Load capacity simulation of PTO gears for a small cultivator during rotary ditching operation (구굴 작업에 따른 소형 관리기의 PTO 기어 부하 용량 시뮬레이션)

  • 지속적인 고령화 추세에 따라 여성과 고령층의 노동력이 차지하는 비율이 높아지고 있어, 사용하기 편리한 소형농기계의 요구가 증가하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서 사용한 소형 관리기는 정식 작업 전 경운, 정지 등 다양한 작업이 가능한 농기계이다. 본 연구에서는 소형 관리기에 토크 측정 시스템을 구성하였으며, 작업 중 가장 큰 부하를 받는 구굴 작업 부하를 측정하였다. 또한, 작업 시 가장 직접적으로 영향을 받는 PTO (Power Take Off) 기어의 부하 용량(load capacity)을 기어 해석 소프트웨어를 이용하여 분석하였다. PTO 기어의 부하 용량은 안전율, 피로수명을 대상으로 평가하였다. 측정된 부하 데이터는 변동 하중이므로, 부하 크기와 빈도수의 규칙적인 신호로 단순화하기 위하여 레인플로우 카운팅 방법을 사용하였으며, SWT (Smith-Watson-Topper) 방법을 이용하여 공칭 토크를 계산하였다. PTO 기어의 안전율은 ISO 6336, 피로 수명은 마이너 법칙(Miner rule)을 이용하여 계산하였다. PTO의 변속 단수 총 2단이며, 5개의 스퍼 기어로 구성되어 있다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 소형 관리기의 주행 속도 또는 PTO의 회전속도 증가에 따라 PTO에서 발생하는 평균 부하가 크게 나타났다. 또한 주행 단수 및 PTO 기어 단수가 증가할수록 기어의 안전율과 피로 수명이 감소하였으며, 특히 PTO 기어의 안전율은 접촉 응력에서의 안전율보다 굽힘 응력에서의 안전율이 급격하게 감소하였다. 소형 관리기의 PTO 수명은 주행 단수 2단, PTO 단수 2단 일 때 가장 적게 나타났다. 따라서 소형 관리기의 주행 속도와 PTO 회전 속도를 저속으로 작업하는 것이 PTO 기어의 수명에 더 유리할 것으로 판단된다.

A Study on the High Temperature Creep Crack Growth Properties for Steam Turbine Rotor Steel under Static and Cyclic Loading Condition (화력 발전용 고압 로터강의 정하중 및 변동하중하의 고온 크립 균열전파 특성에 관한 연구)

  • The crack length measurements by electrical potential(EP) method for 1% Cr-Mo-V and 12%Cr steel of 0.5T-CT specimen were performed at $500^{\circ}C, 600^{\circ}C 700^{\circ}C$, and an applicability of stress intensity factor($K_I$), net section stress($\sigma_{net}$), $C^*$-ingegral and $C_t$ parameter was studied to measure creep crack growth rate(da/dt) with side groove and without side groove under static and cyclic loading condition. The experimental result could be summarized as follows: 1) Crack measurement by EP method was available and coincided with the Johnson,s analytical equation. 2) da/dt by $K_I$ and $\sigma_{net}$ was not adequate because of the wide scatter band according to load and temperature, but $C^*$-integral, except for transition region, was adequate. 3) $C_t$ parameter showed the best fitted line through total creep region without relating with both temperature and load condition. 4) Under the cyclic loading condition, $C_t$ parameter was proper to extimate da/dt. And it was shown that da/dt for 1% Cr-Mo V steel under the static condition(R=1) was 1.16 times faster than the case under cyclic loading(R=0), and for 12% Cr steel, 1.43 times.

Statistical Distribution of Fatigue Life of Composite Materials for Small Wind-Turbine Blades (소형풍력발전 블레이드용 복합재료의 피로수명 분포에 대한 확률론적 평가)

  • This paper deals with several statistical distribution functions for the analysis of fatigue life data of composite laminates for small wind-turbine blades. A series of tensile tests was performed on triaxial glass/epoxy laminates for loading directions of $0^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$, and $90^{\circ}$. Then, fatigue tests were carried out to determine the fatigue life at the aforementioned loading directions and the fatigue stresses at four levels. Two-parameter Weibull, three-parameter Weibull, normal, and log-normal distributions were used to fit the fatigue life data of the triaxial composite laminates. The three-parameter Weibull distribution most accurately described the fatigue life data measured experimentally for all the cases considered. Furthermore, the variation of fatigue life was simultaneously affected by the loading direction and fatigue stress level.

  • The necessity and importance of fatigue failure to variable load has been appreciated as the structural design technique develops and use of high tensile steel is increasing. This is much more appreciated for a large ship such as VLCC. The rigorous fatigue analysis and safety assessment should be, hence, carried out at the design stage to avoid the possibility of fatigue failure and to achieve the design result having a sufficient structural safety to fatigue strength. This paper deals with an efficient spectral fatigue analysis of ship structures by introducing the concept of stress influence coefficient. In the process included are probabilistic loading analysis, evaluation of long-term distribution of stress range and estimation of fatigue life applying the spectral fatigue analysis. An integrated computer program has been developed in which reliability analysis to fatigue strength is also included and has been applied to D/H VLCC.

Simulation of the Debris Flow Using FLO-2D According to Curve-shape Changes in Bed Slopes (FLO-2D를 활용한 경사지 형상에 따른 토석류 흐름양상에 대한 수치모의)

  • Due to a high portion of mountainous terrains in Korea, debris flow and its disasters have been increased. In addition, recently localized flash-floods caused by climate change should add frequencies and potential risks. Grasping and understanding the behaviors of debris flow would allow us to prevent the consequent disasters caused by its occurrence. In this study, we developed a number of cases by changing the bottom slopes and their curvatures and investigated their effects on potential damage caused by the debris flow using FLO-2D. As simulating each bed slopes we analyzed for velocity, depth, impact, reach distance, and reach shape. As a result the lower the average slope, the greater the influence of its curvature and the numerical results were analyzed with showed a well-marked difference in impact stress and flow velocity. The result from this study could be referred for protecting from the debris flows when design countermeasure structures in mountainous regions.

  • Bascule bridge, with its use to help vessels ply, has a several examples overseas of being serviced for more than decades years by careful maintenance, admitted its significance as landmarks for its rareness. Yeongdo Bridge, the sole bascule bridge in Korea was reconstructed in 2013 after being demolished because of its corrosion and aging, and now operates once in a day. Recently, safety inspections are executed thanks to demands getting higher for maintenance and safety of bridges, but measurement and analysis about bascule bridges are scarce. This study includes the analysis of the bascule bridge's behavior such as stress, vibration and reaction in normal condition and while it lifts up, based on measurement. We expect that this study will be used as an initial data to compare and confirm bridge's changes as service year and the number of operation increase.

Applicability Evaluation of Using Logarithmic velocity law for Assessing Local Shear Stress in Straight and Meandering River Channel (직선 및 사행 하천에서의 대수법칙를 이용한 국부 소류력 산정 적용성 검토)

  • 하천에서 발생하는 소류력은 하상 변동을 발생시키기 때문에 주변 구조물이나 하천의 흐름특성 등을 변화시키게 되며, 유사이송, 침식 및 퇴적, 유동해석 등에 매우 중요한 하천 계수이다. 하천에서 소류력의 직접 측정은 매우 어려워 직접 측정 대신 하천경사 및 동수반경을 기반한 단면 평균소류력 산정 공식을 일반적으로 이용한다. 그러나, 이러한 방식은 상세한 유사이송, 세굴 등의 해석에는 한계가 있기 때문에 국부적인 소류력이 필요하다. 실내 실험에서는 프레스톤게이지를 활용한 직접 측정이나, 난류측정을 통한 레이놀즈 분포를 외삽하여 단면에서 국부적인 소류력을 측정하는 방식이 사용되어 왔다. 반면, 실제 하천에서는 국부 소류력 직접측정 및 난류 산정이 거의 불가능하거나 비효율적이므로 대안으로 하천의 연직유속분포에 대수분포를 적용하여 소류력을 추정하는 간접적인 방법이 제시되어 왔다. 일부 실내실험에서 대수법칙을 통한 소류력 산정 방식은 직접 측정을 통해 검증한 바가 있으나 실제 하천은 난류의 공간 시간적 스케일이 실내 규모와 상이하여 국부 소류력에 영향을 미칠 수 있어 이러한 검증결과를 현장 적용하기에는 한계가 있다. 본 연구에서는 실제 규모 하천에서 대수법칙을 활용한 국부 소류력 산정 결과와 레이놀즈 응력의 연직분포 측정을 통해 산정한 값과 비교하여 대수법칙 활용 소류력 산정 방식의 적용성을 검토하였다. 실험은 중소규모의 하천을 재현한 한국건설기술연구원 안동하천실험센터 직선(A1) 및 사행(A2) 하천의 유속측정을 수행하였으며, 유속 측정에는 정밀도가 높으나 실내에서 주로 사용된 초음파지점유속계(Micro ADV)를 현장에 설치하여 사용하였다. ADV의 관측 시간은 90초이며, 직선수로에서는 횡방향으로 25 cm 간격, 수심방향으로는 5 ~ 10 cm 간격으로 측정하였고, 사행수로는 횡방향으로 50 cm 간격, 수심방향 5 ~ 10 cm 간격으로 측정을 수행하였다. 실험결과 대수법칙과 레이놀즈 분포로부터 산정된 국부 소류력은 사행과 직선 모두 상당한 이격을 보였다.

  • Post-tensioned prestressed concrete members experience immediate prestress losses as well as time-dependent prestress losses such as creep, dry shrinkage and relaxation. In addition, the stress of the upper and lower parts of the member changes due to the change in dead load due to the replacement of the upper slab and/or pavement. Such changes in fiber stress may affect the safety of the member, and it is necessary to adjust the prestressing force. Therefore, in this study, a screw type of re-tensioning post-tension kit is proposed, and it is verified that the safety against load and the stability against strain are satisfied through the load transfer test specified in EAD160004 and KCI-PS101.

Reliability Analysis of Final Settlement Using Terzaghi's Consolidation Theory (테르자기 압밀이론을 이용한 최종압밀침하량에 관한 신뢰성 해석)

  • In performing the reliability analysis for predicting the settlement with time of alluvial clay layer at Kobe airport, the uncertainties of geotechnical properties were examined based on the stochastic and probabilistic theory. By using Terzaghi's consolidation theory as the objective function, the failure probability was normalized based on AFOSM method. As the result of reliability analysis, the occurrence probabilities for the cases of the target settlement of ${\pm}10%,\;{\pm}25%$ of the total settlement from the deterministic analysis were 30~50%, 60%~90%, respectively. Considering that the variation coefficients of input variable are almost similar as those of past researches, the acceptable error range of the total settlement would be expected in the range of 10% of the predicted total settlement. As the result of sensitivity analysis, the factors which affect significantly on the settlement analysis were the uncertainties of the compression coefficient Cc, the pre-consolidation stress Pc, and the prediction model employed. Accordingly, it is very important for the reliable prediction with high reliability to obtain reliable soil properties such as Cc and Pc by performing laboratory tests in which the in-situ stress and strain conditions are properly simulated.
