The Systematic Understanding of Zhuzi's Yixueqimeng (주자(朱子) 『역학계몽(易學啓蒙)』의 체계적(體系的) 이해(理解))

  • This paper is about Zhuzi(朱子) writings entitled Yixueqimeng("易學啓蒙"). There are only four research articles on Yixueqimeng("易學啓蒙"), although it had taken important role in the process of formation of Zhuzi(朱子) study of changes, comparing with 30 different kinds of research on his works after this Yixueqimeng("易學啓蒙"). In line with this, the author intends to make this paper as a full-scale research article on Zhuzi(朱子) work - Yixueqimeng("易學啓蒙"). Zhuzi(朱子) exposes the meaning of the Xiangshuyixue(象數易學), to wit, the emblem and numerology of Emblem and Numerology in interpreting Zhouyi("周易") again by accepting Hetu("河圖") and Luoshu("洛書"). When discussing the Zhouyi("周易"), Yiliyixue(義理易學) had drawn supports from Wangbi(王弼) Deyiwangxianglun(得意忘象論). Likewise, Zhuzi(朱子) tried to ruminate upon the meaning of the Hetu("河圖") and Luoshu("洛書") through the Yixueqimeng("易學啓蒙"). As he interprets all things through Hetu("河圖") and Luoshu("洛書"), these two systems of emblem have become essential. Even in Shifa(筮法), he elicited Dayanzhishu(大衍之數) from Hetu("河圖") and Luoshu("洛書") so that he related the divination rule to Hetu("河圖") and Luoshu("洛書"). By doing so, Zhuzi(朱子) concatenates Dayanzhishu(大衍之數) to Hetu("河圖") and Luoshu("洛書") too. Furthermore, by interpreting Yongjiu(用九) and Yongliu(用六), which belong to Qiangua(乾卦) and Kungua(坤卦) as prognostication that will be referred to when all six-line symbols are changed, he had made a great contribution to the history of Zhouyi("周易") study. Zhuzi(朱子) is responsible for a sizable part of the history of Zhouyi("周易") study as much as Wangbi(王弼) and Chengyi(程?). Of course, there are some parts where efforts were made in vain, however, the method to interpret the Zhouyi("周易") have developed day by day owing to the efforts of Zhuzi(朱子).

  • Noju Oh Hui-sang was a Confucian who was active during the reign of King Sunjo in late Joseon Dynasty and he also was a master of the Sallim faction. Though he is known as an eclectic Neo-Confucian, he had profound knowledge in the study of Confucian classics as well through succeeding the family study handed down by his father Oh Jae-sun and his oldest brother Oh Yun-sang. This thesis hereby examines Noju's Confucianism doctrine and its characteristics. Noju's Confucianism doctrine is characterized significantly with the following aspects. First, its analyses are detailed overall and it annotates chapters and verses mostly related to Neo-Confucian theories on interpretation of the Confucian classics. Second, it conducts in-depth study not only on Chu Hsi's annotation but also on the small commentaries (小注) in Compendium of the Commentaries on Four Chinese Classics (四書集註大全). In terms of Chu Hsi's theory, however, Noju interprets Confucian classics while supplementing shortcomings on Chu Hsi's theory rather than opposing it. For opinions of all philosophers and scholars on small commentaries, it expresses rather critical theories than supporting ones. Third, it quotes many theories not only of Chinese Confucians but also of Korean ones. It mainly introduces theories of Namdang Han Won-jin, including those of Yi Yulgok. Among them, it particularly has frequent quotations from Han Won-jin's Kyoungyigimunrok (經義記聞錄). Fourth, Noju actively acknowledges senior Confucians' theories many times in quoting them but he also daringly points out their errors when a theory is thought not to be appropriate. He indicates errors one by one in theories not only of Uam and Yulgok but even of Mencius. Fifth, it especially discusses Book of Changes (周易) in depth. It tends to criticize Chengzi's I-Chuan (易傳) but accept Chu Hsi's Benyi (本義). It roughly explains Book of Changes in general but seldom directly accounts for trigrams of it other than Qian trigram and it has detailed explanation especially on Xicizhuan (繫辭傳).

  • The purpose f this thesis is to examine the reality of Min Sha-pyeong, which led to life in the end of the Koryo Dynasty. Min Sha-pyeong was able to conduct academic exchanges through active negotiations with various scholars at the time. After passing the civil service exam at the age of 21, Min Sha-pyeong acted in various positions and remained loyal to the government. Min Sha-pyeong, who frequently met with Lee Je-hyun, Baek Mun-bo and Lee-saek, exchanged opinions. Sometimes Baek Mun-bo gathered together and always joined him when drinking. Lee-saek was convinced that his poetry would continue to inspire. The time when Min Sha-pyeong was active very confusing at home and abroad. In the end of the Koryo Dynasty, the national operating system was unstable due to the poor land and the suffering of the afflicted people, who suffered from frequent in vasions of Japan. At the time, the corruption and the suffering of the people were serious. Min Sha-pyeong refers to the reality of the people who love the people, reflecting the lives of the people living in poverty. Min Sha-pyeong thinks life without loyality is not a normal life. If I had a desire, I realized that the riches of wealth would wane someday. Min Sha-pyeong hoped that he would be relieved of his sympathy and would be relieved of their position in sympathy ith the people. Here, youy can see the reality of the people in Min Sha-pyeong is clearly revealed.

A Semi-fragile Watermarking Algorithm of 3D Mesh Model for Rapid Prototyping System Application (쾌속조형 시스템의 무결성 인증을 위한 3차원 메쉬 모델의 Semi-fragile 워터마킹)

  • In this paper, semi-fragile watermarking algorithm was proposed for the application to RP(Rapid Prototyping) system. In the case of the perceptual change or distortion of the original one, the prototype product will be affected from the process because the RP system requires the high precision measure. Therefore, the geometrical transformations like translation, rotation and scaling, the mesh order change and the file format change are used in the RP system because they do not change the basic shapes of the 3D models, but, the decimation and the smoothing are not used because they change the models. The proposed algorithm which is called semi-fragile watermarking is robust against to these kinds of manipulations which preserve the original shapes because it considers the limitations of the RP system, but fragile against to the other manipulations which change the original shapes. This algorithm does not change the model shapes after embedding the watermark information, that is, there is no shape difference between the original model and the watermarked model. so, it will be useful to authenticate the data integrity and hide the information in the field of mechanical engineering which requires the high precision measure.

Study on the Front Detection Techniques by using Satellite Data (위성 자료를 이용한 전선 탐지 기법 연구)

  • A mass of seawater with similar properties in the ocean is called a water mass, and the front is a sea area where two masses of different properties meet. The gradient algorithm is a method of extracting where the sea water temperature pixel changes rapidly assuming that the slope is large, and the place with the large slope is assumed to be a front. This method is able to process large amounts of satellite data at once. Therefore, in this study, we tried to find the front lines in the sea area around the Korean Peninsula by using a gradient algorithm. The study data used gridded sea surface temperature satellite data. The resolution was 1/4°, and the monthly average data from January 1993 to December 2018 were used. There were major five fronts representatively, China Coastal Front, South Sea Coastal Front, Kuroshio Front/ Kuroshio Extension Front, Subpolar Front and the Subarctic Front. As a result of comparing the distribution of front by season, more types of front were distributed in winter and spring than in summer and autumn, and the distribution range was wider.

Effects of Adherend Thickness on Adhesive Strength between Organic Adhesive and Metal Adherend (고분자 접착제와 금속 피착재의 접착강도에 미치는 피착재 두께의 영향)

  • It is important to measure the quantitative adhesive strength between an organic adhesive and a metal adherend. In measuring the adhesive strength between an organic adhesive and a metal adherend, the effect of the kind and thickness of the adherend on the adhesive strength was studied. Two kinds of metal adherends were selected, aluminum (Al1050) and stainless steel (STS304), and a dolly test and a lap shear test were used to measure the adhesive strength. When measuring the adhesive strength between the organic adhesive and the metal adherend by the tensile stress mode of dolly test, the change in the thickness of the metal adherend had little effect on the adhesive strength, however, the adhesive strength was different depending on the kind of the adherend. On the other hand, when measuring the adhesive strength between the organic adhesive and the metal adherend by the lap shear test, the change in the relative thickness of the metal adherend had an effect on the adhesive strength. The reason is that the bending phenomenon of the adherend occurring in the edge of bonding region during the lap shear test contributes to lowering the adhesive strength by generating additional tensile stress in the bonding region. From this work, it is concluded that the dolly test could be widely used when measuring the quantitative adhesive strength of organic adhesives and metal adherend because there is little change in adhesive strength even though the thickness of the adherend is changed.

The Effect of Team Leader's Facilitation Competency on the Team Effectiveness: Mediating Effects of the Shared Leadership (팀 리더의 퍼실리테이션 역량이 팀 효과성에 미치는 영향: 공유리더십의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to verify the mediating effects of shared leadership between team leader's facilitation competency and team effectiveness. To achieve the purpose, this study conducted a survey of 377 members in the team-operated organization. The collected data were analyzed by using SPSS 26.0. The results were as follows; Firstly, communication and creating of participation climate as a subcomponent of team leader's facilitation competency had a significantly positive effect(+) on team effectiveness(team performance, team commitment). Also the task and systematization had a significantly positive influence(+) on team commitment. Secondly, not only communication and creating of participation climate of team leader's facilitation competency but also task and systematization had a significantly positive effect(+) on the shared leadership. Thirdly, the shared leadership had a significantly positive effect(+) on team effectiveness(team performance, team commitment). Lastly, the shared leadership in the relationship between team leaders' facilitation competency and team effectiveness was confirmed to have a partially mediated effect. This study is meaningful in that it theoretically expanded the facilitation research by finding the relationship between team leaders' facilitation competency and other variables as well as suggested practical implications by presenting directions for the roles and competencies of leader and member required by the modern organization.

Doubly-robust Q-estimation in observational studies with high-dimensional covariates (고차원 관측자료에서의 Q-학습 모형에 대한 이중강건성 연구)

  • Dynamic treatment regimes (DTRs) are decision-making rules designed to provide personalized treatment to individuals in multi-stage randomized trials. Unlike classical methods, in which all individuals are prescribed the same type of treatment, DTRs prescribe patient-tailored treatments which take into account individual characteristics that may change over time. The Q-learning method, one of regression-based algorithms to figure out optimal treatment rules, becomes more popular as it can be easily implemented. However, the performance of the Q-learning algorithm heavily relies on the correct specification of the Q-function for response, especially in observational studies. In this article, we examine a number of double-robust weighted least-squares estimating methods for Q-learning in high-dimensional settings, where treatment models for propensity score and penalization for sparse estimation are also investigated. We further consider flexible ensemble machine learning methods for the treatment model to achieve double-robustness, so that optimal decision rule can be correctly estimated as long as at least one of the outcome model or treatment model is correct. Extensive simulation studies show that the proposed methods work well with practical sample sizes. The practical utility of the proposed methods is proven with real data example.

  • We reviewed the methods employed in Korean tidal flat surveys to measure the local abundance of the endangered wildlife and marine protected species, the fiddler crab, Austruca lactea. A complete census for infinite population is impossible even in a limited habitat within a tidal flat, and density estimates from samples strongly vary due to diverse biological and ecological factors. The habitat boundaries and areas shift with periodicities or rhythmic activities of organisms as well as measurement errors. Hence the local abundance calculated from density and habitat areas should be regarded as transient. This conjecture was valid based on the spatio-temporal variations of the density averages, standard error ranges, and spatial distribution of the crab, A. lactea observed for 3 years (2015-2017) in Songdo tidal flat in Incheon. We proposed the potential habitat areas using the occurrence probability of 50% from logistic regression model, reflecting the importance of habitat conservation value as an alternative to local abundance. The spatial shape of potential habitat predicted from a generalized model would remain constant over time unless the species' critical environmental conditions change rapidly. The species-specific model is expected to be used for the introduction of desired species in future habitat restoration/creation projects.

Analysis of Globalization After COVID-19 Based on Network (네트워크 기반 코로나바이러스감염증-19 이후 세계화 분석)

  • 2020 was a year in which the world spent in disorder due to the pandemic of Coronavirus infection-19(COVID-19). The pandemic was at the beginning of a turning point in history. For examples, the Black Death(Pest) that destroyed the feudal system of medieval Europe in the 14th century, smallpox that led to the destruction of the Inca Empire by Spain in the 17th century, and the Spanish flu that ended World War I early. The great transformation that will come after COVID-19 is presented from various fields and perspectives, but the understanding and direction of the transformation is ambiguous. This study attempts to derive and to analyze core terms based on a network of the future of globalization after COVID-19. Four Networks related to globalization, anti-globalization, and globalization and digitalization after COVID-19 were established respectively. A network integrating four networks was also constructed. The core terms were extracted from the hub nodes, the stress centrality, and the simplified network to which the K-core algorithm was applied. After COVID-19, the changes in globalization were analyzed from the extracted core terms. This study is thought to be meaningful to propose a method of deriving and analyzing core terms based on a network in understanding social changes after COVID-19.
