Estimation of non-point source pollution loads using inverse modeling and load duration curve (역산모델링과 부하지속곡선을 이용한 비점오염 배출량 산정)

  • 우리나라의 현행 수질오염총량제도에서 비점오염원에 대한 배출량은 배출원별로 유량조건에 따라 배출계수를 적용하여 산정하고 있으나, 강우 및 유역특성에 따라 크게 좌우되는 비점오염 배출특성을 반영하는 것에는 어려움이 있다. 한편, 역산모델링은 결과를 바탕으로 원인 값을 추정하는 방식으로 유량 및 수질측정결과, 점오염원 배출량 등 실측결과를 바탕으로 비점오염 배출량을 추정할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 역산 모델링 기법을 이용하여 경안천 유역에서 배출되는 총인의 비점오염 배출량을 추정하고, 부하지속곡선을 통해 비점배출기준을 산정하고자 한다. 경안천 유역의 수질 및 유량측정자료, 하수처리장 현황, 오염원 자료 등을 수집하여, 점오염원 배출량을 추정하고 역산 모델링을 수행하였으며, 비점배출총량을 산정하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 현행 수질오염 총량제도의 배출계수에 대한 재검토와 향후 유량조건에 따른 차별적인 비점오염원 관리 필요성에 대한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • 미세입자의 배출원을 추정하기 위해서는 수용지점에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 배출원의 화학적 특성에 관한 정보를 필요로 한다. 수용모델(chemical mass balance model, CMB)의 경우, 모델수행에 필요한 정보는 각각의 배출원에서 배출되는 입자의 화학적 구성성분특성을 파악하는 것이 가장 중요하다(Waton et al., 1984; U. S. EPA, 1987; 강병욱 등, 2000) 이러한 배출원으로는 각종 산업배출원, 자동차, 토양, 도로 비산먼지 등 지역의 특성에 따라서 다양한 배출원들이 대상이 될 수 있다. (중략)

Research on CO2 Emission Characteristics of Arterial Roads in Incheon Metropolitan City (인천광역시 간선도로의 이산화탄소 배출 특성 연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of C02 emissions by road before establishing a policy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Method: As for the analysis method, the traffic volume and speed of the road were estimated using the traffic Assignment model targeting 27 arterial road axes in Incheon Metropolitan City. And, after estimating CO2 emissions by road axis by applying this, the characteristics of each group were analyzed through cluster analysis. Result: As a result of cluster analysis using total CO2 emissions, CO2 emissions by truck vehicles, and the ratio of truck vehicle emissions to total carbon dioxide emissions, four clusters were classified. When examining the characteristics of each road included in each group, it was analyzed that the characteristics of each group appeared according to the level of impact by CO2 emissions and truck vehicles. Conclusion: It is judged that it is necessary to establish a plan in consideration of CO2 emission characteristics for road CO2 management for greenhouse gas reduction.

계절 및 지역에 따른 참나무의 이소프렌 배출특성

  • 졸참나무와 상수리나무를 대상으로 계절에 따른 지역(금성산, 지리산 지역)별 이소프렌 배출특성이 비교되었다. 여름철의 지역적 차이는 졸참나무의 경우 다소 약하게 나타났으며, 상수리나무의 경우에는 거의 비슷하게 나타났다. 그러나, 가을철 졸참나무의 경우에는 금성산 지역이 지리산 지역보다 높은 배출속도를 보이는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 지역적 차이가 나타난 것은 성장조건, 기후, 토질 등의 요인이 이소프렌 배출특성에 영향을 주었기 때문인 것으로 사료된다.

  • 대기오염물질 배출계수는 국가기관, 연구기관, 학교, 배출사업장, 환경영향평가사업 등 수많은 분야에서 실질적으로 활용되고 있으며, 배출원에 대한 배출특성을 간접적으로 파악할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 기본부과금의 산정, 대기오염방지설비의 설계, 오염저감계획의 수립 등에 매우 유용하게 이용되고 있다. 따라서, 대부분 선진외국에서는 많은 비용과 인력을 동원하여 대기배출자료를 국가적으로 목록화하는 작업을 추진하여 왔으며, 전 세계적으로 강화된 국제적 환경협약과 환경보호를 위한 무역규제에 대처하기 위하여 국가 대기배출량을 일정한 형식과 산정방법에 의하여 체계적으로 관리하고 있다. Comparison between Congestion Levels and Amount of $CO_2$ Emissions on Arterials (단속류 간선도로에서 지정체와 $CO_2$ 배출량 비교)

  • It has been presumed that the amount of vehicle's $CO_2$ emission would highly related to vehicle's cruising speeds on highways. In this study, it was tested if vehicle's $CO_2$ emissions would relate to the types of highways and the level of congestion. The results showed that the amount of $CO_2$ emission changes depending on (1) the vehicles' cruising speeds (b) congestion levels, and (c) the types of intersections. It was found that the vehicle acceleration and deceleration methods increases the amount of $CO_2$ emission up to 12%. It was also found that it changed up to 30% and 40% depending on the level of congestion and the types of intersections, respectively. The findings imply that the amount of $CO_2$ emission from vehicles should be improved when vehicles' cruising speeds are well managed through congestion management.

  • Technologies for collecting and treating pollutants from point sources are steadily being developed, but Non-point sources, it is difficult to develop emission treatment technologies and effective emission coefficients. However, since non-point sources make up about 60% of domestic emissions, and first of all, the method of calculating emissions should be reasonable, and the workplace should develop emission reduction technologies based on this. This study suggest the effectiveness and improvement of the emission coefficient currently used for the petrochemical industry with high emissions. The emission characteristics of non-point sources emission were confirmed by analyzing the LDAR (Leak Detection And Repair) data of OO company located in Yeosu, Jeollanam-do over the past five years. As a result, there was no difference in discharge characteristics according to fluid phase, but it was confirmed that there was a difference in the size of the device and the characteristics of each manufacturer. In addition, it was confirmed that the emission coefficient applied in the petrochemical industry was larger than that of the refining industry, and improvement measures were suggested. Through these studies, it is expected that emission coefficients specialized in the petrochemical industry can be applied and that the workplace itself will contribute to the development of technologies that can drastically reduce them.

  • The effects of external flow excitation with various frequencies and amplitudes on the flame behavior and pollution emission characteristics from a laminar jet flame are experimentally investigated. Measurements of $NO_x$ emission indices ($EINO_x$), performed in vertical lifted flame like turbulent with various exciting amplitude at a constant resonance frequency, have been conducted. It was also conducted to investigate the effects of excited frequency at a constant exciting amplitude on $NO_x$ emissions with a various frequency ranged 0 Hz to 2 KHz. From the vertical lifted turbulent flame of the excited jet with resonance frequency by strong excitation was shown that the dependence of $NO_x$ emission could be categorized into three groups Group I of long flame length with high disturbances yielding high $NO_x$ emission, Group II of intermediate flame length and relative narrow flame volume with low disturbance yielding low $NO_x$ emission and Group III of long flame length and large flame volume with high time & space disturbances behaviour yielding high $NO_x$ emission.

  • In this research, engine performance and emission characteristics of a 12,000cc heavy duty diesel engine was investigated by the application of GTL and ULSD fuels. The test was conducted at several engine speeds and loads under a single mode and a ESC mode. GTL fuel proves that it can be applicable to vehicles without engine modification.
