Performance Analysis of Deterministic QoS Guarantees on Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation in a Circuit-Switched Satellite Network (결정적 서비스 질을 보장하는 회선 교환 위성 망의 동적 대역폭 할당에 대한 성능 분석)

  • In this paper, we propose and analyze a more efficient and flexible dynamic data traffic system for a circuit switched satellite network. Our proposed system is more efficient than existing circuit switched satellite networks and allows for dynamic capacity in each connection without rebuilding or resetting the connection software or algorithms. We also discuss an algorithm for bandwidth allocation that provides deterministic quality of service guarantees. The traffic sources are regulated using standard dual leaky buckets; the system performance is analytically evaluated; and the algorithm is verified through simulation. Our analysis scheme and results should prove useful for the design and implementation of protocols in future circuit-switched satellite networks.

  • 최근 들어 인터넷과 관련한 정보통신기술의 발전은 모든 산업환경을 변화시키고 있고, 조선 산업에서도 설계 생산성을 향상시키기 위해서 새로운 설계 패러다임을 선박설계 과정에 적용하고 있다. 현재 차도선을 설계하는 설계사무소의 경우 전문 설계인력이 부족함과 동시에 설계 과정은 동일한 작업이 반복적으로 수작업을 통해 이루어지고 있는 상태이다. 이러한 수작업의 반복은 설계 과장에서 에러를 발생시키고 각 설계 단계별로 발생하는 설계 데이터의 에러로 인해 설계생산성을 저하시키는 요인으로 작용될 수 있다. 따라서 본 시스템 개발은 초기설계 과정을 전산프로그램화 하여 초기설계 단계에서의 설계정보 데이터의 정확성을 높여 설계생산성을 향상시키고 또한 이 프로그램을 인터넷 기반으로 제공하여 분산된 환경에서도 다른 설계 전문가들이 함께 참여 할 수 있게 해 설계 정보를 동시에 공유하여 원격지에서도 설계자가 원하는 자료를 검색할 수 있도록 하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 인터넷 기반을 통한 차도선의 초기설계 프로그램의 핵심을 이루는 인터넷 기반 구현 방법에 대해 소개하고 특히 인터넷 환경에서 차도선의 초기설계 프로그램을 통해 설계정보의 교환 및 공유를 원활하게 구현하는 시스템을 개발하는데 있다.

Character Motion Control by Using Limited Sensors and Animation Data (제한된 모션 센서와 애니메이션 데이터를 이용한 캐릭터 동작 제어)

  • A 3D virtual character playing a role in a digital story-telling has a unique style in its appearance and motion. Because the style reflects the unique personality of the character, it is very important to preserve the style and keep its consistency. However, when the character's motion is directly controlled by a user's motion who is wearing motion sensors, the unique style can be discarded. We present a novel character motion control method that uses only a small amount of animation data created only for the character to preserve the style of the character motion. Instead of machine learning approaches requiring a large amount of training data, we suggest a search-based method, which directly searches the most similar character pose from the animation data to the current user's pose. To show the usability of our method, we conducted our experiments with a character model and its animation data created by an expert designer for a virtual reality game. To prove that our method preserves well the original motion style of the character, we compared our result with the result obtained by using general human motion capture data. In addition, to show the scalability of our method, we presented experimental results with different numbers of motion sensors.

  • In this paper, we propose a video service system that reflects user interaction in the multimedia contents to increase user satisfaction in the restricted content consumption environment. The proposed system is based on the multiple ROI(Region of Interest) coding in H.264/AVC Scalable Video Coding (SVC). The proposed system provides scalable video quality by adopting SVC. And by bidirectional communication between user and video server, it enables user to select meaningful ROI among multiple ROIs by user interaction. To verify the usefulness of the proposed system, we demonstrate it with a test-bed on which user interactive ROIs are implemented.

  • Authors report a case of cystic tuberculosis of left olecranon in a 44 year-old woman, which mimicked the bone tumor at initial presentation. She complained mild discomfort in the left elbow over a month. On examination there were no local redness, swelling, tenderness and deformity. There was no limitation of left elbow motion. After open curettage of the lesion, bone tuberculosis was confirmed by histological study. Postoperative triple chemotherapy of 12 months (Rifamcpicin, ethambutal, INH) could cure the disease.

Changes of Free Amino Acid Compositions and Sensory Properties in Kochjang Added Sea Tangle Powder during Fermentation (다시마를 첨가한 고추장의 숙성 중 유리아미노산 조정 및 관능적 특성 변화)

  • 우리나라의 전통 발효식품인 고추장의 관능성 및 기능성을 더하여 품질을 향상시키기 위하여 전분질원료인 찹쌀무게에 대하여 2%. 4%, 6%, 및 8%의 다시마 분말을 첨가한 후 대조구와 함께 3$0^{\circ}C$에서 12일간 숙성시키면서 유리아미노산과 지방산 조성 acl 관능적 특성을 검토하였다. 숙정 중 대조고추장과 다시마고추장 모두에서 아미노질소는 서서히 증가하는 것으로 나타났으나 아미노질소의 경우 대조고추장에 비해 다시마 고추장에서 다소 낮게 나타났다. 숙성 30일째의 아미노질소량은 각각 171.31mg%, 172.10mg%, 174.18mg%, 185.60mg 및 161.70mg%로 최고값을 보였다 유리아미노산 중에서는 glutamic acid의 함량이 가장 높은 것으로 나타났는데 숙성 이 진행될수록 증가하였다. 또한 arginine, aspartic acid, proline, serine, leucine, lysine 도 비교적 높은 함량을 가졌다. 고추장에서 분리 확인된 지방산은 lauric acid myris-tic acid, palmitic acid stearic acid , oleic acid, linoleic acid 등이었고, 이들 중 oleic acid의 조성비율이 가장 높았고 palmitic acid가 다음으로 높았으며 stearic acid, lauric acid myristic acid의 경우 숙성 후기로 갈수록 산화되어 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 숙성 60일과 120일에 실시한 관능검사의 결과 8% 다시마 첨가구를 제외하고는 대조고추장과 비교하여 다시마 첨가구를 제외하고는 대조고추장과 비교하여 다시마 첨가가 고추장의 관능적 특서엥 영향을 미치지 않았으며 다시마 첨가수준이 높아질수록 높은 값을 나타내어 고추장에 다시마를 6% 정도 첨가하는 것이 적당하였다.

  • Zapla iron ore bodies in Jujuy state, northern Argentina are located within Paleozoic Silurian marine sedimentary rocks and can be categorized into ironstone deposit. Iron ores contain oolitic hematite as main iron mineral as well as siderite and chamosite. Hematite replaced biotite and/or muscovite along their cleavage or grain boundary, which indicates hematite is precipitated by chemical reaction. Silurian basins in northern Argentina has high potential resources for ironstone deposit but economic aspects of ore body can be controlled by magnitude of lateral vertical extensions and local grade variation of iron beds.

  • Kaula's theory of satellite orbit and Kepler's law are re-visited. All the mathematical steps of derivation are thoroughly shown including the ones, which had been omitted in Kaula's original publication. Particularly in evaluations of the 15 independent Lagrange brackets, simplicity and clarity are attained by using orthogonal property of transformation matrix. Explanations of important physical concepts are included as well in the midway of derivation. One conceptual blunder of Kaula's is corrected.

Analysis on the Effect of Lordosis Changes at Lumbar Joint using 3-dimensional Musculoskeletal Model (근골격계 모델을 이용한 요추전만 각도 변화가 요추 관절에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • It is important to consider lumbar lordotic angle for setup of training program in field of sports and rehabilitaton to prevent unexpected posture deviation and back pain. The purpose of this study was to analyze the biomechanical impact of the level of lumbar lordosis angle during isokinetic exercise through dynamic analysis using a 3-dimensional musculoskeletal model. We made each models for normal lordosis, excessive lordosis, lumbar kyphosis, and hypo-lordosis according to lordotic angle and inputted experimental data as initial values to perform inverse dynamic analysis. Comparing the joint torques, the largest torque of excessive lordosis was 16.6% larger and lumbar kyphosis was 11.7% less than normal lordosis. There existed no significant difference in the compressive intervertebral forces of each lumbar joint (p>0.05), but statistically significant difference in the anterioposterior shear force (p<0.05). For system energy lumbar kyphosis required the least and most energy during flexion and extension respectively. Therefore during the rehabilitation process, more efficient training will be possible by taking into consideration not simply weight and height but biomechanical effects on the skeletal muscle system according to lumbar lordosis angles.

  • Structural analysis and evaluation for the 300ton Goliath Crane were conducted with an FEM tool. The Golliath Crane has a 300 ton hoisting weight, a 110 m span and a 50 m lift. All loads such as the self weight, crane traveling load, trolley traveling load, wind load, and earthquake force, etc., that are indicat in the reference standards, were inputted as various severe conditions affecting the crane. The deformation and equivalent stress (von Mises stress) were evaluated for the crane structures.
