논문과 특허는 연구 성과의 명시적 산물로서 그 수와 인용되어지는 정도는 연구 성과와 그 질을 측정, 평가하는데 많이 이용되어왔다. 본 연구에서는 우리나라의 분야별 논문수와 피인용수를 이용하여 우리나라 논문 발표 활동이 여타 다른 국가들과 비교하여 어떤 특징을 보이는지 살펴보았다. 우리나라의 논문 발표 활동은 미국, 일본, 영국, 프랑스, 독일 등 선진국이나 스위스, 핀란드 둥 유럽소국과도 다른 양상을 보였다. 특정 분야에 특화 된 정도나 분야별 연구 결과의 편차 등은 대만, 중국 등 현재 과학기술이 급격한 성장추세에 있는 나라와 비슷한 양상을 보였다. 이번 연구는 논문 분석이 각 국가의 전체적인 과학 활동의 특징을 파악하는데 도움이 될 수 있음을 제시하였다고 하겠다.

본 논문은 Beveridge와 Nelson의 시계열분리 기법을 사용해 순이익을 영구부분과 일시부분으로 분리하여 널리 알려진 순이익 발표 후 주가의 표류가 투자자들이 순이익의 일시부분을 불완전하게 고려하는 데서 온다는 Rendleman, Jones, 및 Latane(1987)(RJL)와 Bernard와 Thomas(BT)의 주장에 대한 추가적인 증거를 제시하고 있다. 특히 주식시장에 대한 전통적인 관점은 투자자들이 순이익의 일시부분도 완전하게 고려한다고 보는 반면 RJL와 BT는 투자자들이 순이익의 일시부분을 전혀 고려하지 않는다고 보고 있다. 그러나 본 논문에서는 투자자들이 순이익의 일시부분에 어느 정도의 비중을 부여할 가능성이 있다는 포괄적인 관점을 검증하고 또 투자자들이 규모가 작은 기업의 일시부분에 대해 규모가 큰 기업의 경우보다 더 작은 비중을 부여한다는 가설을 추가로 검증하고 있다. 본 논문의 결과는 예상과 대체로 일치하고 있다. 본 논문의 결과는 미국 주식시장에서 널리 알려진 변칙현상인 순이익 발표 후 지속적인 주가의 변동에 대한 우리의 이해를 증진시키며, 아울러 본 논문에서 사용하고 있는 순이익의 시계열분리를 통한 분석은 우리나라 주식시장 자료에도 적용될 수 있다고 전망된다.

대학교의 논문 발표 현황 및 피인용 횟수는 오늘날 대학교를 평가하는데 있어 중요한 지표 중 하나이다. 본 논문은 국내 대학교 중 KAIST를 선정하여 논문 실적을 분석함으로써 대학교의 연구 활동에 대해 분석하였다. 분석한 지표는 학과별 논문 발표 수, 피인용 횟수로 평가한 논문 순위, 활동성이 높은 학술지, 협업기관으로 각 지표들은 주 저자 기준이다. 이러한 결과는 향후 국내 대학교 간의 대학교 평가 체계에 적용될 수 있으며, 연구 활동 분석을 통해 각 대학교들은 자체적으로 실적 평가 및 연구 정책 설정 등을 할 수 있을 것이라 기대한다.

In North Korea, where there was little external activity, the number of overseas academic paper publications has recently increased. This study aims to quantitatively analyze North Korean papers published abroad to identify changes in North Korea's research and development trends, and to explore the possibility of developing them through joint research with domestic researchers in the future. To this end, since 1986, frequency analysis and network analysis have been conducted on papers published overseas including North Korean researchers. The analysis was conducted on authors, research institutes, countries, and research fields, and changes were analyzed before and after Kim Jong-un took office. According to the results of the analysis, as the number of foreign papers published rapidly increased during the eight years after Kim Jong-un took office, the composition of the top researchers, research institutes, and researchers with high influence in joint research also changed a lot. After Kim Jong-un came to power, the proportion of North Korean researchers and research institutes increased relatively, and a network component was formed between researchers with high influence on joint research, so it was observed that they focused on specific research topics. It was found that the major foreign collaborators or research institutes of North Korean researchers were from China.

"지난 9월 22일에서 25일까지 KOEX에서 개최된 '제1회 서울국제데이터베이스 전시회'는 국내에서 처음 개최된 데이터베이스관련 국제전시회였다는 점에서도 여러가지 의미가 있는 행사였다. 그중에서도 행사기간중인 9월 24일 같은 장소에서 열린 '서울 국제데이터베이스 세미나'는 그간 매년 여러번에 걸쳐 준비되어온 'DB산업 육성을 위한 세미나'를 총정리하면서 고도정보화와 국제화를 맞이하는 국내 DB산업이 안고있는 문제점을 정책 및 공공적인 측면, 이용마인드 확산이라는 홍보 혹은 마케팅적인 측면, 개발과 유통의 표준화라는 기술적인 측면, 해외정보 이용과 기술이전이라는 측면 등에서 다각적으로 점검해 보는 귀중한 기회였다. 세미나에서 발표된 4편의 논문을 분야별로 살펴보면, DB산업의 현좌표에 대해서 최동휘 상무(한국PC통신)가 '국내외 DB산업현황'을, 해외정보이용 마인드 고취와 기술이전에 대해 Jeen Videau 부사장(KSD)이 'DB를 활용한 기술이전 방안'을 DB이용마인드 확산을 위한 마케팅 방법에 대해 우동진 실장(한국전자통신연구소)이 '이용자측면에서 본 DB문제점과 해결방안'을, 마지막으로 DB의 표준화에 대해 오해석 교수(숭실대)가 'DB구축과 유통 표준화'를 발표하는 등 각 분야에서 골고루 핵심적인 논문이 제시되었고 아울러 200여명의 참석자들이 이에 대한 열띤 토론을 벌였다. 이에 'DB월드'에서는 세미나에서 발표된 논문들을 지난호(DB구축과 유통표준화)에 이어 차례로 게재합니다.

The abstracts written in Korean presented at the Fall Meeting of the Korean Earth Science Society held at the Kangwon National University in October, 1999 were reviewed. They are dotted with foreign expressions and obscure wordings as well as difficult expressions and very long sentences. The foreign expressions are those originated from Japanese, English, and Chinese expressions and words. Several suggestions are made to increase the ability to write good abstracts and articles in Korean on the earth sciences. They include reading many books on natural sciences for general readers, writing sentences not exceeding 20 words, critical reading by professor or colleagues, and open mind to accept their criticisms. The authors should pay attention not to commit various errors shown in Table 2 in this paper.

Interactive intervention of the human presenter is one of the important factors that make the visualization more effective. Rather than just showing the content, the presenter enhances the process of the information delivery by providing the context of visualization. In this paper, we define this as an augmented presentation. In augmented presentation concept, the presenter can facilitate presentation more actively by being fully immersed in the visualization space and reaching and interacting into digital information. In order to concrete the concept, we design presentation space that enables the presenter to be seamlessly immersed in the visualization. Also we increase the presenter's roles as a storyteller, controller and augmenter allowing the presenter to fully support communicative process between the audience and the visualization. Then, we present an augmented presentation system to verify the proposed concept. We rendered 3D visualization through a half-mirror film and a wall projection screen that are place in parallel and applied with stereoscopic images, then, spatially align the presenter inside the virtual visualization space. After that, we conduct a controlled experiment to investigate the subjective level of immersion and engagement of the audience to HoloStation compared to traditional presentation system. Our initial investigation suggests that the newly conceived augmented presentation has potential not only to enhance the information presentation but also to supports the delivery of visualization.

Recently, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications(MIC) of Japan announced the policies for effective use of spectrum in the 2010s based on the developments of spectrum usage technology, at the same time resolving the social issues in Japan. In Aug. 2010, the establishment of "special white space areas" was suggested to promote the systematization of white space, and a prior model for actualizing the suggestion was published. Also, Action Plan for the frequency reorganization toward building wireless broadband. This paper investigates the future image of the services and systems in the 2010s and surveys the background of the implementing radio wave policy, the major strategy and the policy directions published by MIC of Japan. The contents suggested by this paper contribute to formulating domestic spectrum policies and to promoting the usage and application of spectrum.

In this study, the new model of presentation remote controller in which has improved the conventional function and deteceted the level of human's tension on a real time basis is suggested and tested. Existing presentation remote controller was just used turning the pages. But new model controls presentation and check tension level on real time using the smart phone's bluetooth interface. The proposed system is comprised with the PPG (Photo-Plethysmo-Graphy) sensor, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi modules. The configured system is to process (within 150 ms) the pulse signals of the presenter and stored the data. As a result, it can check and make up for the week presentation part and used as sources for improving self-confidence. This is the result obtained from the process of capstone design irregular course for 20 weeks of a graduate-to-be in four-year college.

The purpose of this study is to provide an in-depth analysis on the publication patterns of the 1,029 journal articles by the Life Sciences' faculty at the K University, for the years 2004-2017 and to investigate any difference between their publication patterns and the citedness for the years 2004-2018. Among the three funding agency types, the research publications supported by foreign funding received the more citations than publications by other types of funding, and the study also found a statistical difference in the citedness (F = 10.467, p < .000***). In addition, the internationally co-authored publications received more citations than three other types of co-authored publications in terms of the immediacy index per publication and the average citations per publication.
