DPCM-GR (DPCM-GR 방식을 이용한 CUDA 기반 초고해상도 게임 영상 무손실 비동기 압축)

  • Memory bandwidth requirements of UHD (Ultra High Definition $4096{\times}2160$) game scenes have been much more increasing. This paper presents a lossless DPCM-GR based compression algorithm using CUDA for solving the memory bandwidth problem without sacrificing image quality, which is modified from DDPCM-GR [4] to support bit parallel pipelining. The memory bandwidth efficiency increases because of using the shared memory of CUDA. Various asynchronous transfer configurations which can overlap the kernel execution and data transfer between host and CUDA are implemented with the page-locked host memory. Experimental results show that the maximum 31.3 speedup is obtained according to CPU time. The maximum 30.3% decreases in the computation time among various configurations.

Performance of OFDM wireless communication system for modulation techniques (변조방식에 따른 OFDM 무선통신 시스템의 성능평가)

  • In this study, a OFDM mode, unlike traditional single carrier mode, is that a great number of carrier in multi-channel environment is transmitted by modulating objective Data parallel in order to execute high speed Data translation and make frequency orthogonal to offer high spectrum efficiency. As a result, this method is adopted to a variety of fields and is being actively studied. In this papers, the efficiency of OFDM wireless-communication systems is evaluated by modulation methods through computer simulation. M-PSK and M-QAM are used as modulation methods. The simulation is executed in a real channel and a virtual channel included multi-path, AWGN, Peak Power clipping, Frame Start Time Error As a result of simulation, it is confirmed that M-QAM method is superior to M-PSK in OFDM systems in terms of the transmission methods.

  • High-speed WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) systems operating in 5GHz band use OFDM transmission technique. OFDM technique transmits data in parallel and has many advantage compared with the serial transmission system-for example, robustness to time variance of channel. OFDM technique use the orthogonal multicarriers. The ICI(InterChannel Interference) caused by the orthogonality destruction between subcarriers. hamper the BER performance. In this paper, we propose the synchronization techniques for high-speed WLAN system designed to support user data rates up to 54Mbps at 5GHz. The proposed synchronization techniques are the reduced complexity structure having the similar performance compared with the conventional synchronization techniques.

  • OFDM(orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex) modulates transmitting data with many carriers in parallel. As a result, high-speed data transmission is carried out and high spectral efficiency is provided by overlapping orthogonal frequencies. Therefore, OFDM is applied to many communication systems. In this paper, according to modulation methods(M-PSK and M-QAM), coded-OFDM wireless communication is simulated. Turbo code is used and two channels(virtual and real channel) are used. both channels have multipath delay spread, Gaussian noise, and peak power clipping. As a result of the simulation, coding gain is about 3dB and it is proved that M-QAM modulation is better than M-PSK. Start after striking space key 2 times.

  • In this paper, we present more effective throughput enhancement technique to improve the data rate and reliability by using the multiple antenna technique. The conventional spatial diversity scheme is limited in according with the interference from each antenna channel status, and the orthogonality of spreading codes and subcarriers are destroyed due to the frequency selectivity. Proposed system is considered MC-CDMA system with 4 transmit antennas and 1 receive antenna. Proposed system based on SVD with the MS-RLS MMSE subcarrier combining method in order to achieve better performance with low computational complexity. Via computer simulation, we confirm that the proposed system is able to improve the BER performance by suppressing the interference of other antenna signals.

  • Most of the recent researches for ATM switches have been based on multistage interconnection network known as regularity and self-routing property. These networks can switch packets simultaneously and in parallel. However, they are blocking networks in the sense that packet is capable of collision with each other Mainly Banyan network have been used for structure. There are several ways to reduce the blocking or to increase the throughput of banyan-type switches: increasing the internal link speeds, placing buffers in each switching node, using multiple path, distributing the load evenly in front of the banyan network and so on. Therefore, this paper proposes the use of recirculating shuffle-exchange network to reduce the blocking and to improve hardware complexity. This structures are recirculating shuffle-exchange network as simplified in hardware complexity and Rank network with tree structure which send only a packet with highest priority to the next network, and recirculate the others to the previous network. after it decides priority number on the Packets transferred to the same destination, The transferred Packets into banyan network use the function of self routing through decomposition and composition algorithm and all they arrive at final destinations. To analyze throughput, waiting time and packet loss ratio according to the size of buffer, the probabilities are modeled by a binomial distribution of packet arrival. If it is 50 percentage of load, the size of buffer is more than 15. It means the acceptable packet loss ratio. Therefore, this paper simplify the hardware complexity as use of recirculating shuffle-exchange network instead of bitonic sorter.

  • A power line in not so good in characteristics for communication, because it is a media to transfer the commercial electrical power, and its load noise and high frequency noise are so much. Thus, a simple method to transfer a remote control signal on the power line is studied. The already-existing method is that two signals with upper part eliminated is transmitted every N step. But the method is investigated which the transmitter sends a period signal eliminated in arbitrary phase. Thus the transmission power loss due to elimination of signal can be reduced to the minimum. To implement it, a timer calculating the time from zero-crossing point to the phase is required. The micro-controller, 87C51, precisely calculates the phase using one of two built-in timers. As a result, a remote control signal tramsmitter and receiver using a partially eliminated signal, which is better than the conventional technique using half-eliminated signal in a efficiency of power transmission, is realized, and its characteristics are analyzed.
