Vibration Isolation System of a Large Reverberation Chamber (대형 잔향실의 방진 설계 및 검증)

  • A vibration isolation system fur a large reverberation chamber (1,228㎥, 1,000ton) has been installed. The reverberation chamber generates loud noise and induces high level of vibration to perform spacecraft acoustic environmental tests. The isolation system prevents vibration transfer from the chamber to enclosure buildings. This paper describes logical design process and commissioning experiments of the system. Design criteria have been induced from rigid body model of the chamber. Finite element model has been employed to select the characteristics of rubber pads. A total of 21 rubber pads have been installed between the chamber and supporting pedestals. A sand bag of 800kg was dropped on the chamber floor to measure the natural frequency of the isolation system. Absolute transmissibility has been measured while generating 145㏈ in the chamber. The natural frequency of the chamber is 10.5㎐, which is 80% of estimated value. Overall transmissibility at working frequency range (25㎐-10,000㎐) is less than -6㏈.

  • This paper discusses the accelerated heat aging tests were carried out to predict the useful life of EPDM isolating rubber components of ventilation fan motor for clean room. 20% compression set results changes as the threshold are used for assessment of the useful life and the time to threshold value were plotted against reciprocal of absolute temperature to give the Arrhenius plot. The useful life at variable temperatures and activation energy are obtained from the Arrhenius relationship. An accelerated test program to assess useful life can be represented an appreciable investment in time was designed. We also considered the effect of antioxidant agents.

  • Recently the construction of stations under railway lines and railway sections passing through central area of cities are increasing, calling for an urgent establishment of countermeasures against railway vibration and its subsequent second-phase noise. Of technology developed up to now, the most efficient countermeasure is the floating slab track, a track system isolated from the sub-structure by springs. Unfortunately, however, the system design technology and technology for key components have not yet developed in Korea. As such, in this study, the analysis and design technology of floating slab track and its vibration isolator technology can be achieved. In preparation for future demands, it is expected to raise awareness for the need of technology self-support and to make a meaningful contribution to mitigating vibration and noise produced by the next-generation high-speed railway.

  • Recently the construction of stations under railway lines and railway sections passing through central area of cities are increasing, calling for an urgent establishment of countermeasures against railway vibration and its subsequent second-phase noise. Of technology developed up to now, the most efficient countermeasure is the floating slab track, a track system isolated from the sub-structure by springs. Developed in this study, anti-vibration device for floating slab track (HLRM-High Load Rubber Mount) Haman station affiliated to the primary measurement was conducted in October 2012, one year after the second measurement after 2013 to be carried out in November and we want to change that. It is expected to raise awareness for the need of technology self-support and to make a meaningful contribution to mitigating vibration and noise produced by the next-generation high-speed railway.

Preparation and Properties of Polyorganosiloxane Modified Maleated EPDM/EPDM Rubber Vibration Isolator (Polyorganosiloxane 변성 말레화 EPDM/EPDM 방진고무의 제조와 그 특성)

  • The surface of Alnico, one of the industrial dust waste, was treated with 1,3,5-trivinyl-1,3,5-trimethylcyclotrisilazane (VMS) as a surface treating agent and used as the filler for vibration isolator rubber. Maleated EPDM prepared from bulk polymerization of EPDM with maleic anhydride was copolymerized with ${\alpha},{\omega}$-bis(3-aminopropyl)polydimethylsiloxane to obtain maleated EPDM-polydimethylsiloxane copolymer (MEPDM-PDMS). EPDM/Alnico/MEPDM-PDMS vibration isolator rubber was prepared from compounding with Alnico treated with surface treating agent, 25 and 50 phrs to EPDM, respectvely based on 1 to 10 wt% of MEPDM-PDMS to EPDM. From the measurement of the thermal properties to the rubber, the glass transition temperatures (Tg) for the rubber containing maleated EPDM-PDMS copolymer was slightly lower temperature, $33^{\circ}C$ than EPDM rubber, and also DMA results showed higher tan ${\delta}$ peak to the rubber prepared from compounding with EPDM-PDMS copolymer. From the results, rubber prepared using EPDM-PDMS copolymer had better vibration isolator property.

  • 주헌건설(주)은 지난해 6월 자체 개발한 내진 스프링가대가 특허(제10-0962993호)를 획득함에 따라 본격생산에 들어갔다. 내진 스프링가대는 펌프 등 실비기기의 자체진동을 방지하고 지진 발생시 충격을 흡수해 산재사고 예방 및 내진 안전성을 확보하는 장치이다. 이 제품은 지난 2010년 10월 "제4차 UN 재해위험 경감을 위한 아시아 각료회의"의 부대행사로 열린 재해경감 방재산업전에 출품해 호평을 받았다. 또한 배관의 신축 팽창을 자체 흡수하고 각종 슈 대신 절연 유볼트로 시공하므로 원가절감 효과가 있으며 타 공정과의 간섭 없이 시공할 수 있는 장점이 있다.

진동기초의 설계

  • 본 기사는 지난 2월 한양대학교에서 개최되었던 제7회 기술강습회 교재의 내용을 발췌하여 요약정리한 내용으로서, 진동기초의 설계개념을 다른 일반적인 기초와의 차이점을 강조하면서 기술하였다. 본 기사에서는 전체적인 설계절차 및 개념을 소개하기 위하여 해석이론 부문의 언급을 회피하였는데 이 부분에 대한 내용은 다른 주제에서 다루게 된다. 즉, 두번째 주제에서는 블럭형 기초의 설계에 대한 해석이론 및 설계절차를 예제를 통하여 설명하고 있으며, 세번째 주제에서는 프레임형 기초, 그리고 네번째 주제에서는 깊은 기초에 대한 해석이론 및 설계절차를 역시 예재를 통하여 설명하였다. 마지막으로 다섯번째 주제에서는 기계진동을 차단하는 것을 목적으로 하는 방진기초의 설계개념에 대하여 기술하고 있다.

The Influence of Soft/Hard Segment Composition and Content on the Abrasion Resistance of Polyurethane Coating Agents (폴리우레탄 코팅제에 있어서 Hard Segment와 Soft Segment의 조성 및 함량변화가 내마모성에 미치는 영향)

  • Weatherstrip coatings of urethane and silicon type which are fit to EPDM and thermoplastic materials are used in sealing systems for automotive applications for noise reduction and high slip characteristics for external applications, respectively. Polyurethane binder was successfully synthesized from poly(butyladiphate)diol (PBAD), poly(tetramethylene)glycol (PTMG) and isocyanate as starting materials. Then, polyurethane coating agents were prepared by using various additives. To investigate effects of segment types on the abrasion resistance of polyurethane coating agents, thin films based on polyurethane coating materials were fabricated. With increasing the amount of hard segment in the coating agent, abrasion resistance, modulus and tensile strength of the coating films were improved, but the elongation of the coating films was decreased.
