Proposal of Fast Counting Sort (빠른 계수 정렬법의 제안)

  • Among comparison sorts, no algorithm excels a current set lower bound of O(nlogn) in operation. Quicksort, the fastest of its kind, has a complexity of O(nlogn) at its best and on average and $O(n^2)$ at worst. This paper thus presents two methods: first is an O(n+k) simple counting sort which operates much more speedily than an O(n+k), (k=maximum value) counting sort, and second is an O(ln) radix counting sort which counts the frequency of numbers in the digit l of a data and saves it in a corresponding virtual bucket in an array, only to virtually divide the array into radix digit numbers. For the 6 experimental data, the proposed algorithm makes O(nlogn) or $O(n^2)$ of Quicksort simple into O(n+k) or O(ln). After all, the proposed sorting algorithm has proved to be much faster than the counting sort and Quicksort.

A Study on Design of Offshore Meteorological Tower (해상기상탑 설계에 관한 연구)

  • A meteorological(met) tower is the first structure installed during the planning stages of offshore wind farm. The purpose of this paper is to design the met tower with tripod bucket type support structure and to install the sensors. The support structure consist of a central steel shaft connected to three cylindrical steel suction buckets which is more cheaper than monopile or jacket type. And the remote wind condition sensors and marine monitoring equipment, including adcp, pressure type tide gauge, wave height sensors, and scour sensors, remote power supply are installed. The manufactured met tower constructed on sea area which is in front of Gasa island. All of functions of met tower showed normal operation conditions and the wind data got by remote data collection system successfully.

  • DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack is a critical threat to current Internet. To solve the detection and response of DDoS attack on BcN, we have investigated detection algorithms of DDoS and Implemented anomaly detection modules. Recently too many technologies of the detection and prevention have developed, but it is difficult that the IDS distinguishes normal traffic from the DDoS attack Therefore, when the DDoS attack is detected by the IDS, the firewall just discards all over-bounded traffic for a victim or absolutely decreases the threshold of the router. That is just only a method for preventing the DDoS attack. This paper proposed the mechanism of response for the legitimated clients to be protected Then, we have designed and implemented the statistic based system that has the automated detection and response functionality against DDoS on Linux Zebra router environment.

Learning of Fuzzy Rules Using Fuzzy Classifier System (퍼지 분류자 시스템을 이용한 퍼지 규칙의 학습)

  • In this paper, we propose a Fuzzy Classifier System(FCS) makes the classifier system be able to carry out the mapping from continuous inputs to outputs. The FCS is based on the fuzzy controller system combined with machine learning. Therefore the antecedent and consequent of a classifier in FCS are the same as those of a fuzzy rule. In this paper, the FCS modifies input message to fuzzified message and stores those in the message list. The FCS constructs rule-base through matching between messages of message list and classifiers of fuzzy classifier list. The FCS verifies the effectiveness of classifiers using Bucket Brigade algorithm. Also the FCS employs the Genetic Algorithms to generate new rules and modify rules when performance of the system needs to be improved. Then the FCS finds the set of the effective rules. We will verify the effectiveness of the poposed FCS by applying it to Autonomous Mobile Robot avoiding the obstacle and reaching the goal.

Buildability of 3D Printed Concrete Structures at Various Nozzle Speeds and Aspect Ratios (노즐이동속도와 변장비에 따른 3D 프린팅 콘크리트 구조물의 시공성)

  • In this study, an experimental study on the buildability of the structure using the developed printing materials and equipment was performed. Experimental variables included the moving speed of nozzles(=80 and 100mm/s), the revolutions per minute (RPM) of screw in discharge buckets, and the aspect ratio(=1.67 and 5.00) reflecting wall length of the structures. Buildability of the 3D printed concrete structures was analyzed based on the maximum decomposition layer and collapse patterns of the structures according to the experimental variables. The nozzle movement speed of 80mm/s and the aspect ratio of 1.67 were favorable for 3D printing in this study. The collapse process of structure due to uneven layer decomposition was also analyzed through the relative displacement measurement of the lower part of the structure during printing.

Disabled Alpine Ski Athlete's Kinematic Characteristic Changes by Computer Aided Design Based Mono Ski Bucket: A Case Study (컴퓨터 디자인 기반 모노스키 버킷 사용에 따른 장애인 알파인 스키 선수의 운동학적 특성 변화 연구: 사례 연구)

  • The purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of CAD (Computer Aided Design) based alpine mono-ski bucket design on disabled ski athletes' kinematic characteristics. Two national team ski athletes with LW11 disabilities (Locomotion Winter Classification) category for sit ski participated in both pre and post experiment. Both of the subjects performed 3 trials of carved turn on a ski slope under two conditions. Where, subject "A" performed pre experiment with personal bucket and post experiment with the newly developed CAD based bucket whereas, Subject "B" as control subject performed both pre and post experiment with his personal bucket. For the experiment, 24 Infrared cameras were positioned on the ski slope which covered the path of the ski turn. Also, motion capture suit with reflective markers were worn by both subjects. In the result, decrement in medial/lateral displacement of COM, anterior/posterior displacement of COM, flexion/extension angle of trunk as well as velocity losing rate of COM was observed in subject "A" when using the newly developed CAD based bucket. In contrast, no larger effect on performance was observed when using personal buckets. In conclusion, the findings obtained from the study indicated effectiveness of newly developed CAD based bucket by reducing excessive movement of hip and trunk which is an important factor to perform an effective turn.

Evaluation of Horizontal Load and Moment Capacities of Bucket-Type Offshore Wind Turbine Foundation (버켓형식 해상풍력기초의 수평 하중과 모멘트 저항력 평가)

  • Owing to economically efficient and easy installation, bucket foundation is a promising solution for offshore wind turbines. This paper aims at finding the behavior of suction caissons and soil surrounding the foundation by using three-dimensional finite element analysis. Under various loading conditions, a wide range of foundation geometries installed in dense and medium dense sandy soil was considered to evaluate ultimate horizontal load and overturning moment capacity. The results show that the rotation and displacement of the bucket due to monotonic loading are largely dependent on the foundation geometry, soil density and load eccentricity. Normalized diagrams and equations for the ultimate horizontal load and overturning moment capacities are presented that are useful tool for the preliminary design of such foundation type.

An Index Structure for Efficiently Handling Dynamic User Preferences and Multidimensional Data (다차원 데이터 및 동적 이용자 선호도를 위한 색인 구조의 연구)

  • R-tree is index structure which is frequently used for handling spatial data. However, if the number of dimensions increases, or if only partial dimensions are used for searching the certain data according to user preference, the time for indexing is greatly increased and the efficiency of the generated R-tree is greatly reduced. Hence, it is not suitable for the multidimensional data, where dimensions are continuously increasing. In this paper, we propose a multidimensional hash index, a new multidimensional index structure based on a hash index. The multidimensional hash index classifies data into buckets of euclidean space through a hash function, and then, when an actual search is requested, generates a hash search tree for effective searching. The generated hash search tree is able to handle user preferences in selected dimensional space. Experimental results show that the proposed method has better indexing performance than R-tree, while maintaining the similar search performance.

  • 도시하천유역이나 복합유역 등 지역적 성향을 고려한 도달시간 산정에 관한 연구는 현재까지도 미흡한 실정이다. 소규모 유역의 홍수량을 산정할 경우 유하시간보다 유입시간 비중이 상대적으로 크다. 그러나 유하시간만을 고려하여 도달시간을 산정할 때, 소규모 유역의 경우 하도가 없고 유역면적이 5km2 내외 또는 하도의 저류 효과를 기대할 수 없는 경우 도달시간이 짧아 홍수량이 과대 산정된다. 이를 극복하고자 재해영향성평가등의 협의 실무지침에서는 도달시간 이외에 매개변수인 저류상수를 인위적으로 증가시키는 방법을 제안하고 있다. 하지만 이 방법 역시 유역의 물리적인 특성을 나타내는 변수를 왜곡한다는 근복적인 문제를 완전히 해결하지 못하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기존 중·대규모 하천을 대상으로 수행된 연구결과를 바탕으로 제안된 홍수 도달시간 산정방법의 한계를 극복하고, 유입시간이 지배적인 소규모 복합유역에 적용 가능한 도달시간 산정방안을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 실증실험을 통해 기존 유입시간 산정식을 개선하고, 도시수문 모니터링 시범유역에 적용하여 정확성을 평가하고자 하였다. 먼저, 홍수도달 시간 측정을 위한 강우유출 실내 실험장치를 제작하였다. 실험장치는 본체(길이3m×폭1.2m×높이0.8m)와 경사조절 장치(0~15도)를 포함하고 있다. 본체 전면부를 타공(ø10mm)하고 상·하단에서 지표와 기저유출을 집수하여 티핑버킷으로 유량을 측정하였고, 토체 내에는 토양수분센서를 설치하여 강우유출 발생시간 동안 토양수분 변화를 측정하였다. 본 연구에서는 하도흐름인 유하시간(Kraven 공식)을 계산하여 도달시간을 산정하기 보다 지표면 흐름인 유입시간(Kerby 공식)에 보정계수를 도입하여 도달시간을 산정하는 방안을 검토하였다. 실험 결과, 불투수 면적비율이 증가함에 따라 도달시간은 감소하고, 불투수 유역이 하류에 위치할수록 유출발생시간이 빨라졌다. 실증실험 결과를 바탕으로 도시수문 모니터링 시범유역에 적용하여 기존 유하시간과 저류상수를 보정하는 도달시간 산정방식(연속형 Kraven)과 유입시간을 보정한 도달시간 산정(수정 Kerby)으로 도출된 유출량을 실측 유량과 비교하였다. 그 결과 제안된 홍수도달시간 산정식에서 모의된 홍수량이 기존 방식과 유사하거나 우수한 첨두홍수량을 보였으며, 설계자 임의성이 배제된 일관성있는 해석값을 제시해 줄 것으로 판단된다.

Design of Traffic Control Scheme for Supporting the Fairness of Downstream in Ethernet-PON (이더넷 기반 광가입자망에서 공평성 보장을 위한 하향 트래픽 제어 기법 설계)

  • Ethernet-PON is an emerging access network technology that provides a low-cost method of deploying optical access lines between OLT and ONUs. It has a point-to-multipoint and multipoint-to-point architecture in downstream and upstream direction, respectively. Therefore, downstream packets are broadcast from an OLT toward all ONUs sithout collision. On the other hand, since alt ONUs share a common channel, the collision may be occurred for the upstream transmission. Therefore, earlier efforts on Ethernet-PON have been concentrated on an upstream MAC protocol to avoid collision. But it is needed to control downstream traffic in practical access network, where the network provider limits available bandwidth according to the number of users. In this paper, we propose a traffic control scheme for supporting the fairness of the downstream bandwidth. The objective of this algorithm is to guarantee the fairness of ONUs while maintaining good performance. In order to do this, we define the service probability that considers the past traffic information for downstream, the number of tokens and the relative size of negotiated bandwidth. We develop the simulation model for Ethernet-PON to evaluate the rate-limiting algorithm by using AWESIM. Some results are evaluated and analyzed in terms of defined fairness factor, delay and dropping rate under various scenario.
