Modified Multiple Target Angle Tracking Algorithm with Efficient Equation for Angular Innovation (효율적인 방위각 이노베이션 계산식을 가진 수정된 다중표적 방위각 추적 알고리즘)

  • Ryu et al. proposed a multiple target angle-tracking algorithm with efficient equation for angular innovation, and Ryu's algorithm has good feature that it has no data association problem. Ryu's algorithm is only applicable to linear sensor array, because its efficient equation for angular innovation is derived in case of using a linear sensor array. In a many fields studying multiple target angle-tracking, the various shapes of sensor array are used. In sonar, a cylindrical sensor array is as much used as a linear sensor array, a example is hull mounted sonar. In this paper, Ryu's algorithm is modified to be applicable to cylindrical sensor array, and the tracking performance of a modified algorithm is verified by various computer simulations.

Cascade AOA Estimation Using Uniform Rectangular Array Antenna (등간격 사각 배열 안테나를 적용한 캐스케이드 도래각 추정)

  • In the wireless communication system based on an array antenna, the angle of arrival (AOA) information of signal is very important element and various AOA estimation algorithms have been studied. Although most AOA estimation algorithms employ the uniform linear array (ULA), some algorithms apply the planar array (PA) antenna. In this paper, we present an algorithm for efficiently estimating AOAs of adjacent multiple signals, based on the uniform rectangular array antenna. This approach has two steps; after approximately estimating AOA groups consisting of the closely located signal sources using CAPON, accurately estimating the individual AOA of each signal in the estimated AOA group using Beamsapce MUSIC. The estimation performance of the presented cascade AOA algorithm is illustrated through the computer simulation example.

An Efficient Datapath Placement Algorithm to Minimize Track Density Using Spectral Method (스팩트럴 방법을 이용해 트랙 밀도를 최소화 할 수 있는 효과적인 데이터패스 배치 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient datapath placement algorithm to minimize track density. Here, we consider each datapath element as a cluster, and merge the most strongly connected two clusters to a new cluster until only one cluster remains. As nodes in the two clusters to be merged are already linearly ordered respectively, we can merge two clusters with connecting them. The proposed algorithm produces circular linear ordering by connecting starting point and end point of the final cluster, and n different linear ordering by cutting between two contiguous elements of the circular linear ordering. Among the n different linear ordering, the linear ordering to minimize track density is final solution. In this paper, we show and utilize that if two clusters are strongly connected in a graph, the inner product of the corresponding vectors mapped in d-dimensional space using spectral method is maximum. Compared with previous datapath placement algorithm GA/S $A^{[2]}$, the proposed algorithm gives similar results with much less computation time.

  • 본 논문에서는 유전자 알고리즘을 이용하여 소자간의 상호결합이 고려된 경우 빔 패턴 오차의 허용범위를 만족하는 개별소자의 허용오차를 분석하였다. 소나 배열을 통한 빔 패턴은 개별소자에 인가되는 가중치 뿐 아니라 소자간의 방사임피던스 즉 자기방사 임피던스와 음원 상호간의 음향적 간섭에 의한 상호방사 임피던스에 따라 달라진다. 본 논문에서는 유전자 알고리즘을 이용하여 상호결합이 있는 경우에 대해 1 차원과 2 차원 배열에서 주어진 빔 패턴 허용 범위를 만족하는 각 소자별 허용오차 분석하였다.

  • 다수의 사용자 요구에 의한 비디오 타이틀을 실시간으로 제공해야 하는 VOD 서비스는 클라이언트의 버퍼 안정화와 재생 질 보증을 위해서는 네트워크의 상태를 주기적으로 모니터링하여 그 상태에 따라 디스크 배열에 저장되어 있는 프레임을 드로핑(Dropping)이나 스키핑(Skipping) 알고리즘으로 프레임을 전송하는 메카니즘이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 MPEG을 이용하여 일반 VHS 비디오 테이프의 내용을 손실 압축하여 디스크 배열에 저장해 두고, 디스크 배열에 압축 저장된 MPEG 프레임(I, P, B 프레임) 데이터를 네트워크의 부하에 따라 저장장치에서 생략 인출하여 클라이언트에 전송하는 알고리즘을 제시한다. 또한 시뮬레이션을 통해 네트워크의 부하에 적응적으로 대처하여 네트워크의 부하를 줄이고 클라이언트의 수신 버퍼를 안정화시킬 수 있음을 검증한다.

  • In this paper, we propose a resolution enhancement method for estimating direction-of-arrival (DOA) of narrowband incoherent signals incident on a general array. The resolution of DOA algorithm is dependent on the aperture size of antenna array. But it is very impractical to increase the physical size of antenna array in real environment. Therefore we propose the method that increases the aperture size by virtually expanding the sensor spacing of original antenna array and then construct the steering matrix of the virtual array using the proper transformation matrix. Superior resolution capabilities achieved with this method are shown by simulation results in comparison with the standard MUSIC for incoherent signals incident on a uniform circular array.

  • A radiating elements fault diagnosis method with simplified radiation pattern measurement procedure was presented for planar active phased array antenna system. For presenting the mentioned method, the technique for linear approximation based on the radiation characteristics of a planar array configuration and a technique for solving a unique solution problem that occur in process of diagnosing a fault in a radiating elements were presented. Based on the presented method and a genetic algorithm, experimental simulations were performed for radiating element defect diagnosis according to various planar active phased array antenna configurations. As a result, it was confirmed that the presented radiating element fault diagnosis method can be smoothly applied to planar active phased antennas having various configurations.

  • In this paper, a high-speed calibration method for phased array antennas in the far-field is presented A max calibration, which is a simplification of the rotating-element electric-field vector (REV) method that calibrates each antenna element only through received power, and a method of grouping calibrations by sub-array unit rather than each antenna element were proposed. Using the Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO) algorithm, we found a partitioning optimized for the distribution of phased array antennas and calibrated it on a subarray basis. An adaptive max calibration method that allows faster calibration than the conventional method was proposed and verified through simulation. Not only is the gain of the phased array antenna higher while calibration is being made to the target, but the beam pattern is closer to the ideal beam pattern than the conventional method.

  • 첨단 과학 장비를 이용한 시뮬레이션의 결과로 데이터의 정확도 및 정밀도가 향상되어 대용량의 이차원 배열 데이터가 생성되고 있다. 대용량의 이차원 배열 데이터에서 유사 구역 (similar region)을 찾아내는 것은 매우 의미 있는 일이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 대용량의 이차원 배열데이터에서 유사 구역을 찾는 단순 방법(naïve method)과 효율적으로 탐색할 수 있는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 또한 단순 방법과 제안 알고리즘의 시간 복잡도(time complexity)를 분석하고 실험을 통해 제안 방법이 단순 방법보다 더 빠르게 처리함을 보인다.

Linear Ordering with Incremental Merging for Circuit Netlist Partitioning (회로 결선도 분할을 위해 점진적 병합을 이용한 선형배열)

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient linear ordering algorithm, called LIME, for netlist partitioning. LIME incrementally merges two segments which are selected based on the proposed cost function until only one segment remains. The final resultant segment then corresponds to the linear ordering. LIME also runs extremely fast, because it exploits sparsity of netlist. Compared to the earlier work, the proposed algorithm is eight times faster in producing linear ordering and yields an average of 17% improvement for the multi-way scaled cost partitioning.
