This study analyzed the relationship between elderly suicide rates and socio-economic factors from the macroscopic perspectives. As certain theoretical background of elderly suicide, sociological and economic perspectives are applied. The economic factors of elderly suicide rates consisted of economic growth and unemployment rate, economic activity rate of the aged, and relative poverty rate (income inequality rate). The sociological factors included social welfare spending, divorce rate, growth rate of population aging, and elderly dependency ratio. According to research findings, first, the more economic activity of the aged is low, the more elderly suicide rate is high. Second, the more social welfare spending rate goes flat, the more elderly suicide rate is growing. Third, the more relative poverty rate (income inequality), increasing population aging rate, and elderly dependency ratio are high, elderly suicide rate goes high at the same time. Finally, this study proposed several socio-economic policy alternatives for preventing continuous growth of Korean elderly suicide rate.

The goal of this study is analysing a box office success of The Handmaiden in terms of modified space-time and character. The movie which has original novel induces desire of watching by decreasing property of experience good of movie based narrative of novel. Contrary to novel that is set in Victorian age, the movie changed contents that make a character who realizes masculine of colonialism and women oppressed by man escape through transcending class by adopting period of Japanese occupation. It hereby decreases negative effect by substituting growth and solidarity of women for the element of homosexuality. Also the gender discussion about crimes against female when the movie was running increases factor of sympathy of characters and accord with subject of the movie. Beside that, The reasons of success are detector, star system of actor, effective public marketing of movie trailer and selection of movie won the award for best picture at a film festival.. Movie through adapting novel enhances ability of various creation and blow up appreciation of spectator. The differentiation of adapted hit movie is that the altered content is creative, has subject that corresponding with universal awareness transcending space-time and expresses property of media effectively.

The goal of this study is an exploratory statistical analysis of the university and college library statistics in the Academic Information Statistics System(rinfo.kr) governed of Korean Education and Research Information Service(KERIS) with performance measures based on sustainability. For the goal, we adopt a preprocessing method to develop change-rate variables by considering preceding predictive elements and succeeding performance elements, and to control external factors, such as size and socioeconomic factors. Then we execute a series of factor analyses and multiple linear regression analyses. 13 factors are extracted by the factor analyses and some sets of significant variables affecting the performance measures are identified through the regression analyses. Based on the results, we discuss the problem of out-lier and low correlation between variables. A suggestion for developing new variables is also discussed based on low effect sizes of the developed regression models. We hope that this study contributes to diffuse discussions on statistics system, evaluation, and further library management based on sustainability.

The purpose of this study is to identify the determinants of planned behavior of adolescent, toward information security and cyber crime prevention. A survey methodology was used to investigate a proposed model of influence, and regression analysis was used to analyze the results. The hypothesized model was largely supported by this analysis, and the overall results indicate that the intention to actively participate in information security and cyber crime prevention is mostly influenced by the fear for cyber crime and the perceived usefulness of information security and cyber crime prevention activity. In addition, it was found that the perceived easy of use for information-security related ICT skill, fear for cyber crime, and social norm for information security influence the level of usefulness, but that the prior experience with information leaking was statistically insignificant factor to the level of usefulness and fear for crime. Useful suggestions for promoting information security and cyber crime prevention are also provided.

With changing to the new information technology society, education has also been urged to utilize the Information Ccmmunication Technology(ICT). Thanks to the recent efforts by the government, a large number of schools has been equipped with advanced educational technologies. While there has been a lot of studies on how to use ICT more effectively, relatively few is the studies about the activating factors of ICT utilization. More than often than not, those studies have been conducted about the survey of current situations of ICT utilization and have never had implemented based on the theory of diffusion of innovation. As a result, the current study surveyed the previous studies about encouraging and resistance factors of ICT utilization in light of the theory of diffusion of innovation and environmental encouraging factors by Ely. Then, the efforts were made to present suggestions to encourage the utilization of ICT in schools.

In order to identify the antecedents of organization's exploration activities, this study focuses on internal factors. There are many theoretical and empirical studies for an organization's exploration activities, while the research on antecedents is limited. This study is aimed at the manufacturing industry in Korea from 1998 to 2012 using data from 15 years of slack, ownership structure, and TMT diversity. The study examined the impact of these firm-specific factors on firm's exploration activities. As a result, a company's exploration activities and slack have positive relationship. Between insider ownership and exploration activities, the hypothesis was not supported. Also, the relationship between TMT diversity and exploration activities was dismissed. Finally, based on the results of this analysis, the contribution of this study, limitations and implications are drawn.

This research is to investigate the effect of teenagers' motivating factors on their own self-efficacy and school-life satisfaction. Positive analysis of data was made based upon the theoretical background. Also, the casual relation between the motivating factors of teenagers and their self-efficacy and school-life satisfaction was verified. The result of the study was as follows: stress, family effect, and mass communications had an effect on intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. The intrinsic motivation had an effect on the school-life satisfaction, and the extrinsic motivation was revealed to have an effect on the self-efficacy and school-life satisfaction. Students' self-efficacy also influenced their school-life satisfaction. This study suggested a few methods to improve teenagers' self-efficacy and their school-life satisfaction through the motivating factors.

The purpose of this study is to examine the factors influencing performance of internal, external environment and entrepreneurship in the social enterprise with network activity. This model tests various theoretical research hypotheses relating to performance of social enterprise, internal, external environment, entrepreneurship and network activity. The proposed model is analyzed to target social entrepreneurs. The results of hypothesis testing are as follows. First, organizational culture positively influence entrepreneurship. Second, environmental uncertainty positively influence entrepreneurship. Third, entrepreneurship positively influence managerial and social performance. Finally, organizational culture to entrepreneurship for high group of network activity is significantly larger than those for low group of network activity. In addition, environmental uncertainty to entrepreneurship for low group of network activity is significantly larger than those for high group of network activity.

The purpose of the research was to investigate the differences in quality of life by gender and to identify the factors that influence the qulatiy of life focused on health practice. Quality of Life was measured by the Korean health related Quality of Life Scale(KQOLS) which was developed to reflect the regional, cultural and emotional background. Questionnaires were collected from 115 undergraduate male and female students in D city. Male had higher KQOLS than female but there was no statistically significant difference but appeared statistically significantly higher KQOLS in the subdomains of physical functioning, Vitality, Mental health, spiritual health. A difference analysis of determinants of the quality of life in undergraduated male and female focused on health practice showed that the factors that influenced the quality of life in male were disease, regular exercise, BMI and the explanation of antecedent variables stood at 25.1%. On the other hand, these variables did not explain the quality of life in female.

It is common to say that Korean journalists' professionalism including the public broadcaster KBS is immature. This study used the Q methodology to explore the subjectivity that KBS reporters and citizens have formed about reporters' occupational achievements. we tried to find out the background and reasons of the subjective dimensions of journalists regarding the immature state of Korean journalists' professionalism. Under a condition for sorting of 'a reporter most likely to be promoted', using 95 statements related to the reporter's occupational achievements, 30 KBS reporters, 10 university students who were eager to be a journalist, and 40 ordinary people of various ages, a total of 80 participants took part in the Q sorting. A total of 3 Q factors were extracted, then analyzed in detail into a total of 6 reporter types divided into (+) and (-) sub types for each factor. As a result, six types of perceptions and attitudes were named as 'a professional reporter','a schemer reporter','an organizational loyalty reporter', 'a passionate reporter','a careerist reporter', and 'a reliable worker'. This study can be meaningful in that it further deepened and expanded the existing researches concerning Korean journalist's professional identity.
