An Evaluative Study on the 7th National Elementary-school Science Curriculum Implementation (제7차 초등 과학과 교육과정 운영 실태 분석)

  • This study investigated how the 7th national elementary school science curriculum was implemented at science classrooms. Data from surveys with 140 elementary schools, 18 science classroom observations, and in-depth interviews with teachers were used to examine the characteristics of elementary school science instruction. Based on the data, I explored (1)how science curriculum is operated in terms of objectives, contents, methods and evaluation of school science, and (2)how student-centeredness and localization themes are reflected on the reconstructed school science curriculum. It was found that the degree of the reorganization of the national curriculum at the teacher level was minimal. And most of the elementary teachers followed the directions and contents of the science textbook and teacher's guidebook regardless of their own local situations. For most teachers, restructuring science curriculum meant reordering the sequences of the contents, and adding or deleting some units or topics. I also examined why elementary teachers have difficulty in reconstructing science curriculum at the classroom level. The necessity of curriculum reconstruction at the teacher level is also discussed.

  • Completed in September 1796, Suwon Hwaseong Fortress is a defense facility with 49 facilities spanning 5,744m. During the Japanese occupation and the Korean War, many buildings and walls were damaged, and in 1975, it was restored to its current state through the restoration and restoration project in Suwon. Six of the entire facilities have not been restored by urbanization, of which the restoration of water spaces, including ditches buried in the ground, could be used as a place of rest and viewing for visitors. Tourists visiting Suwon Hwaseong, are satisfied with exploring the historic sites, but feel insufficient for enjoying the natural scenery around the castle. The best way to create a natural landscape in Suwon Hwaseong, where urbanization has been developed, is to create a water space to make you feel the traditional garden. Therefore, the location, shape, and functions of the unrestored water space of Hwaseong Fortress were analyzed through the analysis of 『Hwaseong Seongyeog Uigwe』 and 『Hwaseong Full Map』. The purpose of this study is to derive the traditional landscaping method by analyzing the characteristics of water space.

Pollination Mechanism of Bupleurum latissimum (Apiaceae) (멸종위기종인 섬시호(Bupleurum latissimum, 산형과)의 수분기작)

  • The pollination system of Bupleurum latissimum Nakai (Apiaceae) was investigated in the natural population of Korea. The various insects of 19 species, 11 families, 5 orders visited the flowers of B. latissimum. Episyrphus balteatus and Lasioglossum occidens were considered as the most effective pollen vector which have associated specially with B. latissimum. The visitation frequency peaked at 10 AM - 13 PM and no visitor was recognized during night time. The flowers of B. latissimum last during only three days and they are protandry. It is also confirmed that the flower of B. latissimum is self-compatible and cross-pollination by vectors is critical for successful seed setting.

  • Due to the impact of birth rate, the school age population decreases year by year, and as a result, the Ministry of Education conducts the layout adjustment for middle and primary schools and cancels substantial rural schools. Nearly half of the cancelled and idle schools are not applied till now. Combining the practical demand of local residents, it is quite necessary to make use of the idle schools effectively again. Consequently, field investigation is conducted for the architectural status of 28 idle schools in Pingle County of Guilin, Guangxi, and detail investigation and analysis has been carried out for the different scales of schools from various aspects, including the covered area, traffic, building construction, space composition, degree of aging, etc. The investigation result shows that small teaching schools are remote, being small in scale, single in space and serious in aging. Complete primary schools are close to the villages and towns, being large in scale, abundant in space, and well preserved. The teaching schools are between the previous two types. Meanwhile, it is generally convenient in traffic, and good in structure. It can provide fundamental data for the future utilization and study.

  • With the development of online shopping and the rapid growth of IT technology, among various forms of online shopping the intense competition also more deepen. So in online shopping and offline shopping can get differentiation characteristics of competitiveness, so our marketing target is the couples and planning to couples' activity is necessary. In this research, it is planning and implement an web site to design and implement sales strategies for the young people. For this, we analysis based on the existing commercial site's event planning of couples, design and suggest strategy for increasing sales, construct a web site with couples' birthday marketing strategy and various commemorative activities and customer visit web sites with activities more prominent as the goal, and with marketing planning and information configuration as the centre. This is expected to be through to increase effect of the part of the object by customer group activities to improve sales.

  • Materials that can be use in CAD/CAM are composite, ceramic, hybrid and metal. Among the available materials, monolithic ceramic technique which is the manufacturing technique using one type of the materials is mainly used in a dental office. It is the technique where final tooth-shaped prostheses are made from the material block and used after polishing or applying heat and that does not require traditional ceramic build-up process. Although shot of esthetic quality, because manufactured within 1 hour the monolithic ceramic technique has advantages such as that treatment can be completed in one day and in one time visit, that stability of the material is high because there are low possibility of distort by not melting and phase transformation, and that it can be easily worked in the office with computer assisted devices. We classified the materials that can be used in this technique based on their generations from clinical stand point.

  • Generally, the container road transportal ion am be divided into three types; short distance, long distance and shuttle transportation. Also container vehicle am be divided into three types according to the chassis types of vehicle; only 20-feet container, only 40-feet container, combined chassis trailer. This paper deals with Vehicle Routing Problem(VRP) for delivering containers considering shuttle transportation. The shuttle service occurs several amounts of container which is same as O/D pairs. This problem is similar to the previously studied VRP for delivering containers using combined chassis trailers, but the characteristics of shuttle service must be considered additionally. We formulate the container shuttle transportation planning problem using combined chassis trailers based on VRP with pick-up and delivery which can visit each node more than one time, and propose an efficient solution procedure.

  • This study investigates to explain preference heterogeneity of respondents for economic valuation in washland of Upo wetland using Mixed Logit Model and Latent Class Model. Mixed Logit Model showed respondent heterogeneity in the attributes of wetland area and funds as well as some alternatives violated IIA assumption. 2-class Latent Class Model for respondents were used to explain the sources of the heterogeneity. Class 1 respondents who are located relatively close to Upo wetland had more experience and knowledge of Upo wetland and better understood the information suggested in the questionnaire than class 2 respondents in mostly metropolitan area of Seoul, Incheon.

  • The requesting a consultation of the farm manager is about the diagnosis and prevention of the breeding and extermination for diseases and insects in greenhouse, the managing problem for diseases and insects turn up a main issue. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a PDA based greenhouse, diseases and insects management system for mobile(GDIMS) uses as keeping up with ubiquitous time, which makes prediction and management for diseases and insects more efficiently checked at any time and anywhere you want to, and go well with the motto of ubiquitous. This system is using the environmental data from the greenhouse attached sensors provide the accurate diagnosis and recipes, which supports to product clean crops. There are no need to visit the greenhouse because our system is based on mobile devices that obtain the information in the greenhouse, which makes management in efficient with little number of people. This wort builds simply virtual greenhouse model that assembles system component of environmental sensor for performance analysis and offers a PDA view of the greenhouse status.
