AThis research is rather on the crime occurrence of target area's space scope than on the approach to the cause of specific area's crime occurrence from the perspective of the environmental criminology emphasizing the crime prevention. By observing the composition of crime distribution, it is intended to search the strategies of crime prevention actually corresponded to the crime problems. For this, after segmenting the city into six sectors, targeting city crimes in Gwangju metropolitan city, in 2004, the basic materials about the crime frequency are analyzed through dividing the types on the base of the present state of crime occurrence, the types of crime, the locations of crime occurrence, the purposes of buildings, the types of intruders, the forms of intrusions. As a result of research. it is suggested that the activation method of community police activities is necessary for the prevention of community crime prevention.

In recent years, the number of scams related to voice phishing has been on the decline, but the number of messenger phishing attacks, a new type of crime, is increasing. In this study, by analyzing SNS posts containing messenger phishing cases, criminal trends of the main methods, imposture of trusted relative and fake payment were identified. Through the analysis, main words and patterns composing the message and the similarity and continuity of the phone numbers used were derived as criminal attributes, and criminal organizations were grouped. As the results of the analysis, we propose a cooperative system to prevent damage from messenger phishing by disseminating the criminal information collected by investigative agencies to private operators, and a plan to respond to messenger phishing predicted through grouping of criminal organizations.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the changes in the pattern of crimes caused by the spread and slowdown of coronavirus infections and to devise preventive and countermeasures against various crimes in the future. Method: In order to find out the characteristics of each crime in the non-face-to-face and face-to-face environment, the results of previous prior research and data officially released by the National Police Agency and the prosecution office were compared and analyzed. Result: In the early epidemic of infectious diseases, overall crime has decreased, and civil life-related crimes and crimes targeting the socially disadvantaged are increasing. In the second half of the infectious disease, unlike the first half, the prolonged corona caused the economic recession and unemployment, deepening the damage from illegal private finance and significantly increasing illegal gambling game crimes. Conclusion: According to the time of the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the quarterly crime characteristics showed that there was a difference in crime type and crime increase and decrease rate, and that crime response measures should be changed accordingly.

The purpose of this study focused on the distribution of crimes in Cheongju City. This study emphasized the characteristics of place and spatial pattern of crime in Central Business District(CBD). The crime core areas were delineated and explained through land-use based on fieldwork and GIS analysis For this aim. the police crime data of Cheongju Dongbu(east). Seobu(west) for 1998 were collected In which 3.909 indictable or similar offenses were reported. In this study, Included climes are murder. rape, robbery. arson, theft, burglary, assault and vandalism. Because theme crimes are related with site-specific crime. As a result. land-use patterns are often related to specific type of offenses. The climes in Cheongju City were concentrated in the CBD Most crimes were assaults and thefts Crime areas can be classified by the age of the offender Around Chungang and Pungmul Market in the CBD. the offender＇s ages were 30-50 dominantly Assaults and thefts were concentrated in Songan-gil(street). which is a place teen-ages and youngsters meet frequently The result of the buffering analysis with roads, explained 40% of crime within a 30m buffer area( including both sides) of a principal road The rest of the climes mainly occurred in the vicinity of narrow streets and alleys.

Now we are facing with a possibility of having crimes, which have been only possible offline, in cyber spaces as well.Especially, a recent growth in the use of SNS, promoted by popularization of smart phones, also has led an abrupt increase in cyber crime. It would be important to have a understanding of cyber crime and its characteristics by type as well as factors associated with each type of cyber crime in order to devise appropriate preventive measures against cyber crime. However, most of the previous studies on cyber crimesolely made through literature review or indirect approaches. Therefore, this study has been designed to conduct the interview with actual suspects(criminals) of cyber crime to address factors of cyber crime and to devise specific preventive measures and countermeasures against cyber crime. Especially, among various types of cyber crime, this study aims at addressing the 'trades' and 'financial transaction' of crimes committed using the information and communication network and the 'cyber libel/insult'of crimes committed using unlicensed contents, which have been soared recently and become significant issues. The findings of this study could be beneficial for the society since it has managed to conduct the interview and reveal relationships among major factors of cyber crime. The findings of this study could be used for devising and developing proper preventive and countermeasures against cyber crime, in turn reducing and preventing its damage.

Cyber forensics is used the process and technology of digital forensics as a criminal investigation in cyber space. Cyber crime is classified into cyber terror and general cyber crime, and those two classes are connected with each other. The investigation of cyber terror requires high technology, system environment and experts, and general cyber crime is connected with general crime by evidence from digital data in cyber space. Accordingly, it is difficult to determine relational crime types, collect evidence and the legal admissibility of evidence. Therefore, we considered the classifications of cyber crime, the collection of evidence in cyber space and the application of laws to cyber crime. In order to efficiently investigate cyber crime, it is necessary to integrate those concepts for each cyber crime-case. In this paper, we constructed a cyber forensics domain ontology for cyber criminal investigation using the concepts, relations and properties, according to categories of cyber crime, laws, evidence, and information of criminals and crime-cases. This ontology can be used in the process of investigating of cyber crime-cases, and for data mining of cyber crime; classification, clustering, association and detection of crime types, crime cases, evidences and criminals.

본 연구는 여성 안전에 대한 다양한 정책이 시행되었지만, 공공장소에서의 여성의 안전을 위협하는 사건과 사고는 지속해서 발생하고 있다. 최근 여성 대상 범죄, 특히 성폭력 범죄가 매우 높아지면서 공공장소에서의 여성 안전에 대한 문제가 대두되고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 여성 안전사고 발생 원인을 분석하여 그 원인을 해결할 수 있는 전략과 방안들을 개발하는 연구가 필요하며, 이를 통해 여성들이 공공장소에서 안전하게 생활할 수 있는 환경을 조성할 수 있다. 따라서 공공장소에서의 여성 안전 개선방안 연구는 매우 중요하다. 그러기 위해서는 첫째 범죄율을 분석, 공공장소에서 여성 범죄의 유형 및 발생 경로에 대해 분석하여 언제, 어디서, 어떤 유형의 범죄가 발생하는지 파악한다. 둘째 교육 및 정보 제공, 여성들에게 주변 위험 요소와 대처 방법, 보호시설 위치 등을 교육하고 정보를 제공하여 위험 상황으로부터 탈출하거나 대처할 수 있도록 한다. 셋째 시설 개선, 공공장소의 설계나 조명, 치안 등을 개선하여 여성들이 안전하게 사용할 수 있는 환경을 조성한다. 넷째 적극적인 관리, 공공장소에서 범죄가 발생하거나 이에 대한 우려가 있을 때, 적극적으로 주변 상황을 관찰하고 대처한다. 다섯 번째 커뮤니티 참여, 지역사회와 함께 여성 안전에 대한 캠페인을 전개하고, 지역주민들의 적극적인 참여와 지원을 유도하여 여성 안전의식을 확산시킨다. 이러한 방법들을 적극적으로 활용하여 여성들이 더욱 안전하고 편안한 환경에서 일상생활을 영위할 수 있는 사회적으로 안전한 여성 안전 문제에 대한 개선방안을 제시한다.

지난해 등장한 정보보호 관련 사건의 특징 중 하나는 금전적 이익을 목적으로 한 사이버 범죄가 본격적으로 등장했다는 점이다. 이런 유형의 범죄는 비단 국내뿐만이 아니라, 미국, 유럽 등 전 세계적인 관심사로 떠올랐다. 이런 의미에서 지난 10월 경찰청 주최로 개최된 '국제 사이버테러 대응 공동심포지움' 참석차 한국을 방문한 독일 BKA소속 Mirko Manske로부터 독일 및 EU 지역의 사이버 범죄 현황에 대한 의견을 들어봤다. Mirko Manske는 독일 연방 범죄 경찰국(Bundeskr-iminalant, BKA) 소속으로 지난 2006년부터 국내 경찰청 사이버테러대응센터에 해당하는 BKA 내 National High Tech Crime Unit(NHTCU)의 정보분석 및 수집 전문가로 활동하고 있다

The aim of this study is to analyze the periodical and spatial characteristics of urban crime and to find out the factors that affect the crime occurrence. For these, crime data of Masan City was examined and crime occurrence pattern is ploted on a map using crime density and criminal hotspot analysis. The spatial relationship of crime occurrence and factors affecting crime were also investigated using ESDA (Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis) and SAR (Spatial Auto-Regression) model. As a result, it was found that crimes had strong tendency of happening during a certain period of time and with spatial contiguity. Spatial contiguity of crimes was made clear through the spatial autocorrelation analysis on 5 major crimes. Especially, robbery revealed the highest spatial autocorrelation. However as a autocorrelation model, Spatial Error Model(SEM) had statistically the highest goodness of fit. Moreover, the model proved that old age population ratio, property tax, wholesale-retail shop number, and retail & wholesale number were statistically significant that affect crime occurrence of 5 most major crimes and theft crime. However population density affected negatively on assault crime. Lastly, the findings of this study are expected to provide meaningful ideas to make our cities safer with U-City strategies and services.
