Evaluation on Mix Characteristics of Concrete Using Fine Sand of Nakdong-River (낙동강 세사를 사용한 콘크리트의 배합특성 평가)

  • The purpose of this experimental research is to suggest a base data to utilize the fine sand of Nakdong-River actively as an alternative aggregate for concrete. For this purpose, after the typical fine sand samples were collected at the mid stream and down stream of main stream of Nakdong-River, the physical properties of them and the mix characteristics of concrete using those were estimated. As a result, it was observed from the test result that mix characteristics between concrete using fine sand and concrete using well-graded reference sand made little differences since unit water content and unit cement content of concrete using fine sand increased only a little than those of concrete using reference sand for specified compressive strength.

Physical and Chemical Properties of Charcoal Added Paper for Cigarette Filter (활성탄 첨가에 따른 담배용 필터지의 이화학적 특성)

  • 담배용 필터에 사용되고 있는 재료는 아세테이트, 종이, 폴리프로펼렌, 부직포등이 주로 이용되고 있으 며 담배연기의 흡착능을 향상시키기 위한 방법으로 활성탄 제오라이트와 같은 흡착제를 담배필터에 첨가하여 사용하고 있다. 본 실험에서는 펼터에 가장 보편적으로 많이 사용하고 있는 활성탄을 종이 제조과정에 첨가하여 나타나는 물리적 특성을 관찰하였고 제조된 종이를 담배필터에 적용하기 위하여 현행 습식 크림핑(crimping)방법과는 달리 건식 크림핑(crimping)방법을 이용한 적합한 조건을 검토하 였으며 이에 따른 담배필터에서의 연기흡착능을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 시트의 물리적 특성과 담배 연기성분 홉착능을 예측하기 위하여 펄프의 불성과 uv 홉착능을 분 석한 결과 Sw-BKP가 Hw-BKP에 비하여 강도적 성질이 우수하였고 또한 메틸렌불루(methylene b blue) 흡착능도 높은 경 향을 나타내 었다. 2. 활성탄 함량의 증가에 따라 섬유간의 결합력이 약화됨에 따라서 시트의 인장강도 및 파열강도가 감 소하는 경향이 가장 크게 나타났으며 평량이 펼프 배합비보다 높은 인자로 작용하였다. 또한 인자 간의 교호작용에서는 평량과 활성탄 함량에 따라서 크게 나타났으며 평량, Sw-BKP의 함량이 증가할 수록 인장강도는 증가하였다. 3. Stiffness는 활성탄 함량 펄프 배합비 평량의 순에따라 중요한 인자로 작용하였고 활성탄 함량 이 많을수록 stiffness는 감소하였으며 평 량 Sw-BKP의 함량이 높을수록 증가하였다 인자간의 교 호작용은 평량과 활성탄 함량이 다른 요인에 비하여 높은 경향을 보였다. 4. 인열강도는 활성탄 함량이 증가함에 따라 가장 크게 감소하였고 시트의 평량이 펄프 배합비보다 높은 인자로 작용하였으며 평 량 Sw-BKP의 함량이 높을수록 증가하였다 인자간의 교호작용에서는 펄프 배합비와 활성탄 함량에 따라 크게 나타났다. 5. 종이 필터지에서 시트의 평량이 bulk에 가장 큰 인자로 작용하였는데 이는 같은 두께에서 평량올 변화시킨 요인으로 판단되며 시트의 평량이 높을수록 감소하였고 활성탄 함량, Sw-BKP의 배합비 가 높을수록 증가하였다. 또한, 인자간의 교호작용은 평 량과 활성 탄 함량에 따라 크게 작용하였다. 6 6. Crimp index는 관능검사 결과로서 활성탄 함량이 증가함에 따라 현저하게 저하되었으며 평량 및 S Sw-BKP의 배합비가 높을수록 양호한 결과를 나타내었다. 인자간의 교호작용에서는 평량과 펄프 배합비에 따라 가장 높은 경향을 나타내었다. 7 활성탄을 첨가하여 제조한 종이필터의 담배 연기성분 흡착능은 acetate tow에 charcoal을 첨가한 필터에 비하여 tar흡착능이 6% 이상 향상되었고, 특히 증기상 물질(vapour phase)중 aldehyde류에 대한 제거율(removal efficiency)이 높게 나타났다. 8. 건식 크림핑 방법에 의한 담배필터 제조시 펼프의 홉착능, 시트의 강도적 특성, 크림핑 조건 및 담 배 연기성분 흡착능 등을 고려하여 적정조건을 선정하였으며, 펄프 배합비(Sw-BKP따w-BKP)는 6 65/35, 시트의 평량은 40g/$m^2$ 활성탄 함량은 10% 이었다.

Fundamental characteristics of high early strength low heat concrete according to mineral binder and high early strength material combination (광물질 결합재 및 조강형 재료 조합에 따른 조강형 저발열 콘크리트의 기초적 특성)

  • This study analyzed the fundamental characteristics of concrete according to a ternary system mixing in order to reduce hydration heat of mass concrete and to improve early age strength. The results are as follows. The fluidity of unconsolidated concrete satisfied the target scope regardless of the binder conditions. When the replacement ratio between FA and BS increased, the slump of low heat-A mix and low heat-B mix increased, and air content was not affected by the change of binders. As for setting time, low heat cement mix had the fastest regardless of W/B, and high early strength low heat mix achieved 6 hours' reduction compared with low heat-B mix at initial set, and 12 hours' reduction at the final set respectively. As for the simple hydration heat, the low mix peak temperature was the highest and low heat-B mix had the lowest temperature. And high early strength low heat mix was similar with that of low heat-B. The compressive strength of hardened concrete had similar strength scope in all mixes except for low heat-B mix at early ages, and had unexceptionally similar one without huge differences at long-term ages.

Mixing and Strength Properties of 150MPa Ultra High Strength Concrete (150MPa 초고강도 콘크리트 배합 및 강도발현 특성)

  • Ultra High Strength Concrete(UHSC) is necessary a clear presentation about mechanical property that is different from normal strength concrete and an evaluation of serviceability of high rise building which is used ultra high strength concrete. To mixing ultra high strength concrete with $f_{ck}$=150MPa pre-mix cement were manufactured and experimental study were conducted to evaluated on the mixing properties and compressive strength with major variables as unit cement contents, water-binder ratio and type of pre-mix cement. As a test result, it is shown that the concrete mixing time is required about 5$^{\sim}$6 minute untill the each materials(ordinary portland cement, silica fume, blast-furnace slag powder and anhydrite) are revitalized enough. A slump flow of fresh concrete are shown about 700$^{\sim}$750mm with proper viscosity. And average value of concrete compressive strength are shown about 77% in 7days, 87% in 14days and 102% in 56days for 28days of concrete material age. From this experimental study, a proper mixture proportion of pre-mix cement are recommended about 54$^{\sim}$59% OPC, 25$^{\sim}$30% blast-furnace slag powder and 10$^{\sim}$15% silica fume for mix the ultra high strength concrete with $f_{ck}$=150MPa.

  • This paper presents the mix proportion, production method, and curing condition applied to extruded ECC panel and the evaluation test results of flexural behavior and fiber distribution. Test results shows that the difference in mix proportion results in the change of fiber distribution characteristics which causes difference in flexural behavior.

  • 500나노 입자 및 기본 물성이 우수한 이중층상구조금속수화물(LDH)를 합성하고 PVC 수지에 적용하여 고온, 저온열안정성 및 가공특성으로 인장강도, 신율, 체적저항 등이 우수한 시제품을 합성한 후 개발한 이중층상구조금속수화물(LDH) 시제품을 사용하여 무독성안정제(금속석검계), 내외부활제류, 가공조제, 산화방지제 등 기타 첨가제 등을 사용하여 PVC수지에 적용하여 수지배합에 따른 시험편을 제작하여 배합비별로 고온, 및 저온열안정성, 체적고유저항, 가공성(인장강도, 신율 등), 내후성, 초기 착색성 등 물성, 기계적 가공특성 및 성능이 우수한 할로겐수지용 무독성배합을 개발한다. 최종적으로 개발한 이중층상구조금속수화물(LDH)을 사용하여 제조하여 PVC 수지의 열안정성 및 기계적 가공특성이 우수한 중금속계대체용 무독성복합열안정제를 개발하였다.

  • 콘크리트 구조물이 고온에 가열되면 그 성질이 변화하여 구조물은 다양한 영향을 받는다. 콘크리트 구조물의 고온에서의 성상은 시멘트의 종류, 골재의 성질, 배합비, 함수율, 재령 등에 의해 다르다. 콘크리트의 열성질에 관한 외국에서의 연구는 다수 보고되었으나 국내에서 연구한 결과는 없으며 특히 시멘트의 종류, 골재의 성질 등에 따라 고온에서의 성상이 다르기 때문에 본 연구에서는 국내에서 생산되는 시멘트, 골재를 대상으로 하였다. 또한 콘크리트 배합을 일반 구조물 및 아파트 현장에서 사용하는 배합비로 시험체를 제작ㆍ실험하였다.   • In this study, the relationship between the material properties and air permeability characteristics was examined, an experimental method to analyze the air permeability characteristics was presented, and experimental results were derived. The effects of compressive strength and apparent density of hardened concrete on air permeability characteristics were evaluated experimentally. Focusing on the mix proportions used in nuclear power plant concrete structures, concrete test specimens were manufactured and air permeability characteristics were measured according to changes in binder, maximum aggregate size, and water-binder ratio. The apparent density was over 2,400 kg/m3 for the OPC mix and the FA-35 mix, and the air permeability for both mixes were low, in the range of 0.1-0.2 L/min. On the other hand, in the case of the combination of FA-40, FA-45, and FA-M, the apparent density was measured to be less than 2,400 kg/m3 and the air permeability was measured to be more than 0.3 L/min, experimentally verifying that the apparent density is an important factor in air permeability characteristics.

Evaluation of Chloride Diffusion Characteristics in Concrete with Fly Ash Cured for 2 Years (2년 양생된 Fly Ash 콘크리트의 염화물 확산 특성 평가)

  • When RC(Reinforced Concrete) structures are exposed to harsh environment, deterioration phenomenon occurs, and the corrosion in rebar due to chloride intrusion is known as representative deterioration, so called chloride attack. In this paper, chloride resistance performance of 2 years aged concrete is evaluated considering 3 levels of water to binder ratio(0.37, 0.42, and 0.47) and 2 levels of substitution ratio of fly ash(0% and 30%). Accelerated chloride diffusion coefficient tests referred to Tang's method, total passed charge tests referred to ASTM C 1202, and compressive strength tests referred to KS F 2405 are performed. With adaptation of the previous test results and the results from this study, time-dependent chloride diffusion characteristics are analyzed for each concrete. The FA(Fly Ash) concrete has higher chloride resistance performance than OPC(Ordinary Portland Cement) concrete. According to the evaluation standard of ASTM C 1202, the FA concrete has "Moderate" grade after 49 days while OPC concrete does "Moderate" grade after 365 days. As the results of time-parameter for chloride diffusion, OPC concrete and FA concrete show the decreasing behavior of time-parameters with increasing water to binder ratio. Also, FA concrete has 1.57~2.74 times of time-parameter than OPC concrete. That's cause is thought that the time-parameter indicates the gradient of decreasing of diffusion coefficient. FA concrete has higher time-parameters than OPC concrete by pozzolanic reaction of FA.

Optimum Mix Proportion and Characteristics of the Combined Self Compacting Concrete according to Cement Types (시멘트 종류에 따른 병용계 자기충전 콘크리트의 최적배합비와 특성)

  • This study is aimed to derive the optimum mix proportion of the combined self compacting concrete according to cement types (blast-furnace slag cement and belite cement) and to propose the basic data to field construction work after evaluating the quality properties. Specially, lime stone powder (LSP) as binder and viscosity agent are used in the combined self compacting concrete because slurry wall of an underground LNG storage tank should be kept stability of quality during concrete working. Replacement ratio of LSP is determined by confined water ratio test and main design factors including fine aggregate ratio ($S_r$), coarse aggregate ratio ($G_v$) and water-cement ratio (W/C) are selected. Also, quality properties including setting time, bleeding content, shortening depth and hydration heat on the optimum mix proportion of the combined self compacting concrete according to cement type are compared and analyzed. As test results, the optimum mix proportion of the combined self compacting concrete according to cement type is as followings. 1) Slag cement type-replacement ratio of LSP 13.5%, $S_r$ 47% and W/C 41%. 2) Belite cement type-replacement ratio of LSP 42.7%, Sr 43% and W/C 51%. But optimum coarse aggregate ratio is 53% regardless of cement types. Also, as test results regarding setting time, bleeding content, shortening depth and hydration heat of the combined self compacting concrete by cement type, belite cement type is most stable in the quality properties and is to apply the actual construction work.
